Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Bloodshed in Syria as Assad's forces kill 13 'including four children' in shelling of rebel-held town shortly after Damascus bomb attack killed 14 on army bus
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news]
  • Two bombs killed 14 on army bus in the Syrian capital of Damascus this morning

  • A third bomb was defused

  • An hour later Syrian army shelling struck the rebel-held town of Ariha in Idlib province, killing 13

  • Rockets hit a busy market area and schools - with four children among dead

  • No group claimed responsibility for the bus attack, and terror attacks in Damascus have been rare since government forces drove ISIS out in 2018
Update from An Nahar about Idlib at 7:55 p.m. ET:
The Syrian government's main focus has been the northwestern region of Idlib, where many of the rebels forced to surrender in other parts of the country have gathered.

The area is dominated by the jihadist group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, formerly al-Nusra, before that it was called something else
...al-Qaeda's Syrian affiliate, from which sprang the Islamic State...
(HTS), which includes leaders of al-Qaeda's former Syria franchise and over which The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor...
has some sway.

HTS has not claimed attacks in Damascus in years however.

The Cuban Missile Crisis: the First Mega-PsyOp
BLUF:
[News With Views] The Cold War was not only a good tool to keep the American people terrorized, but it was also very profitable for the military-industrial-banking complex. But the unexpected implosion of the Soviet Union in 1991 created a vacuum, which the conspirators had to fill.

The second mega PsyOp, whose only purpose was terrorizing even more the American people in order for them to accept the losing of freedom under the name of security, was the 9/11 operation which unleashed the so-called War on Terror and was used as a pretext to create the Office of Homeland Security, the TSA and other similar aberrations.

Currently, were are suffering the effects of the third mega PsyOp disguised as an effort to protect us from an invisible virus. As in the previous two, this one will result in more loss of freedom and more government control over the American people.

For the whole story you may read my book The Nuclear Hoax: Nikita Khrushchev and the Cuban Missile Crisis. It reads like a Tom Clancy thriller.

<#insert dumb planning joke here>
While that episode of Cold War Theater was titled "Missiles in Cuba", the object of the gambit was Missiles in Europe - specifically removing short range tactical missiles NATO had installed near Russian (was it in Turkey?)

We may have "defeated" the USSR in Cuba, but if memory serves, the NATO missiles were removed. Exchanging pieces is a classic chess tactic.

Ted Cruz Introduces Bill That Would Send Illegal Immigrants To The Towns Of Rich White Liberals For Processing
[GatewayPundit] In the midst of the ongoing border crisis, Republican Texas Sen. Ted Cruz filed legislation on Tuesday that would establish processing centers for illegal immigrants in areas such as Martha’s Vineyard and other Democrat-led communities.

Earlier this month, Cruz said: "For the past ten months, President Biden and his administration have willingly surrendered the United States’ southern border to dangerous criminal cartels, with no thought given to the South Texas border communities like McAllen and Del Rio, which are running low on resources from dealing with this massive influx of illegal immigrants," The legislation was introduced before Cruz made his statement.

"That’s why today I am introducing this crucial legislation to alleviate the massive overload at the southern border by establishing new ports of entry in Democrat-led communities such as North Hero, Vermont, where Bernie Sanders spends his summers, and Martha’s Vineyard, where Democrat elites host their cocktail parties," Cruz continued.

According to the law, 13 new ports of entry would be established in towns across the United States, and all illegal aliens apprehended at Border Patrol Sectors in Texas would be transported to one of the 13 new ports of entry for processing.

The following locations would be home to the thirteen new ports:

Block Island, Rhode Island

Greenwich, Connecticut

Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts

Cambridge (Massachusetts)

Governors Island, New York City

Rehoboth Beach, Delaware

Portland Breaks Annual Homicide Record with More than Two Months Left in 2021
[Breitbart] As of October 19, 2021, Portland, Oregon, has surpassed the record number of homicides for a given year with 67 homicides year-to-date.

Fox News reports that Portland’s record number of homicides for one year was 66, set in 1987, but the city has seen 67 for 2021.

The Associated Press notes that there have been “about 1,000 shootings” in Portland and “firearms have accounted for three-quarters of homicides.”

While many of the shootings can allegedly be traced to “gangs, fights and retaliation killings,” the violence is so widespread that innocent bystanders are endangered.

1600 Migrants Apprehended in Southern Arizona over Weekend
[Breitbart] Yuma, Arizona, is fast becoming the newest hotspot among southwest Border Patrol Sectors in Fiscal Year 2022. In all, between Friday and Sunday, human smugglers moved more than 1,600 migrants into the area.

Most of the migrants are from Mexico and the Central American northern triangle countries of Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador. The remainder are from a host of nations including 13 from nations the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) considers “special interest.”

The DHS notes:

Generally, an SIA is a non-U.S. person who, based on an analysis of travel patterns, potentially poses a national security risk to the United States or its interests. Often such individuals or groups are employing travel patterns known or evaluated to possibly have a nexus to terrorism. DHS analysis includes an examination of travel patterns, points of origin, and/or travel segments that are tied to current assessments of national and international threat environments.

This classification is reserved for all nationals of that country and does not mean that all SIAs are terrorists. SIAs differ from those migrants DHS considers “Known and Suspected Terrorists” (KST) from the Terrorist Screening Database (TSDB), the U.S. Government’s consolidated database maintained by the Department of Justice.

As reported by Breitbart Texas, the Yuma Sector is facing a surge in migrant traffic compared to years past and is closing in on the Del Rio Sector. The source says that only a small minority of the migrants apprehended in Yuma are being expelled to Mexico under the Trump era Title 42 COVID-19 authority.

Of the more than 12,000 migrants apprehended in Yuma since October 1, a federal source says less than 600 were swiftly expelled to Mexico under the emergency order. More than 11,000 were processed under traditional legal pathways allowing the migrant family units and unaccompanied migrants to pursue asylum.

The source says most are released into the United States as they await the adjudication process.

Biden's pick for border chief says there isn't a crisis at the border: Ted Cruz introduces bill to send migrants to Democratic hotspots like Martha's Vineyard and Palo Alto
[Daily Mail, Where America Gets Its News]
  • Biden's pick to head Customs and Border Protection, Chris Magnus, refused to classify the situation at the southern border as a crisis

  • Republican Senator Todd Young of Indiana pushed Magnus on the surge of illegal immigration under Biden during a confirmation hearing on Tuesday

  • 'Does it really matter whether we call it a major challenge, a crisis, a big problem?' Magnus questioned, without saying if he thought it was a crisis

  • Also on Tuesday, Senator Ted Cruz introduced a bill that would move processing centers for illegal migrants to where 'Democrat elites host their cocktail parties'

  • This includes North Hero, Vermont, where Bernie Sanders spends his summers, and Martha's Vineyard, where Barack Obama owns a home

  • Cruz hopes this will alleviate pressures on southern border states and hit closer to home for Democratic elites, who he claims are ignoring the crisis

Trump wanted to sent 250,000 troops - or half the US Army - to the border to deal with the migrants: Defense Secretary rejected largest use of troops inside the country since the Civil War because Mexico would see it as an act of aggression
[Daily Mail, Where America Gets Its News]
  • Donald Trump wanted to send 250,000 troops to mitigate the southern border in spring 2020 – during the onset of the pandemic

  • Homeland Security Secretary Mark Esper was vehemently against the plan

  • Stephen Miller, the architect of Trump's immigration agenda, first had the idea but didn't push it when Esper wanted to ditch the plan to deploy half the Army

  • At the time, Trump's administration had already started implementing Title 42

  • The provision allows the CDC to turn back migrants during a health emergency

  • The Biden administration is still using Title 42 to send back illegal immigrants

We do an invasion, sort of a reverse 🔀 of what is happening on our Southern border, take over their country, make it one of our commonwealth states, tax the sh-t out of them to pay for all the cr-p we have put up with since Jimmy Carter.

And Collect Building Permit fees from the Chinese; We will Fine them if their construction is not up to International Building Code & Standards. Further, we will repatriate workers to their native point of origin giving them the jobs the Chinese workers are being used in at a given geographic area.

Sounds great right ....(no ? drink 3 beers and look at this again, when you finish your six pack of beer)

Elections Have Consequences: Cop resigns over vaccine mandate, Bongino threatens same, some employers accept proof of natural immunity
[InfoWars] Video has emerged of another veteran police officer signing off after being forced to resign for refusing to go along with Joe Biden’s vaccine mandates.

The footage shows a Washington State Patrol officer of 17 years, referred to only as officer “110”, wiping away tears as he radios in a final goodbye.

The Seargent boldly states “Due to my personal choice to take a moral stand for medical freedom and personal choice, I will be signing out of service for the last time today.”

In a touching aside, the dispatcher on the other end of the radio replies “I’m honored to have been your dispatcher, but mostly proud to be your wife.”

Dan Bongino Stands Up to Vaccine Mandates, Gives Ultimatum to His Radio Network

[Townhall] Thousands of people in industries across the country are losing their jobs over vaccine mandates. In some cases, employee protests have paid off and employers have relented, giving testing options rather than following through on draconian ‘no jab, no job’ policies. Now, Dan Bongino is taking a stand at Cumulus Media.

In late May, the massively influential radio network Westwood One debuted a new daily talk show from Dan Bongino, a former Secret Service agent and New York City cop who gained stature in conservative media during the presidency of Donald Trump. The show occupies the noon-3 p.m. time slot once dominated by Rush Limbaugh, setting Bongino up as one of the key challengers for his audience.

Within two months, the show had reached distribution on more than 300 stations, which the company described as “impressive growth.”

Now, Bongino is threatening to walk away completely. He has taken issue with a vaccination mandate imposed in August by Westwood One’s owner, Cumulus Media. (WaPo)

The company gave employees until Sept. 27 to be fully vaccinated and a number of radio hosts at the have been fired or quit for not wanting to get the jab for personal or medical reasons. Bongino, who is fully vaccinated, is taking a stand in solidarity with them.

“I’m not really happy with the company I work with right here,” Bongino said on his program Monday. “I believe these vaccine mandates are unethical. I believe they’re immoral. I believe they don’t take into account the science of natural immunity due to a prior infection. I believe they’re broad-based and don’t take into account an individual circumstances of why they may or may not want to take a vaccine. And they’re antithetical to everything I believe in.”

