17 Photos of Old Hollywood Stars Before They Were Famous
The names Marilyn Monroe, James Dean and Lucille Ball, among others, are synonymous with fame and fortune. They go beyond just being actors, singers and performers and forever live on as pop culture icons. But given their legendary status, it's easy to forget that before these entertainers became shining Hollywood stars, they were just ordinary people with a glimmer of hope and a dream. From Marilyn Monroe getting her start as a brunette model to Humphrey Bogart's early days in the Navy, let's take a revealing peek behind the flashing cameras and explore old Hollywood stars before they were famous.

Not a fan fan, and even I'd seen most of these before... but I enjoyed seeing them again, and maybe one or two of you haven't got enough pics of Marilyn reading in your lives.
[FoxNews] The Operation Lone Star program launched by Texas to combat the smuggling of drugs and people across the U.S.-Mexico border has now resulted in more than 53,300 migrant apprehensions and 3,400 criminal arrests, the state’s Department of Public Safety tells Fox News.
Its troopers, through July 22, have also been involved in 546 vehicle pursuits and have seized more than 4,800 pounds of cocaine and methamphetamines, 936 firearms and $7.8 million dollars in the areas of the Rio Grande Valley, Del Rio, Big Bend and El Paso, the department says.
"Since Operation Lone Star began in March, DPS has deployed around one-thousand Troopers to assist at the border," it added in a statement. "DPS Troopers continue to enforce all state violations of law including, but not limited to, criminal trespassing, criminal mischief, smuggling and human trafficking."
In March, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said the "crisis at our southern border continues to escalate because of Biden Administration policies that refuse to secure the border and invite illegal immigration."
"Texas supports legal immigration but will not be an accomplice to the open border policies that cause, rather than prevent, a humanitarian crisis in our state and endanger the lives of Texans," the governor added.
On Monday, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton told Fox News that his state has been "forced into" arresting migrants crossing the border illegally because the federal government has "no interest in doing the job."

So what happens after they are apprehended? I guess 3400 had other criminal violations and can be held, but are the other 50,000 just transported to the cities and released, like the Feds do?

Treat it as a border violation case - *NOT* a
immigration case (because they are not immigrants!) and simply deport them. No Immigration courts or process, etc... Straight to the border.

Have Democratic governor Tim Walz and his DFL colleagues in the legislature turned into "oppressors"? Or is state representative John Thompson just desperate to escape the consequences of his own actions and law-enforcement record?
...Yesterday, Thompson refused to resign after several arrests for domestic abuse emerged after a traffic stop that revealed Thompson using a Wisconsin drivers license. Not only did he and his wife dispute whether any domestic abuse occurred, Thompson suggested that he was being oppressed by demands for his resignation:
Rep. John Thompson said Monday that he will not resign amid reports of previous domestic abuse allegations that his wife and a group of supporters denied in a news conference outside the State Capitol.
"If you’re not careful, the oppressor will have you believe that they’re the ones being oppressed," said Thompson, DFL-St. Paul. "One of the greatest quotes I’ve ever heard in my life is your life begins to end when you remain silent about things that matter the most. I will not remain silent. I will not be resigning."
What an idiot! Just announce that you've converted to Islam, and see all accusations of domestic abuse go away.
[Breaking911] Former Democrat Senator Barbara Boxer was attacked in Oakland’s Jack London Square Monday. The incident happened in the 300 block of 3rd Street.
“Earlier today former Senator Barbara Boxer was assaulted in the Jack London Square neighborhood of Oakland,” her representative wrote in a Tweet. “The assailant pushed her in the back, stole her cell phone and jumped in a waiting car. She is thankful that she was not seriously injured.”
The suspect remains at large. The Oakland Police Department is offering a reward of up to $2,000 leading for an arrest in this case.

Did she demand the mugger refer to her as "Senator" as she did to that general during a hearing* a few years ago?
* General referred to her as ma'am and she came back with the "call me Senator" shtick. I was always disappointed that he didn't come back with "in the military "ma'am" is always a term of respect...."Senator" not so much."

Superstar media god Simone Biles had to bow out at the Olympics because of an unexplained "medical issue." If it was some skeletal-muscular thing that is a job hazard for a gymnast, that's too bad. If it's because she failed a COVID PCR test turned up to an Olympic level of false positivity, well, ain't that a shame?

Along with his questionable win in the 2020 election, Biden has also won responsibility for COVID. He owns it now. But don't forget, he also owns fentanyl and every day that he and his fellow Democrats refuse to secure the border it's gonna get worse.

[FOX] On August 21, 62-year-old Paul "Paulie" Veneto will begin the 220-mile walk from Boston’s Logan International Airport to Ground Zero in New York City.
However, he won’t just be walking. Veneto, a former flight attendant from Braintree, Massachusetts, will be pushing a beverage cart the entire way to honor his colleagues who died 20 years ago in the September 11 attacks.
"They were heroes," Veneto told Fox News. "They were the first, first responders of 9/11 ... and they should be recognized as that."
[Western Journal] After nearly eight months of questions and controversy surrounding the events of Jan. 6, the most prominent question remains unanswered: Who killed Ashli Babbitt?
Michelle Witthoeft, Babbitt’s mother, says Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi is responsible for her daughter’s death.
"My daughter was a California constituent, and Nancy Pelosi not only, I feel like, orchestrated the death of my daughter."
"I’ve reached out to Nancy Pelosi’s office several times, and she has yet to call me back because she’s too busy playing in her clubhouse with all of her elite people," Witthoeft said.
She also reminded Nancy of her place in the government.
Despite the many claims of violence that occurred on Jan. 6, evidence has yet to surface suggesting Babbitt herself was reckless or threatening.
[Neon Nettle via Rantingly] Taxpayers are footing the bill for Democrat Joe Biden's attempts at suspending or stopping the border wall construction.
According to a new report, the Biden administration is plowing $3 million a day, an estimated $1.8 billion so far, into stopping the border wall construction.
Biden ordered his administration to halt construction on the day he was sworn in.
The halt was only supposed to last 60 days but has since lasted over 180 days.
The Biden admin has not given any signal about when the results of the review will be known or whether construction will resume.
Republicans recently found that suspension initially cost $6 million a day, which was later reduced to $3 million a day following layoffs of the Department of Defense contractors.
[AmericanMind] Americans are beginning to realize that their military leaders are failing them. Even if politicians fail to demand better of them, we can and should still make our opinion known. Our generals are, far too often, soft, coddled elites and unthinking ideologues. It is time for the American people to start cyberbullying their generals.

They were loved by the people because their armies fought against totalitarians and for Democracy. We now have a tyrant government. Today's generals are our enemies.

