Senator Josh Hawley Reveals DHS Emails Showing Coordinated Effort for Govt to use Big Tech to Censor American Speech
[ConservativeTreehouse] From the moment the DHS disinformation governance board was discovered it was obvious the agency was created in order for Homeland Security to partner with social media platforms to control, monitor and track the speech of American citizens. DHS denied that was the intent; however, Senator Josh Hawley has discovered emails showing all suspicions were accurate.

Senator Hawley appeared on Tucker Carlson Wednesday night to discuss.

Alleged Israeli strike said to prevent Iran from landing weapon systems in Syria
[IsraelTimes] Attack on May 20 that hit the Damascus International Airport damaged runways, satellite imagery shows, reportedly keeping Iran
...They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
from landing Boeing 747 cargo planes

An unusual surface-to-surface missile attack targeting Damascus International Airport that took place two weeks ago and was attributed to Israel was successful in damaging some runways, preventing large cargo planes from landing at the airport.

As a result, Iran has been unable to land the Boeing 747 cargo planes it uses to deliver systems equipped with guidance technology for upgrading existing missiles into precision-guided missiles, Channel 12 news reported Tuesday.

Citing satellite imagery of the Syrian airport following the alleged attack, the report noted that runways at the site were bombed on both ends, shortening them significantly and preventing large planes from landing.

According to the report, the strategic strike achieved its purpose and helped address an issue of great concern for Israel — Iranian weapons and missile-improving systems shipped from Iran to its Lebanese proxy Hezbollah through Syria.

Israel has admitted to carrying out hundreds of sorties over Syria in the last decade, mostly to stymie attempts by the Islamic Theocratic Republic to transfer weapons or establish a foothold in a country that borders Israel.

The attack that hit the Damascus International Airport on May 20, however, was unusual in that it used surface-to-surface missiles launched from the Golan Heights, the Syrian state-run broadcaster SANA reported.

Three Syrian soldiers were reportedly killed in the strike, which was the second within a week to target the country.

The strike came hours after the Israel Defense Forces’ Arabic-language spokesperson accused the son-in-law of slain Iran Revolutionary Guards Quds Force commander Qassem Soleimani
of smuggling weapons from Iran to its Lebanese proxy Hezbollah using civilian flights via Syria.

Avichay Adraee accused Iran and Hezbollah of "endangering civilians" by smuggling the armaments via civilian flights to Damascus International Airport in order "to maintain secrecy."

There was no immediate comment from the IDF following the strike.

Assailants attack off-duty cops in East Jerusalem, gun briefly stolen
[IsraelTimes] Police open fire in Issawiya to scare away attackers, who remain on the lam, though firearm later found; one officer lightly injured

Police were deployed across the Paleostinian East Jerusalem neighborhood of Issawiya late Wednesday and early Thursday after two off-duty officers were attacked there and one had a gun briefly stolen.

Officers opened fire in the crowded residential neighborhood to fend off the assault, during which one police officer suffered light injuries. The suspects remained on the loose as of 2 a.m. Thursday, though the stolen firearm was recovered.

The two cops were in an unmarked car with another passenger near the entrance of Issawiya at approximately 11:15 p.m. when they were attacked with "severe violence," police said.

Assailants threw stones at the car and shot pepper spray at the cops and the other passenger while chasing them into the adjacent French Hill neighborhood.

"The police who feared for their lives had gun sex in an attempt to clear away the attackers, who then expeditiously departed at a goodly pace," a police statement said.

The officer who required treatment was injured by both pepper spray and rocks thrown at him, according to police.

The car they were driving in suffered heavy damage. Video from the scene showed all the windows of the car smashed and a large cinderblock resting on the windshield.

A large number of police were deployed following the incident to locate the attackers and recover the gun, which they eventually found. Among those at the scene was Jerusalem police chief Doron Turgeman.

The incident occurred hours after a Paleostinian man drove off with a soldier’s rifle after a traffic stop in the southern West Bank earlier in the day.

It was not immediately clear if the suspect grabbed the weapon, as alleged by the army, or if it got stuck in the car door, as security footage appeared to show.

"During the questioning, the driver was asked to identify himself. The driver of the vehicle grabbed the M16 weapon of one of the officers and began driving while dragging the officer until the weapon detached from his body," police said in a statement.

Two security camera videos of the incident appeared to show one of the officers removing the rifle with a shoulder strap from his body, and thrusting the weapon into the window of the car, before the driver took off.

According to Hebrew-language media reports, the man turned himself in to the Paleostinian Authority security forces, with the weapon, which will be returned to Israel.

My ex-wife worked at zip2 in the 90s, Musks first company. He wanted to be one of the common folk with a cube among the engineers instead of an office. Problem was he had a lot of meetings so he needed a bigger cube, like four times the normal size. Then they eventually got him an office because an office doubles as a meeting room with privacy.

