Maybe Abu Hassan 600 like the rapper Andre 3000.
I don't think there is any Islamic significance to the number 600. Anybody know differently?

Could 600 be their cumulative weight? Perhaps in kilos… For austere Muslim scholars, their shirt buttons sure are straining across their muscular, trained-warrior abdomens. And note that they are sitting in the extra-wide, heavy duty armchairs.
[Rudaw] After a day of intense festivities near Tishreen Dam on the Euphrates River, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) said on Saturday that it lost five fighters while thwarting an attack by Syrian National Army (SNA) militia groups and claimed to have killed 52 from their enemy’s ranks.
"The number of the eliminated Ottoman Turkish occupation mercenaries has risen to 52 during festivities in the vicinity of Tishreen Dam today. This includes several leaders," the SDF’s Manbij Military Council announced in a statement.
"Furthermore, two armored vehicles and one tank belonging to the mercenaries were destroyed. Our forces also seized a significant quantity of weapons and ammunition," it added.
The SNA has been attacking the SDF at Tishreen Dam for more than a week. The dam sits on the Euphrates River, upstream from scores of towns and villages as well as urban centers like Raqqa and downstream from the border town of Kobane. It provides electricity to much of northeast Syria (Rojava). The SDF took control of the facility from ISIS in 2015 with the help of American troops.
The SNA assault has been supported by Ottoman Turkish drones, according to the Manbij Military Council who claimed victory at the end of the day.
"After more than 12 hours of fierce festivities, the mercenaries were forced to flee the area," the statement said.
Earlier on Saturday the SDF announced that five of its fighters were killed in the festivities as The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...a NATO ...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. The conflict began late last month when Turkey-backed opposition militia groups launched an offensive against the SDF in the north of the country, taking control of Shahba and Manbij.
The United States brokered a temporary ceasefire between the warring parties, but the Ottoman Turkish foreign ministry denied agreeing to a truce and said that Ankara does not negotiate with "terrorist organizations."
Turkey considers the People’s Protection Units (YPG), the backbone of the SDF, as the Syrian front for the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) - designated as a terrorist group by Ankara.

Columbia Professor Resigns in Protest After Pro-Hamas Instructor Allowed to Teach Class on Zionism
[PJMedia] International and public affairs adjunct professor at Columbia University, Lawrence Rosenblatt, sent a resignation letter to the school's administration after it had been confirmed that Professor Joseph Massad would teach a class on the "History of the Jewish Enlightenment (Haskala) in 19th century Europe and the development of Zionism."
Massad is a piece of work. On Oct. 8, 2023, the day after the Hamas slaughter of 1,200 Israelis, Massad wrote a column for the Electronic Intifada, saying, "The sight of the Palestinian resistance fighters storming Israeli checkpoints separating Gaza from Israel was astounding, not only to the Israelis but especially to the Palestinian and Arab peoples who came out across the region to march in support of the Palestinians in their battle against their cruel colonizers."
He continued, "No less awesome were the scenes witnessed by millions of jubilant Arabs who spent the day watching the news, of Palestinian fighters from Gaza breaking through Israel’s prison fence or gliding over it by air."
Four of the resolved cases involved the University of California, Los Angeles, where an unruly spring encampment ended in violence and arrests. UCLA received complaints on behalf of both Jewish and pro-Palestinian students that the school had failed to protect them during the encampments, which also recently earned the campus a legal rebuke based on accusations that protesters blocked Jewish students’ access to parts of campus.
An internal antisemitism task force at UCLA also recently found that the school had fostered an antisemitic environment, including as a result of the encampments.

"The incident is still being thoroughly investigated," the Israel Defense Forces said, adding that following initial investigations by the Israeli Air Force and Home Front Command, "some of the conclusions have already been implemented, both regarding interception and early warning."
"No further details regarding aerial defense activities and the alert system can be given due to operational security considerations," the IDF added.
According to an initial IAF probe, several different types of interceptor missiles were launched at the target. Interception attempts were made both above and in the atmosphere.
Israel operates a multi-tiered air defense array, which includes the short-range Iron Dome, the medium-range David’s Sling, and the long-range Arrow system, the latter of which is designed to shoot down ballistic missiles outside the atmosphere.
The interceptors all failed to knock down the missile, which ultimately went kaboom! in a public park in Jaffa, south Tel Aviv, causing damage to nearby homes and wounding several.
Medics said 16 people were lightly injured by shattered glass, including a three-year-old girl, while 14 were bruised while rushing to shelters.
Footage from the park showed a crater where the missile had impacted.
The missile triggered sirens throughout central Israel at 3:44 a.m., sending millions rushing to shelters from their beds, the second time in as many days that a Houthi missile sparked alerts in the center in the middle of the night.

Following the missile attack, Houthi official Hezam al-Asad posted several mocking messages to X, some of them in Hebrew.
Mocking doesn’t work nearly as well when the mocker is running off to hide away from anticipated punishment.
Also Saturday, the IDF said that the IAF intercepted a drone that entered Israeli airspace in southern Israel “from the east,” meaning likely from Yemen. The drone crossed the border via Egypt, a route previously seen with drones launched at Israel by the Iran-backed Houthis. Sirens had sounded in several communities near the border with the Gaza Strip amid the incident and footage showed IAF helicopters shooting down the drone.
[IsraelTimes] Channel 12 reports that the Houthis placed less explosive material and additional fuel in the ballistic missile launched last night for it to have a better chance of reaching Israel while evading detection.
Israel launched several interceptors at the missile but failed to bring it down, resulting in 16 people wounded in the Tel Aviv area.

[IsraelTimes] January attack in Jordan killed three American troops; ‘We consider these arrests in violation of international law,’ says Iranian foreign ministry
Iran has summoned the Swiss ambassador in Tehran, who represents American interests in the country, and a senior Italian diplomat, over the arrest by the US of two Iranian nationals this week, Iranian media reported on Saturday.
“We consider these arrests in violation of international law,” Iranian media quoted the foreign ministry as saying, adding that the Swiss ambassador and the Italian charge d’affaires were asked to pass on Iran’s protest.
US prosecutors charged the two men on Monday with illegally exporting sensitive technology to Iran that they said was used in a January drone attack in Jordan that killed three US service members.
Federal prosecutors in Boston charged Mohammad Abedini, the co-founder of an Iranian-based company, and Mahdi Sadeghi, an employee of Massachusetts-based semiconductor manufacturer Analog Devices ADI.O, with conspiring to violate US export laws.
Prosecutors also charged Abedini, also known as Mohammad Abedininajafabadi,
…if that were my name, I’d shorten it, too…
with providing material support to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps that resulted in death. The US designates the Revolutionary Guards a foreign terrorist organization.
Abedini, a resident of both Switzerland and Iran, was arrested in Milan, Italy, at the request of the US government, which will seek his extradition. Sadeghi, an Iranian-born naturalized American citizen living in Natick, Massachusetts, was also arrested.
“We often cite hypothetical risk when we talk about the dangers of American technologies getting into dangerous hands,” US Attorney Joshua Levy in Massachusetts said. “Unfortunately, in this situation, we are not speculating.”
At a press conference in Boston, Levy said the FBI had been able to trace sophisticated navigation equipment used in the drone to Abedini’s Iranian company, SDRA, which manufactured the navigation system.
Levy said Abedini had used a company in Switzerland as a front to procure American technologies from Sadeghi’s employer including accelerometers and gyroscopes that were then sent to Iran.
During a brief court hearing, Sadeghi was ordered detained pending a further hearing after a prosecutor called him a flight risk. His court-appointed lawyer did not respond to request for comment. A lawyer for Abedini could not be identified.
Court papers do not identify Sadeghi’s employer by name, but Analog Devices in a statement confirmed he worked for the company.
Analog Devices said it was cooperating with law enforcement and was “committed to preventing unauthorized access to and misuse of our products and technology.”
The January 28 drone attack on a US outpost in Jordan called Tower 22, near the Syrian border, was the first deadly strike against American forces since the Israel-Hamas war erupted after Hamas’s October 7 onslaught in southern Israel.
The three Army Reserve soldiers killed in the attack were all from Georgia. They were Sergeant William Jerome Rivers, Specialist Kennedy Ladon Sanders, and Specialist Breonna Alexsondria Moffett.
The White House later said the attack was facilitated by the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, an umbrella organization of hardline Iran-backed militant groups. Iran has denied involvement in the attack.
Following the attack, the US launched a huge counterstrike against 85 sites in Iraq and Syria used by Iran’s Revolutionary Guard and Iranian-backed militia and bolstered Tower 22’s defenses.

On Saturday, the Wall Street Journal published an interview in which Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reiterated his long-standing position that he would not end the war in Gaza, sparked by Hamas ..the braying voice of Islamic Resistance®,... ’s October 7, 2023, massacre, as part of a hostage deal.
Conflicting reports have emerged in recent days about Hamas’s willingness to release some hostages in exchange for a temporary ceasefire, without a guaranteed end to the war; so far, the terror group has refused to do so, leaving talks stalled, as Israel has refused any deal that would leave the Paleostinian terror group in control of Gaza.
Speaking at the Begin Road entrance to the IDF headquarters, Yifat Calderon, cousin of hostage Ofer Calderon and a prominent anti-government activist, slammed Netanyahu’s comment to the US newspaper.
Shay Mozes, nephew of hostage Gadi Mozes, said that even if a deal is reached, protests must continue to ensure "the government of Israel doesn’t find an excuse to scrap an agreement."
If the protests won’t stop, why should the government bother trying to make the protesters happy?
He said the government "pounced on the opportunity" to resume hostilities after last November’s weeklong truce, which saw 105 civilian hostages freed in exchange for a temporary ceasefire and the release of hundreds of Paleostinian security prisoners.
"Hamas said it would stop releasing women and kiddies and continue releasing elderly and slain hostages," Mozes said, adding that the government preferred to "teach Hamas a lesson, thus abandoning the chance to save lives."
A block away, at the Hostage Families Forum’s weekly rally at the so-called Hostages Square in Tel Aviv, speakers reiterated the Forum’s opposition to a deal that wouldn’t release all the hostages at once.
Protests in support of a hostage deal were also held Saturday night in Jerusalem, Ra’anana, Beersheba, Carmei Gat, Modi’in, and various other locales and intersections across the country.

Protests have returned to Kaplan Street in recent weeks to rail against the government’s renewed push to overhaul the judiciary.
A large contingent of Yesh Atid activists was present as well.
A few feet away from the crowd, some two dozen activists held a more stridently left-wing protest, hoisting signs accusing the government of committing genocide in Gaza.

