Firing James Comey may have been Trump's 'best move as president'
[HOT AIR] NY Times columnist Bret Stephens wrote a column yesterday in which he reviewed for readers the history of the FBI’s actions during the Trump administration with regard to the Steele dossier. Stephens argues that if Igor Danchenko is convicted, it will be a real embarrassment for the media outlets who promoted the dossier. However he says that putting the media’s role aside, Danchenko’s indictment is an even bigger blow to the credibility of the FBI:
What this indictment further exposes is that James Comey’s F.B.I. became a Bureau of Dirty Tricks, mitigated only by its own incompetence — like a mash-up of Inspector Javert and Inspector Clouseau. Donald Trump’s best move as president (about which I was dead wrong at the time) may have been to fire him.
The Inspector General’s report on the FBI’s handling of the FISA process found "many basic and fundamental errors." Stephens suggests this raised the question of whether the FBI was biased or incompetent. But he includes there’s evidence it was both. He points to FBI lawyer Kevin Clinesmith’s rewriting of an email to conceal the fact that Carter Page was working with the CIA:

And likely had never stopped 'working' for them. He was just on temp detail to the Bureau.

Patrick Leahy, Democratic Senator Humiliated by Dick Cheney, Announces Retirement
[Free Beacon] Sen. Patrick Leahy (D., Vt.), the 81-year-old career politician best known for his failed attempt to confront then-vice president Dick Cheney on the Senate floor, announced on Monday that he will not seek reelection in 2022.

The defining moment of Leahy's career came in June 2004 following the U.S. Senate class photo. Leahy, reportedly jealous that Cheney was mingling with a group of Republican lawmakers, approached the vice president and attempted to bully Cheney into acknowledging the Democrats in the room. The confrontation devolved into a shouting match over the Iraq war and other issues until Cheney conclusively ended the exchange. "Go fuck yourself," he told the senator with authority.

#5  I truly enjoyed that "dispute" and, No, it wasn't over the 'Iraq War".

For over a week Pat "Lying Lips" Leahy had been bloviating in the Senate (safely shielded against libel laws by Federal Law) about all of the "obviously sinister, Sinister I say!" things that Cheney was doing in a high-level consultation with the Oil Industry about 'Improving America's Energy Economy'. "They must reveal ALL their secret dealings to the Public unless they are guilty of vile, evil deeds!!!!" And so on and so forth for hours on C-SPAN.

Then it sure looked like Leahy approached Cheney with all "fake fellow Senator camaraderie" where Cheney was ignoring him and Cheney snapped. In an earlier Senate I feel that the two would have had a meeting at dawn with pistols over some of the things Leahy 'implied' about Cheney. That was is my impression of the event and, of course, YMMV.

Estonia Orders Snap Military Drill, Calls Up Reservists To Fortify Border With Russia
[ZERO] The Baltic European Union country of Estonia has ordered previously unannounced military exercises along its border with Russia, at a moment Latvia, Lithuania, and Poland to its south are locked in a standoff with Belarus over the migrant crisis.

The drills are being interpreted in part as an act of solidarity with Poland and meant to send a message to Belarus and its main geopolitical backer Russia. In particular military reservists are being called up to fortify the border, just like is happening with Estonia's EU allies, as Reuters reports, "The Estonian government summoned 1,700 reserve soldiers on Wednesday for an unannounced exercise which will include installing a razor wire barrier along 40 km of its border with Russia, as the migration crisis in nearby Belarus intensifies."

For the past week Poland, Lithuania, and Latvia have had states of emergencies in place at their borders with Belarus, allowing additional forces and reserve units to be called up, as the situation shows no signs of abating anytime soon.

Woman arrested after threatening to ‘murder everyone' inside Coweta County, GA school, police say
[WSBTV.com News Staff] COWETA COUNTY, Ga. — A Coweta County elementary school went into lockdown after police say a woman threatened to kill everyone inside the school following an incident at the bus stop.

According to police reports, 28-year-old Brittany Laparis Arnold was caught on surveillance camera shouting profanities at the monitor on her children’s school bus before letting them on board.

Later that day, Atkinson Elementary School Assistant Principal Monica Keel and Coweta County bus supervisor Fate Simmons made the decision not to allow Arnold’s children to ride the bus home that afternoon.

When Keel called Arnold to inform her she would need to pick her kids up from school, they were met with more profanity-laced shouting from Arnold, the police report states. It goes on to say that Arnold threatened to jump in front of the school bus and let it hit her before hanging up.

Belarus: Lukashenko agrees to EU talks on ending migrant standoff
[DW] In a phone call with German Chancellor Angela Merkel
...chancellor of Germany and the impetus behind Germany's remarkably ill-starred immigration program. Merkel used to be referred to by Germans as Mom. Now they make faces at her for inundating the country with Moslem colonists...
, Belarus' president reportedly said his country is ready to negotiate with the EU on solving the crisis at the Polish border.

Polish authorities said Wednesday the situation had calmed down, and the migrant camp by the fenced-off Kuznica border crossing was "slowly emptying."

Maciej Wasik, a Polish deputy interior minister, said he had received information that Belarusian authorities were bussing migrants colonists away from the border crossing area, although it was unclear where the people were being moved to.

Belarusian state news agency Belta reported that migrants colonists were moved to a heated logistics center near the border crossing.

A video on Twitter posted by Poland's Border Guard on Wednesday showed migrants colonists with bags being directed by Belarusian forces away from the border to an "unknown location."

In a later tweet, the border guard said around 1,000 migrants colonists remain in the area near Belarus' Bruzgi border crossing, and the rest had been "taken by Belarusian services."

For more than 10 days, a large group of migrants colonists, mainly escaping conflict in the Middle East, has been stuck near the Kuznica-Bruzgi border crossing, having been both denied entry to the EU and largely prevented by Belarusian authorities from turning back.

Polish authorities have responded by sending thousands of troops to counter migrants colonists who attempt to breach border fencing. Many of the migrants colonists aim to reach Germany or other Western European countries.

Biden's nominee to regulate banks stole hundreds of dollars of merchandise from a discount retail store, according to a police report
[Free Beacon] President Joe Biden's nominee to regulate banks stole hundreds of dollars of merchandise from a discount retail store, according to a police report revealed Wednesday.

Saule Omarova, whom Biden tapped to serve as Comptroller of the Currency, was arrested after she was caught stuffing $214 worth of clothes, shoes, cologne, and belts in her purse at a T.J. Maxx in Madison, Wis., in May 1995. Omarova was 28 years old at the time and studying for her doctorate at the University of Wisconsin.

Omarova is slated to appear before the Senate Banking Committee for her confirmation hearing Thursday. If confirmed, Omarova will oversee regulation of the country's banking system. The police report, published by the American Accountability Foundation, could get her into further hot water with Senate Republicans who say she supports radical economic policies.

Sen. Pat Toomey (R., Pa.), the ranking member of the Senate Banking Committee, has pressed Omarova to turn over a copy of a thesis she wrote on Karl Marx while studying at Moscow State University in the late 1980s. Omarova, who attended the school on a Lenin scholarship, scrubbed her résumé of a reference to the Marx thesis at some point over the last few years.

Rupert Murdoch accuses Google, Facebook of silencing conservatives
[Aljazeera] Rupert Murdoch renewed his attacks on Google and Facebook during News Corp’s annual shareholder meeting on Wednesday, accusing the tech giants of trying to silence conservative voices and calling for "significant reform".

The Silicon Valley companies are favourite targets for Murdoch, 90, who for years has criticized Google for taking the publisher’s news articles without compensation and Facebook for failing to adequately reward publishers.

The public flogging continued, despite News Corp winning concessions from both companies, which earlier this year agreed to pay for the publisher’s content in Australia.

"For many years our company has been leading the global debate about Big Digital," said Murdoch. "What we have seen in the past few weeks about the practices at Facebook and Google surely reinforces the need for significant reform."