Bongino promised to not let the issue go.

"Cumulus is going to have to make a decision with me — if they want to continue this partnership or they don’t. But I’m talking to you on their airwaves," he continued. "They don’t have to let that happen. And I wouldn’t mind if they didn’t. Because it’s really unfortunate that people with a lower profile than me, who don’t have 300-plus stations, have been summarily either shown the door or been put in really untenable circumstances because they simply want to make a medical decision by themselves.”

He then gave the company an ultimatum.

“You can have me, or you can have a vaccine mandate, but you can’t have both,” Bongino said. “I grew up without a lot of money. … I’m not leaving those guys behind.”

Trump's Postmortem Roasting of Powell Could Burn Him in the End By Jack Shafer
[Newsbreak] Of course Donald Trump rained on the Roman triumph parade the political establishment and the combined houses of major media convened this week to honor the memory and accomplishments of warrior, diplomat and leading citizen Colin Powell on the occasion of his death on Monday.

In a classic bit of counterprogramming, Trump took the position that no other prominent commentator wanted to go near. In Trump’s formulation, Powell wasn’t a hero, he was a fool. In one of the "statements" he issues in hopes it will be reposted on Twitter — from which he is permanently banned — and become Topic A in the media, Trump blistered Powell as a "classic RINO" who dragged us into the Iraq war and slagged the press for treating him in death "so beautifully." Trump’s sulfurous elegy worked as designed, as the media chorus united to scold him for violating the no-speaking-ill-about-the-newly-dead conventions of modern manners and meta-analyses, like this one, assembled themselves to explain the former president’s strategy.

In Trump’s defense, the graveside broadside was at least consistent with his previous comments on Powell. In 2020, when Powell defected from his Republican Party colleagues to endorse Joe Biden for president, Trump called Powell "a real stiff who was very responsible for getting us into the disastrous Middle East Wars." The only purely naughty thing Trump did was hit somebody who couldn’t hit back. It wasn’t as much a Trumpian low blow as a rabbit punch to a defenseless bunny.

If Trump had thought it necessary to justify himself, he could have claimed he was only telling the truth, adopting the position first articulated by I.F. Stone that "funerals are always occasions for pious lying." But neither remaining consistent nor tweaking convention were Trump’s primary objective. After all, nobody needed Trump to remind them that Iraq was Powell’s great failure; it was one he had acknowledged himself. That corrective sentiment could be found in most of the ledes of the obituaries and assessments that came spilling out. The AP even moved a story that dealt exclusively with the special hatred Iraqis still harbor for Powell for his role in pushing the invasion.

So the postmortem smear didn’t illuminate Powell. But it did help explain something true about Trump. Without Twitter, without chyron-to-chyron coverage from Fox News and without a pulsing presidential campaign to boost his messages, Trump depends on his shock-jock skills to elbow his way into the public sphere and onto the front page. Wicked mugging like this may look brainy and calculating, but it’s a good bet that, for Trump, swinging wildly when nobody pays attention to him has become his first instinct. Shouting through a megaphone to reach the cheap seats is also a technique he uses in court, too, filing ridiculous lawsuits against Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, to overturn election results or to punish his niece Mary Trump . His grandstanding shouldn’t work after all this time, but it still does.

The Powell incident doesn’t mark the first time Trump has dug up a corpse and danced it around to win the spotlight and score a few political points. Trump continued to verbally assault political rival Arizona Republican Sen. John McCain for months after he died in 2018. In 2019, Trump suggested that the former Michigan Democrat Rep. John Dingell, then only 10 months dead, was "looking up" from hell . (Trump was irate about Dingell’s wife, Rep. Debbie Dingell, also a Michigan Democrat supporting the Trump impeachment even though he had approved the lowering of flags for the late member of Congress.) And he’s never been sentimental about America’s war dead. In 2020, the Atlantic ’s Jeffrey Goldberg reported that behind the scenes, Trump called them "losers" and "suckers."

Trump seems to intuitively understand that these cheap shots don’t cost him with his base, which applauds his corrosive moxie. Given his history of explosive comments, he has set a baseline expectation for rude conduct that he must exceed to keep his fans entertained and to keep his critics appalled enough to drive his "statements" into the news. Truth be told, he probably didn’t care much one way or the other about Colin Powell, but, seeing the general’s death forming a news wave, he decided to paddle out and ride it to shore in hopes of getting noticed. But the downside for Trump — if downsides exist in Trumpworld — is that as he descends ever lower to hack his way into the news, he will end up sending the equivalent of an audition tape to the social media outlets that have only suspended him (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Twitch), that they should never let him return.

That leaves Trump standing there, smoldering, lacking enough rhetorical fuel to reach political liftoff and waiting for his next countdown.

This was the correct decision. Leave Iraq wounded, and just strong enough to be a counter weight to Iran... The plan was to push Iraq out of Kuwait and punish them heavily, not to occupy the country...see 2003 for the counter argument and negative results of an occupation/nation building.

And there was no WMD program in Iraq leading up to the second war...our guys attached to the survey team only reported finding a few old rockets with chemicals in them. The Duelfer Report is a good reference. I do remember hearing that after his capture Saddam stated that he bluffed the Shia with reports that he still had chemicals to keep them under control.

IMO there are two Powells - one the Military leader and the second, the poor politician...at times intertwined. I am appreciative and likely owe my life or some of my buddies lives to the correct decision that Powell influenced Bush to make to push overwhelming force into the theater to decisively win.

Powell never had our "allies" help pay for the war as promised. He endorsed Osama Obama when he was clearly a treasonous threat. And some of his public attacks on Trump were never based on actual issues. Pretty RINO sad.

#17  The New York Times discovers WMD in Iraq
By John Hayward | October 15, 2014

Via Human Events

Excerpted: "From 2004 to 2011, American and American-trained Iraqi troops repeatedly encountered, and on at least six occasions were wounded by, chemical weapons remaining from years earlier in Saddam Hussein's rule"

"In all, American troops secretly reported finding roughly 5,000 chemical warheads, shells or aviation bombs, according to interviews with dozens of participants, Iraqi and American officials, and heavily redacted intelligence documents obtained under the Freedom of Information Act."

As for Saddam, he and his hell-spawn needed to be whacked. I'm OK with deploying the full might of the US military to do that even if it is just over a long weekend and we leave right after. Bash and dash.

At the time, I thought trying to turn Iraq into an actual country was a worthwhile goal. We did it quite successfully with Japan, after all. Although, we did have to sit on them for a decade or so.

In retrospect, it was bad idea. The Iraqis were stuck at a tribal level of social evolution and were simply not ready to be a nation. A worthwhile goal, maybe. But not achievable without more effort than we were willing to put into the job.

I don't need to read your "link" we were there...had guys on the survey team. You can trust your google or you can get your boots in the sand to determine the facts.

BTW - Were these few old buried shells unfilled or the few rockets filled with degraded chemical weapons worth 4,400 dead US soldiers and 32,000 wounded...and the uncounted thousands of soldier suicides? The WMD PROGRAM in Iraq was a FALLACY...it did not exist...no plants or production facilities pumping out WMD to arm Bin Laden. Hell, Saddam hated Bin Laden by the way. No connection there either.

The negative effect the occupation had on our Army was distinct and still being felt...all the good leaders killed, wounded, the ones used up and got out, after multiple multiple rotations...a few good ones stayed and the rest were backfilled by the likes of Milley who is only capable of mouthing buzzwords like "branches and sequels" and "righteous strike." The effect of this horrible decision lingers...it is actually not over:(

It was reported that Al Qaeda cadres trained at Salman Pak alongside Saddam Hussein’s other pet jihadi organization cadres, and were given research projects for summer break in Afghanistan that included killing puppies with war gasses. But the main Al Qaeda connection in Iraq is through Abu Musab al-Zarqawi’s Jama'at al-Tawhid wal-Jihad, later formally called Al Qaeda in Iraq when Zarqawi became Al Qaeda’s #2.

Fred laid it out in yellow hilight here.

A worthwhile goal, maybe. But not achievable without more effort...

Looking at the experimental data, I am forced to conclude it is not achievable period. But we had to test the proposition. I don’t think Iran will be able to civilize them, either — they have poor control over their small domestic population of Sunni Arabs.

#27  That was one of Mueller's lies. He gave the impression that the FBI, the trusted organization that would never lie, approved of the invasion as absolutely necessary. Because Iraq was going to give WMD to Al-Qaeda, despite Saddam utterly hating Islamists and Al-Qaeda utterly hating nationalists like Saddam.

Iraq giving WMDs to Al Qaeda would be as absurd as the Jews giving Zyklon-B to Hitler.

WMD was just an excuse to do what they wanted to do for a long time. PNAC in 1996, read it all.

"That strategy should aim, above all, at the removal of Saddam Hussein's regime from power. We stand ready to offer our full support in this difficult but necessary endeavor."

On October 31, 1998 President Clinton signed the Iraq Liberation Act that made it official US policy to support “regime change” in Iraq.

Bottom line up front is that Saddam was in no way connected with the 9/11 planning, execution, nor attack...and did not have an active WMD program to enable AQ. 9/11 was all on Bin Laden.

I am not sure I get your point above...I stated that Saddam hated Bin Laden. Whether or not different Sunni extremists that later branded themselves as AQ in Iraq passed through there doesn't change that fact. We all agree Zarqawi was crazy and dangerous and had AQ links.

Just because Saddam and Bin Laden both hated the US...doesn't mean they were buds. They were competitors in a way...and if it were possible, Bin Laden would likely have killed Saddam and emplaced a proxy in his place giving OBL C2 over the Iraqi military remotely.

#32  Bottom line: No American presidential administration would have permitted Saddam to remain in power after 9/11. The dispute was over how to remove him and what should follow.

The best strategy was that which the U.K. Foreign Office recommended: Cut off the head of the snake and leave the Ba'athist party regime intact. Perhaps carve out a US protectorate for Kurdistan and put a forward air base there.

Don't know what Powell's view was of that proposal, but the mro-con zealots around W surely bear most of the blame for ignoring such wise, historically-informed counsel. Pity.