[IsraelTimes] Outdated and underfunded energy sector’s problems further compounded by depleted gas reserves caused by attack on two major pipelines back in February
An energy crisis in Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol... has left its leadership scrambling to find a solution after schools and government institutions across the country were forced to close their doors last week due to widespread power outages that Tehran, in its current state, is ill-equipped to deal with. "Christmas break is early!"
After a summer of blackouts, the energy crisis in the Islamic Theocratic Republic has become exacerbated by harsh winter conditions, and severe cold, snow and air pollution have added to the woes of an energy sector unable to deal with seasonal surges due to years of underinvestment and sanctions.
The New York Times
...which still proudly claims Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize... reported on Saturday, however, that one other factor has contributed to the dire state of the country’s energy supplies — a pair of attacks on major gas pipelines back in February, which were attributed to Israel by the Times.
The attacks disrupted the flow of gas to millions of people across Iran and caused widespread outages across five separate provinces.
Israel did not comment on the blasts at the time, and Iran’s oil minister Javad Owji also appeared hesitant to place blame.
According to the Times, the Iranian government attempted to minimize the impact of the damage caused to the gas pipelines by dipping into emergency gas reserves. While the strategy worked in the short term, preventing disruptions for millions of people, it has left the government with a depleted energy supply that, despite Iran’s vast natural gas and oil reserves, it is struggling to replenish.
Iran’s inability to bounce back from the crisis is due to several problems, the Times stated, including "mismanagement, corruption, and cheap prices that fuel wasteful consumption."
Heavy sanctions placed on Iran by the West over its nuclear program have also led to an inability for the country to modernize its energy sector, analysts told the Times, as it lacks the investors needed to be able to do so.
In 2015, during Iran’s pact with world powers to roll back the program in exchange for sanctions relief, the rial was at 32,000 to $1.
On July 30, the day that Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian, elected on a promise to ease the sanctions, was sworn in and began his term, the rate was 584,000 to $1.
US president-elect Trump, during his first term in office, unilaterally withdrew the US from the nuclear accord in 2018, and imposed a "maximum pressure" campaign of sanctions.
The impact of the rolling power outages already seemed to be felt across Iran’s manufacturing industry, as one engineer at a household appliance production factory told the Times that production costs had already risen as a result of the outages.
Compounding Iran’s problems, the rial fell to its lowest level in history last week, losing more than 10% of its value since Donald Trump ...The tack in the backside of the Democratic Party... won the US presidential election in November.
The rial traded at 777,000 rials to the dollar, traders in Tehran said, down from 703,000 rials on the day Trump won.

[Garowe] The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor... is set to construct a rocket launch facility in Somalia, the Horn of Africa nation's President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud announced on Wednesday, signaling a boost for Ankara's long-range rocket testing program.
Speaking at an event in Mogadishu, Mohamud highlighted the economic benefits of the project, stating it would generate significant employment and revenue. He noted that Somalia's strategic position at the eastern tip of mainland Africa makes it an ideal location for launching rockets toward the Indian Ocean, minimizing risks of debris affecting populated areas or neighboring countries, according to a Bloomberg report from September.
This development aims to elevate Turkey's profile in the global space race, traditionally led by established powers. Although details such as the exact location of the facility were not disclosed by Mohamud, the initiative underscores Turkey's growing technological and diplomatic influence in the region.
"I personally believe that the importance of Somalia hosting a launchpad for Ottoman Turkish satellites is even more significant than the billions of dollars and opportunities that the project will generate," Mohamud stated, emphasizing the geopolitical significance of the venture.
Turkey has been actively expanding its footprint in Somalia over the last decade, not only through defense and infrastructure projects but also with ambitions in hydrocarbon exploration. [Garowe] Somalia pirates are seemingly back to deep waters following the seizure of a Chinese fishing vessel from which they are demanding at least $10 million in ransom, which creates fear within the Indian Ocean waters.

They said the pirates had continued to move the vessel between various locations to avoid detection by the coasties.
Further reports indicate that the vessel and its crew could have been betrayed since two Somali guards were sailing in it. The vessel is registered in Taiwan, a breakaway region of China, and its license is said to have expired.
The EU operation Atalanta reported on December 5 that it had been informed and investigated. The incident was labeled an alleged hijacking and later an armed robbery because the vessel was remaining within Somali coastal waters according to Atalanta.
Armed individuals with AK 47 were sighted in the vessel but no injuries were reported to date. The initial ransom demand was $5 million but the owners had agreed to part with $300000 before it was raised to $1 million.
Atalanta reports that it has documented reports of 20 attacks in 2024 including ones that were not successful in seizing vessels. It however notes that there is an unknown number of unreported/unconfirmed incidents involving dhows and smaller vessels, AP reports.
The hijackers also shared photos on social media of their captives surrounded by gunnies on the ship’s deck. The vessel was first taken to Xaafuun in Puntland..A Somali government official said the vessel was issued a fishing license by Puntland in 2020 before its expiry..

United Nations Special Rapporteurs asked the government of Turkey about "alleged arbitrary detention and forcible return" of Eritrean migrants colonists and the imminent risk of forcible return of an additional group of approximately 50 Eritreans.
The team insisted that the deportations by Turkey violated fundamental principles of human rights and refugee law. Under this, the host nation is not supposed to deport individuals to a country where they are not safe.
The principle was outlined in international law and the Convention Against Torture, which Turkey ratified in 1988 and prohibits deporting individuals to countries where they are at risk of torture or other gross human rights violations.
"Detention in Eritrea places individuals at a heightened risk of torture and inhuman or degrading treatment," the rapporteurs said, adding that many deportees have reportedly been detained or conscripted into military service. Eritrea’s indefinite conscription system has been widely linked to forced labor, sexual violence, and inhumane treatment.
Back at home, the Eritreans who have been deported faced torture and enforced disappearances, the rapporteurs said in their report, which could further expose Turkey's foreign policy.
The UN also condemned conditions at Turkey’s Aydin Repatriation Center, where 50 Eritrean migrants colonists currently remain detained. According to the letter, detainees have reported being beaten by guards, held in metal container cells under conditions of extreme heat, and denied medical care. They also reported a lack of legal representation and contact with their families.
The UN experts urged Turkey to immediately halt deportations to Eritrea, improve conditions for detained migrants colonists, and conduct individual assessments of asylum claims. Turkey’s response has not yet been made public.
The letter was authored by three UN special rapporteurs: Mohammed Abdelsalam Babiker, special rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Eritrea; Gabriella Citroni, chair-rapporteur of the Working Group on Enforced or Involuntary Disappearances; and Gehad Madi, special rapporteur on the human rights of migrants colonists.
[Garowe] Backed by local forces, the Somali National Army (SNA) conducted multiple operations against al-Shabaab ... Somalia's version of the Taliban, functioning as an arm of al-Qaeda... snuffies in central regions, in the latest crackdown geared towards liberating remaining areas that are still under the group’s control.
Mudug region has been the main hot-spot for al-Shabaab operations but the concerted military effort has drastically improved the situation, blocking the snuffies from infiltration the areas that had been liberated, so far.
Military officials in Wisil District said two vehicles loaded with fuel and other supplies were seized, dealing a blow to the krazed killers. Besides enabling them to move around with vehicles, fuel is used in making Improvised Explosive Devices.
The officials added that two individuals were also arrested and are being interrogated to determine the destination of the impounded fuel and supplies in the vehicle. They are being interrogated by the military officials.
Somali National Army has worked closely with local militia to handle al-Shabaab in many parts of the country and the strategy has effectively worked in the past. President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud had declared total war against al-Shabaab.
Besides the local militia, the African Union ...a union consisting of 53 African states, most run by dictators of one flavor or another. The only all-African state not in the AU is Morocco. Established in 2002, the AU is the successor to the Organisation of African Unity (OAU), which was even less successful... Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) troops and the US Africa Command have played a significant role in aiding local troops in responding to al-Shabaab resistance and periodic attacks across Somalia.
In a significant policy shift, the Somali federal government has opted to reintegrate Æthiopian troops into the forthcoming African Union Support and Stabilization Mission in Somalia (AUSSOM), as per diplomatic insiders.
This reversal follows commendations from President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud for Æthiopia's stabilizing efforts in Somalia. The policy change marks the resolution of a year-long diplomatic tension, initiated by Æthiopia's contentious agreement with Somaliland ...Republic of Somaliland is an unrecognised sovereign state in the Horn of Africa, recognised internationally as a de jure part of Somalia. It is located in the southern coast of the Gulf of Aden with approximately 5.7 million residents as of 2021. The capital and largest city is Hargeisa. The government regards itself as the successor state to British Somaliland, which united from 1960 to 1991 with the Trust Territory of Somaliland (the former Italian Somaliland) to form the Somali Republic. Under the Siad Barre regime, Somaliadestroyed ninety percent of Hargeisa Per international law, once you're in, you gotta stay in, no matter how bad it smells.... to potentially set up a naval base in return for acknowledging Somaliland's independence, an arrangement Somalia considered an affront to its territorial integrity.
[Garowe] al-Shabaab ... al-Qaeda's tentacle in East Africa... faceless myrmidons launched a pre-dawn assault on a Somali military base in Hawadley, Middle Shabelle region, early Friday, beginning with a suicide car kaboom followed by heavy fighting.
The al-Qaeda-linked group claimed to have killed 21 soldiers, among them several officers, in the attack, although these claims couldn't be independently verified due to disrupted communications in the area.
Al-Shabaab also stated they captured soldiers and took military equipment. Somali government officials have not yet commented on the specifics of the attack or confirmed any casualties.
The major attack is part of an ongoing series of violent mostly peaceful actions by al-Shabaab against government forces, highlighting the persistent security issues in the region. Hawadley previously saw a similar attack in January 2023, resulting in the death of Colonel Abshir Mohamud Mohammed Shataqey and other soldiers.
The silence from Somali officials and the communication blackout continue to obscure a clear picture of the situation on the ground in Hawadley, approximately 60 kilometers north of Mogadishu, the Somali capital.

"The AfD has zero political power and has always had zero political power, thus it bears zero responsibility for the state of the country."
Of course they don't when the establishment hack parties pull whatever parliamentary trick in the book to prevent the AfD getting any power.
AfD came in second place in Thuringia and Saxony elections, if I recall correctly. I suppose 20+% of the electorate just love to vote for "a cabal of thuggish anti-freedom, anti-Western Civilization [sic]...grifters." That fits the establishment political parties in Germany to a T.