Murdoch accused Facebook’s employees of trying to silence conservative voices, and noted "a similar pattern of selectivity" in Google’s search results. But according to data from Facebook-owned analytics firm CrowdTangle, posts from conservative personalities such as Dan Bongino and Ben Shapiro routinely rank among the most popular on the platform.

Rapper Young Dolph aka Adolf Thornton gunned down at Memphis Cookie Shop
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — Rapper Young Dolph was shot and killed Wednesday at a cookie shop in his hometown of Memphis, Tennessee, and a search is underway for the shooter, officials said.

Police tweeted that no suspect information was available in the shooting, which took place at Makeda’s Cookie’s near Memphis International Airport.

"The tragic shooting death of rap artist Young Dolph serves as another reminder of the pain that violent crime brings with it," Memphis Mayor Jim Strickland said in a statement. "My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends."

The Daily Memphian newspaper reported that Young Dolph’s cousin, Mareno Myers, said the rapper had been in town since Monday visiting an aunt who has cancer and was also giving out Thanksgiving turkeys.

"He was inside (Makeda’s), and somebody just rolled up on him and took his life," Myers said.

Some RAP will UN-WOKEN anyone.

Many Wally Worlds are now playing music to drown out the noise and conversations in their parking lots.

For the 1st time yesterday I understood why...

Some Ya-hoo thug wanta-be with what had to be 500 watt amps max'ed out speakers in his car. Windows rolled down (or already blown out), cruising the parking lot playing the filthiest RAP I have ever heard.

All while parents with kids were in the parking lot headed to or from the store.

Had me remembering that website "Amazing1" that I toyed around with years ago. Which offered a "homemade magnatron gun" device kit that fries cars electronics and stereos.

More than 100,000 Americans died of drug overdoses in one year
[CBS] An estimated 100,000 Americans died of drug overdoses in one year, a never-before-seen milestone that health officials say is tied to the COVID-19 pandemic and a more dangerous drug supply. Overdose deaths have been rising for more than two decades, accelerated in the past two years and, according to new data posted Wednesday, jumped nearly 30% in the latest year.

Experts believe the top drivers are the growing prevalence of deadly fentanyl in the illicit drug supply and the COVID-19 pandemic, which left many drug users socially isolated and unable to get treatment or other support.

The number is "devastating," said Katherine Keyes, a Columbia University expert on drug abuse issues. "It's a magnitude of overdose death that we haven't seen in this country."

#1  In related news, Texas law enforcement seized over $2million in fentanyl and cocaine in a single day at the border.

As the Border Patrol focuses on caring and feeding thousands of migrants daily, the cartels are taking advantage of enforcement gaps. A redirection of CBP personnel from ports of entry to assist the Border Patrol has likely benefited the cartels as well. With reduced inspection capabilities at ports, cartels face reduced chances of losing shipments.

Britain
Day 4: Liverpool terror blast planned for 'at least' 7 months
Day 3 is here, and has links to the previous days’ posts. The Daily Mail is also calling him the Poppy Day bomber.
[AlAhram] The man who died in a botched kaboom in the northern English city of Liverpool on Sunday had planned the blast for at least seven months, police said Wednesday.

Iraq-born Emad Al Swealmeen, 32, rented a property in the city in April and had made "relevant purchases" for his bomb since "at least" that time, said Russ Jackson, who heads counter-terrorism policing in northwest England.

Al Swealmeen's improvised device went off in the back of a taxi outside a Liverpool hospital moments before Britannia marked Remembrance Sunday last weekend.

He was killed in the fireball, while the quick-thinking taxi driver escaped with minor injuries after reportedly locking Al Swealmeen inside his cab.

"A complex picture is emerging over the purchases of the component parts of the device, we know that Al Swealmeen rented the property from April this year and we believe relevant purchases have been made at least since that time," said Jackson.

"We have now traced a next of kin for Al Swealmeen who has informed us that he was born in Iraq."

The failed asylum seeker suffered from bouts of mental illness that will "form part of the investigation and will take some time to fully understand" said Jackson.

Al Swealmeen was taken in by Elizabeth and Malcolm Hitchcott, a Christian volunteer couple in Liverpool, for eight months from 2017 as his appeal for refugee status played out.

Malcolm Hitchcott told ITV News that Al Swealmeen spent time in a mental institution after being arrested with a knife in an incident in central Liverpool.

CONVERSION QUESTIONS
The Times newspaper reported that the improvised device contained TATP -- the same explosive favoured by the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
group that was used in the 2015 Gay Paree attacks and the Manchester Arena bombing in 2017.

The blast was the second terror-inspired attack in Britannia in the last month, after a British MP was stabbed to death as he met constituents in southeast England in October.

The two incidents prompted the government on Monday to raise the terror threat level from "substantial" to "severe" -- the second-highest -- meaning an attack was "highly likely".

It has also brought Britannia's asylum policy under scrutiny, at a time when London is seeking to tighten its borders, particularly against migrants colonists crossing from La Belle France over the Channel.

Home Secretary Priti Patel said Al Swealmeen had been able to exploit Britannia's "dysfunctional" immigration system and stay in the country, despite having been rejected for asylum, British media reported.

His conversion to Christianity has also prompted discussion about whether some asylum seekers were using the process to bolster their case to stay in Britannia.

Liverpool Cathedral, where Al Swealmeen was baptised in 2015 and confirmed in 2017, said it had "robust processes" in place to determine a person's "genuine commitment".
The Liverpool hospital bomber spent seven months experimenting with different explosives while plotting his attack, it emerged last night.

Emad Al Swealmeen, 32, started building a bomb factory at a rented bedsit as early as April, according to police.

Traces detected at the property show he bought a range of chemicals capable of making more than one type of explosive, including one used by the 7/7 London bombers.

Detectives are trying to untangle a ’complex picture’ of chemical purchases made both online and in shops.

Armed police raided the bomb factory in the Sefton Park area of Liverpool shortly after Al Swealmeen accidentally went kaboom! at Liverpool Women’s Hospital on Remembrance Sunday.

The next day, bomb disposal officers carried out a controlled explosion in the park, and Rutland Avenue, where the explosives factory was located, remains closed off.

Yesterday afternoon officers also extended a cordon around Sutcliffe Street in Kensington, central Liverpool, where Al Swealmeen is thought to have lived.

Officers from the bomb squad were on the scene and a counter-terror police front man said several suspicious packages had been found.

Residents were ordered to stay indoors and others forbidden from returning to their homes. They were instead directed to a nearby primary school for shelter.

Forensic tests are still being carried out on the taxi which went kaboom! with Al Swealmeen inside. It was confirmed last night that he died of injuries sustained in the blast and from the subsequent fire.

Giving an update last night, Assistant Chief Constable Russ Jackson said Iraqi-born Al Swealmeen started buying chemicals in April, or even earlier.

Security sources said there was little to suggest the Christian convert was ideologically motivated — one theory is that he suffered a mental health crisis possibly triggered by his failure to win asylum.

He had been sectioned in 2015 after being arrested for waving a large knife and threatening to kill himself by jumping off a bridge in Liverpool city centre.

Al Swealmeen, who wanted to be a pizza chef, also spoke to church leaders about suffering from depression.

A shopkeeper told the Mail he was ’obviously not right in the head’ and described how the motor racing fan, who adopted the name Enzo Almeni after the Ferrari legend, had threatened with a knife one of his staff staying at the same hostel.

Brandon Blames Port Delays and Record High Energy Prices on Oil Companies ‐ Calls for investigation
[Breitbart] President Joe Biden warned private companies Wednesday they were not doing enough to help alleviate clogged ship traffic and port delays.

"We need major retailers who ordered the goods and the freight movers who take the goods from the ships to factories and to stores to step up as well," Biden said during a speech at the White House.