[Jpost] The ministry claimed that the alleged agents intended to use the weapons in order to carry out assassinations.
Iran’s Intelligence Ministry claimed that it has arrested a network of Mossad agents and seized a heavy shipment of weapons and ammunition after they entered Iran through its western border, according to Fars News Agency.
Were they also bringing in spy squirrels and swarms of drone flies?
The ministry claimed that the alleged agents intended to use the weapons during the ongoing protests taking place throughout Iran in order to carry out assassinations and that Israel attempted to carry out “acts of sabotage” in various places during the recent presidential elections.
The ministry stated that the Mossad network in the area was “hit hard” after Iran managed to thwart the alleged sabotage attempts. The seized weapons included pistols, grenades and shotguns, according to the ministry, which added that some of the weapons have been used to “provoke clashes” during protests.
The Intelligence Ministry thanked the people of Iran for their “constant vigilance” and called on all citizens to be more vigilant and aware of “suspicious offers,” especially on the Internet.
The announcement comes as protests continue across Iran for a third week in light of a severe drought and water crisis in southwestern Iran, and the day after anti-government protests broke out in Tehran. A video shared on social media showed protesters marching down the streets of the capital on Monday shouting slogans such as “Death to the dictator” and “Neither Gaza nor Lebanon: I will sacrifice my life for Iran.”
Additionally on Tuesday, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that it had killed two “terrorists” and captured another in the West Azerbaijan province in northwestern Iran. The IRGC claimed that the three member team planned to carry out “sabotage and anti-security measures,” according to Fars.
Three additional suspects who intended to protect the “terrorists” were also arrested, according to the report. A “considerable amount” of weapons, ammunition and explosives were seized in the arrest, according to Fars.
On Monday, the Judiciary Office in the Fars Province announced that 11 members of a “terrorist-takfiri group” controlled by leaders located outside of Iran were arrested in the Fars Province. An additional 25 individuals connected to the group were arrested in other provinces in a coordinated operation, according to the announcement.
“Takfiri” is a term used by Iran and pro-Iranian groups to refer to hard-line, Islamist militants.
The Judiciary Office added that the group had released a number of video clips on the Internet to spread terror and declare their existence. The office did not state what the name of the group was or where exactly its leaders are located.
“The group intended to carry out simultaneous terrorist operations in several provinces of the country which was plotted with the intelligence and financial cooperation of two intelligence services of the European countries and certain regional states but they were thwarted, thanks to the vigilance of judicial officials,” said the head of the Judiciary Office, according to Fars.

Reports have shown that its sensors are disproportionately placed in minority communities
If you load the city of Chicago into your Geographic Information System (GIS) and draw polygons around the minority neighborhoods, you would find most of the Shot Spotter sites within those polygons. So yeah, it's totally racist.
If you load the city of Chicago into your GIS and drew polygons around neighborhoods with an above-average number of shootings, you would find most of the Shot Spotter sites within those polygons. That's just practical. No need for a Shot Spotter if there are no shots, right?

[Daily Caller via ZERO] By 2017, France had been 'kicked out' of the lab, and cooperation had ceased, leading French officials to once again warn the US State Department of 'grave concerns' as to Chinese motivations, former State official David Asher told the Daily Caller.
The State Department alleged in January 2021, at the end of the Trump administration, that the Wuhan lab had engaged in classified research on behalf of the Chinese military since at least 2017.
The State Department did not respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment.
On Thursday, China said it would not allow the World Health Organization to inspect the lab further. China has blocked the WHO from accessing important records at the lab. -DCNF
"The Chinese basically sucked State into its honey pot operation to gain access to U.S. technology, knowledge, and material support. Classic. Just as they have done in every sector," said Asher.
According to USAID, the US Agency for International Development provided $1.1 million to US-based NGO EcoHealth Alliance for a sub-agreement with the Wuhan Institute of Virology - on top of millions received from the Department of Defense's Defense Threat Reduction Agency, and $600,000 annual grant from Dr. Anthony Fauci's National Institutes of Health.
In short, after the Obama administration paused Gain-of-Function research, US entities funneled money through EcoHealth to continue it, despite France's warning.
According to Asher, the NIH, DoD and USAID should have ceased federal funding in 2015.

[Free Beacon] A Michigan Democratic state representative spent $221 in campaign funds at a strip club, according to the lawmaker's financial disclosures.
Rep. Jewell Jones's latest quarterly disclosures list a March "constituent meeting" at the Pantheion Club in Dearborn, Mich. The venue is a topless dancing club and claims to be "the oldest and most established gentlemens [sic] club in Michigan."
The listed purpose for the strip club expense described the meeting as a discussion of "potential economic projects" in Inkster, Mich., which Jones represents in the state house.
Jones, who sits on the legislature's regulatory reform committee, has spent more than $6,400 of his campaign's funds this year at restaurants for ostensibly work-related meetings. One expenditure listed in the disclosures describes a March "dinner meeting with other legislators" at a restaurant in Las Vegas where Jones spent nearly $700.

BLUF:
[American Thinker] Equally evident is that we are endowed with different levels of skill and talent. Therefore, it’s downright disgraceful to mock billionaires as "policy mistakes," after all, entrepreneurship inherently leads to inequality.
Despite American Privilege, despite affirmative action, despite a multitude of DEI programs, despite massive assistance to help the needy, there remains an achievement gap. Unfortunately, pandering politicians pay no mind for fear of offending constituents’ sensibilities; when underperformance is addressed, it is usually in the context of inequality, rather than complacency. So many minorities succeed under meritocracy, without the necessity to be superhuman, that it undermines the progressive mantra of systemic racism.
Hopefully, those who accept personal responsibility will achieve equality in America’s middle class.

..they've been doing that for decades. Computerworld was a trade newspaper in the 80s. It often featured full column ads for ITs listing a long, very long small print of skills wanted in the applicant. Of course no one had all of those. It was simply a means to comply with the ritual to get foreign applicants to fill the jobs as no one in the feds various agencies would follow up and check the selected candidate skills vs the ads. They were destroying any incentive to spend years in technical education only to find no job out there. These were not liberal arts degrees without any practical applications.
[PJ] Remember when Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) was amazed by a garbage disposal and the idea that you can grow food in the ground? Many of us tittered and guffawed. Instead, they learned the importance of pronouns and social justice activism. It seems that many students leave a college clueless about budgeting and what to do when you can’t afford DoorDash.

[Washington Examiner] Rep. Kevin Brady, who played a leading role in passing the sweeping Republican 2017 tax cuts, said companies will move overseas if the Biden administration succeeds in implementing its tax proposals.
Brady, the top Republican on the powerful Ways and Means Committee, told the Washington Examiner during an expansive interview that the Democratic tax agenda would have dire repercussions for the country. He said that it would signal a return to the "old days" of the tax code when corporate inversions were grabbing headlines.
The Texas Republican said that "without question," there will be a new wave of corporate inversions if President Joe Biden follows through on hiking the corporate tax rate from 21% to 28% (the 2017 tax cuts lowered the rate from 35%). Biden has also proposed raising the top individual income tax rate to 39.6% and taxing capital gains for households making more than $1 million as ordinary income.
Brady also said there will be more long-term decisions by companies to move their research and development, their intellectual property, their manufacturing, and their headquarters overseas.