[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] A box full of books detailing the work of Prince Andrew’s business initiative in China was left dumped outside the £1 million property that served as a headquarters for alleged Chinese spy Yang Tengbo.
One of the books was a hard-backed collection of photographs showing Andrew meeting dozens of Chinese businessmen as part of his Dragons’ Den-style initiative, Pitch@Palace.
The first photograph in the 87-page dossier showed the Duke of York posing with suspected spook Yang, who has been banned from entering the UK on national security grounds.
The new owner of the suburban house – which the MoS last week revealed was used as a base by Yang’s firm – said he found the material when he moved in.
Yesterday it was revealed that Andrew boasted of obtaining an account with the state-owned Bank Of China 17 years ago. In a leaked email, the Duke wrote: ‘Normally you have to present yourself in person but they will make an exception for me.’
...which should have been a hint to him that someone was trying to turn him into a tool. Royal princes ought to have just a tiny hint of situational awareness.
On Monday, Mr Yang agreed to the lifting of a court order banning his identification. The 50-year-old businessman, described as a 'close confidante' of the Duke of York, is suspected by the security services of being associated with the United Front Work Department [UFWD] – the secretive arm of the Chinese government that organises Beijing's cultural influences overseas.
He was first stopped from entering the UK under counter-terror laws in 2021 and his devices were seized, with documents retrieved later revealing his links to Andrew.
He was taken off a flight to London in 2023, with the then-home secretary Suella Braverman upholding the decision to cancel his residency rights in March of that year because it would be 'conducive to the public good.'
Mr Yang has said allegations he is a spy are 'ill-founded' and 'entirely untrue', adding: 'The political climate has changed, and unfortunately, I have fallen victim to this.
'When relations are good, and Chinese investment is sought, I am welcome in the UK. When relations sour, an anti-China stance is taken, and I am excluded.'

[FoxNews] Chief of Department Jeffrey Maddrey has been accused of sexually harassing a fellow NYPD member.
The NYPD’s highest-ranking uniformed police officer resigned abruptly Friday amid bombshell allegations he demanded sexual favors from his subordinates on the force, the latest scandal to rock the NYPD and the Adams administration.
The sudden resignation of Chief of Department Jeffrey Maddrey came just hours before Lt. Quathisha Epps, who holds an administrative post in Maddrey’s office, filed a sexual harassment complaint against him with the state Division of Human Rights, according to documents obtained by Fox News Digital.
Epps claims Maddrey "engaged in a quid pro quo sexual harassment" by coercing her into performing unwanted sexual favors in exchange for overtime opportunities in the workplace.
The complaint also alleges Maddrey forced Epps to "take care" of another female officer, "to subject that officer to unwanted sexual advances and conduct, including sexual intercourse, within the workplace."
Epps also accuses Maddrey, who is married, of maintaining an inappropriate sexual relationship with another female detective, subjecting Epps to "further sexually offensive conduct in person and through her cellular phone."
The NYPD said in a press release Saturday morning that NYPD Chief of Patrol John Chell had taken the position of interim chief of department Friday night and that Philip Rivera is now interim chief of patrol.
[RedState] As I previously reported, among the stories about the mysterious drones in New Jersey, there was a concerning story about a bunch of drones following a Coast Guard vessel off of the Garden State.
But now the word is that Coast Guard members aren't too happy with what the White House said in dismissing their experience. One of the members of the crew is speaking out and refuting what the White House is saying about the drones.
The Coast Guard member spoke exclusively to the NY Post and described what they saw. He said they were looking for drones, but the drones "found us." He said there were possibly as many as 30.
The drones "appeared out of nowhere" at about 9 p.m., and followed the boat for approximately 15 minutes, he said. When the vessel shifted course, so too did the drones.
"I’m terrible with measurements, but [the swarm] was about 80 to 100 feet above us. They had four propellers. Seven feet across. The flashing lights, like you’ve seen. The festive green, red, and white lights."
He said the drones kept pace with the boat at about 20 miles per hour.
The drones then reportedly climbed 100 feet higher, turned toward shore, and went out of sight.
White House NSC spokesperson John Kirby dismissed the drone incidents in general and this particular incident.
[FoxNews] The suspect drove his truck 'several hundred yards' into the mall before being fatally shot by police
At least five people were injured, and a suspect was killed, after a man drove his pickup truck through the glass doors of a J.C. Penney in a mall in Texas, police said.
The incident happened on Saturday evening, just days before Christmas, at the Killeen Mall in Killeen, Texas – which is about 70 miles north of Austin.
In a press conference on Saturday evening, Texas Department of Public Safety Sgt. Bryan Washko said that the truck was driven "several hundred yards" through the entrance of the J.C. Penney store.
Startled shoppers were injured as the driver was "actively running people over" and a fifth went to the hospital on their own, Sergeant Washko said. Those injured ranged from 6 to 75 years old, he said.
The incident unfolded as authorities noticed that the suspect, who has not been identified, was seen "driving erratically," and police attempted to pull him over.
Instead of stopping, the driver got off the highway, drove to the parking lot of the Killeen Mall and smashed his car through the doors of the J.C. Penney, Sergeant Washko said.
The man driving the truck was fatally shot by law enforcement, authorities said.
"There were officers from D.P.S., the Killeen Police Department and three other agencies that engaged in gunfire to eliminate this threat to the community," Sergeant Washko said.
Fox News Digital has reached out to the Killeen Police Department for comment.
[Breitbart] "There is something profoundly wrong," Tucker Carlson said when discussing the latest actions of Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA), who soured many conservative allies after initially offering a 1,547-page spending bonanza and ultimately handing the Democrats a win.
Eduardo Neret, a former producer for Carlson and a conservative commentator, brought up the disastrous spending bill negotiated by Johnson, which essentially thrust Johnson’s future Speakership in the air.
"On the eve of Trump’s inauguration, right before Christmas, he tried ... to shove through a 1,500 page spending bill that would have given Chuck Schumer all of the leverage with the debt ceiling going into next year," Neret said.
"I mean, there was a lot more than that in the bill, but, I mean, I guess the point is, like, what’s up with that?" he asked.
"There’s something profoundly wrong," Carlson began, noting that on top of that, Johnson’s number one priority, seemingly, has been funding Ukraine.
"I don’t understand it exactly, but I watched him make the number one priority of his Speakership funding Ukraine without any audit at all, at a time when the U.S. border was open, the United States itself was being invaded, and his priority was protecting the borders of a country whose language he doesn’t speak, he knows nothing about; it’s not America," Carlson continued, asserting that it is "not the only country that he’s — whose interest he’s put above ours."
Carlson noted that such behavior could be described as treasonous.
"And so, you know, I don’t overstate it. I think that’s a — it’s a kind of treason, yeah, and it’s very common in Washington," he explained, clarifying that Johnson is far from the only politician in D.C. who has operated that way.
"He’s not the only one, but I, you know, once you see that, then you lose all faith in a man," he said of the Speaker, lauding Elon Musk for blasting the original deal on social media and essentially stopping it.
"I wasn’t shocked by what happened, but I was very pleased to see Elon Musk just, just basically stop it singlehandedly, which is amazing," he added:

I'm curious: there are no drone reports when it is a media rage. ‘There Is Something Profoundly Wrong'. Over the years, 8-10 Trillion dollars were spent on Black ops or even rouge black ops. So Chuck Schumer proposes more restrictions on freedom for us. Provoke fear, then provide control.

The problem is that the job requires someone who knows how to wheel and deal, and knows all the pressure points of the various parties — a closer. So no matter how wonderful the young guys and the new guys coming in for the next session might be, they won’t be able to do what is an entirely thankless job. I suspect that ot be successful it takes at least 5-10 years of orienting and observing.

I am getting sick and tired of people on both sides saying this or that is treason.
The Constitution defines treason as:
Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.
[FederalNewsNetwork] The Senate passed the Social Security Fairness Act to deliver higher Social Security benefits to millions of public sector retirees.
The bill now heads to President Joe Biden's desk for a signature after the Senate cleared the legislation just after midnight on Saturday by a vote of 70-26.
The House previously passed the bill in November.
-------------------------------
This will raise the social security payments to hundreds of thousands of retired State and Federal retirees. A typical beneficiary of this law is a person who put in 20 years for the military then retired from the military and did almost the same as their last military job by being a contractor for 10 more years. A lot of these people will be getting $500-1500 more each month from social security.