Port delays continue as container ships are forced to wait for weeks to offload their cargo, frustrated by traffic and trucking and worker shortages.

Normalizing? 200 Arrested in Balkh in Past 3 Months
At least they’re doing something that good governments do. That is, if the people they’re arresting really are standard issue criminals rather than rebels refusing to be conquered.
[ToloNews] Security officials of Balkh province said that at least 200 suspected people who are accused of murder and kidnapping were arrested during the past three months in Mazar-e-Sharif city and districts of Balkh province.

The head of the security department, Abdul Hai Abed, further said that the level of criminal cases has significantly declined in Balkh province.

"During the last three months when the Islamic Emirate took power we have arrested 200 accused of murder, kidnapping and robbery, and they are waiting for the courts," said Abdul Hai Abed. "Forty of them were arrested during the two weeks," he said.

Meanwhile,
...back at the revival hall, the SWAT team had finally arrived...
Abdul Hai Abed added that the Islamic Emirate has begun the process of purging the ranks and reforming in the province. "The commission is sorting and reforming forces newly established in the province and has already started preliminary works," Abed said.

At the same time, residents of Mazar-e-Sharif confirmed that the level of crimes has decreased, but some mysterious killings are often reported in the city of Mazar-e-Sharif.

"The security is better compared to three months ago in the city and we ask security forces to do more for better security," said Ali Ahmad, a resident.

The residents of Balkh province welcomed security forces’ efforts in maintaining security in their city, and additionally, urged the Islamic Emirate to provide employment opportunities for the residents.

Girls' Schools Reopened In Ghor’s Capital
[ToloNews] After a long delay, female students from grade 7 to 12 were allowed to the attend their schools in Ferozkoh, capital of the western province of Ghor.

Provincial girls are happy about the reopening of their schools, and urged the Islamic Emirate to allow girls to attend schools nationwide.

"Today, the schools from grade 7 to 12 were reopened. We hope the schools be reopened in other areas as well" said Gay Pareea, a student.

"We were very dispirited over schools that were closed and now we hope our schools remain open so we can study and make a good future for ourselves," said Sitara, another student.

The schools were reopened as a result of efforts made by the Ferozkoh council. The council urged the provincial education officials to reopen the girls' schools.

"We reached an agreement that the high schools for girls in the capital and all districts of Ghor should be reopened," said Sultan Ahmad, head of the Ferozkoh council.

"Fortunately, the schools will reopened for the girl students. It is very important because if women are deprived of education, the next generation of the society will not have a bright future," said Habib Wahdat, a civil right activist.

terror group before coming to the U.S. is eligible to be deported because he lied on his immigration papers, a federal judge decided Tuesday.

Assistant Chief Immigration Judge Tara Naselow-Nahas ruled that Omar Abdulsattar Ameen lied when he was filling out his refugee application to gain entry into the United States. Among other things, she found he wasn’t being truthful when he said he had never interacted with, knew or had involvement with various terrorist groups, including the Islamic State of Iraq.

But she rejected other allegations, including that he provided support, engaged in terrorist activity, participated in harming another person, or misrepresented that he was a member of such a group.

Naselow-Nahas found that Ameen interacted with a cousin "who is clearly a member of an armed terrorist group." She also found the government proved that he lied when he said his father had been fatally shot and that his brother had been kidnapped.

"There is no harm in proposing initiatives, on condition that they are within the constitutional frameworks and not be disruptive to the sustainability of the political process, nor should they be conciliatory or exclusionary, because it will confuse the political situation."

Al-Masoudi concluded, "We reject the principle of settlements and consensus. We must differentiate between supporting the political process and the understandings that take place in this regard, and the issue of constitutional frameworks. There is a difference between political work and constitutional work."

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Raisi warns al-Kadhimi of the ''enemies'' attempts to undermine Iraq's stability
[SHAFAQ] The Iranian President, Ebrahim Raisi, held a phone call with the Iraqi Prime Minister, Mustafa al-Kadhimi, earlier today, Wednesday, according to Iranian Media. The Iranian hardliner President told al-Kadhimi that the enemies of the region will not brook the stability and advancement of the Arab country.

"They (the adversarial forces) are after [advancing] their own sinister goals through sedition," Raeisi told Mustafa al-Kadhimi in a phone call on Wednesday, adding, "All should therefore stay alert in the face of such plots."

The Iranian chief executive made the remarks amid ongoing sporadic attempts at sowing instability across the country, the last major one among which featured a drone attack against al-Kadhimi’s residence in Baghdad’s Green Zone area.

Raisi said Iran’s "unwavering and principled position" concerning Iraq is one of support for the country’s independence, security, and illusory illusory sovereignty.

The Islamic Theocratic Republic always stands by the Iraqi people and government, he said, adding, "Iraq’s unity and integrity are strategic issues that should not be compromised."

The Islamic Theocratic Republic, he said, backs whatever mechanism that could seek to resolve the country’s standing problems and disputes through legal and transparent means.

Iraq held general elections on October 10, which was followed by allegations of fraud and widespread protests in the capital and elsewhere.

Al-Kadhimi, for his part, expressed gratitude towards Tehran over its "unstinting" assistance of his country and support for its stability and security, according to Iranian media.

Iranian president claims country's frozen assets abroad were released
[Jpost] Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi announced that the country's resources in other countries had been unblocked.

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi announced that Iran now has access to its resources in other countries, during a session in the Iranian parliament on Tuesday, according to the Fars News Agency.

"In the beginning, the government had problems with selling oil, but now the situation has improved and I can only say that the government has access to its resources in other countries," said Raisi.

The president did not provide any further details.

The announcement comes just days after Ali Naderi, the managing director of Iran's Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), tweeted that over $3.5 billion of Iran's blocked resources had been released by one of the countries holding them.

Naderi added that a "significant portion" of the now unblocked resources were entering Iran's trade cycle. The IRNA CEO did not specify which country had released the resources.

Strip, the Qatari Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday. The announcement was made in Oslo by Soltan bin Saad al-Muraikhi, Qatar's minister of state for foreign affairs, during a ministerial meeting of the Ad Hoc Liaison Committee (AHLC), the international donor group for Paleostinians.

He (Muraikhi) affirmed that these joint collaborative efforts will contribute to improving living conditions (in Gaza)," the Foreign Ministry statement said.

About 2,200 homes in the enclave were destroyed and 37,000 others were damaged during the 11-day conflict between Israel and Hamas, one of the armed feet of the Moslem Brüderbund millipede, in May, says Gaza's Hamas-run government.

Some homes in Israel were damaged by rockets launched by Islamist organization Hamas and other Gaza bully boy groups.

Paleostinian officials say 250 people, including 66 children, were killed by Israeli air strikes on Gaza. Israeli officials says 13 people, including two children, were killed in Israel by bully boy rockets.

According to official sources eight trucks entered into the Gaza Strip, bringing to 48 the total number of trucks loaded with building tools and materials and transferring Egyptian technicians taking part in President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's initiative on Gaza reconstruction.

Meantime, relief assistance continues to flow to the Paleostinian side, the sources said.

Resident of Kaspiysk convicted in terrorism case
Direct Translation via Google Translation Edited.
[KavkazUzel] A military court in Rostov-on-Don today sentenced a resident of Dagestan Elvin Agadadashev to 11 years in a strict regime colony, having found him guilty of preparing an attack on police officers and participating in a terrorist organization.

Elvin Agadadashev, a 34-year-old resident of Kaspiysk, was accused of participating in the activities of a terrorist organization, facilitating terrorist activities, attempting to organize an illegal armed group, illegal arms and ammunition trafficking, and preparing to encroach on the lives of law enforcement officials.

"It has been established that since December 2019, the defendant, while in Kaspiysk in the Republic of Dagestan, was preparing to take part in the activities of the banned international terrorist organization Islamic State," the press service of the Southern District Military Court told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

Agadadashev also suggested that two acquaintances create an illegal armed group and attack police officers, but they refused, the court noted.