[DW] Officials said the attack by unidentified shooters on cycle of violences "targeted civilians" in Banibangou — near the jihadist-plagued tri-border region spanning Niger, Mali and Burkina Faso ...The country in west Africa that they put where Upper Volta used to be. Its capital is Oogadooga, or something like that. Its president is currently Blaise Compaoré, who took office in 1987 and will leave office feet first, one way or the other...
Armed men killed 14 civilians in an attack on a village in western Niger, the government said on Monday.
The area near Niger's restive border with Mali is prone to jihadist attacks.
WHAT WE KNOW ABOUT THE ATTACK
The attack took place on Sunday when shooters "targeted civilians, killing 14, including nine working in fields," the Interior Ministry said, adding that one person was maimed.
Gunmen on motorbikes shot up around 3 p.m. in a village in the Banibangou district, about 50 kilometers (30 miles) from the border with Mali, according to the ministry.
An investigation was underway to bring trial those responsible for "these cowardly and barbaric attacks," the ministry said.
VIOLENCE PLAGUES TRI-BORDER REGION Banibangou is located in what is known as the three-borders region, between Niger, Burkina Faso and Mali.
For years, the area has been the center of deadly attacks by jihadist groups linked to al-Qaeda and the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... group.
Similar attacks have repeatedly occurred in the region despite security efforts by authorities. Gunmen on motorbikes flee across the border into Mali after their raids.
An attack by suspected jihadists in the same district left 66 people dead in March.
Last month, 19 people were killed in an attack on villages in Tondikiwindi, in a neighboring district.
Some 1,200 Chadian soldiers are deployed in the three-borders region by the G5 Sahel group — Burkina Faso, Chad, Mali, Mauritania and Niger.
[FoxNews] President Biden called a reporter a "pain in the neck" Monday in the Oval Office for asking him a question that was off his preferred topic of Iraq.
Sitting in the Oval Office with Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, Biden smiled as NBC's Kelly O'Donnell asked him to comment on Veterans Affairs Secretary Denis McDonough's announcement that front-line VA workers would be required to get a coronavirus vaccine.
"You are such a pain in the neck, but I’m going to answer your question because we’ve known each other for so long," he said. "It has nothing to do with Iraq … I'll answer your question. Yes, Veteran Affairs is going to, in fact, require that all doctors working in their facilities are going to have to be vaccinated."
[Rudaw] New Zealand announced Monday it would accept a woman linked to the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... group (ISIS) and her two children, after Australia cancelled the former dual national's citizenship.
The New Zealand-born woman -- widely identified as Suhayra Aden -- moved to Australia at age six and was a dual national until Canberra stripped her of citizenship last year.
At the time, Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison said "holy warriors who fought with terrorism organizations" forfeited the privilege of citizenship.
Aden moved from Australia to Syria in 2014 and lived under ISIS.
The 26-year-old told news organization ABC at a Syrian refugee camp in 2019 that she had been married to two Swedish ISIS fighters.
New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said cancelling her citizenship would leave them stateless.
"They are not The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...just another cheapjack Moslem dictatorship, brought to you by the Moslem Brüderbund... 's responsibility, and with Australia refusing to accept the family, that makes them ours," she said in a statement Monday.
Ardern, who previously hit out at Canberra for "abdicating responsibility" in the case, said the woman and her children would now be returned to New Zealand at Turkey's request.
While not revealing details about the arrangements, the PM said "great care" was being taken to minimise any risk to New Zealanders.
"Planning by agencies has been twofold -— to ensure all appropriate steps are in place to address potential security concerns and to have the right services in place to support reintegration, with particular focus on the wellbeing of the children," she said.
Aden and her children have been held in Turkey since crossing the border from Syria in February.
After detaining the family, the Ottoman Turkish defence ministry identified her as a "ISIS terrorist" and said they had been caught trying to enter illegally.
[IsraelTimes] The army intercepted an infiltrator who tried to swim from Leb ...an Iranian colony situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozeen flavors of Christians. It is the home of Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers, a practice dating back to the heady human sacrifice days of Baal Moloch. In 2020 Hezbollahblew up a considerable portion of Beirut and many of its inhabitants when its ammonium nitrate faci8lity exploded. They blamed it on... somebody else. It wasn't them though. Trust them on that... into Israel via the sea overnight, the Israel Defense Forces said in a statement on Monday.
IDF lookouts spotted the suspect, and naval vessels were dispatched.
Troops arrested the suspect close to the point where he crossed the water border, the IDF said in a Monday statement. Israel and Lebanon have no diplomatic relations and are technically in a state of war, with a disputed maritime border.
The suspect was found to be unarmed and was taken away for questioning.
It marked the fourth time in recent days that infiltrators have tested Israel’s borders.

[ToloNews] The Afghan government has lost 2.7 billion Afs (over $33 million) in customs revenue over the last four weeks as key border towns have fallen to the Taliban ...the Pashtun equivalent of men... during this period, an official from the Ministry of Finance said.
Over the past month, the government has lost control of key border towns including Islam Qala in Herat ...a venerable old Persian-speaking city in western Afghanistan, populated mostly by Tadjiks, which is why it's not as blood-soaked as areas controlled by Pashtuns... , Abu Nasr Farahi in Farah, Spin Boldak in Kandahar, Ai Khanum in Takhar, Dand Patan in Paktia and Shirkhan in Kunduz province.
The Finance Ministry said that the government has no control over seven customs departments in border towns.
The Islam Qala customs area is one of the biggest trade gateways between Afghanistan and Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate JewsZionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol... and has been under Taliban control for the last 20 days.
Rafi Tabe, a front man for the Ministry of Finance, said the collections from Jawza (May 22 to June 22, 2021) was 7.3 billion (at least $91 million) but this was reduced to 4.6 billion Afs ($57 million) in Saratan (June 23 to July 23).
"The customs revenue is dependent on trading. It will have a negative impact on revenue if there are issues in trading," he said.
Private sector representatives said the issues around the border towns have affected traders’ willingness to import goods to the country through these gateways.
"The market will face lack of commodities and necessary goods. We will face a worrisome situation if this is not prevented through necessary mechanisms," said Shafiqullah Ataee, acting CEO of the Chamber of Trade and Investment.
Some investors in Kunduz said the imports through Shir Khan Port, a key trade gateway to Tajikistan, are significantly low.
"Those who imported (goods) through Shir Khan Port are not here right now. Most of them are in Kabul," said Mohammad Nasim Rasuli, an investor in Kunduz.
Investors suggested that the government should take control of income-generating border towns to prevent further harm to importers.
This comes as there is a 50 percent increase in commodities prices, and fuel prices in local markets are increasing every day.