Security camera footage emerged Monday showing the man suspected of killing a British politician strolling down a London street hours before he struck down the MP in a frenzied stabbing attack.

British authorities have not released the name of the suspect in the Friday killing of 69-year-old Conservative politician David Amess, but British media reported the suspect was Ali Harbi Ali, 25, a British citizen with Somali heritage.

The video, first published by Sky News and then picked up by other British media, shows Ali on a street near his home in the north of the capital as he was heading to the Gospel Oak station. From there he is thought to have traveled to Leigh-on-Sea, a journey of about an hour and a half, where he stabbed Amess to death as he met with constituents in Belfairs Methodist Church.

It shows Ali wearing a green duffle coat and clutching a black backpack.

The footage is thought to be a key element in the ongoing investigation into the attack, the Daily Mail reported. It was obtained by police from a store close to Ali’s home. More footage has been taken from other CCTV cameras in the area and in Leigh-on-Sea along the route to the church where the stabbing took place.

Detectives have declared the killing a terrorist incident and said they are investigating "a potential motivation linked to Islamist extremism."

According to the report, Ali made an appointment a week earlier to meet with the politician. There is no indication that he tried to arrange similar meetings with any other MPs. The report noted that Sir Keir Starmer is the suspect’s local MP, but that as leader of the Labour Party and the opposition, access to him may have been more controlled.

Investigators now suspect that Ali targeted Amess just because he was able to book a face-to-face meeting with him at the church.

More details also emerged about Ali’s father, Harbi Ali Kullane, who was once an adviser to the prime minister of Somalia. A security source revealed that Ali Kullane received death threats in Somalia from the al-Shabaab
...... al-Qaeda's tentacle in East Africa...
Death Eater terror group because of his opposition to the group, the Daily Telegraph reported.

The source said that as a result, Ali Kullane "despises terrorists," raising questions as to how his son became radicalized.

Ali Kullane has been cooperating with police on the investigation, including analysis of his phone in the search for clues, the Mail reported. Part of the investigation is focusing on Amess’s ties to Qatar

They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates. Home of nutbag holy manYusuf al-Qaradawi...
. The slain MP had returned from the Gulf state last week and was chairman of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Qatar.

Qatar is an ally of the current Somalian government.

Friends of Ali told The Sun on Sunday that he became radicalized after watching videos on YouTube.

Before the attack, the suspect had been referred to Prevent, the official counterterrorist scheme for those thought to be at risk of radicalization, according to reports.

Counterterror officers from London’s Metropolitan police are leading the probe. In their last update late Saturday, the force said that they were searching three addresses in the capital.

Palestinians clash with police at Damascus Gate; 22 arrested, 17 wounded
[IsraelTimes] Tensions have been rising in the area outside Jerusalem’s Old City for weeks, leading to ’dozens’ of arrests

Paleostinians clashed with police on Tuesday at Jerusalem’s Damascus Gate, leading to 22 arrests and 17 reportedly maimed as tensions at the flashpoint site spiked.

According to police, Paleostinians violent mostly peacefully rioted and threw stones at nearby buses, leading officers to use tear gas and sound grenades against the demonstrators. Police cannons also repeatedly sprayed foul-smelling skunk water over the streets and plaza near the archway in an effort to disperse the Paleostinian protesters.

Poland doubles troop contingent on border with Belarus
[DW] Nearly 6,000 Polish troops will now be guarding the border area with Belarus as the country experiences a surge in migration, Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak said Tuesday.

The soldiers would be helping bolster the country's border guard. On Saturday, the troop contingent sat at around 3,000.

"Almost 6,000 soldiers from the 16th, 18th and 12th divisions are serving on the Polish-Belarusian border," Blaszczak tweeted. "The soldiers provide support to the Border Guard by protecting the country's border and not allowing it to be illegally crossed."

SURGE IN MIGRATION
Poland is experiencing a surge in migrants colonists crossing from Belarus. Its border guarding agency said there had been 612 attempts on Monday alone. Eleven migrants colonists were taken into custody, with 10 of them coming from Iraq.

The agency has warned those attempting to cross from the Belarusian side that illegal attempts at entry are criminal acts.

Since the beginning of the month, the border guard has recorded 9,600 attempted crossings into its territory.

Earlier in October, the agency said it had prevented 18,300 undocumented crossings since the start of 2021.

A large proportion of those trying to enter the country come from the Middle East. Thousands have tried to cross from Belarus into European Union
...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing...
countries Poland, Latvia and Lithuania in recent months.

GERMANY OFFERS TO LEND A HAND
Poland's western neighbor Germany has given an offer of assistance with a proposal to send resources of its own.

According to an Interior Ministry letter seen by German news agency DPA, Interior Minister Horst Seehofer has offered to send officers who would take instruction from their Polish counterparts.

The letter addressed to Polish Interior Minister Mariusz Kaminski stated: "Given the joint challenges, I believe it is sensible for both our border protection authorities to again boost their accustomed joint patrols along the German-Polish border."

Seehofer said the patrols should be "primarily on Polish territory, naturally under Polish command."

Poland has accused Belarus and Russia of encouraging the migration to trigger instability within the bloc, calling it "hybrid warfare."

Brussels has alleged that Minsk deliberately organized border crossings in retaliation for sanctions imposed by the EU over the Belarusian regime's suppression of its opposition.

Last week, Poland's parliament adopted legislation to make pushbacks legal and allow the arbitrary rejection of migrants colonists' asylum applications.

The move prompted thousands to protest on the streets of Warsaw in a show of solidarity with migrants colonists.

Other EU countries also responded to the migrant crisis on Tuesday, with Latvia extending its state of emergency at the Belarusian border and Lithuania calling on the EU to sanction a Belarusian state-run airline.

French Troops Kill Woman on Anti-Jihadist Patrol in Mali
[AnNahar] The French army said Tuesday its troops rubbed out a woman while conducting an anti-jihadist reconnaissance operation with Malian soldiers in the west African country, prompting an investigation.

The woman died on Monday during a joint patrol "in an area where elements of an armed terrorist group has been detected east of Gossi" in the north, the French general staff said.

The soldiers saw two individuals riding a cycle of violence, but they left it behind to flee into the undergrowth when they spotted the French and Malian troops, said the statement.

"An abandoned assault rifle, ammunition and a military bag are discovered near the motorbike," it added.

The soldiers "engage in the pursuit of one of the two individuals in the woods. Four warning shots are fired to stop him but the latter moves further away."

"The individual turns sharply towards the soldiers who fire to neutralize" the target and then "discover that it is a woman," suspected of being one of the people on the cycle of violence.

"Residents of the nearest village are called to give the identity of this person" but "no one knows her", said the general staff, adding that the body was buried at the site.

An investigation has been opened "to clarify the exact sequence of events and to shed full light on this combat action," the statement concluded.

Deployed to Mali since 2013 because of deadly jihadist activity, a force of some 5,000 French troops is now being drawn down, potentially by as much as half by early next year.

  • [MSN] The largest ports in the US hit a new record on Monday as 100 ships wait to dock and unload.

  • The ports have smashed through multiple records this year as COVID-19 shutdowns meet a boom in consumer demand.

[REGNUM] Russian agricultural producers harvested 115.4 million tons of grain as of October 19, 2021, the press service of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture reported.

"As of October 19, domestic farmers harvested 115.4 million tons of grain from an area of 43.3 million hectares," the message says.

The share of wheat in the total harvest was 70 percent (77.3 million tons), barley - 16 percent (18.6 million) and corn for grain - about 7 percent (million tons). Other crops include sunflower, rapeseed and soybeans.

In addition, Russia has grown the sugar beet crop: 27.1 million tons, 5.4 million tons of potatoes, as well as 3.7 million tons of outdoor vegetables. Indicators by type of crops are generally in line with or ahead of last year's level.

As Rosstat specified in February, the grain harvest in Russia at the end of 2020 amounted to 133.465 million tons.
The poor will be hungrier this winter.

Democrats to scale back Treasury's IRS bank reporting plan, raise threshold from $600 to $10,000
Isn’t $10,000 where it was originally? Pure genius, guys.
[JUSTTHENEWS] Senate Democrats are set Tuesday to announce a scaled-down version of the Biden administration, the same old faces in slightly different places, the same old ideas, the same old graft
...knaves, footpads, and adjusters employed by the Biden Crime Family. They leave a trail of havoc everywhere they turn their attention, be it the nation's borders, the Keystone XL Pipeline, or epidemics, sometimes on purpose, most times through sheer arrogant ineptitude. They learnt this stuff in college, you know...
's proposal to crack down on Americans it suspects are dodging taxes. The administration's original proposal was greeted with overwhelming opposition from fiscal conservative groups, the banking industry and other over concerns about financial privacy.

The initial plan, conceived by the Treasury Department and Senate Democrats, would have allowed the Internal Revenue Service access to information on bank accounts that had at least $600 worth of annual deposits or withdrawals.

The new proposal will still allow the IRS
...the Internal Revenue Service; that office of the United States government that collects taxes and persecutes the regime's political enemies...
to access information on accounts that transfer or receive more than $10,000 annually. However,
it's easy to be generous with someone else's money...
it will exclude all wage income from counting toward the $10,000 threshold.

While Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen has been adamant in her position that the new measure would amount only to essentially a technical set of changes, critics of the proposal argue that the new rules would massively expand the IRS's ability to snoop on the accounts of Americans.

The goal of the proposal, broadly, is to enable the IRS and Treasury to better identify wealthy tax evaders, which in turn will assist congressional Democrats and the Biden administration to pay for the proposed trillion-dollar spending plans of which it is a part.

Note that they are excepting payroll deposits. They are going after the cash economy. People are going to go back to carrying a roll of cash, I think.

Any account with over $10K in non-payroll deposits In a year would be under continuous inspection by IRS computers thereafter.

Do the Math....
Minimum Wage $7.50 x 40 hours x 50 weeks = $15,000.
Minimum Wage $7.50 x 32 hours x 50 weeks = $12,000.

As of August 2021, the average check is $1,437.55, according to the Social Security Administration. $1,437.55 x 12 months = $17,250.60.

SO $10,000.00 covers likely 90% of the USA wage earners.

EXCEPT the Illegals and those working under the table for sub-standard wages.