"The defendant planned to take the life of the police officers in Kaspiysk by hitting a car and using a prepared ax and knife," the press service explained.

Also in 2017, Agadadashev received a pistol and cartridges for it from an acquaintance, with them he was detained on February 6, 2020, they said in court.

In accordance with the verdict of the court, Agadadashev was found guilty, and he was sentenced to 11 years in prison in a strict regime correctional colony with serving the first 3 years and 6 months in prison. The defendant pleaded not guilty, the press service of the court said.

The verdict has not entered into legal force and can be appealed by the parties in the Military Court of Appeal.

The criminal case against Agadadashev came to court on October 26, 2020, hearings on the merits began in December, the process took about 20 sessions, follows from the file on the website of the Southern District Military Court.

A military court upholds the verdict of a resident of Stavropol for recruitment to IS
[KavkazUzel] The Military Court of Appeal upheld the sentence of Ikboljon Shamshidinov, a resident of the Stavropol Territory, who was sentenced to 10 years in prison for recruiting friends into the ranks of the terrorist organizations Islamic State and Dzhebhat al-Nusra banned in Russia.

As the "Caucasian Knot" reported, on August 26, the Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don appointed 10 years in a strict regime colony for Ikbolzhon Shamshidinov, a resident of the Stavropol Territory, accused of justifying terrorism and recruiting two acquaintances into the ranks of the Islamic State."

The defense appealed the verdict, considering it too harsh. Nevertheless, the collegium of the Military Court of Appeal in the Moscow Region today also found Shamshidinov guilty and upheld the verdict of the Southern District Military Court unchanged, a court official told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

The "Caucasian Knot" had no comments from Ikbolzhon Shamshidinov and his representatives regarding the court's decision.

A complaint against Shamshidinov's verdict was received on October 21, it follows from the file on the website of the Military Court of Appeal.

Recall, according to the investigation, Shamshidinov in 2019, while in Stavropol, "using his mobile phone, posted video files on social networks created and administered by him, justifying and promoting terrorism." In addition, in 2020, Shamshidinov "repeatedly, in personal communication and using the group he created in the messenger, by persuasion and sending video and audio recordings, persuaded two of his friends to take part in the activities of international banned terrorist organizations" in Syria, the investigation said. He admitted his guilt, declared in court.

[KavkazUzel] A military court in Rostov-on-Don sentenced a resident of Karachay-Cherkessia Taulan Gochiyayev to a fine of 400,000 rubles, having found him guilty of justifying terrorism.

Taulan Gochiyaev, a 44-year-old native of Cherkessk, was accused of publicly justifying terrorism using the Internet (part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Russian Criminal Code), the Southern District Military Court reported. The maximum penalty under this article is up to seven years in prison.

"It was established that in July 2019, a defendant in the city of Karachaevsk of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic posted on a public channel of one of the messengers a publication containing linguistic signs of justifying terrorist activities, recognizing the practice and ideology of terrorism as correct, in need of support and imitation," the correspondent was told.

Today the court sentenced Gochiyayev to a fine of 400,000 rubles. He admitted his guilt. The verdict has not entered into legal force and can be appealed by the parties in the Military Court of Appeal, the press service informed.

The "Caucasian Knot" does not have comments from Taulan Gochiyayev and his representatives regarding the version of the investigation and the court's decision.

-Lurid Crime Tales-
‘Shocking truth.' 160,000 military families struggling with food insecurity, report
[JustTheNews] Feeding America estimates that 29% of military members faced food insecurity in the previous year.

At least 160,000 active-duty military members are struggling to feed their families, according to Feeding America, which coordinates over 200 food banks across the country.

It is unknown what the exact scope of the issue is, as there have been no formal studies. But activists say it has continued for years, mostly with junior-level enlisted service members -- ranks E1 to E4 in military parlance -- who have children, The Associated Press reported.
I remember being told by some former young military wives about their shame at needing food stamps to get through the month back when Jimmy Carter was president. Is this a thing that waxes and wanes, or has it been consistently like this the entire time?
"It's a shocking truth that's known to many food banks across the United States," said Feeding America's government relations officer, Vince Hall. "This should be the cause of deep embarrassment."

During the previous year, 29% of military members faced food insecurity, according to an estimate by Feeding America.

Junior enlisted ranks receive modest pay and have to frequently move, making it difficult for their spouses to maintain a job, the AP reported.

There is a significant network of military-adjacent charitable organizations, like Blue Star Families and the Armed Services YMCA, that have created an infrastructure of food banks near the majoriy of most domestic bases.

Military families living outside of base grounds receive a Basic Allowance for Housing to help cover the majority of their costs. But the 2008 Food and Nutrition Act counts the allowance as income when calculating food stamps eligibility, which results in disqualifying thousands of military families.

However, the allowance does not count as income with WIC benefits for mothers and children or for tax reasons.

"It's one of these things that the American people don't know about, but it's a matter of course among military members. We know this," said Sen. Tammy Duckworth (D-Ill.), a former Blackhawk pilot who lost both of her legs in a helicopter crash in Iraq. "We're the mightiest military on the face of the earth and yet those who are on the lower rung of our military ranks are -- if they are married and have a child or two-- they're hungry. How can you focus on carrying out the mission and defending our democracy. If you're worried about whether or not your kid gets dinner tonight?"

A U.S. Agriculture Department (USDA) spokesman told AP that officials are "taking a fresh look at our authorities with respect to this policy."

Duckworth has sponsored a bill that would establish a Basic Needs Allowance for needy military families. Rep. James McGovern (D-Mass.) has asked for the Department of Defense to study the problem and repeal the USDA regulation that prevents military families in need from receiving SNAP benefits.

Josh Protas, Vice President of Public Policy for MAZON, an organization that has extensively researched military hunger, said military members dealing with food insecurity are less likely to re-enlist and more likely to be distracted in the field, according to the AP. He added that losing such talent may also be generational as military service tends to run in families.

#1  When I was in, fifty years back, E4 with kids really wanted a part time job. Or food stamps.
Disgraceful. Do you want pix of Meals on Wheels driving into married housing on military bases?
You don't need to pay he E4 and under a princely wage. But if there's a family, for damn' sure you take care of them.
I was, at one point, in a slot where part of my job was what might be considered social work for the troops. Allotments were always screwed up, so we had resources while we got the G89s or whatever at Allotments to get off their butts and fix something.
I remember a First Sergeant, on the horn to battalion finance--that far back. "Misrez Johnson ain't got no food for the baby. You want me to come up there and slap a turd out of you the size of my forarm?" Top would and could have done it. First Sergeants have an ....interesting....position in the Army.
Got it done, too.
Shouldn't have to.
Disgraceful, plus the generational thing. Those are good troops. Can't afford to lose them.

#5  It's cyclic with the Donks in charge.

After Vietnam the Donks decided to punish the military for carrying out their Constitutional responsibilities. No pay raises during the Carter inflation. Then it became a campaign issue in 1980 and suddenly they got a very modest pay raise just before the election (and two more in the next year under Reagan).

During Clinton's administration declaring their Cold War savings, the same thing popped up again. His DoD wormtongue blamed it on the troop having too many kids. Later when pressed, they said a family with two kids was their definition of large.

Got to remember these are the same Leftists clowns who demand a "Living Wage" not "Minimum Wage".

Now way back in as late as the 60s during the draft Army, being married with children was considered for deferment. Junior enlisted had to get their company commander's approval to get married. All because when it comes to their most important asset, the troops, they're raging misers. Up until Reagan even those who resided on post, lived in WWII or earlier housing and billeting. Uncle Same was the biggest slum lord in America.