[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] The Saudi doctor who killed five people by ploughing his BMW into a Christmas market vowed to slaughter '20 Germans' last year.
German police were warned about 'unstable' Dr Taleb Al-Abdulmohsen in September last year, but did nothing more than take screenshots of his twisted online threats.
The 50-year-old psychiatrist rammed his SUV into a packed market in the town of Magdeburg on Friday night, leaving a nine-year-old boy and four adults dead and injuring more than 200 people, 40 of them critically.
Footage showed scenes of horror with the car cutting through families who barely had time to turn their heads.
A woman reported his online threat, made in Arabic, to Berlin police, as well as the German migration authorities. But no action was taken. Last night she said Al-Abdulmohsen 'openly threatened the lives of Germans but police didn't arrest him or take any action. This could have been prevented if the police had done their job properly.'
Al-Abdulmohsen had bypassed security bollards and used an emergency corridor – which should have been blocked for anything other than ambulances and police vehicles – to enter the market. He launched his attack just after 7pm local time in Germany, as thousands of shoppers gathered at the centre of Magdeburg. Driving slowly at first, the blue SUV turned in to an alleyway where hundreds of shoppers were browsing stalls and sipping mulled wine.
He then pointed his vehicle directly at the crowd and ploughed forward. As shoppers fled in panic, the driver turned another corner and drove out of the market. An off-duty policeman pursued the BMW until he came to a halt outside Magdeburg shopping centre, where he was arrested at gunpoint by armed officers.
As the five deaths were confirmed in a sombre press conference last night, details emerged of the youngest victim, who was nine, and was out shopping with his mother.
As Germany grieved last night, anger was also boiling up, with signs that troublesome days lie ahead. More than 1,000 far-Right thugs descended on Magdeburg to protest against the attack, with anger visible on their faces. Although no violence broke out, there were fears that more such protests lay ahead. far-Right thugs? anger visible? Someone needs a re-education beating
As Al-Abdulmohsen was being questioned, it was revealed that he was on drugs during the attack, but police did not give more details. Authorities said that his mental and physical states were being examined. The prosecutor said that the medic's grievance about how Germany was treating Saudi dissident asylum seekers was part of the investigation as a possible motive.
Although his Saudi background and a vehicle attack on a Christian event had all the signs of an Islamist terror attack, Al-Abdulmohsen's background has shown that it was 'unusual and contradictory'.
Peter Neumann, professor of security studies at King's College, London, said: 'He is against Islam, he supports [the Right-wing] AfD party, he is not an Isis supporter, but he did an attack like an Isis terrorist. So it is a bit of a cliché to say it, but this all may suggest mental health issues.'
There were also claims made on social media that the Saudis had warned the German authorities at least three times about Al-Abdulmohsen, but were ignored.
But Professor Neumann said that the claims could be part of a Saudi disinformation campaign, as Al-Abdulmohsen was a staunch critic of the country's rulers.
Al-Abdulmohsen was a high-profile Saudi ex-Muslim who openly made his threats on social media where he endorsed far-Right leaders such as Britain's Tommy Robinson. His warning of a killing spree last year followed a dispute with a German refuge for atheist asylum seekers. He claimed staff there sexually assaulted a number of Saudi women.
In a tweet he said: 'Would you blame me if I randomly killed 20 Germans because of what Germany is doing against the Saudis?'
And in August this year, he posted in Arabic: 'I assure you that if Germany wants a war, we will fight it. If Germany wants to kill us, we will slaughter them, die, or go to prison with pride.
'Because we have exhausted all peaceful means and all we have received from the police, state security, the prosecution, the judiciary, and the Ministry of the Interior is more crimes against us. Peace is of no use with them.'
He also accused the country of allowing too many Syrian terrorists to enter the country.
He tweeted: 'Germany's goal has become clear: to spread Islam in Europe. They are attacking political movements critical of Islam by infiltrating them with corrupt people, including addicts, prostitutes, and thieves, in order to corrupt the movement from within.'
We're with Peter Neumann and are also very skeptical of Taleb al-Abdulmohsen being Islamophobic.
Saudi political commentator Salman Al-Ansari posted a thread about the alleged killer, noting that he fled Saudi Arabia in 2006 after being accused of rape and implicated in serious crimes. Saudi Arabia tried to extradite him from Germany, but Germany denied the request, citing "human rights concerns."

Iranian/German entrepreneur Marai Salmassi posted a very interesting video to X suggesting the same scenario:
Despite claims made by the German press, Taleb Al Abdulmohsen is not an ex-Muslim atheist, nor is he a fan of the AfD or Elon Musk. While he may have spread this misinformation himself, it aligns with the practice of Taqqiye, an Islamic doctrine that permits lying and deception… pic.twitter.com/tU2tRS51Lr
… permits lying and deception to advance Islamic objectives.
In reality, he is a radical Shia Muslim, as evidenced by his name and numerous tweets and chat leaks circulating on Arabic-speaking platforms like X. Disturbingly, his plans to carry out mass killings of Germans were brought to the attention of German authorities by a Saudi woman. Tragically, the police ignored her warnings.

This airstrike is part of CENTCOM’s ongoing commitment, along with partners in the region, to disrupt and degrade efforts by terrorists to plan, organize, and conduct attacks against civilians and military personnel from the U.S., our allies, and our partners throughout the region and beyond.
This strike was conducted in an area formerly controlled by the Syrian regime and Russians.
“As stated before, the United States — working with allies and partners in the region — will not allow ISIS to take advantage of the current situation in Syria and reconstitute. ISIS has the intent to break out of detention the over 8,000 ISIS operatives currently being held in facilities in Syria. [THEPOSTMILLENNIAL] A Jackson County Circuit court judge ruled Friday that Missouri's near-total child sacrificeabortion ban cannot be enforced due to a newly enacted constitutional amendment. However,
by candlelight every wench is handsome... Planned Parenthood ...has received federal funding since 1970, when President Richard Nixon signed into law the Family Planning Services and Population Research Act. It is sometimes described as the gynecololgical wing of the Democratic party... has said that the ruling does not provide enough clarity or protection for it to resume offering child sacrifice abortions within the state.
Judge Jerri Zhang wrote that the ban was ''directly at odds'' with a constitutional amendment that allows for child sacrifice abortions that was passed by voters during the November election after the ACLU and Planned Parenthood sued the state in an effort to overturn the child sacrifice abortion ban, as reported by the Missouri Independent.
Zhang also stopped several other restrictions on child sacrifice abortions, including a 72-hour waiting period and informed consent law that made it so that patients were required to be given state-mandated information before receiving an child sacrifice abortion.
The judge refused to block other contested child sacrifice abortion laws, including one that required child sacrifice abortion facilities to be licensed by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services. The News Agency that Dare Not be Named reports that Planned Parenthood says facilities can't comply with some of the licensing requirements, including ''medically irrelevant'' size requirements for hallways, rooms, and doors.

… a command-and-control facility operated by Iran-backed Houthis within Houthi-controlled territory in Sana'a, Yemen, on Dec. 21 Yemen time.
CENTCOM forces conducted the deliberate strikes to disrupt and degrade Houthi operations, such as attacks against U.S. Navy warships and merchant vessels in the Southern Red Sea, Bab al-Mandeb, and Gulf of Aden.
During the operation, CENTCOM forces also shot down multiple Houthi one way attack uncrewed aerial vehicles (OWA UAV) and an anti-ship cruise missile (ASCM) over the Red Sea.
The operation involved U.S. Air Force and U.S. Navy assets, including F/A-18s.
The strike reflects CENTCOM's ongoing commitment to protect U.S. and coalition personnel, regional partners, and international shipping.
…and possibly also because it’s embarrassing that the IDF accomplished their own very dramatic attack from an airport 2,000 miles away. while American forces apparently have been plinking.

[IsraelTimes] Building damaged but students still able to attend classes on Friday; condemning antisemitism, mayor says ‘enough is enough’
Toronto Police are investigating evidence of gunshots fired overnight on Friday at Bais Chaya, a Jewish girls’ school, the third such incident since May.
As in the previous shootings, no one was injured in the incident.
Police said they were notified of the shooting at around 2:30 a.m. on Friday. The department’s Integrated Gun and Gang Task Force is investigating, with support from the Hate Crime Unit.
The building sustained property damage, according to the Toronto Jewish federation’s Jewish Security Network, but students were ultimately able to attend school Friday.
Bais Chaya Mushka is part of a network of Chabad-Lubavitch schools. All three shootings at the school took place overnight when the building was closed.
The first shooting occurred on a Shabbat in May at around 4 a.m. Then, in October, on Yom Kippur, gunshots were fired at the school from a vehicle. About a week later, two suspects — a 20-year-old man and 17-year-old boy — were arrested on firearm charges for that shooting.
"Enough is enough. Antisemitism and antisemitic attacks have no place in Toronto," Mayor Olivia Chow said in a statement on Friday. "The latest shooting at the Bais Chaya Mushka Elementary School is unacceptable. Once again students, families, and neighbors are waking up to safety concerns."
She added, "Toronto Police acted swiftly and arrested two individuals connected to the October 12 firearm discharge incident. I trust the police will do everything they can again."
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau ...hereditary prime minister of the Great White North... tweeted, "I’m sickened by reports of shots fired at a Jewish elementary school in North York. This is a hateful, antisemitic attack on Toronto’s Jewish community."
The shooting comes just days after a Montreal-area synagogue was Molotov cocktailed and is the latest in a series of attacks on Canadian Jewish institutions since Hamas ..not a terrorist organization, even though it kidnaps people, holds hostages, and tries to negotiate by executing them,... ’s October 7, 2023, invasion of Israel, which launched the war in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with a rusty iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... and has sparked a global spike in antisemitism.
In November 2023, assailants tossed a Molotov cocktail at the same synagogue, Congregation Beth Tikvah. The same month, shots were fired at two Orthodox Jewish schools in Montreal. In March, a venue postponed a Jewish film festival in Hamilton, Ontario due to "security and safety concerns," despite objections from the local Jewish federation, which said that the concerns centered on opposition to Israeli films. In August, bomb threats were sent to dozens of Jewish institutions across Canada.

Channel 12 news first reported that the terror group had yet to hand over the list of names, but said that nevertheless, Israeli officials believe that progress is being made in the ongoing negotiations.
Earlier on Saturday, Hebrew media reported that the head of the IDF intelligence corps, Maj. Gen. Shlomi Binder, visited Cairo over the weekend for meetings with his Egyptian counterparts. The report clarified that the visit was not focused on the hostage talks, but rather security cooperation.
Channel 12 reported later that Israel denied that Binder had visited Cairo.
However,

There is another theory which states that this has already happened... delegations of leaders from Hamas, Paleostinian Islamic Jihad ...created after many members of the Egyptian Moslem Brotherhood decided the organization was becoming too moderate. Operations were conducted out of Egypt until 1981 when the group was exiled after the assassination of President Anwar Sadat. They worked out of Gaza until they were exiled to Lebanon in 1987, where they clove tightly to Hezbollah. In 1989 they moved to Damascus, where they remain a subsidiary of Hezbollah... and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Paleostine did convene in Cairo on Friday to discuss the ongoing negotiations for a ceasefire and hostage release deal.
In a readout of the meeting, Hamas said the possibility of reaching a deal "is closer than ever if the enemy stops setting new conditions."
All three terror groups are believed to be holding hostages throughout Gaza, kidnapped during Hamas’s October 7, 2023 massacre in southern Israel.
The factions "stressed everyone’s keenness to stop the aggression against our people," the Hamas statement said, apparently referring to its demand for a permanent ceasefire.
The nature of the ceasefire deal is the main issue of contention in the talks, with Hamas demanding a permanent end to the fighting, while Israel is seeking a temporary pause during which some of the hostages would be released followed by a resumption of its fighting to finish dismantling the terror group’s military and governing capabilities, an Arab diplomat told The Times of Israel earlier this week.
Israel has sought to have the agreement refer to the ceasefire as one that "end[s] the military operation," while Hamas is insisting that the text states that the ceasefire will "end the war."
In an interview with The Wall Street Journal published Friday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reiterated his stance against a permanent ceasefire in Gaza, saying he would only agree to a temporary pause as part of a hostage release deal, and reiterating his plan to see Hamas completely dismantled.
"I’m not going to agree to end the war before we remove Hamas," he said. "We’re not going to leave them in power in Gaza, 30 miles from Tel Aviv. It’s not going to happen."

