Quoted from elsewhere: "The reason why woke demands are so outrageous is because they are meant to break your will and doubt your sanity. The objective is gaslighting not persuasion."
That why this pretend "gender" issues are pushed so hard. IF they can convince the general public that *these* facts are no longer facts, they can convince us that facts are no longer facts anywhere.

I don't think belief or persuasion enters into it. One of the major purposes behind propaganda is to force you to say and champion not only something untrue but things you absolutely know to be untrue.
Or else.

Preach it, Brother. What would be funny if it wasn't so serious is that the Russians, the Chinese, the Iranians, and the Norks - all of whom cheerfully persecute and often execute their trans citizens - watch this horror show and convince themselves a little more each day that we'll be pushovers when The Day comes.

Baldwin, the person, pulled the trigger and tragically killed someone. Criminal negligence, at least. Baldwin, the producer, is responsible for the lack of gun safety process on the job site. Both Baldwins are financially liable for damages.

So the lawyers for the two Baldwins will manage t put all the financial liability on Baldwin, the producer, who will have managed to empty the production company of all value, so the victims' and their survivors will receive nothing.

[Armstrong Institute] The problem we have is that the government protects its own and routinely refuses to pay victims of vaccines while granting 100% immunity to Big Pharma. So why should they really care if the product is safe or not? Big Pharma will make nearly $100 billion next year from this endless pandemic they hope to keep going without end.
John Hopkins is in on the scam. Big Pharma has been lobbying the government to look the other way to make sure everyone is forced to take their vaccines. Threats that you lose your job unless you submit is clearly an abuse of power when this is nowhere near as lethal as the Spanish Flu of 1918, when masks also were deemed "useless," as reported by the Washington Post.
Then the world’s greatest pretend philanthropist, Bill Gates, who invests in Big Pharm and is making a fortune pushing this pandemic, will not provide vaccines to poor nations for free but wants the US and Europe to pay him for the vaccines and they donate them. That is by no mean a philanthropist. Every small businessman is a philanthropist under Gates; the definition is because you are providing employment which in his view is charity.

[ColonelCassad] It is reported from Syria that the Kurds from the YPG have transferred the settlements on the front line around Tal Rifat
...also spelt Tal Rifaat ...
under the control of the SAA and the military police of the Russian Federation in order to avoid the Turkish offensive operation. Russian flags appeared on the front line. Turkish sources say that "the Kurds are again cowardly hiding from the might of the Turkish army behind Russian flags."
The Syrians write that the presence of the YPG in Tal Rifat is also declining and that the Kurds this time have a brain. Russian reconnaissance and combat aircraft were spotted in the Tal Rifat area.
If the area is taken under the control of the military police of the Russian Federation and the SAA (according to the scheme of transferring settlements on the front line around Manbij), then we have a scheme.
Assad is demonstratively preparing for an offensive in Idlib.
Erdogan is demonstratively preparing for an offensive on Tal Rifat.
Kurds from the YPG again transfer part of the occupied territory to Assad and the Russian Federation in order to avoid the offensive of the Turkish army. Profit.
If they do not, then the Afrin variant is always possible, when the Kurds did not convey anything, but they did not like the consequences.
Actually, in the near future it will be determined what they agreed on and what Erdogan and Putin did not agree on.
All that's left is to wait. The main goal remains unchanged: increasing the territorial control of Bashar al-Assad over the territory of Syria. The alternative to this is repeated meetings with Erdogan and his minions.
The United States has repeatedly shown that it and Erdogan are not going to fight over the Kurds, so they have to turn to the Russian Federation and Assad for real protection.
The Turks today noted the shelling of the Kurds from 155mm artillery in the direction of Tal-Temer. The shelling went on for 3 hours.
The Turkish Defense Ministry announced five dead. Also, the Turks do not particularly hide the fact that they actively use drones in the hunt for SDF / YPG field commanders.
Due to the deteriorating economic situation in Turkey, a small victorious operation in Syria against the Kurds would be very beneficial for Erdogan. But in the current realities, if it is possible, then perhaps as a serious exchange of most of Idlib for an operation against the Kurds.
It is also worth noting that unidentified persons have fired on oil refineries in the American occupation zone of Deir ez-Zor today. Most likely, new missiles from Iran arrived at the Iranian proxy. The recent shelling of At-Tanf shows that Iran is ready for its proxy forces in Syria to switch to a systematic pin-prick regime on American assets in Syria in the same way as it was done in Iraq, where the shelling of American bases and attacks on American convoys became systematic.
The goal of such a strategy is to force the United States to withdraw its troops from Syria (as in Afghanistan) or at least reduce its presence (as in Iraq) through systematic pressure.

[KavkazUzel] A total of 15 unidentified individuals were dewtained following a mass brawl in the village of Nachalovo near Astrakhan, according to Russian language news reports.
Information about the massive conflict between the inhabitants of the village of Nachalovo came to the police this morning, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Astrakhan region reported.
Police squads from the Privolzhsky district department and the city administration of Astrakhan were sent to the place of the conflict.
"The police officers who arrived at the scene found that the conflict was between two groups of local residents. The parties were split up, so the conflict ended. 15 of its most active participants were detained and taken to the police department," the statement posted on the department's website says.
The police are investigating the circumstances of the incident, the publication says.
The detainees are participants in a mass brawl, its reasons have not yet been established, informs "Astrakhan 24".
The village of Nachalovo is the administrative center of the Volga region, bordering Astrakhan, follows from the data of the Yandex. Maps service. According to the 2010 census, 5451 people lived in the village, the Rosstat website informs.
The "Caucasian Knot also wrote that in August 2005, in the village of Yandyki, Limansky District, Astrakhan Region , a fight broke out between Kalmyks
...Buddhist Mongol descendants...
and Chechens,
...Muslim Caucasians...
in which up to 400 people participated.
One of the Kalmyks was killed, another one was injured. During the funeral of the deceased, a crowd of about 500 people began to burn houses and cars belonging to the Chechens and beat their owners. In total, eight houses were burned, three cars were smashed, and five people were injured.

[Rusvesna] A source in the al-Bu Salih tribe reported an armed attack on the car of 65-year-old tribal sheikh Muhammad Asaad al-Badr in the vicinity of the village of al-Rida in Deir ez-Zor province, where the United States launched a covert operation against the Russian army.
As a result of the attack, Muhammad was maimed and his brother Hamid was killed.
The attack took place after the return of Sheikh Muhammad and his brother from the village of Jazra al-Buhamid after a commemoration of the death of a member of their tribe.
Muhammad's cousin Sheikh Jassem al-Badr Abu Nasr said in a telephone interview that the attack took place after Muhammad refused to support a protest against the presence of Russian troops in eastern Syria.
Jasem also confirmed that the attackers were members of the US-controlled Kurdish armed forces of the SDF.
He noted that his cousins actively advocate for the preservation of the identity of the Arab tribes in the province of Deir ez-Zor and for the territorial integrity of Syria.
It is noteworthy that a large number of leaders of Arab tribes and clans in eastern Syria were killed by them because of their political views and beliefs, rejecting the illegal occupation of their country by American troops by their Kurdish allies.
Earlier, the Assaish Kurdish security forces, together with the US intelligence services, carried out raids in the province of Deir ez-Zor, during which more than 100 local residents and representatives of Arab tribal unions were detained on suspicion of organizing rallies in support of the government of Bashir al-Assad.

Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited. [REGNUM] Four ministers and a number of high-ranking officials from Khartoum state were arrested and the entrances to the capital were blocked by the military in Sudan. This was reported on October 25 by the Al Hadath TV channel.
It is clarified that the ministers of communications, information, finance, industry, as well as the governor of Khartoum and one of the representatives of the ruling Sovereign Council in the country were arrested. The head of the Sudanese government, Abdullah Hamduk, is under house arrest, and his house is surrounded by the military.
The mass arrests began after the meeting of the head of the country's Sovereign Council, Abdel Fattah al-Burkhan, with the head of government, Abdullah Hamduk. Al-Burhan is expected to make an official statement shortly.
Earlier IA REGNUM reported about 35 injured during mass protests in Sudan. At the same time, actions of supporters of civilian rule and supporters of the military government are taking place in the country. Clashes periodically occur between them, in which the police are forced to intervene.
The military arrested part of the civilian composition of the country's government, including Prime Minister Hamduk.
Among the detainees, officials said, were Minister of Industry Ibrahim al-Sheikh, Minister of Information, Hamza Balul, member of the ruling Sovereign Council, Mohammed al-Fiki Suliman and Faisal Mohammed Saleh, media adviser to Prime Minister Abdullah Hamduk.
Ayman Khalid, the governor of the state in which the capital Khartoum is located, was also arrested, according to his office's official Facebook page.
The army is blocking some areas in the city and the entrances to Khartoum. Key roads and bridges are being taken under control.
The leaders of the democratic opposition called on people to take to the streets and resist the next seizure of power by the military, who do not want to give up power and again disrupt the transition period with the transfer of real power to the civil administration.
The country is experiencing interruptions to the Internet, as some providers have suspended their work. There are also reports of interruptions in cellular communications in Khartoum. Adds Rozhin:
The outcome of the coup is of course interesting for the Russian Federation in light of the ongoing burdensome negotiations around the Russian naval base in Port Sudan, the creation of which the United States is trying in every possible way to prevent it by putting pressure on the government of Sudan and the military.