#6  I don’t know where the DOD commissary tied to community store pricing idea originated because here at NAS Whidbey our commissary is significantly cheaper; now if you want to discuss tying Exchange prices to the community that is different. In response to a question posed to region’s NEX a couple years back i was given a copy (since lost) of an instruction that clearly said NEX gas prices could not be more than a couple pennies cheaper than outside. And that made no allowance for fact on base you paid no state taxes. So NEX gas prices were essentially the same and NEX got to pocket all the (avoided) local taxes. So i seldom buy gas on base.
And finally, while junior enlisted may have to use food stamps, it is enlightening to drive through enlisted housing and see all the BMWs, Lexuses(Lexii?), and similar vehicles. I never had that thought process and bought used for many years.

Government Corruption
FBI Raids Home of Republican Rep Laurie Boebert's Former Campaign Manager
[Salon] The FBI on Tuesday raided the home of a Colorado election clerk and three others in an investigation into a voting system security breach.

Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters, a Republican, was accused by state officials in August of helping to leak voting system passwords to a right-wing blog. Peters later appeared at MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell's conspiracy-laden "cyber-symposium," where the pillow magnate promised but failed to produce evidence of election-rigging. Peters later briefly went into hiding with Lindell's help amid FBI scrutiny.

On Tuesday morning, the FBI and local prosecutors raided Peters' home.

OSHA suspends enforcement of Vax Mandate
Note: I was thinking of posting this as 'other' but really, the mandate is a form of terror with the USA Administrative State as the terror entity
[NationalReview] The OSHA website page dedicated to the COVID Vaccine Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS) reads:

"While OSHA remains confident in its authority to protect workers in emergencies, OSHA has suspended activities related to the implementation and enforcement of the ETS pending future developments in the litigation."

Last week, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit fully blocked Biden’s executive order requiring companies with over 100 workers to mandate vaccination for their employees after temporarily staying it on November 12. The court ordered that OSHA "take no steps to implement or enforce" the vaccine mandate "until further court order."

Humanitarian aid to Afghanistan to flown in by Russian aircraft
Direct Translation via Google Translation. Edited.
Not enough to make a difference, but useful as a symbol.
[REGNUM] The first flight with humanitarian aid for Afghanistan will arrive by plane of the Russian Ministry of Defense in Kabul. This was announced on November 17 by the Russian Ambassador to Kabul Dmitry Zhirnov in an interview with the Izvestia newspaper.

A batch of humanitarian cargo with a total weight of 36 tons will be delivered to Afghanistan on November 18. These are products, essential goods, medicines. In total, it is planned to bring over 100 tons of humanitarian aid.

As the Ambassador of the Russian Federation noted, the Taliban gave guarantees that humanitarian aid would be distributed among those in need. Zhirnov emphasized the importance of this condition, since, according to the Ambassador of the Russian Federation, "if there is a misfire, this will seriously complicate their further work with foreign donors."

In addition, Zhirnov clarified that Russian citizens will be taken from Afghanistan by return flights. In addition, about 900 Afghan students accepted to study at Russian universities to continue their education on a full-time basis will be able to fly to Russia on export flights.

Earlier IA REGNUM reported that the permanent representative of the Russian Federation to the UN Vasily Nebenzya announced that Russia would send humanitarian aid to Afghanistan in the near future.

Jair Bolsonaro and guns: A US culture war raging in Brazil
[BBC] Gun culture was a key part of Jair Bolsonaro's winning campaign to become Brazil's president. Three years later, what impact has he had on the nation's relationship with firearms and how much has US politics played a part?

#1  The article has some accuracies but is slanted against guns which makes parts of the article false.

I was in all parts of Brazil before and during Bolsonaro's Presidency and Brazilian men of good standing know more about US gun laws than a lot of Americans because living in a country where guns were not legally allowed made the men yearn for the ability to protect their families better if they had gun rights. So they looked to US to learn how we do it in detail.

Now that they can own guns, yes, there are more shootings because during a crime people are now shooting the criminals.

Islamic State group claims responsibility for Kampala bombings
[MONITOR.CO.UG] The Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
group grabbed credit for a twin suicide kaboom on Tuesday in the Ugandan capital Kampala that killed three people and left several others maimed.

IS, which said three jacket wallahs took part, with one attack targeting the central cop shoppe and another aimed at parliament, made the claim in a statement on its Telegram channels.

Police foiled a third attack, recovering an improvised bomb from the home of an alleged suicide bomber who was shot and injured, and were in pursuit of other members of the group, police front man Fred Enanga said.

Ugandan police have blamed a "domestic terror group" linked to the Allied Democratic Forces
...the ADF is one of several murderous Moslem groups in NE Congo. In 2019 the U.S. Treasury Department imposed sanctions on them for the usual reasons. They don't appear to be affiliated with al-Qaeda or Islamic State, though ISIS claims their work from time to time — they just like killing infidels....
(ADF) for the attacks, an armed force active in neighbouring eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo
...formerly the Congo Free State, Belgian Congo, Zaire, and who knows what else, not to be confused with the Brazzaville Congo aka Republic of Congo, which is much smaller and much more (for Africa) stable. DRC gave the world Patrice Lumumba and Joseph Mobutu, followed by years of tedious civil war. Its principle industry seems to be the production of corpses. With a population of about 74 million it has lots of raw material...
In April 2019, IS began to claim some ADF attacks on social media, presenting the group as its regional branch -- the Islamic State Central Africa Province, or ISCAP.

"Uganda is one of the nations participating in the war against IS in Central Africa," the IS message read.

In March this year the United States officially linked the ADF to IS.

The attacks follow two blasts last month -- a bus explosion near Kampala that maimed many people and a bombing at a roadside eatery in the capital that killed one woman.

Police said both of those explosions were carried out by the ADF.

Uganda has also blamed the group for a foiled kaboom in August on the funeral of an army commander who led a major offensive against al-Shabaab
...... the personification of Somali state failure...
hard boyz in Somalia.

The ADF, historically a Ugandan rebel group, has been accused of killing thousands of civilians in eastern DRC.

The ADF is considered by experts to be the bloodiest of more than 120 gangs that roam eastern DRC, many of them a legacy of two regional wars a quarter of a century ago.

In 2010, twin bombings in Kampala targeting fans watching the World Cup final left 76 people dead, with al-Shabaab claiming responsibility.

The attack was seen as Dire Revenge for Uganda sending troops to Somalia as part of an African Union

[REGNUM] At least 12 civilians died as a result of the rebel attack on the military base and nearby settlements, said the official representative of the UN Secretary General Stefan Dujarrick in an official address.

" A total of 12 civilians were killed, 15 more were injured and are now receiving treatment at the local hospital. The civilians left the area where the attack took place," he said.

Dujarrik clarified that the attack took place near the village of Uham-Pendé. A UN peacekeeping contingent is now dispatched to the area where the attack took place.

As reported by IA REGNUM , earlier Russia transferred to the UN more than $81 million for peacekeeping missions. It is noted that the allocated funds will go to the work of peacekeepers in Western Sahara, Mali, Sudan, South Sudan, DR Congo, CAR, Somalia, Lebanon, Kosovo, Cyprus and the Golan Heights.

The U.S. and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states condemned "the range of aggressive and dangerous Iranian policies, including the proliferation and direct use of advanced ballistic missiles and Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS-drones). These weapons have been used by Iran

The U.S. and GCC member states agreed that "Iran’s nuclear program is of grave concern, as Iran has taken steps for which it has no civilian need but that would be important to a nuclear weapons program, and also called for Iran to fully cooperate with the ineffective International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)."

The meeting discussed a wide range of regional issues, including the situation in Iraq and Yemen

They further agreed to hold subsequent meetings of this working group to discuss these and other issues within its terms of reference adopted in its inaugural meeting on 3 November 2015.

The operation aims to chase members of ISIS, search and secure the area, according to the statement.