[Jpost] A mix of intelligence and technological capabilities could be the key to escaping the next mega hack, former Mossad and former German intelligence BND chiefs told the Jerusalem Post on Monday.

sraeli right-wing proposals to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict by transforming Jordan into a Palestinian homeland.
Ah, ethnic cleansing. Totally not evil.
Oh wait ethnic cleansing is totally evil, and anyone who advocates it is a monster. When you find yourself copying Milosevic and Hitler, it's time to spend a few years in silence contemplating where you went wrong.

Given that all it takes to be considered a “Palestinian” is to have arrived no later than 1945 — many came to get jobs working for the Jews, while others came to prey upon them in the traditional way — what it pleases the idiot to call ethnic cleansing is really only sending them back home to Grandma and Grandpa on the other side of the border. Even the head of the PLO, Yasser Arafat himself, was born and educated in Cairo, where his family owned land. He and his friends organized Fatah, the core group of the PLO, while living in Cairo and Kuwait, after he was drafted to serve in the Egyptian army because he was an Egyptian citizen.

[NATION.PK] The International Union for Moslem Scholars (IUMS) rejected any "coup" in Tunisia, as the country’s president sacked the country’s prime minister and suspended parliament. IUMS is headquartered in Doha and affiliated with the Moslem Brotherhood.
"We are against any coup even if it is carried out by an Islamic group. Our legitimate position is clear," IUMS Secretary-General Ali al-Qaradaghi said in a Twitter post following the announcement by Tunisian President Kais Saied late Sunday that he has fully assumed executive authority.
Saied dismissed the government of Prime Minister Hichem Mechichi, froze parliament and assumed the executive authority with the assistance of a new prime minister.
Qaradaghi warned the Tunisian people to be wary of putschists' traps.
"Tunisia and its great people are too big and conscious to be swallowed up by the putschists and their supporters," he said.
Meanwhile, ...back at the secret hideout, Scarface Al sneeringly put his proposition to little Nell... soldiers deployed at parliament prevented Parliament Speaker Rached Ghannouchi and accompanying politicians from entering the building.
Ghannouchi, for his part, denounced Saied's move as a "full-fledged coup" against the Tunisian constitution, revolution, and freedoms in the country.
Tunisia has been gripped by a deep crisis since Jan. 16, when Mechichi announced a cabinet reshuffle but Saied refused to hold a ceremony to swear in the new ministers. Tunisia also faces an unprecedented spread of the COVID-19 strains in most states, causing a rapid spread of the virus.
Tunisia is seen as the only Arab country that succeeded in carrying out a democratic transition among other Arab countries that also witnessed popular revolutions that toppled the ruling regimes, including Egypt, Libya, and Yemen ...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. The coup is an attempt to quarantine the Ennahda Islamist movement, a Muslim Brotherhood chapter. IUMS is another Muslim Brotherhood front. [OneIndia] The improvised bomb (IED) dropped using a drone along the Indo-Pak border on July 23 was meant for triggering at a crowded market in Jammu region, and it shows that Pakistain is maintaining its supply lines to various terror groups despite the February ceasefire agreement, Jammu and Kashmir ...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there.... Police chief Dilbag Singh said on Sunday.
Singh, a 1987-batch IPS officer, said terror groups such as Lashkar-e-Taiba ...the Army of the Pure, an Ahl-e-Hadith terror organization founded by Hafiz Saeed. LeT masquerades behind the Jamaat-ud-Dawa facade within Pakistain and periodically blows things up and kills people in India. Despite the fact that it is banned, always an interesting concept in Pakistain, the organization remains an blatant tool and perhaps an arm of the ISI... (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) have been running short of arms and ammunition after the police and other security agencies managed to choke it by arresting many of their modules of Over Ground Workers (OGWs).
With the shooting down of another drone, the security agencies have been able to intercept around 33 sorties out of roughly 41 sorties which were made so far, the police chief said.
"We see that some of the state actors in Pakistain have adopted the use of drones for dropping arms, ammunition and even cash to cater to the demands of terror groups since September last year," he told PTI here.
The police managed to shoot down a hexa-copter that had come from Pakistain in Kanachak area of Jammu region along the International Border on July 23. It carried an IED, weighing five kg, that was almost ready to be used and the intelligence suggested that the Jaish-e-Mohammed terror group wanted to trigger it in a crowded place in Jammu for inflicting maximum casualties, he said.
The police chief said that despite the ceasefire agreement along the Line of Control and the International Border since February this year, some "state actors" have been helping Pakistain-based terror groups operating in Jammu and Kashmir, by trying to maintain their supply chain of arms, ammunition and cash.
The police chief said there was a difference of single digit in the flight controller serial numbers of the drone shot down on July 23 and another brought down a year ago in Kathua''s Hiranagar sector in Jammu region.
Some parts of the assembled unmanned aerial vehicle brought down last week were from China and Taiwan.
He said since drones have added a new dimension to the security threats from terror groups, more efforts are required to ensure this new and emerging threat is neutralised effectively.
The police chief had earlier said that the signatures of kaboom used in the June 27 bombing of an Indian Air Force station clearly indicated involvement of the ordnance factory of Pakistain in fabricating it.
"Drones have come recently, say in September last year. First, it came as a big surprise, but we were able to gear up our resources to counter that threat. I am happy to report that in cases of use of drones carrying weapons and narcotics and other explosives... our security grid, intelligence grid of police and security agencies were very effective in taking countermeasures," the Director General of Police (DGP) said.
With the shooting down of another drone, the security agencies have been able to intercept around 33 sorties out of roughly 41 sorties which were made so far, the police chief said.
[AMERICANTHINKER] For many decades, the quadrennial Olympic games were grand moments of patriotism. Even as the Soviet teams used mountains of government money to train their athletes, our plucky amateurs somehow kept winning. There was a reason the Miracle on Ice was a miracle. Of late, though, our athletes are no longer amateurs; the Soviets are gone; we worship at the Chinese shrine; the Olympics are on every two years and broadcast 24/7, making for complete over-saturation; and too many of our Olympic athletes hate the country they're representing. For that reason, those Americans who love their country the most have cared the least when Americans have fallen flat in Tokyo.
The first occasion for an anti-Olympic celebration came when the women's soccer team suffered a humiliating defeat to Sweden, with the Swedish team beating the Americans 3-0. That score, in a game renowned for sometimes having only one score during the entire game, was a blow-out. The Americans didn't just lose; they were humiliated. And as many conservatives felt, it couldn't happen to a more deserving bunch of self-centered, unpleasant, unpatriotic women. Brigitte Gabriel's response is representative of the conservative view:
The next to go down in flames, on Sunday, was the men's basketball team, which embarrassingly lost to La Belle France. Who loses basketball to La Belle France? And once again, because the NBA was one of the leaders in using the Black Lives Matter movement as the occasion to disrespect the country that gave its athletes such extraordinary fame and wealth, Americans didn't care. The patriots not only were unmoved, but also did the unthinkable and celebrated an American loss at the Olympics:
The American athletes continued to offend at least half of America when the American swimmers slobbered all over Mrs. Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S., who gives the geriatric a bad name... , chanting "Dr. Jill Biden" to the woman who is a combination of Lady Macbeth and Edith Wilson as she sat in the stands.
I hope they all lose, every last one of them, and lest anyone ask, "But what about the athletes who love America?," here’s my answer: if you belong to a business — say, the American Olympic sports franchise — that hates its customers, the fact that you, personally, don't hate those customers is irrelevant. The customers are going to hate you. If you dislike that reality, it's time to get into another business or start pushing back against the haters within your organization.