So how does Biden think and claim this level of Wage Earner can dodge enough tax revenue to make up the Socialcrats Massive $3.4T Over Spending proposed budget?

Gemayel Calls for 'Withdrawing Parliamentary Legitimacy' from Hizbullah in Elections
[An Nahar] Kataeb Party chief Sami Gemayel has called on the Lebanese people to "withdraw legitimacy from Hizbullah

Commenting on the deadly Tayyouneh incidents, Gemayel said "the entire Lebanese people were a victim of what happened."

"Together with our young men, we are present in this area (Ain al-Remmaneh), and it is normal to be alongside our people. We are not doing something extraordinary; we are naturally present and we belong to the area’s fabric when it faces danger. Residents defend themselves and certainly there will be Kataeb members defending themselves among the residents," Gemayel added.

He, however, noted that Kataeb "will not pour oil on fire."

"We believe that that cannot lead to a result. We have not abandoned the area and I’m the only one who visited it on the day of the troubles," Gemayel added.

As for the political and security situations in the country, the Kataeb leader said there is "an attempt to undermine the judiciary and eliminate its role and credibility."

He added: "In my opinion, the coming period will witness an attempt to target the Lebanese Army and disintegrate it, seeing as it is the last bulwark for Leb

Government Corruption
FBI Raids Home of Russian Oligarch Oleg Deripaska Who Refused to Go Along With Russiagate Coup
[Forbes] FBI Raids Home of Russian Oligarch Oleg Deripaska This Morning in DC — He’s Connected to the Steele Dossier

FBI Agents reportedly swarmed the home of Russian Oligarch Oleg Deripaska this morning in Washington DC. There’s no mention in today’s reporting of the FBI’s efforts to have Deripaska work for them in 2016.

NBC News reports:

FBI agents on Tuesday swarmed the home of Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska in Washington, D.C., an agency spokesperson confirmed to NBC News.

The reason for their presence wasn’t immediately clear. The spokesperson said the agency is conducting "law enforcement activity at the home," but wouldn’t elaborate.

From 2019:
Russian oligarch's story could spell trouble for Team Mueller

[TheHill] Sometimes it is the quiet, elusive ones who come back to haunt you. And for ex-special prosecutor Robert Mueller, one of those might be a Russian billionaire named Oleg Deripaska.

The oligarch who once controlled Russia’s largest aluminum empire has been an international man of intrigue in the now-completed and disproven Trump collusion investigation.

Deripaska was a disaffected former business client of Donald Trump’s fallen campaign chairman Paul Manafort. He also was a legal research client of Trump-hating, Clinton-aiding British spy Christopher Steele. In his spare time, he was an occasional friendly cooperator with the FBI and its fired deputy director, Andrew McCabe.

And, at the height of the Russia collusion hysteria, Deripaska was sanctioned by the Trump administration to financially punish Russian President Vladimir Putin for his meddling in the 2016 U.S. presidential election.

With the Russia case, in which he had so many connections, now completed, Deripaska is breaking his silence. And what he has to say could impact Mueller’s July 17 testimony before Congress.

In a wide-ranging interview with me, Deripaska confirmed a story told to me more than a year ago by law enforcement sources: He was indeed interviewed by FBI agents in September 2016 during the early Russia probe, and he told them he strongly doubted the bureau’s theory that the Trump campaign, through Manafort, was colluding with Moscow to hijack the 2016 election.

"I told them straightforward, ’Look, I am not a friend with him [Manafort]. Apparently not, because I started a court case [against him] six or nine months before ... . But since I’m Russian I would be very surprised that anyone from Russia would try to approach him for any reason, and wouldn’t come and ask me my opinion,' " he said, recounting exactly what he says he told the FBI agents that day.

"I told them straightforward, I just don’t believe that he would represent any Russian interest. And knowing what he’s doing on Ukraine for the last, what, seven or eight years."

Deripaska’s interview with the FBI reportedly was never provided by Team Mueller to Manafort’s lawyers, even though it was potential proof of innocence, according to Manafort defense lawyer Kevin Downing. Manafort, initially investigated for collusion, was convicted on tax and lobbying violations unrelated to the Russia case.

That omission opens a possible door for appeal for what is known as a Brady violation, for hiding exculpatory information from a defendant.

"Recent revelations by The Hill prove that the Office of Special Counsel’s (OSC) claim that they had a legitimate basis to include Paul Manafort in an investigation of potential collusion between the Trump presidential campaign and the Russian government is false," Downing told me. "The failure to disclose this information to Manafort, the courts, or the public reaffirms that the OSC did not have a legitimate basis to investigate Manafort.
FBI is going to charge this guy to hide their own crimes in the Russiagate sedition coup?

Chinese Star pistols dropped by Pakistan drones largely aiding targeted killings in J&K

[OneIndia] The analysis done by the Intelligence agencies suggests that the number of killings have gone up due to the increase in the number of pistols that have been delivered through drones. It has been found that scores of Chinese Star pistols were delivered to the over ground workers of the Lashkar-e-Tayiba. This has in fact been a weapon of choice in the recent spate of killings.

Over the recent months there have been scores of pistols that have been delivered from Pakistain with the help of drones. The drones have become the latest headache for the security agencies who are in. Need of better anti-drone systems, an official explained to OneIndia.

Rogue drones are the latest worry for India and an estimate would show that there are 6 lakh of them in India. The DOJ has finally disgorged some exculpatory evidence about January 6
[AMERICANTHINKER] For a very long time, based on a few short snippets of random videos that people outside and inside of the Capitol shot on January 6, conservatives have been arguing that significant numbers of the people who entered the Capitol that day did so because the Capitol Police let them in. Their presence there wasn’t an insurrection or even an unauthorized trespass—they had a right to be there once the "guardians" of the Capitol opened the door. Now, the official video from the Capitol confirms that those snippets were accurate.

January 6 defendants and conservative media outlets have been demanding for ten months that the Department of Justice release the 14,000 hours of footage it has showing what happened at the Capitol on that day. An administration dedicated to truth and a prosecution abiding by the principle that the government must make exculpatory material available to the defense would have long ago complied with those requests.

But the Biden DOJ is made of sterner, and possibly more corrupt, stuff. It took a court order to make the DOJ disgorge just some of the footage it has. And let me note that the motion to produce that Ethan Nordean, a defendant, filed asking for material to which he is entitled under the law wasn’t enough. Instead, the "Press Coalition," which includes CNN

Parliament OKs March 27 Polls Date, Axes Expat Seats amid Bassil Objection

Despite its name a Christian party allied with Hizbullah, neither free nor particularly patriotic...
chief MP Jebran Bassil meanwhile objected to the change of the elections date and the cancellation of expat seats and megacenters.

"The meteorological department says storms might occur on the elections’ scheduled date, which might make the process difficult, in addition to the coincidence of electoral deadlines with the fasting of Christian sects," Bassil said.

As for the six expat seats, Bassil stated: "This is a right and a national achievement that was made in 2017, so why is there an attempt to back down from it now? What are you afraid of? If it wasn’t for these expats, the country would have collapsed, and you’re finding it too much to grant them six MPs?"

Responding to Bassil’s warning that there might be legal challenges before the Constitutional Council, Berri said: "Let no one threaten me. I allow anything but threats."

Bassil had also insisted on electoral megacenters, arguing that "they lessen influences and transportation costs for voters," but Interior Minister Bassam al-Mawlawi said the issue needs a law.

Mostly from sub-Saharan Africa, they were brought ashore safely before being handed over to the police, the source told AFP.

Ron DeSantis Addresses Supply Chain Crisis: Florida's Ports Are Open
[BREITBART] Florida can play a key role in alleviating the nation’s supply chain crisis, Gov. Ron DeSantis
...Republican governor of Florida, stone in the shoe of the Dems and their ilk, maybe one-day president...
(R) said Tuesday, as Florida’s ports remain open, ready, and, in some cases, are offering incentives for businesses to move their cargo through Sunshine State ports.Speaking from Jacksonville, Florida’s JAXPORT, DeSantis laid out the situation the nation faces, as Americans witness "major disruptions" in the supply chain, citing images of ships docked off the coast of various cities and log jams, which are directly "impacting what we see in terms of our store shelves." Americans are seeing shortages of products, increased costs of items, and rising gas prices, directly affecting commuters.

In an aerial view, container ships are anchored by the ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles as they wait to offload on September 20, 2021 near Los Angeles, Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party,. (Photo by Mario Tama/Getty Images)

However,
if you can't be a good example, then you'll just have to be a horrible warning...
DeSantis said Florida can play a key role in alleviating the mounting issues.

"We in Florida have the ability to help alleviate these log jams and help to ameliorate the problems with the supply chain," DeSantis said, explaining that Florida has been "long" committed to reliable, modern, accessible port facilities since he became governor in 2019.

Since then, he said, Florida has "allocated almost a billion dollars to over 70 Florida seaport projects and these are approaches that made us really really strong."

"It really really is the model for the rest of the country," he said.

"We’re here. We have capacity," he said, adding that some ports, including JAXPORT, are stepping up and offering incentive packages to businesses that want to move their cargo through these ports.

"This will make a huge difference. If you think about a place like JAXPORT, you have close to 100 million consumers that live within one day’s drive of JAXPORT," he said.

Democrats face grim political reality in midterms
[THEHILL] Democrats are grappling with the increasingly dire political reality facing them in next year’s midterm elections as warning signs pile up for the party ahead of 2022.Once hopeful that they could defy the typical midterm shellacking dealt to the party in power, a series of foreboding developments has rocked that sense of optimism. President Joe Biden
...... 46th president of the U.S. An incredibly corrupt version of Jar-Jar Binks, only well into his dotage. The dumbass who abandoned Afghanistan.......
’s approval ratings are in free fall, his top legislative priorities have stalled and, just this week, Rep. John Yarmuth (D-Ky.) announced that he would retire, making him the first senior House Democrat to bow out ahead of the midterms.

In conversations with The Hill in recent days, several Democratic strategists and operatives expressed a growing sense of pessimism about 2022. Each one said that the party’s recent decline is reversible. Still, most offered a sober assessment of Democrats’ position heading into the final stretch of 2021.