Following the PMO’s vow not to release Barghouti, Channel 12 reported that Israel was insisting on presenting a list to the mediators with the names of 70 to 100 security prisoners who it would refuse to release as part of an agreement.
Numerous attempts to reach a new hostage deal since a week-long truce in November, 2023, saw the release of 105 hostages have repeatedly failed, with Israel and Hamas accusing each other of sabotaging efforts and refusing to budge on key issues.
However,
there is a theory which states that if ever anybody discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another theory which states that this has already happened... the current round of negotiations has seemingly come close to securing a deal that would guarantee the release of at least some of the 96 hostages kidnapped during Hamas’s October 7 attack on Israel last year and still being held captive in Gaza.

[GEO.TV] Researchers at the University of Toronto say they have confirmed the existence of "negative time" in a tangible, physical sense, challenging traditional perceptions of how time operates.
For years, scientists have observed that light can sometimes seem to leave a material before it has even entered, often dismissed as a distortion caused by the interaction of waves with matter.
However, the team's latest experiments suggest this phenomenon is not an illusion but a measurable reality.
The findings, yet to be published in a peer-reviewed journal, have attracted both global attention and skepticism.
The researchers emphasise that these perplexing results highlight a peculiar quirk of quantum mechanics rather than a radical shift in our understanding of time.
"This is tough stuff, even for us to talk about with other physicists. We get misunderstood all the time," said Aephraim Steinberg, a University of Toronto professor specialising in experimental quantum physics.
While the term "negative time" might sound like a concept lifted from science fiction, Steinberg defends its use, hoping it will spark deeper discussions about the mysteries of quantum physics.
LASER EXPERIMENTSm
Years ago, the team began exploring interactions between light and matter.
When light particles, or photons, pass through atoms, some are absorbed by the atoms and later re-emitted. This interaction changes the atoms, temporarily putting them in a higher-energy or "excited" state before they return to normal.
In research led by Daniela Angulo, the team set out to measure how long these atoms stayed in their excited state. "That time turned out to be negative," Steinberg explained -- meaning a duration less than zero.
To visualise this concept, imagine cars entering a tunnel: before the experiment, physicists recognised that while the average entry time for a thousand cars might be, for example, noon, the first cars could exit a little sooner, say 11:59 am. This result was previously dismissed as meaningless.
What Angulo and colleagues demonstrated was akin to measuring carbon monoxide levels in the tunnel after the first few cars emerged and finding that the readings had a minus sign in front of them.
RELATIVITY INTACT
The experiments, conducted in a cluttered basement laboratory bristling with wires and aluminum-wrapped devices, took over two years to optimise. The lasers used had to be carefully calibrated to avoid distorting the results.
Still, Steinberg and Angulo are quick to clarify: no one is claiming time travel is a possibility. "We don't want to say anything traveled backward in time," Steinberg said. "That's a misinterpretation."
The explanation lies in quantum mechanics, where particles like photons behave in fuzzy, probabilistic ways rather than following strict rules.
Instead of adhering to a fixed timeline for absorption and re-emission, these interactions occur across a spectrum of possible durations -- some of which defy everyday intuition.
Critically, the researchers say, this doesn't violate Einstein's theory of special relativity, which dictates that nothing can travel faster than light. These photons carried no information, sidestepping any cosmic speed limits.
A DIVISIVE DISCOVERY
The concept of "negative time" has drawn both fascination and skepticism, particularly from prominent voices in the scientific community.
German theoretical physicist Sabine Hossenfelder, for one, criticised the work in a YouTube video viewed by over 250,000 people, noting, "The negative time in this experiment has nothing to do with the passage of time -- it's just a way to describe how photons travel through a medium and how their phases shift."
Angulo and Steinberg pushed back, arguing that their research addresses crucial gaps in understanding why light doesn't always travel at a constant speed.
Steinberg acknowledged the controversy surrounding their paper's provocative headline but pointed out that no serious scientist has challenged the experimental results.
"We've made our choice about what we think is a fruitful way to describe the results," he said, adding that while practical applications remain elusive, the findings open new avenues for exploring quantum phenomena.
"I'll be honest, I don't currently have a path from what we've been looking at toward applications," he admitted. "We're going to keep thinking about it, but I don't want to get people's hopes up."

I think I experienced negative time in a couple of meetings that seemed to last longer than the elapsed clock time.

Yep, I've been out of phase for years now. I have long believed experimental quantum physics is the rabbit hole.

Two questions that follow such am amazing assertion:
Is he worried about grant funding drying up, given his admission that there are no practical applications forthcoming, no peer review and lots of "misunderstanding", just a lot more thinking?
Is anybody running a drug-test swab on the air filters of the lab next time they swap them out. Might be interesting to see what comes up?

Sounds like the photons exceeded the speed of light in that medium* by quantum voodoo, err, tunnelling. (*Not the speed of light in a vacuum mind you which is higher and a hard limit...)
While they only managed to cause minor injury by sprayed glass while destroying that building, the Israelis are seriously displeased. And at the moment, except for shooting up the occasional bad guys in the West Bank, Gaza, and Lebanon, and doing yet another bombing run against the list of weapons storage sites from former president of Syria, Bashir al Assad, the only currentdistraction from going after Houthi sites again is planning and practicing what they are going to do to Iran. Were I a Houthi Big Turban, I’d be digging a new, extra deep bunker far away from anything that even remotely resembles a human shield — like hospitals and schools — just in case that might fool the Yahuds.
Update:
[THEPOSTMILLENNIAL] A Chinese national has been charged with acting as an illegal agent of the Chinese Communist Party as he was serving on the campaign of Democratic candidate who ran for an Arcadia City Council in Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party,.
On Thursday, Yaoning ''Mike'' Sun, 64, was arrested and accused of conspiring with Chen Jun, another defendant who was convicted last month and sentenced to 20 months in prison for acting as an agent for the Chinese government, according to the News Agency that Dare Not be Named.
Although the candidate for which Sun worked for is not named in the court documents, the New York Times
...which still proudly claims Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize... reported that the candidate named as "Individual 1" in the documents is Eileen Wang, a Chinese American who ran for Arcadia City Council in 2022. Sun worked as Wang's treasurer for the 2022 run.
Wang is still on the city council and is identified as a Democrat in her campagin filings during her 2022 run, but has not been accused of any wrongdoing.
The 71-year-old Chen, who is also a foreign national of China, pleaded guilty to using money to bribe federal agents in an effort to undermine Falun Gong, spiritual group that is built around anti-CCP values. Sun as well as Chen are also charged with conspiring to impact elections.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry on Friday claimed that the country ''never interferes in the internal affairs of other countries" and was not familiar with the case. According to charging documents, Chen told Sun to report in 2023 on how they got an elected official in office in California. The report detailed that the politician that was pushed by the pair was a "new political star" in the state.
"This case is yet another example of a very disturbing trend: the People's Republic of China is seeking to influence foreign and domestic policy in the United States,'' US Attorney Martin Estrada told news hounds. "To do so, government officials in China are seeking to help get elected individuals who they see as being friendly to Chinese foreign policy.

[ShabelleMedia] Æthiopian troops have reportedly crossed into Somalia’s Gedo region, engaging in significant military activities around the Dolow district, according to local sources. The incursion has sparked concerns over potential escalations in an already volatile area.
Residents in Dolow have reported that Æthiopian forces, equipped with military vehicles, are conducting thorough searches of individuals and vehicles. These operations, which extend to the border areas between Somalia and Æthiopia, appear to be part of a broader strategic move by Æthiopia.
The specifics of the Æthiopian military’s objectives remain unclear, but local accounts suggest that the troops are not only focusing on security checks but are also setting up temporary military outposts. This development follows recent reports of increased Æthiopian military presence near the border, which has been a point of contention in the past.
This military movement comes at a time of heightened tension between Somalia’s federal government in Mogadishu and the semi-autonomous Jubbaland state, which has its capital in Kismayo ...a port city in the southern Lower Juba province of Somalia, at the extreme southern end of the country (always assuming Somalia can be called a country). It is the commercial capital of the autonomous Jubaland region.... The relationship between the two has been strained over issues of autonomy, resource sharing, and security responsibilities. Jubbaland has often viewed Æthiopian military involvement with suspicion, fearing that it might bolster federal government control at the expense of regional autonomy.
The Æthiopian operations in Gedo are particularly sensitive because the region is strategically located near the borders with both Æthiopia and Kenya, and it has been a focal point for al-Shabaab ... Somalia's version of the Taliban, functioning as an arm of al-Qaeda... , the al-Qaeda-linked bully boy group. The presence of Æthiopian troops could be interpreted as an effort to combat al-Shabaab or to assert influence in an area where multiple actors vie for control.
Political analysts are expressing concern that these actions could lead to a direct confrontation between Æthiopian forces and local militias or even Jubbaland’s own security forces, potentially destabilizing the region further.
The federal government of Somalia has yet to comment officially on the situation, but there’s an expectation that a response or mediation efforts might soon be forthcoming, possibly through regional bodies like the African Union ...a union consisting of 53 African states, most run by dictators of one flavor or another. The only all-African state not in the AU is Morocco. Established in 2002, the AU is the successor to the Organisation of African Unity (OAU), which was even less successful... or the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD).
Residents in the area are anxious, with some expressing fears of becoming caught in the middle of escalating military actions. The region has seen its share of conflict, and any increase in military activity could lead to displacement or further complicate humanitarian access to an already struggling populace.
As the situation develops, international observers are closely monitoring the potential for this to ignite larger regional conflicts, especially given the complex web of alliances and rivalries in the Horn of Africa.
[ShabelleMedia] The Somali National Armed Forces (SNA) conducted a meticulously planned operation over the weekend between the towns of Wajid and Baar in the Bakool region. The operation led to the successful dismantling of several Khawarij militant hideouts and trenches in and around the Baar area.
According to SNA officials, the operation was intelligence-driven, targeting known locations where Khawarij, a term often used by Somali authorities to refer to extremist groups including Al-Shabaab, have been actively hiding and planning attacks. “Our forces have effectively neutralized a key operational area used by these terrorists,” stated Colonel Abdi Hassan, a senior SNA commander involved in the operation.
The operation involved a combined force of infantry, special units, and local militias known as Ma’awisley, who have been increasingly integrated into anti-terror efforts in the region. The use of drones for reconnaissance was also reported, providing real-time intelligence that helped pinpoint the hideouts’ exact locations.
No official numbers on casualties or captures were released, but sources within the military suggested that several militants were either killed or detained during the raids. The operation also led to the seizure of weapons, ammunition, and explosive materials, which the SNA described as a critical blow to the insurgents’ capabilities in the region.
Residents expressed relief and cautious optimism. “We have lived in fear for too long. Operations like this give us hope that peace might return,” said Halima Osman, a resident of Baar. However, there are concerns about potential retaliatory attacks by the militants, a common occurrence after such military engagements.
This operation underscores the Somali government’s broader strategy to secure previously ungoverned spaces, particularly in the more remote and volatile regions like Bakool, which have been hotspots for insurgent activities. The SNA, with support from international partners including the African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) and various bilateral agreements, continues to push forward in reclaiming territory from extremist control.
The success of the operation between Wajid and Baar is seen as part of a series of efforts to dismantle the logistical and operational networks of groups like Al-Shabaab, aiming to reduce their influence and enhance stability across Somalia eventually.
The government has reiterated its commitment to these operations, emphasizing the need for continued vigilance and support from both the local populace and the international community to achieve lasting peace and security.
[BREITBART] French authorities have arrested nearly a hundred people in connection to an immense international child pornography ring following an investigation launched last year by the National Gendarmerie.
Gendarmes, the police force responsible for fighting cyber crimes in La Belle France, revealed Thursday that they have seized some 122 computers, 152 smartphones, and 330 other digital media devices containing 375,000 photos and 156,000 videos totaling 217 terabytes of data as it dismantled a large-scale international child pornography operation.
So far, 95 people have been arrested in La Belle France in connection to the case, notably including the director of a youth organization, a sports instructor, and even a deputy mayor, Le Figaro reports. According to the paper, the majority of suspects have already admitted to their guilt in the case.
Of those arrested, 36 were already known to police for having previously committed sexual offences against children or having visited websites featuring child pornography. All of the suspects were men between the ages of 18 and 74, except for one 16-year-old minor.