[ToloNews] Resulting from a spike in violence in May that corresponded with the withdrawal of foreign troops from Afghanistan, the civilian casualties reported in the country for the first half of 2021 have reached record levels, the UN said in a report released on Monday.
The UN has warned that without significant de-escalation, 2021 will witness the highest ever number of documented civilian casualties in a single year since UNAMA recording began.
The UN report said that 1,659 non-combatants were killed and 3,254 others were maimed, which is a 47 percent increase compared to the same period in 2020.
Of serious concern is the acute rise in the number of civilians killed and injured in the period from May 1, with almost as many civilian casualties in the May-June period as recorded in the entire preceding four months, according to the report.
The number of civilian casualties during May and June —783 killed and 1,609 maimed--is the highest for those months since UNAMA began its systematic documentation in 2009.
The period January-April 2021 saw 2,791 civilian casualties (876 killed and 1,915 injured), said the UN.
The report noted that what is"particularly shocking" and of "deep concern" is that women, boys and girls made up "close to half of all civilian casualties in the first half of 2021," it said.
"Comprising 46 percent of all civilian casualties, 32 percent were children — 1,682 in total (468 killed and 1,214 injured) and 14 percent were women — 727 in total (219 killed and 508 injured)," the report said, adding: "It is sickening to report that more women and more children were killed and maimed than ever before recorded by UNAMA for the first half of any calendar year."
"Anti-Government Elements (AGEs) were responsible for 64 percent of the total civilian casualties: 39 percent by Taliban ...Arabic for students... , nearly nine percent by ISIS and 16 percent by undetermined AGEs," the report said.
"Pro-Government Forces (PGFs) were responsible for 25 percent of civilian casualties: 23 percent by Afghan national security forces, and two percent by pro-Government gangs or undetermined PGFs," according to the report.
UNAMA attributed 11 percent of all civilian casualties to "crossfire" during ground engagements where the exact party responsible could not be determined and other incident types, including unattributable unwent kaboom! ordnance/explosive remnants of war.
UNAMA is also concerned about the "increasing number of reports of killing, ill-treatment, persecution and discrimination in communities affected by the current fighting and its aftermath," the report said, adding that it is "particularly important, especially during times of heightened conflict, that all parties respect the human rights ...which are usually entirely different from personal liberty... and dignity of people and prevent such abuses and violations."

and you know, all this time I thought the US forces in Iraq and Afghanistan were the only ones to cause civilian casualties. Or that's what the MSM told me. Who would have thought ?

[BESACENTER.ORG] Over the past decades, Hezbollah has built a well-oiled, multibillion-dollar money-laundering and drug-trafficking machine in Latin America that cleans organized crime’s ill-gotten gains through multiple waypoints in the Western hemisphere, West Africa, Europe, and the Middle East. Traditionally, Hezbollah used the TBA’s
...the Tri-Border Area (TBA), where the frontiers of Argentina, Brazil, and Paraguay meet...
illicit economy as a hub for money-laundering—less so for cocaine trafficking. For years, Hezbollah-linked narcos in the TBA moved only relatively small quantities of cocaine. Multi-ton shipments are another story. The large cocaine shipments tied to Hezbollah’s money-laundering networks used to flow from Colombia and Venezuela ...a country in Central America that sits on an enormous pool of oil. Formerly the most prospereous country in the region, it became infested with Commies sniffing almost unlimited wealth. It turned out the wealth wasn't unlimited, the economy collapsed under the clownish Hugo Chavez, the murder rate exceeded places like Honduras and El Salvador. A significant proportion of the populace refugeed to Colombia and points south... , and with good reason. Colombia remains Latin America’s largest producer of the white powder, and Venezuela, under the Iran-friendly narco-regime of Nicolás Maduro ...Commie el presidente para la vida of Venezuela, successor to Hugo Chavez. Nick is his country's attempt at producing a Muammar Qadaffy, except that even though his country's sitting on an enormous puddle of oil, he can't manage to get it out of the ground. Unlike Qadaffy and Hugo Chavez, he's not dead yet... , is a key transit point for cocaine shipments. If Hezbollah is now involved in establishing a major cocaine supply line in the TBA, something must have changed in its modus operandi. Have Hezbollah’s trade routes shifted?
As if that were not puzzling enough, here is another mystery the media revelations leave unsolved. By December 2017, Bahmad—once a film producer known for his skill as a propagandist but with seemingly no business experience—had left the area, never to return. GTG Global Trading Group S.A., the company he established only a few months before disappearing, lies dormant to this day. Why did Bahmad vanish before the first consignment of his product shipped from Paraguay? Did local authorities thwart his mission? Did someone snitch on him? Or did the producer produce—that is, did he accomplish his mission, leaving no reason for him to stay in the TBA? Did he fool everyone, establish his supply line, and place it in trusted hands before vanishing?
Based on dozens of interviews with confidential sources, documents obtained from regional intelligence informants, and open-source research, this study reveals the singular story of Nasser Abbas Bahmad and his foray into Latin America. His story in turn illustrates how Hezbollah established its largest financial laundromat in Latin America, and how, despite efforts by US and South American law enforcement agencies, it is running at full speed and bankrolling the arming of enemies of America and Israel.

[NYPOST] A Connecticut landlord allegedly sneaked into his tenant’s apartment to sniff her underwear — and the disturbing act was caught on camera, police said.Jorge Orellana-Arias, of East Haven, was charged Thursday with third-degree burglary after the woman told cops she had video of him inside her unoccupied apartment several times rifling through her and her daughter’s clothing, the Hartford Courant reported.
The woman first suspected something was wrong in May and started "barricading adjoining doors" in an effort to thwart the alleged intruder. But Orellana-Arias then used another door to get inside the residence, police said.
The woman set up hidden cameras inside the apartment to prove her intuition and the footage showed Orellana-Arias going through her and her daughter’s clothing, Sherlocks said.
"She stated that the camera caught Orellana-Arias entering her apartment through a side door, before proceeding to both bedrooms where he would locate female underwear," police said in a statement. "The video, which was provided to officers, shows Orellana-Arias bringing female garments to his nose, apparently in an effort to sniff them."
The woman also reported that Orellana-Arias entered the residence at one point while her daughter was home alone, police said.
He was apparently "startled" by the girl’s presence and left the apartment "immediately," police said.
The allegedly lecherous landlord was arrested Thursday before posting $25,000 bond. It’s unclear if he’s hired an attorney who could comment on the allegations. He’s due in court on Sept. 14, the Courant reported.