I mentioned yesterday at the inception of the coup that river Arab clans will never permit the democratization of Sudan. Their hatred for African Muslim tribes from Kordofan through Darfur and throughout the Red Sea province is well known. So0too is their hatred for Christiana. The military, led by these bigoted and racist Arabs, has been a curse to this nation since its founding following WWII.
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] China Evergrande Group said on Sunday it had resumed work on more than 10 projects in six cities including Shenzhen -- a statement that comes after it appeared to avert default with a last-minute bond coupon payment last week. Evergrande, deep in crisis with more than $300 billion in liabilities, has not disclosed how many of its 1,300 real estate projects across China it has had to halt work on.
The company said on Aug. 31 that some projects were suspended because of delays in payment to suppliers and contractors and it was negotiating to resume building.
On Sunday, it said in a post on its Wechat account that some of the projects it had resumed work on had entered the interior decoration stage while other buildings had recently finished construction.
Evergrande added that its efforts to guarantee construction would shore up market confidence and included several photos of construction workers on different projects, stamped with the time and date.
China’s second-largest property developer last month also promised potential buyers it will complete building of their homes and said that work on one of the world’s biggest soccer stadiums in the southern city of Guangzhou was proceeding as planned.
Last week’s move to pay $83.5 million in interest on a US dollar bond has bought Evergrande another week to wrestle with a debt crisis looming over the world’s second-biggest economy.
Highlighting the stresses on its core business, Evergrande also announced on Friday plans to give future priority to its electric vehicles business over real estate.
Evergrande’s woes have reverberated across the $5 trillion Chinese property sector, which accounts for a quarter of the economy by some metrics, with a string of default announcements, rating downgrades and slumping corporate bonds.
Its debt crisis is also being widely watched by global financial markets concerned about broader contagion.
Socialist writer & antifa supporter Steven Monacelli is being sued by a Texas newspaper for defamation. He was also terminated from a contributing position with @Dallas_Observer after writing a fake news piece. Read my exposé co-written w/@KatieDaviscourt: https://t.co/4F3T7hjHXQ
Steven Monacelli, a left-wing writer who has contributed to the Daily Beast and other publications, was served a defamation lawsuit last week by the Dallas Express newspaper and its publisher. The Antifa ...the armed wing of the Democratic Party... supporter and self-identified socialist was also recently fired as a contributor at the Dallas Observer for writing a fake news report. Now a woman has come forward to accuse him of creepy behavior.
In February, Monacelli authored a report about The Dallas Express’ publisher Montgomery Bennett in the Dallas Weekly that accused the publication of being a "right-wing propaganda site," a "fake news site" and linked to an operation that runs fake news sites across the U.S. The lawsuit, filed in Henderson County, Texas by Bennett and his paper on Oct. 13, accuses Monacelli and the Dallas Weekly of printing libel.
"The Dallas Weekly published the false statements with actual malice because it made such statements with reckless disregard for whether they were false and specifically intended to substantially injure or harm plaintiffs," alleges the lawsuit.
Monacelli, 30, of Dallas, took to Twitter last Wednesday to announce he was served the lawsuit. He also reposted the alleged defamatory article. He asked his followers for recommendations for pro-bono legal assistance.
Despite accusing the Dallas Express of being a "fake news site," Monacelli was fired in the summer from the Dallas Observer as a freelance contributor after writing a report that falsely suggested a pro-law enforcement group, Keep Dallas Safe, was involved in an elaborate hoax to malign the left.
In July, a social justice group named Dallas Justice Now distributed flyers around the wealthy Dallas Highland Park neighborhood asking residents to keep their white children from applying to Ivy League Schools in order to make room for non-whites. Monacelli suggested Keep Dallas Safe had secretly orchestrated the hoax through a PR group.
Two days after publication, the Dallas Observer was forced to retract central parts of Monacelli’s report and issue a large correction.
The correction states: "Keep Dallas Safe, an organization mentioned in the original version of this story, has provided documentation proving that it has no relationship to Dallas Justice Now; its ties to Arena began in June 2021 and were limited to assistance with website design with no connection to Dallas Justice Now. This article has also been edited to remove a reference to and characterization of the Dallas Express."
Daniel Taylor, the president and founder of Keep Dallas Safe, says he’s not surprised Monacelli is being sued for defamation after his experience with the writer. "He runs stories without having all the information. He’s always trying to play a gotcha game but the gotcha game finally got him."
Taylor’s wife, Amy Gibson, says Monacelli’s unprofessionalism is reflected in his real life interactions as well.
Gibson says she met him by coincidence at a social gathering on Oct. 7 at Lakewood Landing, a bar and grill in Dallas. She says he told her his girlfriend was on painkillers at home because of a burst ovarian cyst. Then unprompted, Gibson says Monacelli bragged to her he caused the girlfriend’s cyst to burst during sex because his penis is so large.
"It offended me as a woman...it made me feel gross," Gibson says. "It was also disrespectful to his partner who was at home in pain."
On Twitter, Monacelli appears to confirm that the sexually inappropriate statement to Gibson took place and faulted her for speaking with this publication. "I told some people that my girlfriend had a ovarian cyst burst after intercourse at a local meetup. Usually it's attended by kind people who wouldn't ever talk to Andy Ngo. But that evening, the people behind @KeepDallasSafe were in attendance," he tweeted along with a photo of a message to Gibson.
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Indian paramilitaries rubbed out a civilian in Kashmir ...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there.... on Sunday, residents said, as authorities tightened security across the disputed territory for a visit by a top Indian minister. The victim, a milk seller in the southern Kashmir Valley, is the 12th civilian killed by gunnies or security forces this month as attacks increase in the Moslem-majority region.
New Delhi has about 500,000 troops and paramilitaries in Kashmir seeking to contain a rebel movement agitating for independence or the region’s merger with Pakistain.
Police said the man was hit in "crossfire" during "militant action" near a police paramilitary camp in the village of Zainapora and that the incident was being investigated.
Villagers told AFP the man had been fatally shot without provocation.
Amit Shah, India’s home minister and effective deputy to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has been in Kashmir since Saturday, adding to security concerns.
It is Shah’s first trip to the Himalayan region -- also claimed by Pakistain -- since New Delhi cancelled Kashmir’s semi-autonomy in August 2019 and placed it under direct rule.
His visit follows a series of assassinations by krazed killers, with minority Hindus and Sikhs as well as migrant workers from elsewhere in India the main targets.
Sandbag bunkers have been erected across Kashmir’s main city of Srinagar and snipers positioned on rooftops around the building where Shah is staying.
Police have in recent days impounded hundreds of cycle of violences in the city and intensified checks on pedestrians including women and kiddies.
Motorbikes have been used for drive-by killings.

[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Israel plans to build more residences for Jewish settlers in the occupied West Bank, a government ministry said on Sunday, adding to those announced in August by the new ruling coalition."Tenders for 1,355 homes in Judea and Samaria have been published," a construction ministry statement said, referencing the biblical names used widely in Israel for the West Bank.
The new accommodation adds to the more than 2,000 residences which defense sources said in August would be authorised for settlers in the West Bank.
Final approval is expected from the defense ministry this week for those homes.
About 475,000 Israeli Jews live in settlements in the West Bank, which are considered illegal under international law, on land Paleostinians claim as part of their future state.
Israel has occupied the West Bank since the Six-Day War of 1967 and exercises full administrative control across much of the territory, where more than two million Paleostinians live.
Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, the former head of a settler lobby group, opposes Paleostinian statehood and has ruled out formal peace talks with the Paleostinian Authority during his tenure, saying he prefers to focus on economic improvements.
The tenders come after Israel last week gave approval for 4,000 Paleostinians to register as residents of the West Bank, the first such move in the Israeli-occupied territory in 12 years.
The new Jewish homes are to be built in seven settlements, according to the ministry statement.
Israeli colonization of the West Bank and annexed East Jerusalem has continued under every Israeli government since 1967.
Construction accelerated, however, in the last few years under former Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Since mid-June his successor Bennett has led a coalition of parties, ranging from the far right to leftist.