"To be blunt, I’m not feeling good about where we are," one senior Democratic congressional aide said. "Look, it was never going to be easy or anything. It was always kind of contingent on what got done. I just think we’re starting to see how fragile this is."

In ongoing Poonch encounter, Indian Army guns down 6 Lashkar terrorists

[OneIndia] The Indian Army hit back by gunning down 6 Lashkar-e-Tayiba Death Eaters in an ongoing encounter in the jungles of Rajouri. In all 10 Death Eaters had infiltrated into the jungles and a shootout has been on since last week.

The Indian Army lost nine of its men in the ongoing operation. Sources tell OneIndia around 9 to 10 Death Eaters infiltrated from Pakistain into the jungles of Poonch-Rajouri. They were heavily armed and trained extensively by the Pakistain Army.

Meanwhile three locals were held for questioning. A 45 year old woman was among the three to be held for questioning. The agencies are questioning the locals after it was suspected that they had provided logistic support to the Death Eaters involved in the encounter. The woman and her son have been identified as Zarina Akther and Shafait.

Estimates suggest that there are around 8 Death Eaters who are heavily armed. They have been engaging the security forces in a shootout since last Monday.

The Death Eaters entered the forests between Mendhar-Dehra Ki Gali-Thanamandi and Bhimber Gali in the border districts of Poonch and Rajouri through Pakistain occupied Kashmir. The locals detained for questioning are suspected to have given them food and logistic support. The battle has been on for 9 days.

Sources say that the battle has been so intense and has lasted over a week because of the training these Death Eaters have been imparted with. The role of the Pakistain Army in this operation cannot be ruled out, the source also said.

The battle continues despite a massive combing operation, intense shelling and a heavy cordon along the 9 kilometre stretch of the forests. On October 10, when the battle began, five soldiers including a JCO died in the Dera Wali Gali area of Poonch close to the Line of Control.

Taliban get aid promise but not recognition on eve of Moscow talks
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Russia, China and Pakistain are willing to provide aid to Afghanistan, the Russian foreign ministry said on Tuesday, but Moscow said it was not yet ready to recognize the Taliban
...mindless ferocity in a turban...
government. The promise of humanitarian aid and economic support came after talks between Russian, Chinese and Pak officials, who will be joined by representatives of Afghanistan’s Islamist rulers at a meeting in Moscow on Wednesday.

But Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Russia was withholding recognition from the Taliban while waiting for them to fulfil promises they made when they took power, including on the political and ethnic inclusivity of the new government.

Critics say the former rebel movement is backtracking on pledges not to sideline women and minorities, or persecute foes.

"Official recognition of the Taliban is not under discussion for now," Lavrov told news hounds. "Like most of other influential countries in the region, we are in contact with them. We are prodding them to fulfil the promises they made when they came to power."

Bassil Decries 'Legislative Massacre' against Electoral Law
[An Nahar] Free Patriotic Movement
Despite its name a Christian party allied with Hizbullah, neither free nor particularly patriotic...
chief MP Jebran Bassil on Tuesday lamented what he called "a legislative massacre against the electoral law," after parliament voted to cancel six parliamentary seats for expats stipulated by the 2018 electoral law.

"We will file an appeal over the issue of expat voting because the constitutional principle is clear and it has been violated. This is a constitutional, political and national violation," Bassil said after a parliamentary session.

"It is shameful to say that expats only know Leb
...The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. That's three statements, only the first of which is subjective....
through ’kibbeh and sfiha,’ they are not a decoration as some have described them," Bassil added, referring to two traditional Lebanese dishes.

He also decried that setting March 27 as a date for the elections is "manipulation" amid expected bad weather and the Christian fasting season.

Bassil also voiced surprise that parliament ditched the electoral megacenters idea, noting that "it facilitates the electoral process."

As for the postponement of the decision on women’s quota, the FPM chief said "our proposal which includes granting women the ability to be represented by at least one seat in every electoral list could have been adopted."

China denies testing nuclear-capable hypersonic missile
[BBC] China has denied reports that it tested a nuclear-capable hypersonic missile earlier this year, insisting instead that it was a routine spacecraft check.
Is there some reason we can't steal their technology? We used to be able to. Of course that was before they had technology.
The initial report in the Financial Times newspaper prompted concern in Washington, where US intelligence was reportedly caught by surprise.

Hypersonic missiles are much faster and more agile than normal ones, meaning they are more difficult to intercept.
Conventional missiles used to be impossible to intercept. Reagan's "Star Wars" program was ridiculed as "hitting a bullet with a bullet." Funding for the Patriot system had to be hidden within the Army budget. I'm so very frightened. What's for lunch?
It comes as concern grows around China's nuclear capabilities.

On Monday, foreign ministry front man Zhao Lijian told a media briefing that a routine test had been carried out in July to verify different types of reusable spacecraft technology.

"This was not a missile, this was a spacecraft," he said. "This is of great significance for reducing the cost of spacecraft use."

‘Mansouri’ Special Unit Created in Balkh Province
[ToloNews] Security officials in the northern province of Balkh said on Monday that the Islamic Emirate has created a special forces unit in the province named the "Mansouri Division."

Abdulhai Abed, security chief for Balkh province, said, "These are the special forces of the Islamic Emirate."

Abed added that these forces are equipped with advanced weapons and patrol across Mazar-e-sharif city around the clock and are working to identify and take down kidnapping networks.

According to the security officials, the special unit is highly trained and most of their weapons and military hardware were made in the United States.

Members of the special unit said that they are tasked with ensuring the safety and security of the people in Mazar-e-Sharif city.

"There will not be any problems in the future. If anything happens, people should contact the Islamic Emirate security officials and we will arrive at the spot immediately," a member of the unit said.

According to security officials, the special unit will crack down on networks of kidnappers and armed robbers and will not allow security problems in Balkh.

Zabiullah Norani, head of the information and culture department of Balk, said: "Our forces are working seriously to identify the centers of crime ... and to crack down on them."

Statistics of Balkh’s security departments show that since the collapse of the former government, around 176 people have been arrested on charges of armed robbery and kidnapping.

Daily life under the Talibs: economy to shrink 30%, exchange rate now 90 Afghanis to $1, Kazakhstan sends flour, road building ends

IMF predicting 30% shrink in Afghanistan’s economy after Taliban takeover
[KhaamaPress] International Monetary Fund in its latest regional economic report said that the gross domestic products of Afghanistan could see a 30% contraction after the Taliban took over the country and foreign aids halted.

Officials in IMF say that Afghanistan’s situation was deteriorating even before the Taliban enter Kabul and add that COVID-19 and drought are among the factors that will cause the sharp contraction in the economy.

After the Taliban takeover on August 15, non-humanitarian aids stopped in Afghanistan, foreign assets have been frozen, people lost their jobs, and banks are struggling with a limited amount of cash.

Price of Goods Rise, Value of Afghani Falls
[ToloNews] The dropping in value of Afghanis against the dollar has greatly reduced business in the markets.

According to the money exchangers, recently the smuggling of dollars has also caused problems in the markets.

Currently, one dollar is exchanged for about 90 Afghanis in the Kabul market.

At the same time, Afghanistan annually imports goods which cost 8.5 billion dollars and to buy these goods they use dollars.

“Afghanistan is one of those countries that relies on other countries' imports and we need dollars to buy goods and that is why the Afghani is losing its value in currency markets,” said Haji Zirak Zirak, the spokesperson of the money exchangers union in Kabul.

Chechen convicted of financing Syrian militants
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[KavkazUzel] A court in Rostov-on-Don today sentenced Chechen resident Magomed Dakaev to 5.5 years in prison, finding him guilty of transferring money to terrorists in Syria.

According to the investigation, the 33-year-old native of Urus-Martan, Magomed Dakaev, was accused of facilitating terrorist activities (part 1 of Article 205.1 of the Criminal Code of Russia), the punishment for which provides for from five to fifteen years in prison.

"It was established that at the beginning of June 2014, the defendant, while in the Chechen Republic, handed over 2,000 rubles to a fellow villager for transfer to their mutual acquaintance who was in the Syrian Arab Republic in an illegal armed formation.

In the same year, the defendant provided 7,000 rubles to other persons for their departure, to the territory of the SAR to participate in the [illegal armed formation]," an employee of the press service of the Southern District Military Court told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

In court, Dakaev pleaded guilty in part. He was found guilty and sentenced to five years and six months in a general regime colony. The verdict has not entered into legal force and can be appealed by the parties in the Military Court of Appeal, the press service said.

"Caucasian Knot" has not yet received any comments from Magomed Dakaev and his representatives regarding the verdict of the court .

The "Caucasian Knot" also wrote that on August 3 it became known that a Chechen resident, Mohamadkhan Abdulvahabov, was sentenced by a court to six years in prison, having been found guilty of transferring money to a friend for a trip to Syria.
In 2014 his target could have been any number of jihadi groups allied with Al Qaeda or what was becoming ISIS.

Haiti gang seeks $17M for kidnapped US missionaries
[APNEWS] A gang that kidnapped 17 members of a U,S.-based missionary group has demanded a $17 million ransom for them, according to Haiti’s justice minister, as quoted by the Wall Street Journal.

Justice Minister Liszt Quitel said the gang was demanding $1 million per person. Quitel did not immediately return messages for comment, but he also confirmed the figure to the New York Times

... which still proudly displays Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize...

. The Journal said he identified the ages of the kidnapped children as 8 months and 3, 6, 14 and 15 years.

A wave of kidnappings prompted a protest strike that shuttered businesses, schools and public transportation in a new blow to Haiti’s anemic economy, and unions and other groups vowed to continue the shutdown Tuesday.

FBI
...Formerly one of the world's premier criminal investigation organizations, something for a nation to be proud of. Now it's a political arm of the Deep State oligarchy that is willing to trump up charges, suppress evidence, or take out insurance policies come election time...
agents and other U.S. officials are helping Haitian authorities hunt for the 12 adults and five children linked to the Christian Aid Ministries in Ohio who were kidnapped Saturday during a trip to visit an orphanage.

It is the largest reported kidnapping of its kind in recent years, with Haitian gangs growing more brazen and abductions spiking as the country tries to recover from the July 7 liquidation of President Jovenel Moïse and a magnitude 7.2 earthquake that struck southern Haiti on Aug. 14 and killed more than 2,200 people.