[THEPOSTMILLENNIAL] A Michigan man has been arrested for allegedly stabbing the president of his company on Tuesday, in what police believe could be a possible "copycat" attempt of the UnitedHealthcare CEO execution. Nathan Mahoney, 32, of Walker, was arraigned Wednesday on charges of assault with intent to murder and eluding a police officer. He is being held on a $500,000 bond, jail records show.
According to court documents, Mahoney walked into a conference room during a meeting at Anderson Express Inc. and allegedly stabbed Erik Denslow, the president of the manufacturing company, in the side with a "red-handled" knife. Denslow was transported to the hospital at death's door, but is expected to recover, Fox 17 reported
Mahoney expeditiously departed at a goodly pace and was arrested less than an hour later by Muskegon County deputies in a Ravenna backyard, court documents show.
Police are not ruling out the potential that this was a "copycat" of the December 4 killing of UnitedHealthcare CEP Brian Thompson, 50, in Manhattan. Deputy Police Chief Greg Poulson told News 8: "I think that comes to everyone's mind in this time. We're going through all his social accounts, all his electronic media, and trying to determine a motive for this act."
"It seems to be the popular thing in this day and age," Poulson said.
Matt Roberts, a Muskegon County prosecutor, told Fox 17 that multiple employees witnessed the stabbing, and that this was "certainly by no means a case of 'whodunit'." Roberts said that Mahoney was hired to work in the accounting department of Anderson Express Inc. a few weeks prior.
"We're not speculating on any motive in this case," the prosecutor said. "But despite whatever redress you might have against any individual, you cannot act violent mostly peaceful mostly peacefully against that person under any circumstances." Mahoney's next court appearance is scheduled for Dec. 26.

[USNI] This post has been updated with additional information on the timing of the incident.
Two U.S. Navy aviators are safe after their two-seat F/A-18F Super Hornet was shot down by an American ship by mistake, according to a late Saturday statement from U.S. Central Command.
“Whoops! Sorry, guys.”
The Super Hornet, assigned to aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN-75), was flying over the Red Sea when guided-missile cruiser USS Gettysburg (CG-64) fired upon it, according to the CENTCOM statement.
“Both pilots were safely recovered. Initial assessments indicate that one of the crew members sustained minor injuries,” reads a statement from CENTCOM.
“This incident was not the result of hostile fire, and a full investigation is underway.”
A Navy official told USNI News the incident occurred around 3 a.m. local time on Sunday or about 7 p.m. East Coast time on Saturday. The Super Hornet was assigned to Carrier Air Wing One, and embarked aboard Truman, an official told USNI News. While the CENTCOM statement didn’t specify the squadron, the only two-seat F/A-18F squadron embarked aboard Truman are the “Red Rippers” of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 11 from Naval Air Station Oceana, Va.
The strike group is tasked as part of the U.S.-led Operation Prosperity Guardian, the mission to protect merchant traffic in the Red Sea from Houthi attacks from Yemen. Previous strike groups and independently deployed U.S. guided-missile warships have intercepted dozens of drones, guided cruise missiles and ballstic missiles as part of their mission.
Over the weekend, U.S. forces attacked the Yemeni capital of Sanna striking a missile storage facility and a command and control node, according to a Saturday statement from CENTCOM.
“CENTCOM forces conducted the deliberate strikes to disrupt and degrade Houthi operations, such as attacks against U.S. Navy warships and merchant vessels in the Southern Red Sea, Bab al-Mandeb, and Gulf of Aden,” reads the statement.
Gettysburg, homeported at Naval Station Norfolk, Va., is assigned to Truman and entered the Red Sea with the carrier last week, according to the USNI News Fleet and Marine Tracker.
The commander of the cruiser is the air defense commander for the strike group and is responsible for detecting and defeating threats to the carrier and its escorts.
The cruiser has more than 100 vertical launch cells capable of firing missiles capable of intercepting a variety of threats. Officials have not yet disclosed the weapon the crew of the cruiser used in the incident.
Truman, its escorts and airwing deployed from Norfolk on Sept 23. Before entering the Red Sea, the strike group operated in the Atlantic off Norway and the U.K.
The following is the complete statement from U.S. Central Command.
TAMPA, Fla. – Two U.S. Navy pilots ejected safely over the Red Sea during the early morning hours of December 22 when their F/A-18 fighter aircraft was shot down in an apparent case of friendly fire.
The guided-missile cruiser USS Gettysburg (CG 64), which is part of the USS Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group, mistakenly fired on and hit the F/A-18, which was flying off the USS Harry S. Truman.
Both pilots were safely recovered. Initial assessments indicate that one of the crew members sustained minor injuries. This incident was not the result of hostile fire, and a full investigation is underway.

The commander of the cruiser is the air defense commander for the strike group
Not anymore.
I am quite honestly saying prayers of thanks that the F-18 crew is alive. I do not, however, have a great deal of faith in the USN to sort this out without simply court-martialing the lowest ranking enlisted man in the chain.

And on further reflection what aircraft was the Gettysburg attempting to shoot down when they hit our own aircraft? Didn’t think the Houthis had aircraft just drones and missiles. If they were attempting to hit a drone they pretty clearly missed (hitting our plane instead) - what happened to the drone they were aiming at? Hit by another missile, simply missed or hit an unreported target. There has been so much prevarication and propaganda lately that my instinct is to presume the worst after any press release

"Lieutenant, who is the lowest ranking member of the crew?"
"Sir, that would be Seaman Apprentice Smith, who joined the crew 3 days ago."
"It was his fault."
"But sir, he was under general anesthesia at the time of the incident."
"See -- dereliction of duty. A court-martial offense. That's why he gets the big bucks."

The Gettysburg uses AEGIS to track contacts and can fire missiles based on its solutions. Normally, another type of radar paints the target in terminal after the aircraft can’t escape. My info is last century, but I offer it up as clarification. This isn’t like a fire and forget harpoon shot. It was guided in.

Something not quite right about this. Not aviation smart but that the crew ejected safely to me implies a level of damage from a smaller warhead like that found on MANPADS rather than a U.S. Naval SM-2.
The SM-2 "...carries a 64 kg blast fragmentation warhead..."
"FIM-92 Stinger: The warhead of the FIM-92 Stinger contains 2.25 lb (1.02 kg) of HTA-3 explosive.
Mistral MANPADS: The Mistral MANPADS has a 3 kg warhead.
9K32 Strela-2: The warhead of the 9K32 Strela-2 has a weight of 1.15 kg (2.5 lb).
Misagh-3: The warhead of the Misagh-3 has a weight of 1.5 kg (3.3 lb).
QW-11: The warhead of the QW-11 has a weight of 1.42 kg."
#13
NoMoreBS if it was a SM-2 the pilot was trying to nock like hell and most likely the missile got a maximum range hit and was enough to make the plane unflyable.
#14
Exactly what time and date was the F-18 shot down? (Israel time if possible please.)
Exactly what time and date (Israel time) did the missile from Yemen hit Tel Aviv?
I'm thinking that there was a highly tense situation and the USS Gettysburg was tracking and shot at a missile or something from Yemen and the F-18 just happen to meet the 'Randy Johnson fastball vs the pigeon' missile, i.e. was in the wrong place at the wrong time!
The armed forces succeeded in thwarting an American-British attack on our country, as the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman and a number of its destroyers were targeted in conjunction with the start of the aggressive attack yesterday evening on our country.
The operation was carried out with eight winged missiles and 17 drones. The operation, with the help of God Almighty, led to:
First: The downing of an F-18 plane while the destroyers were trying to confront the Yemeni missiles and missiles.
Second: Most enemy warplanes left Yemeni airspace for international waters in the Red Sea to defend the aircraft carrier while it was being targeted.
Third: The failure of the hostile attack on Yemeni territory
Fourth: The withdrawal of the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman after being targeted from its previous location towards the northern Red Sea, after being subjected to more than one attack by the missile force, the naval forces, and the unmanned air force.
While the Yemeni armed forces confirm their success in confronting the American-British aggression and thwarting it, they reaffirm their readiness to confront any American-British-Israeli foolishness during the coming period.
It warns the Israeli and American enemy against the aggression against Yemen and that the Yemeni armed forces will use their full right to defend Yemen and continue to support the Palestinian people until the aggression against Gaza is stopped and the siege on it is lifted.

My question was the Ageis in auto engage or did somebody use manual override to fire the missile? it was a manual missile that shot down the Iranian airliner a couple decades ago IIRC.