[Rudaw] A Kurdish migrant told Rudaw on Sunday that he was detained and put on trial on charges of "religious extremism" in Latvia and seeks deportation to the Kurdistan Region.
Rebwar Sleman from Ranya district’s Kani Maran village said in an interview with Rudaw Radio that Latvian authorities have accused him of Islamic extremism.
"They alleged all sorts of things," he said. "They said you’re a religious bad boy ... you can’t go out, you can’t be mixed with anyone from Latvia, you have to be constantly under Latvia’s security observation."
Sleman boarded a plane from Baghdad to Belarus in June, but says he has been detained "in a camp that is like a prison" in Latvia for four months.
"They put me on trial and said...we might keep you here for a year under Latvia’s security," he said.
Thousands of migrants colonists, mostly from the Middle East, have tried to cross into the European Union ...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing... from Belarus in recent months. The European Union has accused Belarus of pushing migrants colonists to their borders in protest of sanctions imposed in response to a crackdown on dissent by the regime in Minsk. Belarus’ neighbors have responded by bolstering security on their borders.
Polish authorities in September said they found evidence of ties to bad boy groups on the phones of some migrants colonists detained along its border with Belarus and plans to extend a state of emergency.
Sleman, who said he was living a "miserable" life working as a construction worker in his hometown, calls to be sent back home.
"Our demand is that they deport us," he said. "We don’t want anything else."
Demand? That’s bold, considering your situation, Mr.Sleman. Perhaps you should consider respectfully requesting instead.
[NYPOST] A 29-year-old man accused of trying to strangle an 11-year-old girl in a Manhattan park was arraigned and released on $7,500 bail on Saturday night.Nathaniel Direnzo, of Saint Marks Place, was arrested on Saturday morning for a bizarre, broad-daylight attack on the maiden of tender years and another minor on Wednesday afternoon.
On Saturday evening, he appeared for his initial hearing with his father, donning a gray suit.
He was charged with second-degree strangulation, two counts of acting in a manner injurious to a child, second-degree harassment and two counts of assault.
According to police, just around noon on Oct. 20, Direnzo approached the girl and her classmates at Stuyvesant Square with her classmates and began to yell at them, before spraying water on the group and trying to attack them, cops said.
When the maiden of tender years tried to fight back, cops say Direnzo grabbed her by the hair and punched her in the face. He then allegedly "wrapped his hands around the girl’s neck," trying to strangle her, police said.

So did some digging and watch various limited slices of the video.
It seems some of the stated narrative is ass-backwards.
Upfront YES.. he ain't no angle.
But the video also shows that seriously overweight ?11? y/o goes at him full KAREN.
Question: What was this group doing for him and others so ticked off?
Answer: Video from the cell phone had captured the start of the incident where the 3 dog walkers were yelling at the children who continued to throw dirt and firecracker "poppers" (noise makers the explode when thrown on hard surfaces.) at the dogs and their owners.
Where is PETA/ASPCA on this? Given the School kids being escorted by a school counselor no less attacked animals?

My Korean visa expired while I was in country.
I went to the visa offices in Seoul for a renewal.
They told me I had to go to the US Embassy in Seoul to file the visa paperwork. Same day, on my way to the US Embassy, I was arrested for having an expired visa. Money changed hands about 5 times. I got a new visa, same day, about $500.
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Israel’s deputy foreign minister said on Sunday that the Biden administration, the same old faces in slightly different places, the same old ideas, the same old graft ...the pack of self-imagined masterminds of strategy and intrigue at the service of the Biden Crime Family and a grateful nation... may shelve its plan to reopen a US diplomatic mission for Paleostinians in Jerusalem after Israel voiced opposition to such a move. The Jerusalem consulate was subsumed into the US Embassy that was moved to the contested city from Tel Aviv in 2018 by the administration of former President Donald Trump ...Perhaps no man has ever had as much fun being president of the US... -- a reversal of US policy hailed by Israel and condemned by Paleostinians.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken this month reiterated Washington’s plan to reopen the consulate as part of efforts to repair Paleostinian ties. He did not give timelines.
"I believe that I have good reason to think this will not happen," Deputy Foreign Minister Idan Roll told Israel’s Ynet TV.
"The Americans understand the political complexity," Roll said. "We have very good relations ... We don’t believe in surprising them. I don’t think they will try to surprise us."
US Embassy spokespeople could not immediately be reached for comment
Israel deems all Jerusalem its undivided capital and says it would not consent to reopening the consulate. The Paleostinians want the city’s east for their own future, hoped-for state.
Reopening the consulate could weaken nationalist Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and undermine his fragile cross-partisan government, Israeli officials have argued.

A good idea. There’s mathematics to be found in clothing design (3-dimension irregular topography), art, chemistry, and lab skills in cosmetology, and other intellectual skills in the various trades.
[ToloNews] Dozens of female high school and university students have joined vocational centers to learn tailoring and cosmetology as the women and girls have been banned from school and university since the Taliban ...Arabic for students... takeover.
According to these girls, sitting at home is very difficult for them, therefore they are willing to learn a profession.
"It has been a couple of months that we are at home since schools and universities closed. We have to learn a profession or a job, because we can’t sit like this at home," said Samira Sharifi, a student.
"I want to learn a profession for my future to help my family, we want our schools to be opened so that we can carry on with our education," said Mahnaz Ghulami, a student.
Most of the trainees in the vocational centers are the students of high schools and universities.
After the closure of high schools and universities across Afghanistan, Herat ...a venerable old Persian-speaking city in western Afghanistan, populated mostly by Tadjiks, which is why it's not as blood-soaked as areas controlled by Pashtuns... female students have started gaining vocational training in the province.
"We have decided to learn tailoring along with our education," said Shaqaiq Ganji, and student.
"It’s necessary for every woman to learn tailoring to help her family and her husband, especially in this bad economic situation," said Laili Sofizada, a teacher.
Due to the closure of schools and universities, the number of students in vocational centers doubled compared to recent years.
"Our classes had the capacity of 20 to 25 students but we increased it to 45 students, because most of the students have lost their spirit, and their schools and universities have closed," said Fatima Tokhi, director of technical and professional affairs at the Herat department of labor and social affairs.
The Labor and Social Affairs department of Herat said the department is working to provide more opportunities for Herat girls and women to learn vocational training.
"The art and professional sector and the kindergarten departments have started their activities, we support them and supervise their activities," said Mulla Mohammad Sabit, head of the labor and social affairs of Herat.
During the past two months, most of the women and girls who worked in state and private institutions lost their jobs and are trying to learn handicrafts and vocational training.

[REGNUM] At least 17 people, including women and children, were killed as a result of shootings between units of the radical Taliban movement and an armed group
ISIS? Local rebels who don’t know the meaning of surrender? Bandits?
in the city of Herat in northwestern Afghanistan. This was reported on October 24 by the local newspaper Ettelaat.
According to preliminary data, armed clashes began in the afternoon of October 24 in the streets of Herat. Among the dead were seven children and three women, and many civilians were injured of varying severity. It is noted that these are the first armed clashes in the city since it came under the control of the Taliban.
Afghan Interior Ministry spokesman Said Khosti, appointed by the government of the Taliban, said on Twitter that the shooting in the streets of Herat was provoked by representatives of armed groups specializing in kidnapping. According to Hosti, three criminals were eliminated.
Earlier IA REGNUM reported about an armed attack in the east of Afghanistan, which resulted in the deaths of two Taliban militants.

[GEO.TV] JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman ...Deobandi holy man, known as Mullah Diesel during the war against the Soviets, his sympathies for the Taliban have never been tempered by honesty... has said that the government which "gave birth to rigging" in the elections has "no right and reason" to hold local government elections in the country, Geo News reported on Sunday.
The Pakistain Democratic Movement (PDM) president said that the alliance wants free and fair elections at the earliest.
"Saving the nation and country from this government is tantamount to sympathy towards the nation and is the need of the hour," said Fazl.
He claimed that people are turning up in huge numbers to the PDM-led anti-inflation protests being held across the country.
"The incumbent government is illegal, incompetent, and cruel, and it has been imposed on the nation," he added.

[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Scientists in the US used a camera connected to a brain implant to help a blind person see again, NPR reported.
The former teacher who had been blind for 16 years had the device implanted in her brain with no disruptions to brain activity or other health complications, according to a study published in The Journal of Clinical Investigation.
Researchers from both Spain and the US advanced what they call "a long-held dream of scientists" to give a basic form of sight to blind people by sending information directly to the brain’s visual cortex.
"These results are very exciting because they demonstrate both safety and efficacy," said Eduardo Fernández of Miguel Hernández University in a statement.
"We have taken a significant step forward, showing the potential of these types of devices to restore functional vision for people who have lost their vision."
After a training period, the test subject was able to decipher basic visual information fed from a camera on a pair of glasses directly to her brain.
The effect of the device was somewhat limited; the test subject could not identify all the letters of the alphabet.
Her brain implant was inserted through a "minicraniotomy" in which researchers made a 1.5 inch hole in the subject’s skull.
A clinical trial related to the study is scheduled to continue through May of 2024.