"We are calling on authorities to take action," said Jean-Louis Abaki, a moto taxi driver who joined the strike Monday to decry killings and kidnappings in the hemisphere’s poorest nation.

With the usually chaotic streets of Haiti’s capital quiet and largely empty Monday, Abaki said that if Prime Minister Ariel Henry and National Police Chief Léon Charles want to stay in power, "they have to give the population a chance at security."

[RIAFAN] Boris Rozhin, the author of the Colonelcassad Telegram channel, talks about the reasons for Turkish interest in Afghanistan and Turkey's attempts to maintain a military-political presence in this country.

Speaking about the situation in Afghanistan and Turkey's attempts to cling to this country by maintaining a military presence, many often underestimate the opportunities that Ankara can get if it manages to realize its difficult game and get into the Afghan case. Ankara is commonly seen as being left to the mercy of China, Pakistan, Iran and Russia.

Record Cold And Snow Expected In Northern Hemisphere [FWM]
[Free West Media] (Worst Winter in America Since 1922 ? ***)
Meteorologists are warning of an extremely cold and snowy winter. The amount of snow in the northern hemisphere is already hundreds of gigatons larger than normal for the season and the South Pole has measured the coldest winter ever since measurements began there. This is astonishing climate news that the system media has chosen to completely ignore.
good thing now that heating oil, natural gas, and fuel are near all-time highs. Let's go Brandon!
There are increasing indications that earthlings are facing a colder climate. The global average temperature has fallen over the past five years and the trend for precipitation in the form of snow is rising. The energy crisis that has hit Europe and large parts of the world hard, risks being seriously exacerbated with an unusually cold winter.

Phobos, one of Russia’s leading meteorological institutes, on October 4, warned that extreme weather with cold and large amounts of snow will hit the northern hemisphere this winter. Meteorologists predict severe weather conditions in Russia, especially in early January. Several places are said to be at risk of being hit very hard and the capital Moscow has been singled out. Significantly larger amounts of snow are expected there than normal and even worse, the Russian meteorologists believe that it will be in Siberia, where their forecast indicates twice as much snow against already large amounts of normal. It bodes ill, as transcontinental Russia last year witnessed its coldest winter and spring ever.

Several of Europe’s ski resorts in the Alps have already reported decimeter-deep snow. Stelvio is one of eight glacier areas in Austria, Italy and Switzerland that have already opened their slopes for the ski season and four others will open the weekend of October 9-10, along with the first two in Finland, Levi and Ruka.

Snow in the Alps and at high altitudes is not in itself strange at this time, but what differs is that the snow line is already below 1000 meters and that the snowfall this year follows a pattern that is recognizable from the beginning of historically very cold winters in Europe. For example, the Balkans already have minus degrees at night and the temperatures there are not less than 16 degrees Celsius below the normal temperature, which is extremely high in these contexts.

There has been a clear trend that foreshadowed the cooler climate that is now beginning to make itself felt in earnest.

INCREASINGLY COLD CLIMATE OVER THE PAST FIVE YEARS
Even now, the total snow mass in the northern hemisphere is well above normal. According to data from the Finnish Meteorological Institute, this is a total of almost 200 gigatons above the average for the years 1982-2012 (GlobSnow SWE v1.3), mountain regions not included. Others estimate the snow surplus at 250 gigatons. Earlier this year, during February-March, the total snow mass of 400-500 gigatons was above the same average, which is far above the normal (min-max) range.

No system media in any country mentioned this historical and sensational fact in a single headline. In addition, the global average temperature has fallen since 2016.

US jury convicts man who created computer code to help ISIS
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] A US federal jury convicted an Illinois man on Monday for creating a computer script intending to help ISIS spread propaganda online, according to a Department of Justice statement. For the latest headlines, follow our Google News channel online or via the app.

reliably Democrat Chicago, aka The Windy City or Mobtown
...home of Al Capone, the Chicago Black Sox, a succession of Daleys, Barak Obama, and Rahm Emmanuel...
man Thomas Osadzinski, 22, designed a computer script that he believed would make it easier for ISIS to reproduce its material posted online.

He shared his script and instructions on how to use it in 2019 with individuals he thought were ISIS supporters and members of pro-ISIS media groups.

The individuals turned out to be undercover FBI
...Formerly one of the world's premier criminal investigation organizations, something for a nation to be proud of. Now it's a political arm of the Deep State oligarchy that is willing to trump up charges, suppress evidence, or take out insurance policies come election time...
agents.

Osadzinski faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison after being found guilty of attempting to provide material support and resources to a foreign terrorist organization.

Assistant US Attorney Melody Wells told jurors last week that ISIS view their online messengers as equals to battlefield soldiers, The Chicago Sun Times reported.

"[Osadzinski] was responding to those directions to engage in media jihad to support ISIS on the digital front," Wells said. "There is nothing independent about this."

Defense attorney Joshua Herman argued that his client’s actions were protected by free speech laws.

He argued that "the First Amendment includes a right to say things that are disfavored, that are reprehensible, that are vile."

Wells added that Osadzinski resisted arrest and fought officers before he was finally apprehended.
CBS Chicago adds:
A federal jury on Monday found an ex-DePaul University student guilty of using his developing computer skills to help the Islamic State terrorist group spread violent propaganda on social media.

The jury deliberated about four hours beginning Friday before finding Thomas Osadzinski, 22, originally from Park Ridge, guilty of attempting to provide material support to a terrorist organization. He faces a maximum of 20 years in prison.

Prosecutors alleged Osadzinski, who had pledged fealty to ISIS, used skills he was learning in college to create a first-of-its-kind program aimed at helping the terrorist organization spread its violent messages online.

Osadzinski’s attorneys, however, painted him as a naive teenager “lost in the abyss of the internet” whose online activities were protected by the First Amendment.

The two-week trial was the latest in a string of ISIS-related cases brought in U.S. District Court in Chicago that have continued well after the collapse of the group’s caliphate in Syria and Iraq nearly four years ago.

In 2019, two friends from far north suburban Zion were convicted by a federal jury of attempting to aid the terrorist group by providing cellphones to an undercover FBI agent to be used as detonators for bombs. Joseph Jones was sentenced to 12 years in prison, while his co-defendant, Edward Schimenti, received 13½ years behind bars.

Osadzinski’s case was unique because it centered on a fairly rudimentary computer code he wrote, rather than the planning of any actual attack or attempt to send equipment overseas.

While Osadzinski’s lawyers downplayed his sophistication, prosecutors said his statements both online and in undercover recordings showed he was excited to have created a new and potentially powerful tool for ISIS, which relies heavily on social media to spread propaganda.

In her closing argument Friday, Assistant U.S. Attorney Melody Wells said Osadzinski’s computer program could rapidly download, replicate and spread violent ISIS videos faster than social media platforms could delete them, significantly improving the terrorist organization’s messaging capabilities.

A recent convert to Islam, Osadzinski spoke only rudimentary Arabic and fell victim to overzealous agents who pretended to be ISIS sympathizers, befriended him, and gave him a mission that in the end went nowhere, according to attorney Joshua Herman.

#1  The Battle of Adrianople occurred around Adrianople on April 14, 1205 between Bulgarians, Vlachs and Cumans under Tsar Kaloyan of Bulgaria, and Crusaders under Baldwin I, who only months before had been crowned Emperor of Constantinople, allied with Venetians[2] under Doge Enrico Dandolo. It was won by the Bulgarians, Vlachs and Cumans after a successful ambush.[3]

the Crusaders, who could not repay the leases on Venetian shipping, the Doge of Venice, Enrico Dandolo, suggested that the armies of the Fourth Crusade deviate from their intended goal of Jerusalem. Instead of continuing onwards, on the 12–13 April, year 1204 AD, the capital of the Byzantine Empire, Constantinople, was captured and sacked. Numerous cultural treasures were either destroyed or stolen, such as sacred texts, relics, manuscripts, icons, archives, works of art, as well as much wealth. The heart of Orthodox Christianity suffered irreparable damage, both from the sack, and the fires caused by the Crusader siege, which torched more than 2/3 of the city.

Ukrainian brigade commander bought investigator silence
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[NewsFront] Employees of the Security Service of Ukraine help the Ukrainian Armed Forces to cover up crimes. We are talking about the curator of the SBU, who concealed the facts of violations for bribes.

Press officer of the People's Militia of the LPR Alexander Mazeikin sid that the commander of one of the brigades paid a monthly "tribute" for keeping information about numerous violations undisclosed.

For the Ukrainian 30th Brigade, the curator from the SBU, Yuri Udovichenkov is responsible. The head of the unit paid him to ensure that the monthly reports did not indicate theft of ammunition from warehouses and the absence of military personnel.

"According to the information we have, Udovichenko receives from the brigade brigade Zinevich a specified amount of money on a monthly basis, which allows him to hide the facts of crimes committed in the brigade from the military prosecutor’s office and the military service of law and order," Mazeikin said.
Also handy for concealing organized crime activities on the Ukrainian side.

'Caravana Madre' With 95,000 Migrants to March Through Mexico to US

[THEGATEWAYPUNDIT] Announce a new caravan of "more than 95,000 people" to the border

Simultaneously with the confirmation of intelligence work in the DHS, activists and organizations in Tapachula said that preparations are progressing for a gigantic march that would leave Tapachula (border between Mexico and Guatemala) heading north towards the south of the United States.

"It will start on 23 (October) because people have the need to walk. This is an exodus from justice and poverty. More than 95,000 people will march north to demand that the laws be respected and their rights respected. We are not conspiring against anyone, but helping people find a better life, "says Luis García Villagrán, director of the Center for Human Dignification, AC in Tapachula.

Activists point out that it would be "the mother" of all the caravans and would confirm the fears expressed by Mayorkas at the end of September.

"Look, the US government should focus more on the reasons why people migrate. Especially knowing that in Honduras the gang is the State, it is a warehouse for drug trafficking destined for the United States. People in the countries are falling apart, that’s why they flee. No one is conspiring against anyone. Intelligence has to discover the reasons for the flight and demand that governments, like Mexico’s, respect the law, "he said.