[GEO.TV] Sixteen Pakistain Army soldiers were martyred while thwarting terrorists' bid to attack a security check post in South Wazoo district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP), the military's media wing said on Saturday.
On the night between December 20-21, a group of murderous Moslems attempted to attack security forces check post in general area Makeen in the tribal district, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.
It said the attempt was effectively thwarted by troops and in ensuing fire exchange, "eight khwarij [terrorists] were sent to hell".
"However,
we can't all be heroes. Somebody has to sit on the curb and applaud when they go by... during intense fire exchange, sixteen brave sons of soil, having fought gallantly embraced shahadat."
The ISPR said sanitisation operation was launched in the area and the perpetrators of the heinous act will be brought to justice.
"Security forces of Pakistain are determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave men further strengthen our resolve."
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the attack by murderous Moslems on a security check post in the Makeen area of South Waziristan district.
In a statement, he paid glowing tribute to the 16 brave security personnel, who embraced shahadat while valiantly combating the terrorists. He extended his heartfelt condolences to the deaders' families, and prayed for the elevation of their ranks.

[THEPOSTMILLENNIAL] On Saturday, President Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. The man who made Barack Obama and Jimmy Carter look competent, if only by comparison.... signed the third government spending package that was introduced into Congress. This comes after two bills were introduced by the House, with one getting tanked by a flurry of posts from Elon Musk as well as a post from President-elect Donald Trump ...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and whatever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th and 47th President of the United States... , and another losing in a vote on Thursday.
The White House released a statement on Saturday, "The bipartisan funding bill I just signed keeps the government open and delivers the urgently needed disaster relief that I requested for recovering communities as well as the funds needed to rebuild the Francis Scott Key Bridge."
Biden added in the statement, "This agreement represents a compromise, which means neither side got everything it wanted.'' The bill includes funding that goes until March along with $100 billion in disaster relief for those impacted by Hurricanes Helene and Milton in the US. There is also a $10 billion provision for farmers

[GEO.TV] The al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas ..not a terrorist organization, even though it kidnaps people, holds hostages, and tries to negotiate by executing them,... , have announced that they have killed five Israeli soldiers in two different operations in the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gazoo

This is why I avoid fast food operations. From experience, I do not trust young food service workers. Should the floor and tables be a mess, the back room is also. The steak falls on the floor. Management, seeing it, tells the workers to put it back on the plate. Customers will never know. I eat at a restaurant that primarily has older workers. An out-of-state manager checked out the new fast-food operation across the street and told us not to eat there—several violations. The owner is aware but refuses to change anything. He let go of locals and has only nonspeaking workers now.
Getting the full text of yesterday’s post into the record for future searchability.
NOW WE KNOW ABOUT THE "DRONES"
The big mystery about drones being seen all over New Jersey, seems to have been solved: Photos make clear at least some of the drones are PteroDynamics XP-4 trans-wing drones, being developed for the U.S. Navy. Others are nuclear detection drones.
The XP-4 is being readied for work picking-up and dropping-off packages to a moving ship, even in high seas and high winds.
As its name implies, it is a trans-wing design, meaning it can switch from an aircraft-type winged flight, to a Quad-copter-type design for Vertical Take Off and Landings (VTOL).
Officially, it has a one-hour flight time, but that could have easily been upgraded.
It is about 13 feet wide by 6 feet long; closely matching the descriptions provided by so many witnesses.
Very VERY many of the "sightings" and "reports" about these drones show them traveling almost directly up the New Jersey coastline, and, wouldn't you know it, right where the most reports are coming from, and perfectly along the flight path is, Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, Home of the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD).
This also explains why drones are appearing every night in much the same area, and sticking around so long; they have a base they can go to to swap batteries all night.
Other- "Strange-Looking" Drones
Not all of the drones being seen are close in description to the XP-4. It seems that other types of drones are also being tested; specifically running nighttime missions between NAWCAD Lakehurst, and a U.S. Navy ships offshore.
One of the types of drones also being flown over NJ and NY are American-made HPGe nuclear-detector drones. They can detect Gamma Rays from miles away.
Gamma Rays are a dangerous form of radiation that can penetrate the bodies of living organisms and harm those organisms to varying degrees, depending upon the intensity of the gamma Rays and the duration of exposure.
These HPGe Drones were originally designed to inspect nuclear facilities but that's **NOT** what these drones are for. These drones are for sweeping a large area, in a grid pattern, to find a POTENTIAL Dirty Bomb or POTENTIAL other nuclear device, POTENTIALLY being smuggled-in to detonate in a terrorist attack.
Many witnesses have commented that the Drones they see appear to be sweeping over an area in "grid pattern" as if they're looking for something specific. The reason they are operating in a Grid pattern is not only to practice looking for something, but also because the drones are programmed to operate in a "Mesh Network" operating in the 200GHz communications band. 200GHz is very directional and requires bulky "horn" antennas to function.
It turns out the United States Department of Defense bought...are you ready for this..."Hundreds of thousands" of these drones!
They can be programmed to "swarm" a city.
Back in 2009-2010, the Dept. of Defense (DoD) needed a response to the threat of Dirty Bombs, being smuggled-in by ISIS, to a U.S. Port City. DoD has been stocking-up on these drones since about 2010.
The drones look weird because the nuclear detection gear requires a large and heavy Cryo-Cooler to be mounted beneath it, for the Gamma Radiation detectors, and as mentioned above, the giant "horn" antennas to communicate on mm-wave frequencies that cannot be jammed.
Here's the dicey part: These drones are being used, right now inside Ukraine! That is the first time these devices have been deployed in a Combat Zone.
Sources are now telling me what the purposes of these drone flights are:
First, the Navy is testing how the public will react (PsyOp).
Second, they are testing their ability to sweep a densely populated large area in a grid pattern without communication disruption or loss of drone control.
They are very reluctant to even send the drones into Manhattan because of the very real potential of losing communication with the drone amidst the towering skyscrapers, and enormous electromagnetic interference from all the electronic gizmos and gadgets operating in that area.
So why all the "hush hush?"
They are , in fact, U.S. Government Drones and they don't want to talk about it.
It seems some folks in the U.S. government have forgotten that they work for us...the people of the United States, whose hard work, ingenuity, and heavy tax burden, make their entire existence possible!
Other sources told me the government is, in fact, looking for a "Dirty Bomb" that perpetrators are allegedly trying to sneak into New York City to detonate as part of a terrorist attack. He mentioned Christmas and New Year's Eve (Times Square) as possible targets. I have **NOT** been able to corroborate that ONE source's claim.
ALL of the bridges and tunnels in-to and out-of New York City are equipped with radiation detectors.
Further, the NYPD, years ago, gave most of their 38,000 police officers, belt-worn radiation detectors, about the size of a belt-worn pocket pager, that would beep and vibrate if they detected radiation nearby. I do not know if NYPD still deploys such devices, but they did, at one time in the past.
Thus, it seems to me, to be virtually impossible for a terrorist to sneak such a device into New York City. But "virtually" impossible is also not "impossible."
Finally, there is a THIRD source who told me "There are drones with flight lights that are all over the news now, but there are other objects, referred-to as "Orbs." They are glowing balls that fly through the air, and NO ONE knows what they are, what' they're doing, or who/where they're from. He went on to tell me "All the Drones you see with flight lights are out looking for the "Orbs" that glow, so see what they are, where they are, and who is operating them. The glowing "orbs" are the UFO's."
Normally I would just shove the link into the weekly roundup, but Commentary senior editor Seth Mandel makes a point I completely missed.
[Commentary] In October, I asked what the next mutation of campus anti-Semitism was going to be, warning against the classic mistake of "fighting the last war." Well, we have our answer: terrorism.
A freshman at George Mason University in Virginia has been arrested and charged with plotting to bomb the Israeli consulate in New York.
By all accounts, the suspect, Abdullah Hassan of Egypt,
…more fully in the Rantburg archives as Abdullah Ezzeldin Taha Mohamed Hassan, 18, who is being held without bail as he awaits trial and deportation…
was serious about his mission.
"Hassan floated different options such as assault rifles, a boom jacket or a backpack stuffed with a homemade acetone-peroxide bomb
…the extremely touchy Mother of Satan (TATP) formula that the glossy magazine of Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula once wrote up as suitable for easy mixing up in the bathtub of your mom, which is why beauty supply shops are required to report large purchases of acetone to the authorities…
— for which he sent the informant a detailed instructional video stamped with the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... logo, according to charging documents," the Washington Post reports.
Hassan went through the relative merits of explosives vs. shooting sprees. Lest anyone try to argue this was some kind of purely political act of anti-Zionism and not anti-Semitism, Hassan had explained that he was targeting New York City because of how easy it was there to find targets who were "Yahud"—Arabic for "Jews." He was immersed in the intricacies of the plan, "micromanag[ing] details such as the size of ball bearings to be used as shrapnel for a bomb."
Hassan had been interviewed but not charged by the FBI two years ago for spreading ISIS propaganda, so we can say he was on their radar, as officials often admit when someone escalates their threat to society.
Thus far it hasn’t been reported that Mr. Hassan was executing a an ISIS plot, or even that he had spontaneously pledged to one of the formal jihadi organizations. It appears that he just absorbed ideas from the general jihadi swamp.
It has not been GMU’s strongest semester. In November, the president of the school’s chapter of Students for Justice in Paleostine and her sister were barred from campus. A day earlier, police had searched their home and found guns, ammunition, anti-Semitic literature, and "death to Jews" paraphernalia. This was in connection with an investigation into an act of anti-Semitic vandalism on campus.
Jena and Noor Chanaa are the students. Their elder brother, Mohammad Chanaa, a GMU alumnus, turned in his own handgun, ammunition, and concealed carry permit the next day, accused of complicity in the project.
The worst part is that these two cases are not connected. We’re not dealing with a specific, extreme student group or a particular clique of activists under the influence of a radical professor or network. We’re just seeing an atmosphere on campus conducive to violent mostly peaceful Jew-hatred.
That does not, however, disconnect it from the on-campus radicalization that has been going on for a long time but which massively increased after Oct. 7, 2023. This is the next step in a process that nurtures both kinds of extremism. Post-Oct. 7, faculty and students teamed up to turn college campuses into mob sites. Tentifada encampments were set up to prevent Jewish students from accessing public parts of campus, and professors began not only joining the protests but reducing the necessity of going to class by rewarding anti-Zionist activism and participation at sit-ins. The administrations almost universally incentivized this behavior by bowing to activists and their outside patrons. Students were rarely punished and district attorneys dropped charges out of political sympathy with the tentifada.
That meant that in future years, already-radicalized students would seek to join these campuses, knowing they’d be well at home there. Which is exactly what appears to have happened with Hassan.
Which means Hassan is unlikely to be much of an outlier. We can’t know how many people with violent mostly peaceful designs will be caught while on campus, but we can be sure they know that America’s campuses—certain ones more than others—are the right destination for them.
After the Hassan news hit social media, an absolutely chilling detail emerged. Adam Mossoff, a Jewish professor at the university’s law school, posted: "For the past year, a permanent police presence has been assigned to the faculty suite of offices where I & [Professor David Bernstein] work. I have greater clarity now why this had to be done. It’s shameful that GMU has fostered an environment where this is needed for its profs."
The school seems to have good reason for taking extra measures to protect its Jewish professors. That it needs to do so—and it clearly needs to do so—is more proof that the American system of higher education is becoming a place that puts Jews in escalating physical danger.
pic.twitter.com/DeTDyRA0CT Iraqi MP Habib Al-Halawi vows to massacre American people as human sacrifices for Allah (god of Muslims) and spill more blood for the sake of Jihad (Islam’s holy war). He insists that the Muslims in Iraq are inspired by death and seek to turn themselves…
Muslims in Iraq are inspired by death and seek to turn themselves into martyrs (human sacrifice) for Islam.
Is this what a religion of peace looks like? He's got a very poor memory.
Al-Sadiqoun (“the speakers of the truth”) is a political wing of the Shia Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq ("League of the Righteous"), yet another Iraqi Shiite anti-American sock puppet.