[Rusvesna] A video appeared on the Web showing Syrian soldiers blocking the path of an American military convoy on a section of the M4 highway according to "Russian Spring" from the Syrian Arab Republic.
The published footage shows how, after a short dialogue, the American servicemen were forced to redeploy the convoy and leave.
The Syrian government army stopped the American occupants in the area of the Al-Qaziya checkpoint in the south-west of Qamishli (Al-Haseke province). The convoy of the American forces consisted of five MRAP armored vehicles and was moving in the direction of Qamishli. Syrian soldiers prevented the US convoy from passing the checkpoint, forcing them to retreat to the positions of the Kurdish armed formations.
We will remind that earlier the US special envoy for Syria James Jeffrey said that the United States is not going to withdraw its troops from Syria in the near future, justifying its military presence by the fight against terrorism in the region.
This is a considerable break from the pattern for Boris Rozhin, the author. Russian federal law requires a notice with every mention of a banned group such as ISIS, that said group is banned in the Russian Federation. Uzbekistan is not in the Russian Federation (Uzbekistan is part of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and the CTSO defense pact.) and is thus exempt from Russian federal law.
As he mentions in the article, the film was made with the "active support of Uzbek state security.” Continued on Page 49

[Rudaw] Seven Syrian families from Deir ez-Zor were released from al-Hol camp in northeastern Syria (Rojava) on Wednesday to return to their places of origin following an agreement between the Kurdish administration and tribal chiefs. The group totaled 27 people, including 13 children.
A previous announcement said eleven were released, for what it’s worth.
According to Munir Mohammad, an official overseeing the release of camp residents, 62 more families were expected to return to Deir ez-Zor on Wednesday, but the process stopped after tensions grew between camp security forces and the families. This is the 19th time that residents of Syrian and Iraqi nationality have been allowed to leave the camp.al-Hol camp
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] OPEC will not change its strategy, and it does not have to solve a problem that it did not create, Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman told Asharq Channel in a TV interview.
The Saudi minister stressed that there must be a regulator for the markets adding that everyone should be aware of what OPEC has done to achieve this regulation.
The Saudi Minister of Energy considered that the shortage in the market in gas supplies is a result of policies that were previously taken, including lowering the production of electricity from gas.
“Accordingly, investments declined, causing a shortage in gas markets today,” the minister added.
Prince Abdulaziz said during the interview that Saudi Arabia’s goal of zero carbon emissions can be achieved before 2060.
“This goal will not have an adverse financial or economic impact in the Kingdom. Saudi Arabia seeks to be a source of confidence for all forms of energy. We have capabilities to produce and integrate new forms of energy into Saudi Arabia’s economy and exports,” the minister added.
Prince Abdulaziz added that investing in clean energy does not mean stopping investment in oil.
“The goal is to reduce emissions, not cutting to use oil,” the Saudi minister added.
“There is no contradiction between investing in energy and caring for the climate. The world cannot live on a single source of energy, or even on a few sources, but the world needs all the energy sources available,” the minister added.
Prince Abdulaziz added that there are three things the world must not compromise on; “energy security, economic growth, and sustainable prosperity, and confronting climate change.”

Sounds like an Arabian version of “Let’s go , Brandon.”
[GEO.TV] Bhubaneswar, Odisha: A 17-year-old man in India's Odisha has been arrested by police after he sold off his young wife to a 55-year-old man to buy a cellular phone.
According to a report by The Hindustan Times, the teenager, who got married in July this year, found a job in Rajasthan to work in a brick kiln factory where he met the 55-year-old man.Police have rescued the wife, 26, from the south-eastern Rajasthan district of Baran after facing "great difficulty" because the villagers resisted handing over the woman to the police, saying that they had paid for her.
Per the police, the man took his wife to Rajasthan with him in August when he started the job but only a few days later, he decided to sell her to the 55-year-old man for ₹1.8 lakh (PKR4.18).
After obtaining the money, the man splurged money on dining and then bought himself a smartphone. Later on, he returned to his village and when the woman's family asked about her, he lied that she had eloped.
Police said that the woman's family did not buy his story and decided to lodge a complaint with the police. Upon further investigation, it turned out that that the boy had sold his wife off.
The report says that since the boy was under 18 years of age, he was sent to a juvenile court. The court ordered the man to be taken to a correctional facility.
What about the villagers who’d clubbed together to make the purchase?

Why do so many well educated western elites cling to the notion of "universal values," e.g. a universal attachment to notions of individual dignity or human rights? Where did we get this absurd notion of a single global culture?
Aside from the purely physical -- like an attachment to comfort, or cell phones -- we have nothing in common with the savage primitives described in this article. The most backward rustic in America or Europe will react with fury to the idea that a young husband can sell his wife for a mobile phone.
We need to kill this idea that we have anything at all significant in common with the Global South.
We owe them nothing, and we are best advised to have as little to do with them as possible.

Bob Mitchum was a wag, a quipmeister, today he'd be called a Sh*tlord. My favorite of his jibes: After spending a weekend in jail on a marijuana charge, one of the reporters waiting outside upon his release asked "So, how was jail, Bob?" Mitchum replied "It was swell. Like Palm Springs without the riff-raff."

[ToloNews] The former US special representative for Afghanistan reconciliation Zalmay Khalilzad said the US was losing the war to the Taliban ...mindless ferocity in a turban... so it chose peace negotiationsdeal as an alternative.
Talking to CBS News, Khalilzad said the US military tried many times to strengthen its position on the battleground, but it failed. "The negotiation was a result of--based on the judgment that we weren’t winning the war and therefore time was not on our side and better to make a deal sooner than later."
Khalilzad blamed the then-president Ashraf Ghani ...former chancellor of Kabul University, ex-president of Afghanistan. Before returning to Afghanistan in 2002 he was a scholar of political science and anthropology. He worked at the World Bank working on international development assistance. As Finance Minister of Afghanistan between July 2002 and December 2004, he led Afghanistan's attempted economic recovery until the Karzais stole all the money. When Biden abandoned the country left with a helicopter, four cars, and part of the national treasury... for the disintegration of Afghanistan’s security sector, saying his escape triggered the chaos in the Afghan capital.
That seems an incomplete way of looking at it...
He said the Taliban was in discussions with him about forming a power-sharing government and including some officials of the Ghani administration in the next government. All these things did not happen because Ghani did not stay, he said.
Khalilzad said Ghani did not want to let go of power, and discredited Ghani's remarks about fleeing Kabul to avoid bloodshed, saying they were not true. "So, the question is, why did President Ghani do what he did? If he was willing to step aside for the sake of peace, imagine if he had offered that a year ago, six months ago -- that somebody that's mutually acceptable could have led the government. But he did not," he said.
There was nobody mutual, since the Taliban would accept no one not their own. They were in it for the reconquest.
According to Khalilzad, the US has largely succeeded in suppressing Al Qaeda- the reason it went to Afghanistan--but has failed in building a democratic Afghanistan.
No, the Afghans failed to build democracy despite two decades of aid and support. Horses and water, donchaknow.
He said the two decades of US involvement has transformed Afghanistan and now "the Taliban are going to have a hard time putting them back in the box the way they had put people in the 1990s."
Hopefully true. Possibly wishful thinking.
Khalilzad said the US wanted a different outcome for the Afghan peace talks, preferably a power-sharing government with the Taliban instead of what happened on August 15.
That was definitely wishful thinking.
Khalilzad said the Taliban has lived up to its promise of cutting ties with terrorist groups
...for a given value of cutting that means binding more firmly...
and not allowing Afghanistan to be used for staging attacks against the US and its allies. "They are not allowing plotting and planning operations by al-Qaeda against the United States," he said.
But what happens despite their forbidding is clearly not their responsibility, or even interest, right? Nor anything at all by anyone not Al Qaeda, since not-Al Qaeda isn’t being forbidden anything...
According to Khalilzad, if the Islamic Emirate does not form an inclusive government and does not respect the rights of Afghans, the relationship between Afghanistan and the US will not become normal.
A terrifying threat for a Dark Ages culture, to be sure.
Khalilzad also warned of a possible civil war if the Afghan economy collapses. He said if the "Taliban don't move toward more inclusiveness, respecting the rights of the Afghan people, and then honoring their commitment to us on terrorism; there will be no move towards normality and there shouldn't be. There should be no release of funds. So their economy could collapse and in that collapse a new civil war could start."
What was their reconquest if not a civil war for the last decade or so?
Khalilzad said Afghanistan has many problems, and the US should help it come to an agreement on a formula that is acceptable by urban and rural Afghans, and by secular and religious Afghans, to end troubles in the country.
‘Taint no sech thing, Buddy Boy. And so the troubles will not end.