Biden's fully-vaccinated Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas tests positive for COVID
[Daily Mail, Where America Gets Its News] Homeland Security Sec. Alejandro Mayorkas has tested positive for Covid-19, throwing off his plans to travel to Colombia with Sec. of State Antony Blinken. 'Secretary Mayorkas tested positive this morning for the COVID-19 virus after taking a test as part of routine pre-travel protocols. Secretary Mayorkas is experiencing only mild congestion; he is fully vaccinated and will isolate and work at home per CDC protocols and medical advice. Contact tracing is underway,' DHS spokesperson Marsha Espinosa said in a statement.

Blinken will now travel to Quito, Equador on Tuesday and Bogotá, Colombia without the DHS head to meet with President Iván Duque and Vice President-Foreign Minister Marta Lucía Ramírez on Wednesday and Thursday to discuss tackling irregular migration and drug trafficking, among other priorities.

The secretary attended an event with President Joe Biden
...... 46th president of the U.S. You're a lyin' dog-faced pony soldier......
on Saturday to honor fallen law enforcement.

It is not clear to what extent the two men had contact, but one photo shows Mayorkas standing beside First Lady Jill and Biden outside, all unmasked. FBI

'To Secretary of Homeland Security Mayorkas, thank you for being here and for the great job you're doing for us,' Biden said at the 40th Annual National Peace Officers' Memorial Service at the Capitol. 'Thank you very, very much. And it's a tough job.'

UK repatriating three British children from Syria
[Rudaw] The United Kingdom is repatriating three British children from a camp housing families suspected of being affiliated with the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
(ISIS) group in northeastern Syria (Rojava), it was revealed on Tuesday.

The children living at al-Hol camp were handed over on Monday by the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) to a delegation representing the UK’s foreign office, Abdulkarim Omar, the head of foreign relations for the Kurdish-led administration, announced on Tuesday.

Save the Children has estimated that more than 60 British children are trapped in Rojava. In a report published last month, the NGO found that Britannia had so far only repatriated four children from the camps.

The UK lags far behind its European and US allies in repatriating its citizens, despite calls from the international community and Kurdish officials. During a visit to Britannia this October, the co-chair of the Syrian Democratic Council, Ilhan Ahmed, asked the UK to "give us support, rehabilitate everyone and take them back to their homeland."

To many, it appears the UK has washed its hands of its citizens by revoking their citizenship and leaving them in the region. Earlier this year, the British-born ISIS member Shamima Begum lost the appeal to restore her citizenship after it was revoked by the UK’s Home Secretary in 2019, citing security concerns. Begum was 15-years old when she left London to join ISIS in Syria in 2015.

A report by the International Centre for the Study of Radicalisation (ICSR) at King's College London, estimates that up to 41,490 international citizens from 80 countries joined ISIS in Iraq and Syria between April 2013 and June 2018, with foreign women and kiddies accounting for approximately 25%.

An estimated 850 Britons travelled to Syria or Iraq to join the group, with around 40% either currently missing or held in Kurdish camps after having their UK citizenship removed.

Dems' dawning realization: Manchin's serious
[HOTAIR] Salena Zito warned everyone first, and Punchbowl follows up today with the same message: Joe Manchin
...Dem senator-for-life from West Virginia. Manchin is one of the approximately one Dem senators who exhibits more integrity than Jello, often even representing his constituents...
means what he says. Democrats and the media may not grasp this as it happens so rarely in Washington, and neither group has included that in its calculations. However,
alcohol has never solved anybody's problems. But then, neither has milk...
that reality keeps getting clearer and clearer, and the Punchbowl crew warn Democrats to figure it out — fast:

Manchin has been remarkably consistent, and all the major media outlets have reported it time and time again. If you’re surprised by what Manchin is saying now, maybe you’ve been really busy, tied up on other endeavors and haven’t listened to or read what he’s said. That’s understandable. Life moves pretty fast.

But if you have listened to Manchin and you’re still surprised by or enraged at his positions, that may be because you’re irrationally hopeful he will change his beliefs, or you’re engaging in wishful and likely unrealistic thinking. Maybe you’re just listening to what you want to hear. But don’t worry, you aren’t alone. Half of official Washington has decided that they’re going to ignore what Manchin says and believe he has a secret set of beliefs he’s waiting to unveil.

Here’s what you have to understand about Manchin: He says what he means. When he gets heavy pressure from the left, it helps him back home.

Here’s the reality: Joe Manchin is a filibuster-supporting conservative Democrat who is also an ardent supporter of coal, skeptical of big government and massive spending packages. He never pretends otherwise. Let’s all stop acting surprised when he says the same thing for the umpteenth time.

No kidding. That’s always been the reality, right along with the reality of an evenly split Senate. One would think that Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. The nincompoop who dumped Afghanistan. The copier doesdn't exist that could reelect him....
and Chuck Schumer
...Senator-for-life from New York, renowned for his love of standing in front of cameras and microphones. Schumer has been a professional politician since 1975, when disco was in flower, which is 45.87195 years, or 321.10365 years in dog years. Senate minority leader as of 2017...
would have put those two realities together and realize that launching a massive progressive-agenda reconciliation bill would have been a no-sale from the very beginning. Up to now, Democrats seem to have talked themselves into a fantasy that Manchin was just looking for a deal, or that they could pressure him into folding.

Psaki mocks supply-chain woes: 'The tragedy of the treadmill delayed'
[WASHINGTONTIMES] White House press secretary Jen Psaki
...a valley girl who woke up one morning and found she was spokeswoman for the U.S. Department of State under Obama. A new American success story, under Biden she became spokeswoman for the whole administration, and she was even able to get her sister a job...
came under fire on Tuesday after joking that it’s a "tragedy" some people may have to wait longer for their treadmill to arrive amid the supply-chain crisis that has disrupted global economies.

"The tragedy of the treadmill delayed," Ms. Psaki laughed when pressed about the supply-chain crisis during her daily press briefing.

Biden's pick for border chief backs building more wall

"Stores are running out of food, medical supplies, supply driving inflation but Pskai reduces real world problems down to the example of a treadmill for a chuckle. Hoo boy," wrote conservative talk show host Dana Loesch.

Ms. Psaki was asked what the administration is doing to address supply-chain disruptions and the potential that store shelves could be barren this holiday shopping season. She was also pressed on why President Joe Biden
...... 46th president of the U.S., who gives the term geriatric a bad name. He blames Afghans for losing Afghanistan.......
didn’t move sooner to address the chaos, or whether the administration didn’t expect the crisis to worsen.

"Well, that’s not actually true," Ms. Psaki responded. "The president formed a task force at the very beginning of his administration."

"And what we know about the global supply-chain issues is that they are multifaceted," she said. "Right now we’ve been focusing on the ports and issues at the ports and what leaders at these ports will tell you is that they’ve seen an increase in volume dramatically as it relates to last year — 20% to 30% increase in volume."

Ms. Psaki also said the administration has provided COVID-19 vaccines to countries where manufacturing sites are experiencing worker shortages. She said the White House has pushed state motor vehicle departments to expedite issuing commercial driver’s licenses to get more truckers on the road.

U.N. Climate Summit: A Meaningless Meeting Of Useless People
[ISSUESINSIGHTS] Later this month, private- and public-sector "leaders" will meet in Glasgow, Scotland. Nearly all will fly to the conference, many in private jets. And what will they talk about? Saving the climate from greenhouse gas emissions, of course. The United Nations
...an organization which on balance has done more bad than good, with the good not done well and the bad done thoroughly...
Conference of Parties on climate change, the 26th version of this long-running clown show, starts Oct. 31 and will run through Nov. 12. Media coverage will be both intense and obsequious; attendees, especially the ever-smug John F. I was in Vietnam, you know Kerry
Former Senator-for-Life from Massachussetts, self-defined war hero, speaker of French, owner of a lucky hat, conqueror of Cambodia, unsuccessful presidential candidate, and utterly failed Secretary of State...
, "special" climate envoy to the president, will speak in somber tones due to the seriousness at hand; warnings of impending doom will be issued; and absolutely nothing will be accomplished.

This is because there’s nothing to accomplish.

Despite the incessant screeching demands that we must save our planet by severely cutting our greenhouse gas emissions, it’s obvious that man’s impact on the climate is not creating an existential crisis. Every harsh weather event is blamed by activists, politicians, news hounds, editors, and celebrities as evidence that anthropogenic global warming is going to destroy Earth.

Of course these are often the same people who tell us we cannot take a single weather event, such as a cold snap or an unusually heavy snow, and extrapolate from that there is no man-made warming. They want man’s greenhouse gas emissions to be an existential crisis.

But they can’t have it no matter how much they want it.

"An existential threat is one that threatens the very existence of mankind. Something that is simply a challenge or an inconvenience is not an existential threat," explains University of Washington atmospheric sciences professor Cliff Mass. "An existential threat must have the potential to undermine the very viability of human civilization."

Mass believes "global warming is a serious problem" that will have "substantial impacts," but he says "in no way does it seriously threaten our species or human civilization."

"With reasonable mitigation and adaptation, mankind will continue to move forward — reducing poverty, living healthier lives, and stabilizing our population."

For those who haven’t noticed, humanity has been enormously successful at adapting to, and in many cases, overcoming an environment that is hostile to its existence.

Ukrainian Forces fired on Donetsk from 120mm mortars
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[REGNUM] The area of the village of Vesyoloye (DPR) came under fire from the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the evening of October 19, according to the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of the Ceasefire.

In the area of the village, Ukrainian militants opened fire from a 120mm mortar. The attack began at 1730 hrs Moscow time, the militants fired nine mines.

Ten minutes later, in the area of the village of Panteleymonovka in the DPR, the Armed Forces of Ukraine opened fire from automatic grenade launchers: 13 total were fired.

We add that on the morning of October 19, the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked the area of the village of Spartak in the DPR. Ukrainian militants fired 12 120mm mines across the DPR.

From the VKontakte page of Donetsk militia:
"We shoot only in response"

A DNI fighter commented on the situation at the front, according to one of the activists of Russian Spring Alexander Matyushina (call sign" Varyag "), units of the People's Militia DNI should be more actively respond to attacks and provocations by the APU..