[NATION.PK] Pakistain came into being on the basis of the two nation theory which reaffirmed that Moslems and Hindus belong to two different religions, cultures and traditions. India now fully understands that it cannot defeat Pakistain conventionally and instead, has now subjected Pakistain to Hybrid and 5th Generation Warfare. With this backdrop let us discuss on going conspiracies against Pakistain by India and other powers.
Firstly, India is using its media and social media for spreading fake news in an attempt to destabilise Pakistain. Different themes and narratives are being used as the country remains busy in plotting against Pakistain. Recently a story was promoted on a so called attempted coup in army. Amjad Ayub Mirza of Pak origin was used for this news by most Indian channels. Amjad is from Mirpur, Azad Kashmir ...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there.... and lives in Scotland. From there he runs a radio channel with his sister. He frequently appears on Indian TV channels as champion for the rights of GB despite the fact he has no clue about the intricacies of the issue of GB and only speaks about what is fed to him by RAW

"Firstly, India is using its media and social media for spreading fake news in an attempt to destabilise Pakistain."
No. That's untrue. This is what Indian news looks like:
[NYPOST] A California deputy was shot dead and another wounded while attempting to free hostages being held by a gunman during an hours-long standoff, according to officials.
Kern County SWAT officer Phillip Campas — a Marine veteran — was killed while trying to storm a house in Wasco Sunday afternoon amid reports that hostages were "down," officials said.
Another SWAT officer was also hit, suffering "moderate" injuries, Kern County Lt. Joel Swanson told news hounds at the scene.
Deputies had first responded around 1 p.m. Sunday to calls of "possibly subjects down" inside the house — with "shooting in the background" heard in some of the 911 calls, Swanson said from the scene, about 25 miles northwest of Bakersfield.
"When deputies arrived ... a subject inside the residence began shooting at the deputies," Swanson said.
"The deputies at that time were not struck but took cover," he added, with the entire neighborhood locking down as the SWAT team was called.
The SWAT team attempted to enter the house just before 3 p.m. and "the subject began firing at them from inside of the residence," Swanson said.
"Two of our deputies were struck," he said, with union officials and neighborhood departments among those identifying the fallen officer as Campas.

What does any California murderer have to worry about?
NOTE: As of March 2019, all California executions have been halted by the far far far left Governor Gavin Newsom.
So if you are down on your luck, about to homeless and living on the streets, need medical care and treatments, starving, Pissed off with a Government official, a fellow worker/boss at a job or just want to torture and then kill a cheating spouse? Just murder someone and all your worries are covered by the taxpayers for the rest of your life.

Some Added Data:
The Ex-Husband/Murderer was violating a domestic restraining order and arrived armed with a AK-47 and handgun at the 1718 First St. address.
On arriving, one of the 3 victims upon seeing him, called 911 before being murderer.
The restraining order prohibited him from owning firearms. So once again a Criminal did not obey the law. The usual result being innocent citizens and LEO's died for the stupidity of Touchy-Feely Agenda Pandering Politicians.
The Murderer/Ex-Husband was a 41 year old male.
He proceeded to murder his family, which included the Ex-Wife, and 2 sons (24 & 17).
Just before 18:30 hrs, the murderer, still armed with the AK-47 rifle and a handgun, climbed on the roof where he was exterminated by deputies.
Given the Media's 100% censorship of Victim names and etc..
Lends me to believe a greater Agenda is the order of the day for reasons yet known.
[NATION.PK] Pakistain Moslem League Nawaz (PML-N) Vice-President Maryam Nawaz has out rightly refused to accept the results of the Azad Kashmir Legislative Assembly polls as Pakistain Tehrik-e-Insaf ...a political party in Pakistan. PTI was founded by former Pakistani cricket captain and philanthropist Imran Khan. The party's slogan is Justice, Humanity and Self Esteem, each of which is open to widely divergent interpretations.... (PTI) sweeps the elections.
Taking to Twitter, PML-N Vice-President said that her party fought hard but it is not easy to deal with fraud.
"I have not accepted the results and will not. I have not even acknowledged the results of this fake government. Congratulations to the workers and voters. What will be the course of action on this shameless fraud, the party will decide soon, God willing," Maryam tweeted.
"PML-N has fought a very good election, has fought hard. It is not easy to deal with all the centers of state and power and fraud. I would like to commend all the voters and workers of PML-N for their courage and bravery. I am very proud of them," she said in a subsequent tweet.
On the other hand, Chairman of Pakistain Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Baby Bhutto Zardari ...Pak dynastic politician, son of Benazir Bhutto and grandon of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. As far as is known, Bilawal has no particular talents other than being pretty and being able to memorize political slogans, but he had the good luck to be born into the right family and he hasn't been assassinated yet... on Monday said that his party has emerged as largest opposition party in Azad Kashmir despite irregularities.
[BarStoolSports] QUICK REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD WATCH RUGBY SEVENS:
- The United States is very good
- They have some of the fastest players in the world
- The games only last 14 game minutes, 30 real-time minutes
- It is a super easy sport to understand rules-wise
The United States is pretty f...... good at Rugby Sevens. They're also in the Group of Death at the Tokyo Olympics and just qualified (2-0 start) for the knockout stage.
You're a damn fool if you aren't watching this team play!
Before we get into the excitement of the first two matches for the United States, here is a Rugby Sevens rules primer for those new to the sport..
The sport was added to the Olympic program for the Rio 2016 Games and the United States just narrowly missed out on the knockout stage. Since then, though, the country has only gotten better at the sport and found itself ranked as high as number two in the world pre-COVID.
If you aren't convinced yet, just watch some videos of Carlin Isles and Perry Baker...
Watch the videos
Nobody in the sport is as fast as Isles, a man who runs a 100m time fast enough to qualify for the Olympic Games in Athletics. Isles, who had a contract with the Detroit Lions in 2013 before leaving for the Glasgow Warriors, also supposedly ran a 4.13 40-yard-dash, which would be the fastest time ever recorded.
Point being, Carlin Isles is the f...... man. But so is Perry Baker...
Perry Baker also broke his fibula only five months before the Games... and yet he is in Tokyo and out on the field with Team USA.
There is really no easier sport to get into for the first time at the Olympic Games as a fan than Rugby Sevens. The rules are straightforward, the United States is really good, and the matches only last 14 total minutes of game time, and around 30 minutes of real-time. Trust me, you'll be hooked.
NOTE: The real Rugby Sevens superfan, and friend of the team, is PFT Commenter, by the way...
So far so good for the Eagles of the United States...
MATCH 1: USA-19, Kenya-14
Things got dicey for the United States in their first match and they found themselves down 14-12 with Kenya walking in for a try to all but seal the deal, however...
[Daily Mail, Where America Gets Its News] Day 2 of protests. Yesterday’s report is here.
The huge crowd joined a group of protesters who stayed overnight on Sunday and held a candlelit vigil
Demonstrators descended on the capital and planned to march from the White House to the Cuban Embassy
The protesters are marking the 26th of July Movement, a Cuban national holiday commemorating the 1953 attack when Fidel Castro led his first attempt to overthrow Cuban dictator Fulgencio Batista
Now the protesters are attacking the regime, saying it is no longer their day
Republicans, including Texas Rep. Dan Crenshaw and Florida Rep. Rick Scott joined the marchers
Last week, Biden announced sanctions on the Cuban regime that have been panned as 'meaningless'