There was nobody mutual, since the Taliban would accept no one not their own. They were in it for the reconquest.
TW,
Absolutely true, ma'am. But on the other hand, one can make an argument that the Talib might have outsmarted themselves: since the economy there was utterly and completely dependent on US dollars to function, they are looking at a level of financial crash so apocalyptic that even the Talib are stunned, with no guarantee that the rest of the world will make up for that in anything like the numbers needed. But - they had the military advantage, and they used it.
You have to wonder though if there isn't some turban in Kabul right now who's wondering what would have happened if they had stopped outside of Kabul and the major cities, and then launched a peace offensive - "Hey, we're the new, improved Taliban; we're nice guys and we've seen the light, We don't want to tear the place up, come on and talk to us, and bring your media. Let's talk about a peaceful transfer of power, say in ninety days or so."
If they had done something even close to that, would the Biden Administration have sent the troops back in? Maybe, but there would have been a lot of screaming about it, and all it would have taken to derail it would have been a couple of suicide bombers. And once it was all over, with speeches and handshakes at the airport, and the Talib reverted to their true stripes, would we have done anything? Damned unlikely.

As long as you allow your enemy a base of operations free from interdiction or destruction there is no way to 'win'.
#15
The deal-points here are (1) the Talibs as Mike K points out are now desperate for US cash and (2) the Biden regime needs the Talibs to be nice guys after all, because that makes the Kabul Katastrophe look somewhat better in advance of the mid-terms. So, a couple of months of no-beheadings and the cash flow resumes. (And Khalilzad will generously offer to administer the cash distributions.) The memorandum of understanding has probably already been drafted.

They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The legitimate Yemeni government has accused the them of having ties to the Iranian government. Honest they did. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews They like shooting off... ummm... missiles that they would have us believe they make at home in their basements. On the plus side, they did murder Ali Abdullah Saleh, which was the only way the country was ever going to be rid of him... fighters were killed in Yemen in the past three days near the strategic city of Marib.
"Thirty-six military vehicles were destroyed and more than 264" Houthi fighters were killed in strikes in the past 72 hours in al-Jawba, some 50 kilometers (30 miles) south of Marib, and al-Kassara, 30 kilometers to the northwest, the coalition said, quoted by the Saudi Press Agency.
The Iran-backed Houthis rarely comment on losses, and AFP could not independently verify the toll.
The coalition has for the past two weeks reported almost daily strikes around Marib, the internationally recognized government’s last bastion in oil-rich northern Yemen.
It say hundreds of Houthis have been killed in the fighting.
The Houthis began a major push to seize Marib in February, and have renewed their offensive since September after a lull.
The Yemeni civil war began in 2014 when the Houthis seized the capital Sanaa, 120 kilometers west of Marib, prompting coalition forces to intervene to prop up the government the following year.
Tens of thousands of people have died and millions have been displaced, in what the United Nations ...an organization originally established to war on dictatorships which was promptly infiltrated by dictatorships and is now held in thrall to dictatorships... has called the world’s worst humanitarian crisis.
"If the enemy thought that their warplanes could limit the progress of our forces or break the determination of our soldiers they are mistaken," Huthi front man Yahya Saree said on the rebel's al-Masirah TV channel.
He claimed that during an operation the rebels had killed 550 pro-government fighters, maimed 1,200, and taken 90 prisoners, without specifying a time frame.
AFP could not independently verify the figures given by the rebels.
The coalition has for the past two weeks reported almost daily air strikes around Marib.
[IsraelTimes] Police said to be investigating if Pak natives were working to surveil sites as potential targets for a terrorist attack.
Two Pak citizens were arrested in Cyprus on suspicion of planning to attack Israeli targets, Cypriot media reported over the weekend.
According to a report in the Politis news site, a 25-year-old and a 32-year-old — both Pak natives living in Cyprus — were arrested on Friday in Limassol on suspicion of involvement in a recent plot to target Israelis in the island nation.
The pair were brought to court on Saturday for a remand hearing, and were ordered to remain in jug for at least eight days, the report said.
The report said that clothes with the logos of a food distribution company were found in the two men’s apartments, and police were working to determine whether they actually worked for the company or if they had used the uniforms to conduct covert surveillance.
Police reportedly believe that the two arrested men were working in consultation with the Azerbaijani national who was arrested in late September for planning to attack Israelis. Officials said that the two men had photos of potential targets on their phones, and were allegedly involved in surveillance of certain sites.
In early October, news broke of an arrest in Cyprus of the Azerbaijani man on suspicion of planning an attack against Israelis. While the Israeli government said the attack was linked to "Iranian terror," Cypriot officials have rejected the idea of Tehran’s involvement.
A second suspect, also a Pak native, was arrested earlier this month.
According to the Politis report, the remand of the first suspect was extended again on Friday for an additional eight days. Investigators reportedly told the court that the suspect had hidden a Glock pistol, a mobile phone, a magazine, two full cartridges, and a USB flash drive in the hotel room he was occupying.
The alleged hired killer of Azerbaijani origin, who arrived in Cyprus on a flight from Russia using a Russian passport, had originally not been cooperating with police Sherlocks. But he later showed them two places in Ayia Napa where he had rented cars, a report on the Philenews site said.
Landing in Larnaca on the Cypriot southern side of the island, the suspect was said to have made his way to the city of Paralimni, near the northern, Ottoman Turkish-controlled part of the island, where he rented a room and two vehicles. He reportedly crossed the Ottoman Turkish-Cypriot border back and forth a number of times on a bike.
In Larnaca, the assassin reportedly staked out an office complex known to be the workplace of multiple Israelis. A report on Israel’s Channel 12 news said he was caught on security cameras snooping around the neighborhood, evidence that was eventually used to apprehend him.
Reports have indicated that the plot was directed at Israeli businessman Teddy Sagi, though Israeli authorities — and Sagi himself — have denied that he was targeted specifically.
[NYPOST] Rep. Alexandria Sandy Ocasio-Cortez Dem Congressgirl from da Bronx in Noo Yawk and leader of the Mean Girl Caucus in Congress. One of the Great Minds of the 21st Century, she is known as much for her innaleck as for her dance moves. She is all in favor of socialism, even though she's fuzzy on the details. She was the inventor of the Green New Deal, though she doesn't talk about it much anymore... on Saturday ripped moderate Democratic leaders who refuse to back far left-leaning party candidates for elected office, insisting they’re ignoring a significant threat of fascism ...a political system developed in Italy, symbolized by the Roman fasces -- thin reeds, each flimsy in itself but unbreakable when bound into a bundle. Its distinguishing philosophical feature is the Corporate State, which is the alliance of big business and labor with the government in service to the all-powerful State. The word is nowadays thrown around by all sorts of oddballs who have no idea what they're talking about... During a rally in Buffalo, the Queens congresswoman and socialist superstar said such behavior is "embarrassing."
"When a nominee wins, I don’t try to undermine the entire political party," Ocasio-Cortez said. "You know why? Because in the grander scheme of things we are facing a very real fascist ...anybody you disagree with, damn them... threat in this country."
The congresswoman was in town to back the mayoral bid of fellow socialist India Walton, who won the Democratic primary but is competing on Election Day against four-term incumbent Byron Brown, who is running as a write-in.
AOC came to Walton’s defense Tuesday after state Democratic Party Chairman Jay Jacobs argued he shouldn’t have to extend his support to Democratic candidates in every case and then made a controversial comparison between Walton and David Duke, the former Ku Klux Klan leader.

[DAWN] THE chaos is closing in on the government and its perpetual mismanagement inspires little confidence. On Friday, all the major opposition parties in the country erupted into the streets to protest against the government. The PDM alliance, led by the PML-N and JUI-F, held rallies in Bloody Karachi ...formerly the capital of Pakistain, now merely its most important port and financial center. It is among the largest cities in the world, with a population of 18 million, most of whom hate each other and many of whom are armed and dangerous... and Lahore with other demonstrations in parts of KP where politicians hit out at the government. The PPP had a show in Karachi and the Jamaat-e-Islami ...The Islamic Society, founded in 1941 in Lahore by Maulana Sayyid Abul Ala Maududi, aka The Great Apostosizer. The Jamaat opposed the independence of Bangladesh but has operated an independent branch there since 1975. It maintains close ties with international Mohammedan groups such as the Moslem Brotherhood. the Taliban, and al-Qaeda. The Jamaat's objectives are the establishment of a pure Islamic state, governed by Sharia law. It is distinguished by its xenophobia, and its opposition to Westernization, capitalism, socialism, secularism, and liberalist social mores... staged protests in Dir, Battagram and Mohmand.
As these parties and their thousands of supporters call out the government for rising inflation and unemployment, the matter of the yet to be signed summary of the spy chief’s appointment looms large. Meanwhile, ...back at the alley, Slats grabbed for his rosco... in Washington, talks with the IMF appear to have failed, giving rise to further uncertainty. As if the government did not have enough fires to fight, Lahore and Islamabad are on tenterhooks as a result of a mass protest by the TLP — at present the most potent threat of them all.
The TLP’s ability to paralyse cities and bring life to a grinding halt is well known. It is also well known that the group has been indulged, emboldened and then struck down by various powers. While this makes for a multifaceted problem, the government’s mishandling of the TLP has been a constant source of concern. The party chief Saad Rizvi was arrested in April for disrupting public order and though he was initially detained for three months, he was again detained in July under the Anti-Terrorist Act.
The Lahore High Court had set aside his detention and a federal review board is scheduled to take up the government’s reference against him. It is clear that the government is prolonging his case, as there is no consistency in the reasons behind his detention. If the charges against Rizvi are legitimate, then the matter should be dealt with accordingly. If there is a terror charge, the government must demonstrate that to the court. By keeping his case hanging, authorities are only making the party chief and the TLP more popular in the eyes of supporters.
The state only has itself to blame for its convoluted and opaque dealings with the TLP. Though the TLP has time and again demonstrated that it can be disruptive and damaging, and has a clear Death Eater ideology, it has not yet been found by the authorities to squarely fall into the category of a terrorist organization like the TTP. For this reason, a ban is unjustified, especially as the TLP is still registered with the Election Commission as a political party — which in itself is an official discrepancy. Banning a political party because it can create a public nuisance sets a dangerous precedent which can be repeated to justify future bans. The government must work on a strategy that respects the right to protest while maintaining public order.