According to Ukraina.ru, a former militia soldier told how in his opinion, should deal with the Ukrainian militants who bombard the houses of peaceful citizens of the People's Republic on a daily basis.

"When I was a commander of a company that was in positions, in response to a sniper's shot, the area from which he fired, was "combed" with mortars or, in extreme cases by the heavier guns.

"All this humanism towards those who destroy our people and our cities and towns should be discarded. We shoot only after our citizens and relatives have been killed, our houses have been destroyed. But we need to shoot so that this does not happen," Matyushin noted, adding that not being able to defeat the Donetsk people morally, Ukraine seeks to destroy them physically for the eighth year. They in fact have been carrying out genocide of the local population.

As previously reported, the new commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valery Zaluzhny, during a closed meeting with bloggers and activists, spoke about the cancellation of the order on the need to coordinate with the higher leadership when opening fire on the positions of the People's Militia and the cities of the People's Republics.

After that, many experts came to the conclusion that in this way an aggravation may occur at the front, which will lead to the resumption of large-scale hostilities and even the involvement of the Russian Federation in the conflict."
No, it won't and both sides know it.

Demography Is Destiny: The Future Will Be African [FWM]
Yeah, yeah. If the actual birth rate in Africa is half as much as claimed, I’d be shocked.
[Free West Media] Published July 2021 (You may have missed this Article)

Our future will be African. By 2100, one in three people on the planet will be African according to all demographic forecasts. Relative to other continents, this growth in Africa is unprecedented in human history.

Because one in three people will come from sub-Saharan Africa, Nigeria’s population will exceed that of China or India. Within less than three decades, the Democratic Republic of the Congo will have 200 million inhabitants and Abidjan, the capital of the Ivory Coast will have 10 million people.

In the Sahel the overall population of at least four countries will triple, according to Gilles Pison, professor at the National Museum of Natural History in Paris (MNHN — Sorbonne Universités) and associate researcher at INED.

The African population, estimated at 140 million in 1900, reached one billion inhabitants in 2010. It will number 2,5 billion in 2050 and more than 4 billion in 2100, according to United Nations projections. One in 6 people today lives in Africa. In 2050, it will be 1 in 4, and more than 1 in 3 by 2100, according to these same projections.

This rapid increase is because of the excess of births over deaths, with four times more births than deaths. Although the mortality on the continent may be the highest in the world, and fertility has also declined, African women were still giving birth to an average of 4,5 children each in 2017, compared to more than 6,5 forty years ago.

By comparison, only 2,1 children were born per woman in Asia in 2017, 2,0 in Latin America, 1,9 in North America. and 1,6 in Europe. So even if fertility continues to decline, as the average United Nations scenario assumes, this will not immediately result in a significant decrease in the growth rate.

Assuming that African fertility suddenly falls to 1,6 children per woman as in Europe or China — a highly improbable scenario — the population would however continue to increase for a few more decades to reach nearly 1,6 billion in 2050. Africa’s population includes many young adults of childbearing age, and therefore the result would still be a high number of births.

The evolution of fertility: several recent surprises

Iraq
One of Iraq’s ‘most wanted’ men arrested: security spokesperson
[Rudaw] One of the "most wanted" men in Iraq who was allegedly behind a deadly 2016 bombing in Baghdad’s Karrada district and other incidents was arrested, officials said on Monday.

"Five years after the terrorist bombing of Karrada, our brave forces succeeded in capturing the terrorist Ghazwan Alzawbaee in a complex intelligence operation outside the country," Mustafa al-Kadhimi, Iraqi prime minister and the commander-in-chief of the armed forces, said in a tweet.

"He is the primary culprit behind the Karrada atrocity and many others," he added.

Karrada, a commercial hub on the east bank of the Tigris River, had been the target of regular attacks since the US-led invasion in 2003. The district saw its deadliest explosion in July 2016, which killed over 250 people and maimed about 200 others. The attack was claimed by the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
(ISIS) group.

Spokesperson for the commander-in-chief, Yehia Rasool, said he is "one of the most wanted persons by the Iraqi judiciary, as this terrorist carried out many criminal operations against the Iraqi people and the Iraqi security forces."
The suicide car bombing in the central Karradah district was the deadliest attack by a single bomber in the Iraqi capital after the 2003 U.S.-led invasion that toppled Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein.

Two Iraqi intelligence officials said the man identified as Ghazwan al-Zobai, an Iraqi, was detained during a complex operation that was carried out with the cooperation of a neighboring country they did not name. He had been tracked by authorities for months.

They told The Associated Press that al-Zobai was detained in an unidentified foreign country and transported to Iraq two days ago. They spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak of the operation on the record.

The 29-year-old al-Zobai was an al-Qaida militant when he was imprisoned by the Americans in Iraq at Cropper prison until 2008, and then escaped from Abu Ghraib prison in 2013. He joined the Islamic State group after that.

The officials said al-Zobai plotted many attacks in Iraq, the most infamous of which was the 2016 bombing in Karrada in 2016. He operated under the Alias Abu Obaida.

DeSantis Critics Quiet as Florida COVID-19 Cases Drop
[NewsMax] A sharp reduction in Florida's COVID-19 cases appears to be of little interest to the mainstream media and critics who previously vilified GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis for his response to the pandemic.

New infections per 100,000 Florida residents dropped to 12 during the past week, according to The New York Times coronavirus tracker. Cases dropped by 48% in the state over the past 14 days.

DeSantis was criticized by Democrats and the media for loosening pandemic restrictions ahead of other state leaders, the Washington Examiner reported Tuesday.

Other states with far more extreme pandemic restrictions are seeing COVID-19 continue to spread faster than Florida.

Joe Biden Jetting Planeloads of Cabinet, Aides to Europe to Combat Climate Change
[REDSTATE] Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S., father of Hunter. He blames Trump for losing Afghanistan....
will demonstrate his determination to fight climate change by flying more than a dozen Cabinet members across the Atlantic next week — in several passenger jets consuming tons of fossil fuels at high altitudes.

Plus, of course, Biden’s own customized 747 Air Force One with remote-control window shades. Biden will take the four-engine goliath another 2,450 miles to Rome and back for what seems like yet another monthly G-20 meeting. And then, of course, when in Rome, the ardent child sacrifice abortion advocate will flaunt his Roman Catholic faith in an audience with Pope Francis
...Argentine liberation theologist, born Jorge Mario Bergoglio. He was elected pope in 2013. Rather than setting up shop in Avignon, where he belongs, the first Jesuit Pope chose to reside in the Domus Sanctae Marthae guesthouse instead of the papal apartments. He is big on climate change, against consumerism, and in favor of throwing a blanket over homosexual activity (so to speak) within the clergy. He's not real sure about the Resurrection, about Christ's divinity, and a few other things that would have gotten him burned at the stake a few hundred years ago, but he's hot for a certain South American Earth Mother Goddess...
, trying to snuff simmering rumors of his impending excommunication.

All this for the Democrat to show participants in the U.N.’s Climate Change Conference in Glasgow how all-in he is to save the global environment from the terrible things that other wanton humans are doing to cause and worsen global warming for their own ends. As one site called it, "a meaningless meeting of useless people."

And, as usual, to contrast himself after the four-year presidency of you-know-who, who withdrew the United States from the Gay Paree Climate Accords of 2015 because he said they were a waste of time and crippled the U.S. economy without forcing worse polluters like China and India to do much.

These regular U.N. conferences all over the world are single-handedly responsible not only for bloated expense accounts but also for deforesting countless acres for the paper to print their reports, addendums, appendices, and reports on the reports.

Climate change (f/k/a global warming) has been a longtime fetish of Joe Biden and his mentor Barack Obama
How much damage could he do in four years?... Eight, then...
. In June, we wrote about Joe Biden betraying our military by telling them that the greatest threat to national security was climate change, not what they spend every waking hour training for, protecting the country.

#4  Send everyone at the EPA to Europe and leave them there, like you did to the Americans in Afghanistan, tell them you are saving them from the continued persecution they faced in the U.S., and they now have "Special Refugee Status" in a more "Progressive Green Part of the World". Also, They are part of the "New Green Lend Lease Program"; they are All on Permanent Lend, don't come back to the U.S. until they solve All the Green Issue of the World.

Greta is their new "Go-to-girl for everything Green", she is the "Ultimate Green Goddess for Mother Gaia"....Support & Obey Her !!!

Belarusian citizen reporting on torture in Russian prisons seeks asylum in France
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Rusvesna] Belarusian Sergei Savelyev, who allegedly submitted videos of torture in Russian prisons for publication on the Internet, asked for political asylum in France, AFP claims after a conversation with Savelyev.

Earlier, a video about sexual assault and torture of convicts appeared on YouTube.

The Telegram channel Gulagu.net explained that these footage recorded at least four episodes of violence and torture, torture and humiliation of prisoners, which, according to the report, took place in the Regional Tuberculosis Hospital (OTB) No. 1 of the Federal Penitentiary Service in the Saratov region.

The UK opened a number of cases on sexual violence and abuse of power.

Agence France-Presse does not provide evidence that Saveliev specifically collected and transferred these frames for publication, referring only to his words. The agency uses the general wording "the man who leaked the video" in relation to him.

The former prisoner, a 31-year-old Belarusian, quotes from a conversation with which are quoted by "France-Presse", arrived in France through Turkey and Tunisia, since Friday he has been at the Paris Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airport in the waiting area for asylum seekers.

According to the agency, Savelyev was serving a sentence in a Saratov colony in a drug trafficking case. The agency writes that Saveliev, under the guise of servicing computers, quietly downloaded video files from prisons throughout Russia.

Savelyev said that shortly before his release in February 2021, he managed to hide the media on which the data was registered near the release from prison.

Earlier, the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation said that the department had begun checking in the institutions of the penitentiary system of the Saratov region for the observance of the rights of convicts.

The Federal Penitentiary Service announced the dismissal of the head of OTB No. 1, three more employees of the regional department of the department, and also sent documents for the dismissal of the head of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Saratov Region, Colonel of the Internal Service Alexei Fedotov.

The press secretary of the Russian president Dmitry Peskov said that the Kremlin knows about the video of the rape of a prisoner in the Saratov region, the FSIN is dealing with this, if the authenticity of the materials is confirmed, this will become a pretext for a serious investigation.