Five secret documents allegedly showing Iranian plans to hack infrastructure in Western countries', including in Europe, were publicized by Sky News late Monday.
Although there are reports of such hacks by Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol... and others in the past, it is unusual for a media organization to obtain actual internal planning documents for Unit 13, the cyber unit of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
Some of the potential hacks, which the IRGC cyber group may be planning according to the report, would be against a cargo ship's ballast water system. This could cause a ship irreparable damage.
The ballast water system helps balance the ship in certain circumstances by pumping water into special tanks on the ship, and tampering with the system could harm this crucial process.
Another Iranian plot appeared to be to hack the automatic tank gage of certain gas stations which could stop the flow of gas or in a worst case scenario, even cause a kaboom, the report said.
In addition, the 57 pages described attempts to hack maritime communications devices.
Sky News interviewed UK Defense Secretary Ben Wallace who talked more generally about the sorts of threats described in the documents as serious and clearly did not deny them.
Another anonymous source in the report said that the documents described early stages of planning for a cyber attack, but did not clarify how far along the plans went.
It was unclear who leaked the documents, but the leak appeared designed to embarrass Iran before European countries to potentially influence their views on a range of issues regarding the Islamic Theocratic Republic.
Currently there is a standoff regarding whether Iran and the US will return to the 2015 JCPOA nuclear deal and undermining EU trust in Tehran could also destabilize those already fraught negotiations.
The EU has given Iran the cold shoulder before diplomatically after terror operations from the IRGC were uncovered in continental Europe, but has not publicly retaliated using force the way that the US and Israel sometimes have (or at least where attacks were attributed to them).

[KhaamaPress] Afghanistan National Defense and Security Forces spokesperson General Ajaml Shinwarai said that the forces have conducted 154 military operations in which 1,528 turbans were killed and over 800 more maimed.
Isn’t the usual proportion lots more wounded than killed? What happened here?
During the operations conducted in 20 provinces, 16 snuffies were taken hostages, Shinwarai added.
The operations include land operations, Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... s, and artillery shells.
The spokesperson of ANDSF said that the forces have been out of defensive stance and are currently in offensive one during the latter stance some attacks have also been repelled.
On casualty of civilians he said, a large number of ANDSF operations were suspended in order to prevent civilian casualties in the country.
General Ajlam Shinwarai accused the Taliban ...mindless ferocity in a turban... of killing 14 civilians and wounding nearly thirty more during the previous week.
The claim over civilian casualty comes after UNAMA in its latest report said that the past two months were the deadliest in terms of civilian casualties.
As per the report, nearly 4,500 civilian people have been killed and maimed in Afghanistan which is the highest ever since UNAMA started recording the corpse count in 2009.
The Taliban in a statement reacted to the number and dubbed it one-sided.
[KOMONEWS] Police detectives are working overtime after a man was shot and killed Sunday night outside an apartment building in the Lake City neighborhood - Seattle's fourth homicide in less than 24 hours.
Officers and medics responded to the scene, in the 12700 block of 33rd Avenue NE, at around 10 p.m. after several 911 callers reported hearing a series of gunshots.
A security guard at the apartment building found a man with a gunshot wound to his chest and helped emergency personnel get to the victim.
Officers and medics attempted life-saving measures but the 28-year-old victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
A preliminary investigation found that the victim was returning home to his apartment when a car pulled up and multiple people opened fire, said Valerie Carson of the Seattle police.
Another person was also struck with a bullet and has a graze wound after that bullet went into one of the nearby apartments.

[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Leb ...an Iranian colony situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozen flavors of Christians. In 2020 Hezbollah blew up a considerable portion of Beirut and many of its inhabitants when its ammonium nitrate facility exploded. They blamed it on... somebody else. It wasn't them though. Trust them on that... 's Najib Mikati, a billionaire, was designated by the country's president on Monday to form a new government.
This won't be Mikati's first rodeo as Lebanon's premier. He was briefly the caretaker prime minister following the 2005 liquidation of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri.

There were 128 expressway shootings in Chicago in all of 2020, and 52 in all of 2019.
Dan Ryan Expressway, which runs from Circle Interchange with I-290 near downtown through the South Side, is perhaps the most dangerous highway in Chicago. A Jeep Wrangler was riddled with bullet holes near 37th Street on the Dan Ryan Wednesday, which marked the 43rd shooting so far this year on that roadway.

How about replacing the words 'gun violence' with 'black violence' in all reports and texts? Just a thought.
#2
Victims rarely cooperate with police and often know their assailants.
Let them sort it out on their own then. Court and detention costs are saved. Staying off the Dan Ryan is definitely a wise move. It's a win-win all around.