Congress has been treating Fauxi, NIH, CDC and the rest of the criminals in the cast with kid gloves. They wouldn't be bothering to toss him softballs at hearings at all, but for the eternal need to appear to be "doing something." Imagine if there had been actual oversight all along, going back years before the tie ups with EcoHealth and Wuhan had even started. But that would be congress "doing its job." Can't have that...

How bout all health organization bureaucrats in the US must swear to have nothing to do with biologically suspect research? How bout a hard law forbidding the use of cutouts like EcoHealth to conduit US taxpayer dollars to foreign labs, regardless of what they are doing?

1) What Fauci did is treason that's killed something like 5 million people both at home and abroad.
2) PETA kills animals themselves, they only pretend to be pro-animal-rights in order to pretend to be more holy than everyone else while they're gassing puppies and kittens to death.
(I think the word is 'sanctimonious')
3) Ditching Fauci for torturing to death a couple of beagles would really send a message to all the relatives of the humans he killed, eh?

Agreed. Then there are those who were probably needing something so clear as cover to stop playing along, and also those unsure who now must decide whether to continue on the side of The Dog Crisperer.
Masks, distancing, healthy diet, vitamin supplements, all very abstract compared to near dead cute puppies covered in flies with a white coat taking notes.
Puppy Killer rolls off the tongue pretty well for those Karen Encounters of the First Kind.

[ZeroHedge] The Illinois Supreme Court ruled on Oct. 21 that two taxes on guns and ammunition in Cook County violate the state’s constitution because they affect law-abiding citizens’ Second Amendment right to acquire firearms for self-defense.
Supreme Court Justice Mary Jane Theis wrote in a 6–0 decision that the taxes violate the constitution’s uniformity clause, while also pointing out that the revenue from the generated tax isn’t directed toward funds or programs that reduce gun violence.
“While the taxes do not directly burden a law-abiding citizen’s right to use a firearm for self-defense, they do directly burden a law-abiding citizen’s right to acquire a firearm and the necessary ammunition for self-defense,” Theis wrote in a 14-page opinion (pdf) filed on Thursday.
“Under the plain language of the ordinances, the revenue generated from the firearm tax is not directed to any fund or program specifically related to curbing the cost of gun violence,” she noted. “Additionally, nothing in the ordinance indicates that the proceeds generated from the ammunition tax must be specifically directed to initiatives aimed at reducing gun violence.”
The justice concluded that the case will be remanded to the circuit court “for entry of summary judgment in favor of plaintiffs.”
In 2012, the Cook County Board of Commissioners approved a $25 tax on the retail purchase of a firearm within the county. The county’s Firearm Tax Ordinance was enacted in April 2013.
A separate county tax was enacted in 2015, which added $0.05 per cartridge for centerfire ammunition and $0.01 per cartridge for rimfire ammunition. Americans who fail to pay those taxes are subject to a $1,000 fine for the first offense and a $2,000 fine for subsequent offenses.
The trade group and gun-rights organization, Guns Save Life, challenged both taxes in a lawsuit against the county, saying they violate the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding citizens.
A spokesman for Cook County President Toni Preckwinkle said on Thursday they are disappointed in the ruling and will work to determine the next steps.

....Don't be too encouraged. The Illinois Supremes left them a way out that even a Chicago pol can follow:
“Under the plain language of the ordinances, the revenue generated from the firearm tax is not directed to any fund or program specifically related to curbing the cost of gun violence,” she noted. “Additionally, nothing in the ordinance indicates that the proceeds generated from the ammunition tax must be specifically directed to initiatives aimed at reducing gun violence.”
It would take even a rookie Chicago alderman about five minutes to set up an utterly useless level of bureaucracy to cover the letter of the ruling. Not that a single dime of that money would ever reach anything resembling a worthy cause.

[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Æthiopia conducted two air strikes in Tigray on Sunday as the government intensifies a nearly week-old campaign of aerial bombardment against the rebellious forces who control most of the region. One strike hit the western Tigray area of Mai Tsebri, targeting a training site of the Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF), government spokesperson Legesse Tulu said. The other hit the northern Tigray town of Adwa, targeting a military manufacturing facility controlled by the TPLF, the government said in a statement.
"I can confirm there was a successful air strike in Mai Tsebri targeting training site of illegal recruits of the TPLF and a depot of heavy artillery," Legesse said.
It was not immediately possible to verify the claim as communications are down throughout most of war-hit Tigray.
TPLF spokesperson Getachew Reda told Rooters he had verified with colleagues that an air strike hit near a local hospital in Mai Tsebri.
Getachew said there were no casualties to his knowledge. He said he had no information about the strike on Adwa. "The government makes it sound as though all of the Tigray region is a training center. It doesn’t make any sense, we don’t have all these training centers."
"Today in Adwa, a center that the terrorist group TPLF was using to manufacture military equipment was destroyed by an air strike," the Government Communications Service said in a statement posted on Facebook.
Æthiopian federal forces and forces loyal to the TPLF have been fighting for almost a year in a conflict that has killed thousands of people and displaced more than 2 million.

[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] A radical party agreed on Sunday to suspend for three days its march of thousands toward the capital Islamabad after Pakistain agreed to drop pending charges against the party’s leader.
Party supporters on Saturday departed the eastern city of Lahore, clashing for a second straight day with police who lobbed tear gas into the crowd.
The group began its journey a day earlier with the goal of reaching Islamabad to pressure the government to release Saad Rizvi, head of the Islamist Tehrik-e-Labiak Pakistain party. Rizvi was arrested last year amid demonstrations against La Belle France over the publication of caricatures of Prophet Muhammad.
Raja Basharat, provincial law minister, told The News Agency that Dare Not be Named that under the agreement Punjab 1.) Little Orphan Annie's bodyguard
2.) A province of Pakistain ruled by one of the Sharif brothers
3.) A province of India. It is majority (60 percent) Sikh and Hindoo (37 percent), which means it has relatively few Moslem riots.... will withdraw charges against Rizvi and release all those detained during the protest march by Tuesday.
Rizvi were tossed into the calaboose pre-emptively on a charge of inciting people to assemble unlawfully. It was unclear when he would be released.
Basharat also said the agreement stipulates that the federal government will honor a previous agreement with the TLP to address diplomatic ties with La Belle France over the publication of the caricatures.
Sajid Saifi, front man for Rizvi’s party, confirmed the minister’s account and said thousands of party supporters will stay in the town of Mureedke waiting for the release of party leaders and members who have been detained.
Pakistain Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed told news hounds that the TLP’s demand that the French ambassador to Pakistain be expelled over the caricatures would be taken to a parliamentary committee in the coming days.
Basharat, Ahmed and Religious Affairs Minister Noorul Haq Qadri took part in the talks with the TLP executive council.
Violent festivities erupted between security forces and the Islamists in Lahore killing at least two police and injuring about a dozen, police said. Saifi claimed four party supporters were killed by police fire and "many" others were maimed. Police said the demonstrators torched several police vehicles there.
Ahmed said the government was unaware of any deaths of TLP supporters.
Rizvi’s party gained prominence in Pakistain’s 2018 elections, campaigning on the single issue of defending the country’s blasphemy ...the act of insulting or showing contempt or lack of reverence to a deity, or sacred objects, or toward something considered sacred or inviolable. Some religions consider it to be a crime. In Pakistain you can commit blasphemy by looking cross-eyed at a Koran... law, which calls for the death penalty for anyone who insults Islam. It has a history of staging violent mostly peaceful protests to pressure the government to accept its demands.