Suspected M23 rebel arrested in Uganda with two guns
[MONITOR.CO.UG] Security officials in Kisoro District in western Uganda have recovered two SMG rifles from a suspected M23 rebel who claimed to be a Burundian national following his arrest on Wednesday.
The M23 rebellion was an armed conflict in North Kivu, Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), that occurred between the March 23 Movement and government forces. The rebellion was part of continued fighting in the region after the formal end of the Second Congo War in 2003. It broke out in 2012 and continued into 2013, when a peace agreement was made among eleven African nations, and the M23 troops surrendered in Uganda.

In April 2012, former National Congress for the Defence of the People (CNDP) soldiers mutinied against the DRC government and the peacekeeping contingent of the United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (MONUSCO). Mutineers formed a rebel group called the March 23 Movement (M23), also known as the Congolese Revolutionary Army. It was composed of former members of the rebel CNDP, and allegedly sponsored by the government of the neighbouring states of Rwanda and Uganda.

The Kisoro Resident District Commissioner (RDC), Mr Peter Mugisha confirmed the arrest of the suspect and the recovery of the two guns but declined to give details of the suspect due to fears that it could jeopardize security investigations.

"The operation was mounted by the police and army officers in Kisoro town around the bus terminal. Two SMG rifles with 30 rounds of ammunition each, were recovered from a suspected M23 rebel who was trying to enter into one of the Kampala-bound buses. The suspect told the security team that he sneaked into Uganda through a mostly non-existent border point around Basanza Sub County in Kisoro District, although he did not mention the motive of smuggling guns into Uganda," Mr Peter Mugisha said.

Security officials were still interrogating the suspect by the time of filing this report, according to the RDC.

The arrest comes one week after M23 rebels raided the Congolese government security bases in Rutshuru District forcing hundreds of Congolese nationals to flee into Uganda through Bunagana border post in Kisoro District.

Mr Mugisha said they had deployed a security team to thoroughly check the luggage of passengers before they are loaded into the buses and other public transport vehicles.

He appealed to residents to report any armed foreigner seen in their communities to the security officials and also be vigilant.

"Because of the kabooms in Kampala, we have also stepped up security at our border posts with Rwanda (Chyanika) and the Democratic Republic of the Congo
Republic of Congo, which is much smaller and much more (for Africa) stable. DRC gave the world Patrice Lumumba and Joseph Mobutu, followed by years of tedious civil war. Its principle industry seems to be the production of corpses. With a population of about 74 million it has lots of raw material...
at Bunagana to ensure that wrong elements do not enter our country undetected," Mr Mugisha said.

"We coordinate with Iran on Afghanistan and Syria, and we can cooperate on Iraq," Cavusoglu said at the presser held by the two parties.

It is the first visit of Cavusoglu to Iran after Amirabdollahian took office as Iranian Foreign Minister.

The two ministers stressed the strengthening of their countries’ economic and trade relations. "Iran and Turkey’s relations are historical, and we are working to strengthen relations between the two countries," Amirabdollahian noted.

Earlier, the Ottoman Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement that during the visit, all aspects of bilateral relations will be discussed, as well as an exchange of views on regional and international issues.

Group of 225 Migrants Apprehended in West Texas Border Town
[Breitbart] Del Rio Sector Border Patrol agents apprehended a large group of migrants who illegally crossed near Eagle Pass, Texas. The group of 250 is part of an increasing number of migrants apprehended in the Eagle Pass Station area of responsibility.

“The station is averaging over 500 apprehensions per day so far this month, making Eagle Pass the new hot spot for Del Rio Sector,” Del Rio Sector Border Patrol officials tweeted. “We continue to adjust operations with our constant focus on national security.”

Border Patrol officials previously stated that human smugglers utilize large groups, like this group of 250 migrants, to tie up law enforcement assets in the area in order to run drugs or so-called “high-value” migrants into the U.S.

In September, Haitian migrants make the Del Rio Sector and the city of Del Rio, Texas, the new ground zero of human smuggling activity along the U.S.-Mexico Border. Del Rio Sector officials say that with 500 migrants being apprehended per day, Eagle Pass is now that center of activity.

Over the weekend, Eagle Pass Station agents apprehended more than 1,600 migrants.

During the month of October, the first month of the new fiscal year, Del Rio Sector agents apprehended 28,073 migrants, Breitbart Texas reported. This represents an apprehension rate of about 900 migrants per day. Now, Eagle Pass Station agents alone are apprehended about 500 per day.

These apprehensions are part of the nearly 160,000 migrant apprehensions in October detailed in a leaked Border Patrol document reviewed by Breitbart. This is up by 129 percent from the previous October report.

A source within U.S. Customs and Border Protection speaking to Breitbart under the condition of anonymity said that of the more than 158,000 migrants apprehended in October, only 59,000 were returned to Mexico under the Title 42 coronavirus protection protocol put in place by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention under the Trump administration.

Nearly 100,000 migrants required longer detention in temporary holding facilities while awaiting processing for delayed removal under the order or in the case of more than 60,000 migrants, release into the United States.

Venezuelan Migrant Apprehensions at Border Up 9000 Percent

[Breitbart] Breitbart Texas reviewed preliminary arrest data indicating some migrant demographics encountered in October have increased upwards of 9,000 percent when compared to October 2020. The documents were provided by a source within Customs and Border Protection (CBP) not authorized to speak to media.

CBP does not normally release these data and instead will combine migrant arrests of citizens outside Mexico and northern triangle Central American countries as “Other.”

In October, nearly 8,000 Brazilian nationals were arrested, a more than 4,000 percent increase over last October. More than 13,000 Venezuelan nationals were arrested representing a 9,000 percent increase over the same period. More than 9,000 Nicaraguans were encountered, marking an increase of 3,500 percent.

A total of 30,537 migrants were apprehended from these three countries in October. Nearly half were single adults. More than 15,000 were members of family units and less than 400 were unaccompanied minors.

As for the Venezuelan nationals, many moved to neighboring Colombia and other third countries before heading to the United States.

The Border Patrol is frequently encountering large groups from Venezuela, Nicaragua, and Brazil in rural West Texas. Groups nearly 200 have become the norm near Eagle Pass.

The spike in arrests of migrants from outside the Northern Triangle countries, according to the source, demonstrates the likelihood that pull factors caused by reduced deportations are having a greater influence than problems in home countries.

The source says the increase in migrant arrests from Venezuela, Brazil, and Nicaragua threaten to add to an already untenable situation along the southern border.

#1  What's the make-up of these invaders? How many countries are represented by these illegal border crossers. There can't be that many countries in the world where these illegals are from that require asylum in the U.S. unless you count most of the Arab countries, UK, Germany, France, Australia, Italy,... We need to get back to sanity.

Hundreds of leishmaniasis cases in Syria's Hasakah
[NPASYRIA] The town of Tel Tamr in the countryside of Hasakah, northeastern Syria, records dozens of cases of leishmaniasis daily, and it is expected that the number of infected cases will increase.
War is Hell, in small ways as well as the obvious large ones.
Hanouf Ibrahim, a nurse supervising the treatment of leishmaniasis cases at Martyr Legarin Hospital in the town of Tel Tamr, said they receive approximately 300 new cases of leishmaniasis every week.

Hospital management has set Sunday and Wednesday for leishmaniasis patients, to provide them with free doses of treatment, as it receives leishmaniasis patients standing since the early hours of the morning and until the end of the day.

The nurse expected that the number of infected people would increase even more during the coming period due to the lack of knowledge of the nature of the disease because the symptoms appear gradually.

The Autonomous Administration’s Martyr Legarin Hospital is the only destination for leishmaniasis patients in the town and provides its services free of charge.

The number of people infected with leishmaniasis since early August has exceeded 2,200 cases in the Tel Tamr area alone, according to the hospital records.