[FoxBusiness] President-elect Trump unleashed a tirade against Panama Canal tolls Saturday, claiming the U.S. is being ripped off by high prices.
In a Truth Social post Saturday, Trump complained at length about the fees levied on U.S. ships going through the Big Ditch. The Panama Canal's tolls can range from three to six figures depending on how large a vessel is and how much cargo it carries, with the largest ships being charged as much as $500,000.
"The Panama Canal is considered a VITAL National Asset for the United States, due to its critical role to America’s Economy and National Security," Trump wrote in his post. "A secure Panama Canal is crucial for U.S. Commerce, and rapid deployment of the Navy, from the Atlantic to the Pacific, and drastically cuts shipping times to U.S. ports."
The incoming president criticized former President Carter, who Trump said "foolishly gave it away, for One Dollar." In 1977, Carter signed the Panama Canal Treaty, which phased out U.S. control of the canal by 1999.
Carter also signed the Neutrality Treaty, which ensured that the tolls would be equal for all nations. Trump implied that the U.S. should be given preferential treatment in his post.
"Our Navy and Commerce have been treated in a very unfair and injudicious way," the president-elect argued. "The fees being charged by Panama are ridiculous, especially knowing the extraordinary generosity that has been bestowed to Panama by the U.S. This complete 'rip-off' of our Country will immediately stop."
Trump also floated the idea of demanding the canal's ownership be returned to the United States if American ships are not given fair treatment.
"[The Panama Canal] was not given for the benefit of others, but merely as a token of cooperation with us and Panama," Trump concluded. "If the principles, both moral and legal, of this magnanimous gesture of giving are not followed, then we will demand that the Panama Canal be returned to us, in full, and without question.

The expansion of the canal that took place between about 2004 and 2016 cost a lot of money, probably over $4B. I'm sure China did a lot of the financing as their companies would be big beneficiaries. The govt of Panama is getting a lot of money in increased fees and the canal improvements are probably earning 10-15% return on investment. US freight probably pays well over $1B/yr to use the canal but saves more than that in time and fuel savings.

Since the canal spans across Panama, it would seem to be a good choke point in 'migration'.

While I think what Carter did was world-class stupid, don’t see how we can take it back with any sort of legitimate rationale.
Trump is out of line on this one.
Joe Biden can’t remember to put his pants on with the zipper in front without assistance. No way is he mulling any of the details of the job he’s been mentally incompetent to perform since 2020. So who in his group of puppet masters is actually pondering this stuff?
[THEGATEWAYPUNDIT] Joe Biden may commute the sentences of all 40 federal death row inmates after pressure from more than 130 human and 'civil rights' groups.
This is after Biden commuted the sentences of 1,500 people and pardoned 39 others — the biggest single-day act of clemency in history, the AP reported.
Biden also pardoned his son, Hunter, who was convicted of felony gun crimes after he promised he would respect the jury's verdict.
President Trump has promised to accelerate federal executions so Joe Biden is likely going to commute their sentences in an effort to derail Trump's plans.
Trump's DOJ signed off on 13 federal executions during Trump's first term.
The 40 inmates on death row have been convicted of heinous crimes and gruesome murders.
Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the Boston Marathon bomber, Dylann Roof, the man who fatally shot 9 parishioners at a church in South Carolina, and Robert Bowers, the man who carried out a mass shooting at Tree of Life Synagogue, are all currently on death row.

Often controversial presidents will become more popular after several years of retirement. I think we can rule that out in Joe’s case.

[JustTheNews] The National Border Patrol Council, which represents about 18,000 Border Patrol agents, endorsed former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard for director of national intelligence, who President-elect Donald Trump nominated for the position.
"On behalf of the National Border Patrol Council (NBPC), I write to express our complete and total support for President-elect Donald Trump's nominee to be the Director of National Intelligence (DNI), former U.S. Representative and Lieutenant Colonel Tulsi Gabbard," the NBPC wrote in a letter to incoming Senate Intelligence Committee Chair Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., according the letter written on Tuesday that the The Daily Wire obtained.
"We have no doubt that Lt. Col. Gabbard is the right person to be the DNI and will work tirelessly to keep our nation safe, just as she has done for the past two decades," the letter also read.
Gabbard, a former Democrat turned Republican, has been meeting with senators on Capitol Hill about her nomination.
[Rudaw] The United States on Thursday imposed new sanctions targeting Iran’s oil trade and a prison where alleged human rights ...not to be confused with individual rights, mind you... violations take place.
"The Department of State is today imposing sanctions on four entities that have transported Iranian oil and identifying six vessels as their blocked property," US Secretary of State Antony Blinken ...71st United States secretary of state and a leading light of the corrupt and inept Biden administration. He previously served as deputy national security advisor from 2013 to 2015 and deputy secretary of state from 2015 to 2017 under the corrupt and inept Obama administration. He advocated for the 2003 invasion of Iraq while serving as the Democratic staff director of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee from 2002 to 2008. He was a foreign policy advisor for the Biden 2008 presidential campaign. During his tenure in the Obama administration, Blinken helped craft B.O.'s policy on Afghanistan, Pakistan, and the nuclear program of Iran. We all saw how well each of those worked. After leaving government service, Blinken moved into the private sector, co-founding WestExec Advisors, a lobbying firm... said in a statement.
In addition, 12 people were sanctioned "for their role supporting smuggling and arms trafficking, money laundering, and shipment of illicit Iranian petroleum for the benefit of Ansarallah, a Specially Designated Global Terrorist commonly known as the Iran's Houthi sock puppets ...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The legitimate Yemeni government has accused the them of having ties to the Iranian government. Honest they did. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews They like shooting off... ummm... missiles that they would have us believe they make at home in their basements. On the plus side, they did murder Ali Abdullah Saleh, which was the only way the country was ever going to be rid of him... s," the statement added.
The State Department said it would continue to impose sanctions to hold Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate JewsZionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol... accountable as long as it targets the US and its allies.
The US also sanctioned Iran's Ghezel Hesar Prison, which it called a "site of gross violations of human rights, namely cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment and punishment of individuals in Iran who sought to exercise their right to freedom of expression."
Ghezel Hesar Prison, located in Karaj northwest of Tehran, is one of the sites authorities torture and execute prisoners.
On Wednesday, the US Treasury imposed sanctions on four entities and individuals accused of supporting Iran’s missile and drone programs, providing components that are used "for sensitive navigational systems" for the military and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Aerospace Force.

Li is significant as an individual, but, potentially, she may be the tip of the iceberg. The MSNBC and CNN rating's are a good metric to indicate where the liberal donor class is at. Maybe libs are just taking a break, but if they are gone for good the game has changed.

[GEO.TV] A Madrid court on Friday said ex-IMF chief and Spanish economy minister Rodrigo Rato received a jail term of more than four years for tax crimes, money laundering and corruption.
The sentence comes after the disgraced former heavyweight of Spain's conservative Popular Party was enjugged Drop the gat, Rocky, or you're a dead 'un! for four and a half years in 2018 for misusing funds while working at a bank.
Prosecutors had alleged that Rato defrauded the Spanish tax office and lined his own pockets to the tune of 8.5 million euros between 2005 and 2015.
Judges found Rato guilty of "three offences against the Treasury, one offence of money laundering and one offence of corruption between individuals", the court said in a statement.
Rato was sentenced to four years, nine months and one day in jail and fined more than two million euros ($2.1 million), which he can appeal at the Supreme Court.
Rato spent eight years variously serving as economy minister and a deputy prime minister in the conservative government of Jose Maria Aznar before going on to lead the International Monetary Fund from 2004 to 2007.
He later headed Spanish lender Bankia, where he misused company credit cards for personal expenses between 2010 and 2012.
That earned him the 2018 jail sentence before he was moved to a semi-open prison regime in late 2020.
The Bankia scandal came to light at the height of a severe economic crisis that left many people struggling financially.
It sparked outrage in Spain, which worsened when the government then spent 22 billion euros on a bailout for the failing lender that quickly won notoriety as a symbol of financial excess.

[THEPOSTMILLENNIAL] YouTuber Tim Pool's lawsuit against Kamala HQ, which represents and posts on behalf of Kamala Harris What can be, unburdened by what has been ' presidential campaign on X, reached a successful conclusion on Friday. While the details of the settlement have not been made public, Pool posted that he was "satisfied" with the result along with a screen capture showing that the allegedly defaming post from Kamala HQ had been deleted. In his suit against the campaign, Pool had asked for a retraction: the deletion of the post is essentially that.
"The lawsuit between I, Tim Pool, and The Kamala Harris Campaign has been resolved to my satisfaction," he said. "Thank You." One of the things his suit against the campaign alleged was that he had suffered "reputational harm" at the hands of the Kamala campaign. The deletion of their post, while it does not fully repair that damage, reveals that the campaign has been made fully aware of their falsehood against Pool.
When asked if he thought this resolution was an indication that things are finally getting back to even, and how far he thinks we still have to go, he said "I think it's getting better. I think we are winning," but mentioned two recent events from this week that give him pause, namely the ongoing Daniel Penny trial and the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. "The Daniel Penny verdict and the CEO liquidation shows the far left is still here and still dangerous." The chorus of leftists practically cheering the death of the CEO was deafening and Penny could end up facing another trial on manslaughter charges.