[Breitbart] London’s leftist mayor Sadiq Khan is making £25,000 grants available to change street names in a Black Lives Matter-inspired diversity drive.
The so-called "Untold Stories" grants are to be backed by a £1 million fund of public money, which campaigners will be able to use to hire consultants, remunerate impacted residents, and so on throughout the renaming process — which is not as simple as might be supposed, having an expensive knock-on effect on emergency and postal services, for example.
They will be administered by the Commission for Diversity in the Public Realm, established by Mayor Khan after the BLM violence sparked by the death of George Floyd in America crossed the Atlantic to decide whether monuments and memorials to historic figures deemed "problematic" by the modern left should be removed.
"London’s diversity is its greatest strength but for far too long our capital’s statues, street names, and buildings have only shown a limited perspective on our city’s complex history," Khan asserted, in comments reported by The Telegraph.
"I’m determined to do everything I can to ensure our public realm presents a more complete picture of everyone who has made London the incredible city it is today," he vowed.

[Garowe] A deadly blast in Kampala late on Saturday appeared to be an act of terrorism, Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni ...President-for-Life of Uganda. He assumed office in 1985. His primary virtue is being prefereable to both his predecessors, Idi Amin and Milton Obote... said on Sunday.
He said the earth-shattering kaboom in the capital killed one person, although the Uganda Police chief political commissar Asan Kasingye said late on Saturday that two people were killed.
At least seven people were maimed, TV station NTV reported.
"It seems to be a terrorist act," Museveni tweeted on Sunday.
"The information I have is that 3 people came and left a package in kaveera [plastic bag] which later on went kaboom!," Museveni said.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility.
Officials did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
The blast occurred at Digida Pork Joint, a restaurant, local media reported. Videos shared on social media showed panicked and confused revelers illuminated by blue police lights.
Bomb blasts in the East African country are rare. Kampala suffered a major attack by Somalia's al-Shabaab ...... an Islamic infestation centering on Somalia attempting to metastasize into Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and similar places, all ofwhich have enough problems without them... in 2010 that killed dozens. The group said it had attacked Uganda as a punishment for its deployment of troops in Somalia.
"All indications suggest an act of domestic terror," police have said of the earth-shattering kaboom which killed a 20-year-old waitress and injured three others at a grilled pork joint in northern Kampala.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility to the attack. Police said the bomb had been made using local materials, and that the restaurant was filled with nails and shrapnel. Investigators were still working to find out the "true circumstances" behind the earth-shattering kaboom, police added.
WHAT IS THE SECURITY SITUATION IN UGANDA?
On October 8, the so-called "Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... " group grabbed credit for a kaboom on a police post in Kawempe. Later on, Ugandan police confirmed a minor incident had occurred, although they did not report injuries or explosions.
The UK and La Belle France earlier this month raised their traveling advice for Uganda, telling visitors to be especially vigilant in crowded areas.
Islamic state claimed responsibility of a bomb attack that killed at least one person in Uganda's capital Kampala on Saturday night, the militant group said in a statement posted in an affiliated Telegram channel late on Sunday.
The group said that some of its members detonated an explosive device in a bar where "members and spies of the Crusader Ugandan government were gathering" in Kampala on Sunday.
[DAWN] In what appears to be another total surrender before the violent mostly peaceful protesters marching towards the capital via G.T. Road, the federal government on Sunday released more than 350 activists of the banned Tehrik-e-Labbaik Pakistain (TLP), besides announcing that the cases against others would be withdrawn by Wednesday (Oct 27).The government also assured the TLP leaders of reviewing the Fourth Schedule list containing their names and working on a plan to release their locked away Drop the rod and step away witcher hands up! chief Saad Rizvi, announced Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed while speaking at a news conference.
The interior minister, who addressed the presser after leading a government team in negotiations with representatives of the TLP, including its detained chief, in Islamabad, later tweeted: "We have released 350 TLP workers up to now and we are still waiting to open both sides of road of Muridke as per the decision with the TLP."
Another round of talks with the TLP will be held at the Ministry of Interior in Islamabad on Monday morning (today), according to Mr Rashid who said the protesters had agreed not to march towards the capital and stay at Muridke, some 33 kilometres from Lahore, till Wednesday.
However, a clean conscience makes a soft pillow... a TLP Shura member claimed the interior minister had sought time till the return of Prime Minister Imran Khan ...aka The Great Khan, who isn't your heaviest-duty thinker, maybe not even among the top five... who is currently on an official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia ...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. Fifteen of the nineteen WTC hijackers were Saudis, and most major jihadi commanders were Saudis, to include Osama bin Laden. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman quietly folded that tent in 2016, doing terrible things to the guys running it, and has since been dragging the kingdom into the current century... "Perhaps the people will say that the state has surrendered. But it is not the job of the state to use the stick (force)," the minister said, explaining the duty of the state was to find a path of reconciliation. "This is my viewpoint as the interior minister," he quickly added.
A member of the TLP Shura said they had agreed to the government’s proposal to stay and wait at Muridke for two days, because the government had assured them that it would release all those arrested, including the TLP chief and other Shura members, and would review the Fourth Schedule.
He further claimed that the government had promised that it would act on the agreement signed with the group in November 2020.
According to the TLP Shura member, their leadership and workers after being released would join the marchers at Muridke and announce their next plan, possibly the termination of the long march.

3.) A province of India. The suspects of terrorism and sectarianism are placed under the Fourth Schedule under the Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997. The list is referred to local police and law-enforcement agencies for effective monitoring of the people and if someone in the list wants to move somewhere, he is required to inform the nearby cop shoppe.

[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] A man under house arrest in Italia showed up at a police barracks asking to be put behind bars because life with his wife at home was unbearable, police said on Sunday.undefined
The 30-year-old Albanian citizen living in Guidonia Montecelio, outside Rome, "was no longer able to cope with the forced cohabitation with his wife," Carabinieri police from nearby Tivoli said in a statement.
"Exasperated by the situation, he preferred to escape, spontaneously presenting himself to the Carabinieri to ask to serve his sentence behind bars," they wrote.
The man had been under house arrest for drug crimes for several months and had a few years left to serve, Captain Francesco Giacomo Ferrante of the Tivoli Carabinieri told AFP.
"He lived at home with his wife and family. It wasn’t going well anymore," Ferrante said.
"He said, ’Listen, my domestic life has become hell, I can’t do it anymore, I want to go to jail."
The man was promptly arrested for violating his house arrest and judicial authorities ordered his transfer to prison.

[TOWNHALL] Russian President Vladimir Putin ...President-for-Life of Russia. He gets along well with other presidents for life. He is credited with bringing political stability and re-establishing something like the rule of law, which occasionally results in somebody dropping dead from poisoning by polonium or other interesting substance. Under Putin, a new group of business magnates controlling significant swathes of Russia's economy has emerged, all of whom have close personal ties to him. The old bunch, without close personal ties to Putin, are in jail or in exile or dead from poisoning by polonium or other interesting substances... gave a speech this week calling out the United States and other western nations for their progressive ideology, particularly drawing attention to the issue of gender identity.
Putin said during his Thursday speech at the Valdai Discussion Club in Sochi that Russia should hold onto its "spiritual values and historical traditions." He added that "sociocultural disturbances" could be detrimental to the country.
Western nations in Europa ...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum... and the United States, Putin warned, have allowed "the aggressive deletion of whole pages of their own history, reverse discrimination against the majority in the interests of minorities ... constitute movement toward public renewal."
"It’s their right, but we are asking them to steer clear of our home," he continued. "We have a different viewpoint."
Putin also discussed how liberals in the West want to eliminate what he called "traditional interpretation of such basic values," which include designations such as "mother, father, family, and the distinction between sexes."
"The proponents of new approaches go so far as they want to eliminate the whole notions of men and women, and those who dare say that men and women exist and this is a biological fact, they are all but banished," he said. "Parent number one, parent number two, or the parent that has given birth, or instead of breast milk, you say human milk. And you say all of that, so the people who are not sure of their sexual agenda are not unhappy."
In an apparent knock against youth transgenderism, the Russian dictator said that children being taught that a "boy can become a girl" and vice versa is on "the verge of a crime against humanity."
"There are some monstrous things when from a very young age, you teach to children that the boy can easily become a girl and you impose on them this selection, this choice," Putin said. "You push the parents aside and make the child take these decisions that can destroy their lives."

"The Russian dictator"?
Which country is criminalizing political differences?
Which country brought the full force of the security apparatus and the federal justice establishment in league with one candidate's campaign and supported by a see-no-evil compliant partisan media, t o promote a ridiculous fable spun out of nothing at all -- for three whole years, brainwashing half the public to believe the most retarded nonsense about their opponent?
Fact: there is more freedom in Putin's Russia today than in contemporary America.
Unlike America, Russia today has no de facto censor a la Dorsey's Twitter or Fakebook or Giggle. You can say whatever you want on Russian social media.
And no one in the Russian school system will tell you and your children that you are wicked and must repent of the crime of being white, thus "privileged." Or that there are a dozen genders and that pathological freaks who wish to mutilate their bodies and deny biology are somehow heroes, champions of human dignity and human rights.
Russia has plenty of problems, but they like Hungary and Poland and most of France and Italy have preserved the core of REASON and DECENCY.
They have resisted the contagion of stupidity and self-hatred, abetted by simple extortion and self-aggrandizement by a tiny band of grifting fools, that is sweeping across elite Western society.