Muhammad Othman, an official in the dispensary of the village of al-Ghurra near Mount Abdulaziz, southwest of Hasakah, said, during the last period they received more than 1,200 cases of leishmaniasis.

Leishmaniasis is caused by infection with leishmania parasites, which are spread by sand fly bites, and can cause painful ulcers of the skin, mouth, or nose.

Patients need an average of eight doses of treatment until recovery, but some cases sometimes need more or less doses, depending on the immunity and the delay in treatment.

Local doctors warn of common folk remedies that do not lead to a complete recovery and may cause risks to the patient.

What is striking about the cases, according to the treatment supervisors, is that more than one spot was injured in the face or hand, and children are the most affected group.

Russian foreign minister makes diplomatic correspondence public
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Rusvesna] Paris and Berlin opposed the inclusion of a clause on the need to establish a direct dialogue between Kiev and the Republics of Donbass in the final document of the proposed meeting in the Normandy format.

This follows from the correspondence between Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and his French and German counterparts Jean-Yves Le Drian and Heiko Maas, published by the Russian Foreign Ministry.

"To prevent further speculation, the Russian Foreign Ministry decided to publicize the primary sources and publish the diplomatic correspondence between Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and the heads of the German and French foreign ministries Heiko Maas and Jean-Yves Le Drian," the statement said.

In his first letter dated October 29, 2021, Lavrov informs his colleagues that he would like to reaffirm the importance of continuing joint efforts within the framework of the Normandy format to help resolve the conflict in Donbas.

"I believe that our possible meeting, the convening of which is now much talked about, should be well prepared, including the advance development of a detailed joint final statement with specific recommendations to Ukraine and certain areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions as parties to the conflict," Lavrov wrote and sent the Russian draft "A document that, as we see it, reflects the realities and main objectives of the peace process."

As indicated in the response of Maas and Le Drian, the text "contains provisions that will undoubtedly not find support among the countries of the Normandy format, including the establishment of a direct dialogue between Kiev, Donetsk and Luhansk."

In the next letter, dated November 6, Lavrov noted that he had received a response from his colleagues to the proposals of October 29 and was disappointed with them.

"Your statement of rejection of direct dialogue between Kiev, Donetsk and Lugansk discredits the co-authorship of the leaders of Germany and France on the document dated February 12, 2015 (Minsk agreements - RV)," the Foreign Minister stressed.

In the last letter sent on November 16, the Russian Foreign Minister said that Moscow is increasingly faced with a distortion of Russia's position and its role in resolving the internal Ukrainian conflict.

"Unfortunately, your joint statement 'In support of Ukraine,' made in Brussels on November 15 following a meeting with Foreign Minister D. Kuleba, was no exception. In it, you threatened us with some "consequences" for the alleged attempts to undermine the territorial integrity of Ukraine, accused us of "yet another refusal" to participate in the Normandy format ministerial meeting," the Russian Foreign Minister wrote. And he added that he was forced to take an unconventional step: to make the correspondence public.

The head of the Russian delegation warned at the OSCE forum against a military solution to the conflict in Donbass.

[VK] The Kiev version of the military solution to the conflict in Donbass may lead to the collapse of the Ukrainian statehood. Nobody is interested in this, Konstantin Gavrilov, head of the Russian delegation at the talks in Vienna on military security and arms control, issued such a warning on Wednesday at a meeting of the OSCE Forum for Security Cooperation.

Gavrilov expressed confidence that the degradation of the situation in Donbass is due to the fault of the Ukrainian authorities and is "used by the Western" masters "of Kiev to put pressure on the Russian Federation, and absurd arguments are presented in favor of the mythical" Russian threat "to the sovereignty of Ukraine.

He also called the unscheduled NATO and US exercises in the Black Sea "reconnaissance combat." Against this background, the Russian diplomat considered it unnecessary to comment on the propaganda explanations of the Western countries for such a demonstration of force, which no longer surprises Russia.

ISIS claims killing government-backed militias in Syria's Deir ez-Zor
[NPASYRIA] On Wednesday, the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. organization (ISIS) claimed the responsibility for killing 16 members of the Syrian government-backed National Defense Forces (NDF) in the al-Masrab desert in the western countryside of Deir ez-Zor, east Syria.

ISIS murderous Moslems ambushed a patrol of the NDF on November 13 and killed 16 of them, the Amaq News Agency, which is close to ISIS, said.

Among the dead was Abdussattar al-Sha’eiti, commander of the Lions of the East Army (Arabic: Usud al-Sharqiya) of the government forces, who came from the town of al-Kishkiyah in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, a source, who declined to be named, said at the time.

The attack was carried out by bombs targeting one of the vehicles of the faction.

ISIS, through media close to it, said the reason for the attack was the participation of the Usud al-Sharqiya in the fighting against it in the areas of Deir ez-Zor.

On November 6, a leader of an Iranian-backed armed faction was killed as his vehicle was attacked near al-Tebni town in the western countryside of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria.

On October 4, ISIS murderous Moslems killed five members of the Iranian-backed factions in the Syrian Badia in the western countryside of Deir ez-Zor, and captured others.

On August 21, five murderous Moslems of Iranian-backed factions were killed and eight others were captured in an ISIS ambush in the town of al-Duwair, east of Deir ez-Zor.

Since the eruption of the events in Syria in 2011, Iran
...The nation is noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence...
has officially announced its support to the Syrian government and sent its militias to support government forces in their war against factions of the Syrian opposition.

Iran supported and formed military factions, which are working to fulfill Iran’s ambition in Syria, the most prominent of these factions are National Defense Forces (NDF), Liwa Fatemiyoun, Hashemiyoun and Liwa Zainebiyoun.

Iran continues the process of recruiting Syrian murderous Moslems within the ranks of factions affiliated with it through attracting them by offers, and extorting the deteriorating economic conditions that Syria is witnessing.

There are about 30 recruiting centers deploying in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, west of the Euphrates River, most of them were houses belonging to residents that were seized by Iranian-backed factions under the pretext that their owners are residing in areas held by either Syrian Democratic Forces or opposition factions.

AFRICOM: Withdrawal of Mercenaries Major Step for Libya
[LIBYAREVIEW] The United States Africa Command (AFRICOM), renewed its call for the withdrawal of all mercenaries and foreign forces from Libya. It stressed that this would be a major step towards ensuring the stability of the country, according to several media outlets on Tuesday."We support diplomatic efforts to help ensure that Presidential and Parliamentary elections take place on December 24," AFRICOM said.

"We continue to work to degrade terrorist groups that pose threats not only to Libyan regional security, but also to the United States, and Europe," it added.

Earlier in November, AFRICOM announced its support for a political solution in Libya, and the withdrawal of all foreign forces and mercenaries.

In a statement, AFRICOM reiterated its support for the US Department of State’s efforts aiming to ensure the holding of the upcoming Presidential elections in Libya on 24 December. The elections are seen as an essential step towards normality, after nearly a decade of war affecting the country.

Regarding ’IS’ published photos, showing its members in the Libyan desert in mid-October, AFRICOM confirmed that it will continue its work to weaken the capacity of all terrorist groups in the country. It stated that these not only pose a threat to regional security but also affect the United States and Europe.

Notably, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) announced that a batch of 140 Syrian mercenaries left Libya for Syria, via The Sick Man of Europe Turkey

on Tuesday.
Finally allowed by their masters to decamp? Good. Maybe they’ll even get their promised pay.
According to SOHR sources, the returning mercenaries belong to the Sultan Murad and al-Hamza militias, as well as various other groups.

On 2 November, about 150 mercenaries were sent to Libya through Turkey, after the resumption of the mercenary exchange process, the SOHR said.

It said on 10 October a new batch of about 100 Syrian mercenaries who had been sent to Libya, arrived in Syria through Turkey. The batch comprised fighters who were transported to Libya in 2019, SOHR claimed. Accordingly, the total number of mercenaries returned to Syria in less than a week had risen to nearly 520.