[GREATERKASHMIR] Security forces have started holding interactive sessions with the Village Defence Committee (VDC) members in rural areas to refresh their military skills and strengthen this civil layer of security apparatus. The development comes after a sudden rise in militancy and repeated information regarding the presence of suspected murderous Moslems in some villages of Rajouri after which Cordon and Search Operations were also going on.
VDCs were setup in rural areas of Rajouri and Poonch around two decades ago when militancy was at its peak and civilians, mostly young men, without any criminal background were given weapons after training of shooting.
The VDCs played a vital role on anti-militancy front and acted as an additional security cover in villages in addition to the security apparatus comprising security forces.
Meanwhile, ...back at the chili cook-off, Chuck reached for the green sauce... in wake of the recent incidents of militancy in Rajouri district and especially after regular intelligence as well as civil inputs regarding the movement and presence of some suspected murderous Moslems in the area, forces have started to refresh VDCs in rural areas, especially near the Line of Control (LoC) in Nowshera sector with an aim to revamp their firing skills, weapon skills as well as to strengthen the relation between VDCs and forces for better communication during anti-militancy operations. In a similar move, Army organised an interactive workshop with VDC members of Kalal village located close to the LoC in Nowshera sector of Rajouri district.
An infiltration attempt also took place in the area on 8 July in which a murderous Moslem was bumped off in Ashwini Gap area by the Army. In this interactive session organised by Kalal Army battalion, the members of VDC displayed their training prowess and skills in weapon's handling.
[AlAhram] The treaty includes provisions which will enable Britannia and La Belle France to share information concerning potential threats, mount swifter responses to serious incidents, and coordinate more efficient joint responses.
The UK-La Belle France Maritime Security Treaty was signed in Gay Paree as the defence and foreign ministers from both sides met for talks on shared security interests.
The British government emphasised that the treaty was aimed at fighting terror threats and incidents in the Channel and was not intended to tackle illegal migration.
"The intelligence and security tools this new cooperation provides will give law enforcement and our emergency responders the additional support they need to protect us all," said British Interior Minister Priti Patel.
But there has been growing concern over the number of migrants colonists making the dangerous crossing across the Channel in small boats and craft, with a record 430 arriving in England in a single day earlier this month.
The British government said "ongoing work to tackle small boat crossings in the Channel" was one issue discussed in talks between Raab and French counterpart Jean-Yves Le Drian.
In a joint statement, Britannia and La Belle France said the four ministers discussed international issues including new security challenges in the cyber domain, the Indo-Pacific region and the fight against terror in Africa as well as Syria and Iraq.

[ToloNews] Former Kapisa governor Mehrabuddin Safi said that weak coordination among public uprising forces led to the fall of many key areas to the Taliban ...mindless ferocity in a turban... in the province, including Nijrab district.
Safi said that the presence of a large number of Taliban fighters also led to the fall of the Kapisa districts.
Security forces left key parts of Nijrab districts two weeks ago, while the Tagab and Ala Sai districts in the province fell to the group earlier in the month.
Over the past two weeks, festivities have been underway in parts of Nijrab to retake the district, but no progress has been made so far. Hundreds of district residents have been displaced due to the festivities.
"Some individuals belonged to Mr. Mirdad. A large number of them. And some others are under Gul Akbar’s command, who has a presence in the Afghania and Pachagan areas. And 100 more people are from the Giyawa area in Njirab led by commander Shitab and commander Nawab," former Kapisa governor Mehrabuddin Safi said. "These forces are in fact not under a unified command."
The deputy governor of Kapisa, Aziz-ur-Rahman Tawab, was killed in a clash with the Taliban in Nijrab district on July 16. The fall of key parts of the district happened three days after his death.
Officials and MPs in Kapisa said that at least 1,300 members of the public uprising forces have joined the fight against the Taliban, but sources from the province said the numbers are far less than reported.
Sources said that some Kapisa politicians and officials have taken at least 20 million Afs to fund these forces over the last month, but only a small number of these forces are on the frontlines against the Taliban.
"They have been divided. Some to Mr. A, and some to Mr. B ... 100 persons belong to one and 300 belong to another," said Haidar Haidar, a Kapisa resident.
However, there's no worse danger than telling a mother her baby is ugly... Mir Dad Nijrabi, an MP from Kapisa, leads members of the public uprising forces and said these forces have fought against the Taliban and have made sacrifices.
"They are on the ground right now. They are fighting the enemy and none of them have surrendered to the enemy or handed over their equipment and weapons," Nijrabi said.
[Breitbart] On Monday morning, Border Patrol agents were once again met by hundreds of migrants walking to the fence after entering the United States illegally. The groups, mostly Haitian, numbered more than 300 in the early daylight hours. Mixed in were family units with small children and a significant number of single adults.
As the groups walked from the border, agents struggled to get basic biographic information and prepare the hundreds to be transported to a nearby station for further processing. As the morning progressed, buses and vans were fully loaded. Several were driven by agents who would otherwise be out on patrol. Other buses were driven by contract detention and transportation officers.
As the migrants were being processed for transportation and departure, more groups came from the river. Aircraft from the Texas Highway Patrol could be seen circling as agents received the migrants from the fence gate. The pace contributes to the overcrowding in most area Border Patrol facilities.
In the last week, nearly 2,000 migrants were apprehended at this spot near Del Rio, according to a source within CBP. The source says the influx is becoming increasingly harder to handle and worries that many of the stations in the vicinity do not have enough agents to process migrants before the next group arrives hours later.
In June, the Del Rio Sector apprehended more than 30,000 migrants. This fiscal year to date, more than 149,000 migrants were apprehended in the sector.
The typically Haitian, Venezuelan, and Cuban groups will be released once fully processed by Border Patrol.
[FOXNEWS] A Minnesota fourth-grade student and her mother expressed concern to their local school board after her class was given an "equity survey" and students were told not to tell her parents about the activity.
Fourth-grader Hayley Yasgar told "Fox & Friends" on Monday, sitting alongside her mother Kelsey, that the questions were confusing and it made her "very nervous and uncomfortable" when the students were told not to tell their parents.
According to a video uploaded by Alphanews, when students didn’t understand some of the survey questions, they were told by a teacher in the Sartell-St. Stephen School District to not repeat the survey questions to their parents.
"The survey asked questions that some students didn’t understand. Even after hearing an explanation from their teacher, some still couldn't comprehend the survey questions," The Center Square reported.

[ToloNews] Afghan forces retook control of Kaldar district in the northern province of Balkh as festivities continue near the provincial centers in Ghazni, Faryab and Takhar provinces.
The Hairatan border town, which is a key trade gateway and a port between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan, is located in Kaldar district. The district is located along the Amu River and shares a border with Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
So much for Taliban boasts about controlling 90% of the Afghan border. Here’s hoping government and local forces can hold on to the district.
The district fell to the Taliban ...Arabic for students... a month ago. It was retaken by security forces and members of the public uprising forces on Monday.
"Our forces have made good progress. We will make efforts to protect civilians," Balkh governor’s front man Adil Shah Adil said.
"We had festivities in 25 provinces in which the Afghan forces made progress," said ANDSF front man Gen. Ajmal Omar Shinwari.
Sources said that parts of Maimana city in Faryab witnessed mortar and rocket attacks by the Taliban on Sunday night.
The sources said that 16 people including three non-combatants were killed in the attacks.
Ghazni residents said festivities on the outskirts of the city of Ghazni have affected their daily life, especially during the night.
"People don’t feel safe. They are afraid of mines, and bullets that might hit them when they are out," said Abdul Rahim, a resident of Ghazni.
"There is fear among the people when they are traveling because the Taliban are on one side and the government is on the other," said Reza Husain, a Ghazni resident.
This comes as First Vice President Amrullah Saleh in a social media post on Monday blamed Pakistain for supporting the Taliban and said the group has not changed.