.....the contagion of stupidity and self-hatred, abetted by simple extortion and self-aggrandizement by a tiny band of grifting fools, that is sweeping across elite Western society.
I don't believe I've ever heard it described so succinctly.
Second, Imagine a party, but the doors are locked and the 300lb xer is a bottle in and looking for a fight, and Russia has been a punching bag for 4 years for people with no morals.
Third, being a neighbor to China, there may be a time in the future when Russia will need back up of any sorts.
[Rudaw] Three fighters of the US-allied Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) were killed in a dronezap in Kobane, northeast Syria, the force announced on Sunday, blaming The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor... On Saturday morning, three SDF fighters went to Kobane for medical treatment and as they left the city "they were attacked by a Ottoman Turkish drone," read a statement from the SDF, which is the main partner of the global coalition fighting the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... group (ISIS) in Syria.
The three who were killed were identified as Hozan Qamishlo, Gali Aleppo, and Amed Afrin.
This is the second suspected Ottoman Turkishdronezap in the Kobane area this week. On Wednesday, two people were killed when the car they were travelling in was hit. SDF General Commander Mazloum Abdi condemned the attack and accused Turkey of violating ceasefire agreements.
Turkey’s defence ministry on Sunday claimed it "prevented another attack attempt and neutralized 5 PKK/YPG terrorists." It did not detail its operations, but said it would not allow Kurdish forces of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) and People’s Protection Units (YPG) to disturb security in the "Peace Spring region," referring to an area of northeastern Syria covered by 2019 ceasefire agreements with Russia and the United States that ended a Ottoman Turkish offensive to push Kurdish forces back from the border. The area includes Kobane.
Fears are growing in northeast Syria (Rojava) about a possible Ottoman Turkish military operation following threats from President His Enormity, Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First ...Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him. It's a sin, a shame, and a felony to insult the president of Turkey. In Anatolia did Recep Bey a stately Presidential Palace decree, that has 1100 rooms. That's 968 more than there are in the White House, 400 more than in Versailles, and 325 more than Buckingham Palace, so you know who's really most important... who said he has "no patience" with Kurdish forces in the Tal Rifaat area north of Aleppo. Turkey alleges Kurdish fighters use this area as a base to launch attacks on their positions. The SDF denies the charge.
Turkey’s Defence Minister Hulusi Akar, in Brussels to participate in NATO ...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. A collection of multinational and multilingual and multicultural armed forces, all of differing capabilities, working toward a common goal by pulling in different directions... meetings, said on Saturday his country is committed to the 2019 ceasefires. "Although there are some violations, festivities and attacks from time to time, the ceasefire and stability continue within the framework of the measures taken in general," he said.
Turkey has conducted three military operations in northern Syria since 2016, two of them against Kurdish fighters who Ankara considers a branch of the PKK and a threat to its national security.
[CONSERVATIVEBRIEF] Consultants to GOP Rep. Liz Cheney ...Faux Republican hereditary congresswoman-for-life from Wyoming. She has been described as Republican royalty. A staunch Never Trumper, Liz supported the second impeachment of Donald Trump for his role in the 2021 storming of the U.S. Capitol. Publicans dumped her from her leadership position in May 2021. Refusing to admit that she had trashed her own career, Cheney has said that she intends to be the leader... in a fight to help to restore our party and that she may be interested in a future presidential run.... , Wyoming’s only House member who has come to represent the anti-Trump faction of the Republican Party, are being told to drop her as a client or they themselves will be abandoned.
The New York Times
... which still proudly displays Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize... reported Thursday that a major lobbyist in Washington, D.C., who is close to House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy ...the GOP house majority whip. He replaces Eric Cantor, who got whupped because his politix are like Kevin McCarthy's... , R-Calif., has warned GOP consultants that they will have to choose between him and Cheney, "an ultimatum that marks the full rupture between the two House Republicans."
"Jeff Miller, the lobbyist and a confidant of Mr. McCarthy’s dating to their youthful days in Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, politics, has conveyed this us-or-her message to Republican strategists in recent weeks, prompting one fund-raising firm to disassociate itself from Ms. Cheney," the Times added.
"In response, The Morning Group, a fund-raising firm she hired to help prepare for a primary next year against a challenger endorsed by former President Donald J. Trump, informed her last month they could no longer work on her campaign, according to Republicans familiar with the matter," the paper said.
McCarthy and Cheney have been diverging for months, which began in earnest after she voted to impeach the then-lame duck Trump in January following the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol Building, which she has blamed him for inciting.

She won't get elected as a dem in Wyoming. And her to the death mission is to recover the Boosh-Cheney cartel to GOPe dominance. So I don't think she'll party switch. She will fail to be re-elected and move on the Council on Foreign Relations.

I was figuring the Socialcrats would just rig another election and get her elected. But you bring up valid points to consider also.
[BREITBART] Mark Meadows, former North Carolina congressman and House Freedom Caucus leader, who also served as White House chief of staff to former President Donald Trump ...The tack in the backside of the Democratic Party... , told Breitbart News Saturday that Americans are clearly seeing the contrast between leadership under Trump and President Joe Biden ...... 46th president of the U.S., father of Hunter. He blames Trump for losing Afghanistan....... and that he "would bet" Trump will run in 2024.
"We are in a fight for our lives," Meadows, author of the upcoming book The Chief’s Chief, said, detailing some of the major contrasts between Trump’s administration and Biden’s. Americans — even those who voted for Biden — are noticing, he said.
"I go all over the country, and people are saying, listen, even people who have voted for Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. Former Senator-for-Life from Delaware, an example of the kind of top-notch Washington intellect hacked up by the World's Greatest Deliberative Body. The guy who single-handedly lost Afghanistan... come up to me and say, ’Listen. I believed their lie. I believed that they were going to make things different. They’re not. Boy, what I would love to do is have President Trump back in the White House right now,'" Meadows said.
Americans across the country are facing higher gas prices, higher food prices, and supply chain issues. Parents who want to have a say in their children’s education are feeling attacked, being labeled "domestic turbans by the Biden administration, the same old faces in slightly different places, the same old ideas, the same old graft ...the gang of subgeniuses trying to pass themselves off as the adults in charge of the series of calamities characteristic of the administration of a mentally challenged geriatric case... . All the while, abroad, hundreds of Americans remain stranded in Afghanistan. All of those issues, Meadows said, are waking people up, and "not just in Virginia, where they got an election — but they’re saying, ’Enough is enough. We got to get control of this.’ And where is Joe Biden? Absent without leave."
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] The Ottoman Turkish lira weakened more than 1 percent to a record low of 9.74 against the dollar in early Asia trade after President Tayyip Erdogan said on Saturday he had order the expulsion of the ambassadors of the US and nine other Western countries.
The lira edged back to 9.72 by 1807 GMT from Friday’s close of 9.5950. It had already hit record lows last week after the central bank cut its policy rate by 200 basis points, despite rising inflation, in a shock move derided as reckless by economists and opposition politicians.

[AlAhram] Afghanistan's Taliban ...Arabic for students... government launched a programme to tackle hunger on Sunday, offering thousands of people wheat in exchange for labour.
The scheme will be rolled out around Afghanistan's major towns and cities and employ 40,000 men in the capital alone, the Taliban's chief front man said at a presser in southern Kabul.
"This is an important step for fighting unemployment," Zabihullah Mujahid said, adding the labourers must "work hard".
Afghanistan -- which is already suffering from poverty, drought, electricity blackouts and a failing economic system is now facing the onset of what may be a harsh winter.
The Taliban's food-for-work scheme will not pay labourers, targeting those who are currently unemployed and most at risk of starvation during the winter.
The two-month programme will see 11,600 tons of wheat distributed in the capital, with about 55,000 tons for elsewhere in the country, including Herat ...a venerable old Persian-speaking city in western Afghanistan, populated mostly by Tadjiks, which is why it's not as blood-soaked as areas controlled by Pashtuns... , Jalalabad, Kandahar, Mazar-e-Sharif and Pol-e-Khomri.
Work for the labourers in Kabul will include digging water channels and catchment terraces for snow in the hills to combat drought.
Mujahid and other bigwigs, including agriculture minister Abdul Rahman Rashid and Kabul mayor Hamdullah Nomani, cut a pink ribbon and dug a small ditch at a ceremony in the rural Rish Khor area of the capital to launch the programme.