18-year-old charged with fatal shooting of Chinese university student in Chicago

[THEPOSTMILLENNIAL] Police on Friday announced that they have charged an 18-year-old with murder in the fatal shooting of a Chinese student near the campus of University of reliably Democrat Chicago, aka The Windy City or Mobtown
...home of Al Capone, the Chicago Black Sox, a succession of Daleys, Barak Obama, and Rahm Emmanuel...
last week.

Deputy Chief of Detectives Rahman Muhammad said that Shaoxiong "Dennis" Zheng, 24, was standing on a Hyde Park neighborhood sidewalk on November 9, when Alton Spann of Chicago approached the Zheng and robbed him at gunpoint before shooting him in the torso and fleeing, according to ABC News.

Surveillance cameras reportedly captured Spann speeding away in a black Ford Mustang.

Police were able to track the vehicle using footage from the city's surveillance camera system, private residences, and the school's cameras, where they later determined that the car had been stolen in the suburb of Markham on November 3.

Spann was spotted on the North Side of Chicago on November 10, carrying two guns and a key FOB that belonged to the Mustang, Muhammad said.

"The firearms was tested by the CPD lab and (one of them) was confirmed to be the gun used to kill Mr. Zheng," he stated.

Police were also able to recover a video of Spann selling some of Zheng's belongings at a cellphone store.

Chicago Police Superintendent David Brown said at a news conference on Friday that Spann has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder, armed robbery and two counts of unlawful use of a weapon.

The activity of the CRS is rarely discussed, but essentially the agency is authorized to reach into any court proceeding, local, state or federal, and modify/guide the proceedings under the auspices of maintaining national racial harmony."

Imagine then a superseding, directed verdict of guiltyu to promote racial harmony. The footprint of the Imperial Presidency revealed?

#7  Judge Schroeder appears to be taking the highly unusual step of waiting for the verdict before he rules on the mistrial motion.

Which seems to indicate he's hoping (praying?) the jury acquits, but will declare a mistrial if they instead are hung by s.t. like 10-2.

What will our Democrat Armed Revolutionary Wing do in that case? Nationwide festivities?

What will Ferret and Brandon do them? What "civil rights" charges will be ginned up?

Will their Stasi start to move in on gun owners nationally?

#9  Not the Bee. For real:

BREAKING

MSNBC producer stalks jury bus and runs red light. Claims he was instructed to follow the jury bus; gets ticketed for traffic violation -- it's now under investigation.

Judge Schroeder says no one from MSNBC will be allowed in the courthouse for he rest of the trial.

#10  Are Ferret's S[tasi]-men now coordinating with their media lackeys to stalk the jurors?

More seek & leak tricks that result in faux "news" + political persecution?

Or are they moving beyond this, taking it to the next level, with "direct action" against "white supremacist" jurors?

Front) increased prices of fuel derivatives in Idlib city for the second time within a week as Ottoman Turkish lira (TRY) dropped against the USD in a new record low.

According to Lira website, Ottoman Turkish lira dropped to 10,50 against the USD, while one TRY equals 345 Syrian Pounds.

One liter of top-tier imported gasoline has come up to 9.14 TRY (3,150 SYP) and one liter of top-tier imported diesel costs 8.50 TRY (2,900 SYP).

One liter of second quality imported diesel has come up to 6,48 TRY (2,250 SYP) and one liter of first filtered diesel has come up to 5,15 TRY (1,800 SYP).

The prices of one gas cylinder hiked to 127,5 TRY (43,000 SYP).

Watad Petroleum company, set up two years ago by the Salvation Government (the civil wing of HTS), monopolizes the fuels imported to Idlib city which is completely controlled by HTS.

In mid-November, Watad Petroleum increased the prices of oil derivatives in northwest Syria shortly after it had already surged their prices, a move that caused a widespread public contempt and rage in northwest Syria.

Watad Petroleum claimed that hikes in fuel prices and gas cylinder is because the Ottoman Turkish lira tumbled against the USD.

What I, the special correspondent of "KP" had more than a year ago, fit into one newspaper spread, the investigators of Bellingcat managed to stretch it into two parts. And they actually confirmed the version of the Russian special services, which was first announced on the pages of Komsomolskaya Pravda. The British newspaper, which is associated with Western intelligence services, finally told what happened in Minsk last summer.

Casualties, wounded reported among Azerbaijani, Armenian soldiers
[NPASYRIA] On Wednesday, Azerbaijan announced the killing of seven of its soldiers during battles against the Armenian soldiers near the disputed Nagorno-Karabakh enclave.

Azerbaijan Defense Ministry said, in a statement, that ten other soldiers were maimed during the battles.

This battles are the fiercest since the last year war between Armenia and Azerbaijan has ended with the latter taking control over the enclave.

"Fatalities and maimed" among Armenian forces were reported and Azeri forces had captured several Armenian troops as well as "two military positions," La Belle France Press cited Armenia’s defense ministry as saying yesterday.

The Armenian forces have lost control over two military posts.

Yerevan announced a truce with her opponent, Baku, after Russian mediation.

Meanwhile,
...back at the alley, Slats grabbed for his rosco...
Defense Minister of the Russia, Sergei Shoigu, made two separate phone calls, yesterday, with his Azerbaijani and Armenian counterparts calling on them to stop actions provoking further escalation of the situation between the two countries.

Nagorno-Karabakh, known as Artsakh, is a mountainous region officially recognized as part of Azerbaijan, though it has a predominately Armenian population and is a de facto independent country which calls itself the Republic of Artsakh. The last year fighting in late September 2020 is the fiercest since the 1990s, after the collapse of the Soviet Union and Artsakh’s declaration of its autonomy from Azerbaijan.

Labeling the electoral battle as "salvation," the LF leader said he is counting on the electoral juncture.

"We must start from the point of building the state and it is necessary to work as statesmen and to form a government that would take serious decisions," Geagea added.

Commenting on the Tayyouneh-Ain al-Remmaneh incidents, the LF leader reiterated that his party "does not have a military organization."

Direct Translation via Google Translation. Edited.
[REGNUM] About 150 Mali officials, including Acting Prime Minister Chogel Kokalla Maig , have been added to the Economic Community of West African Countries (ECOWAS) sanctions list. This was reported on November 17 by the Agence France-Presse agency with reference to the relevant document.

It is noted that almost all members of the Malian government were under sanctions. At the same time, the acting President of Mali, Assimi Goita, was not included in the specified list.

As reported by IA REGNUM , on October 25, the Mali authorities declared persona non grata and announced the expulsion from the country of the special representative of ECOWAS Hamid Boli for "actions incompatible with his status."

[Breitbart] US Air Force Employee Handed Over Couple's Purchase Records, Leading to $300,000 Tax Bill from Germans

The German tax collectors wanted to know it all: commissary expenditures, on-base gasoline purchases, visits to a Ramstein Air Base fitness center, discounted airline flights to the United States.

And special agent Dirk Roessling, a German employee of the U.S. Air Force's Office of Special Investigations at Ramstein, obliged in a five-page report that ended up being used against a U.S. military-affiliated family in tax court.

Geert Vanden Bossche Was Right, The World's Most Vaccinated Country Cancels Christmas Due to Massive Rise in COVID-19 Infections
[ConservativeTreehouse] The most vaccinated population in the world exists on Gibraltar, a British Overseas Territory located at the southern end of Spain. The average number of vaccinations is 2.79 per person for all residents.

However, even with that level of vaccination density, or perhaps —more likely— because of that level of vaccination density, the narrow peninsula is experiencing a massive rise in COVID-19 infections. As a result, the Gibraltar government announced today that all Christmas assemblies must be stopped, and citizens must re-evaluate their intent to gather in celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ.
Nice bar chart in article.