So good intentions but narrow focused in his thinking, at least then and on that issue.

Israeli tanks said to destroy Syrian army outpost built in Golan demilitarized zone
[IsraelTimes] IDF reportedly drops pamphlets warning Syria’s military against operating in off-limits area between the two countries

Israeli tanks shelled an observation post set up by the Syrian military in a demilitarized part of the Golan Heights early Wednesday morning, Syrian reports said.

According to several local Syrian sources, the outpost near the village of al-Malgah in the Quneitra region was destroyed in the attack.

The Israel Defense Forces refused to comment, in line with its policy of not officially acknowledging specific strikes in Syria, save for those that are in retaliation for attacks against Israel.

Following the strike, Israeli aircraft dropped flyers near the border warning Syrian soldiers against operating in the demilitarized zone between the two countries, Syria’s pro-opposition Houran Radio reported.

The flyers, which were written in Arabic and addressed to the "commanders of the Syrian [Arab] Army," matched the style of similar leaflets that have been dropped in Syria in the past and included the silhouette of an eagle — the symbol of the IDF’s 210th Bashan Division, which is tasked with defending Israel’s frontier with Syria and the Golan Heights.

"As we warned you previously, we will not tolerate any presence of the Syrian army as long as it continues to violate the disengagement agreement, by being in a demilitarized zone," the flyer read.

The flyer also included images of Syrian soldiers allegedly seen operating in the demilitarized zone.

According to another pro-opposition Syrian source in the Golan Heights, the location was used by Iranian or Iran-backed forces. The claim could not be independently verified, but Israel has repeatedly accused the Syrian military of actively assisting the Iran-backed Hezbollah terror group in the area.

The IDF has warned the Syrian military against this, both through flyers dropped along the border and through overt public appeals, in some cases naming the Syrian and Hezbollah officials involved, including officers from Syria’s 90th Brigade and 1st Division.

Israel fears Iranian entrenchment on its northern frontier, and it has repeatedly struck Iran-linked facilities and weapons convoys destined for Hezbollah.

The demilitarized zone, which is about seven kilometers (3.5 miles) at its widest and 200 meters (yards) at its narrowest, was created after the 1973 Yom Kippur War, in which Syria tried to retake the strategic plateau.

The Golan Heights was captured by Israel from Syria during the 1967 Six Day War.

Britain
Movie theater chain halts UK screenings of film about Prophet Muhammad’s daughter
[IsraelTimes] Protesters rally outside Bolton and Birmingham locations of Cineworld after its June 3 showing prompts safety concerns, harsh criticism from Islamic organizations

Cineworld, a British movie theater chain headed by an Israeli, has pulled a controversial film about the daughter of the Prophet Muhammad from all of its locations after protests took place outside of theaters, a Wednesday report said.

The chain said the decision was "to ensure the safety of our staff and customers," according to the BBC.

More than 120,000 people have signed a petition for the film, "The Lady of Heaven," to be pulled from UK cinemas. Protests of up to 200 people were reported at the Bolton and Birmingham theater locations of Cineworld on Sunday.

The chain is headed by Israeli CEO Mooky Greidinger, who, along with his brother, Israel, owns 29 percent of the company.

The Bolton Council of Mosques in particular spoke out against the film, calling it "blasphemous" and saying it "misrepresents orthodox historical narratives and disrespects the most esteemed individuals of Islamic history," according to the report.

The film’s executive producer, Malik Shlibak, said he welcomed people expressing their views but said cinemas should "stand up and defend their right to show films that people want to see."

"I think cinemas are crumbling to the pressure, and taking these decisions to quell the noise," Shlibak told The Guardian.

The film, which premiered in the UK on June 3, tells the story of Lady Fatima, the daughter of the Prophet Muhammad. Some critics argue that the very mention of the prophet is an insult to Islam.
"everything is an insult to Islam, even Mohamhead"
The film’s website explains that holy figures were not represented by actors, but were rather portrayed as special effects and lighting techniques, as the representation of sacred figures is taboo in Islam.
"They were portrayed as explosions"
However,
by candlelight every wench is handsome...
the film has racked up heavy criticism in light of its plot and portrayals of sacred figures, particularly of Fatima and Aisha, Muhammad’s wife.

The UK-based Islamic media organization 5Pillars said the film was "two hours plus of the most extreme Shia sectarian narratives."

IDF accuses Hezbollah of gathering intelligence under guise of environmental group
[IsraelTimes] Military’s Arabic-language spokesperson publishes images of ’Green Without Borders’ post along Lebanon Hezbollahstan
...In 2020 Hezbollah blew up a considerable portion of Beirut and many of its inhabitants when its ammonium nitrate facility exploded. They blamed it on... somebody else. It wasn't them though. Trust them on that. And it ain't never coming to trial...
security fence, alleging it to be a front for the Iran-backed terror group.

The Israeli military on Wednesday accused the Lebanese Hezbollah terrorist group of conducting clandestine activities along the border with Israel under the guise of an environmental group known as "Green Without Borders."

The Israel Defense Forces has made similar claims in recent years, identifying several observation posts owned by the non-governmental organization, which the army said were actually being used to carry out intelligence and reconnaissance work for the Iran-backed terror group.

"Unveiled: A new frontier reconnaissance site for Hezbollah bandidos Death Eaters to collect intelligence on the Lebanese border under the guise of the Green Without Borders association," Avichay Adraee, the IDF’s Arabic-language front man, said on Twitter.

In a series of tweets, Adraee attached photos of the alleged Hezbollah members taking pictures and observing Israel from a small structure on the border.

According to the IDF, the alleged Hezbollah position represents a violation of United Nations
...a formerly good idea gone bad...
Security Council Resolution 1701, which ended the 2006 second Lebanon war.

The resolution calls for gangs besides the official Lebanese military and peacekeeping United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) to remain north of the country’s Litani River.

In 2017, the United Nations rejected Israel’s claim that Hezbollah was using the NGO as a front for its activities.

At the time, UNIFIL said that while "Green Without Borders" members have planted trees in the area, it "has not observed any unauthorized armed persons at the locations or found any basis to report a violation of resolution 1701."

Adraee noted that the head of the IDF’s Northern Command said Tuesday that Hezbollah recently stepped up construction on military infrastructure near the border.

"Recently, Hezbollah has intensified construction on its posts right here along the border," said Maj. Gen. Amir Baram, at an annual ceremony commemorating those IDF soldiers who bit the dust in the Second Lebanon War.

"We can see the operatives approaching the border area. We know them: their names, where they come from and where they are working. When the time comes, they will pay the price," he said.

Baram vowed that the IDF will "destroy all the infrastructure" in question and "will reduce it to nothing."

Baram also directed a jab at UNIFIL: "Hezbollah is continuing to build its terrorist assets despite the presence of UNIFIL forces close to its positions."

But, he added, "Don’t worry, we never rely on anyone else for our safety."

The army in the past has accused UNIFIL of failing to stymie Hezbollah activity near the border, despite the terror group being banned from operating in the area.

Gulf task force sanctions IRGC-linked individuals for financing terrorism, money laundering
[Rudaw] A regional task force on combatting the financing of terrorism and money laundering placed three individuals on a sanctions list for providing financial support to the Quds Force, the external arm of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and to Lebanese Hezbollah.

The three individuals identified as Ali Qasir, Meghdad Amini, and Morteza Hashemi are already on the US Treasury Department list and were named by the Terrorist Financing Targeting Center (TFTC), which consists of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar

, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The center was created in order to enhance multilateral efforts between the US and Gulf countries to counter money laundering and terrorism financing networks in the region.

"These complex networks of intermediaries allow the IRGC-QF to obfuscate its involvement in selling Iranian oil. The IRGC-QF also relies on these individuals to launder money for Hizballah [Hezbollah] officials and front companies and to broker associated contracts," the Treasury Department said in a statement.

The Treasury Department said that Amini and Qasir directed a network of 20 individuals and front companies in multiple jurisdictions to facilitate the movement and sale of tens of millions of dollars’ worth of gold, electronics, and foreign currency to help the Quds Force and Hezbollah, both designated as foreign terrorist organization by Washington.

Hashemi on the other hand operated mostly in Hong Kong and China, and according to the Treasury Department, he used "his access to the international financial system to launder vast sums of money for the IRGC-QF and Hizballah [Hezbollah]." Hashemi also used Chinese nationals to open bank accounts and used these individuals to purchase "U.S.-origin, dual-use products for onward shipment to Iran."

All three individuals were sanctioned by the US in the past years for their roles in helping the IRGC-QF which was sanctioned by the US in 2007. The three individuals were amongst 16 individuals, entities and groups that were sanctioned including two groups operating out of Bahrain and reportedly directed by IRGC.

nuclear deal. It is not clear if Monday’s action in sanctioning the IRGC-linked individuals and groups will impact the way in which Iran perceives Oman.

An Iranian official from the oil ministry, who did not want to be named, told state-run agency IRNA that in the first two months of this Iranian year of 1401, which started on 21st of March, Tehran has managed to increase its oil revenue by 60 percent. In the first two months of last Iranian years, the revenue stood at 4.5 billion dollars but this year it jumped to 7.5 billion dollars.

Iran is currently at loggerheads with the ineffective International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) over traces of uranium found in at least two undeclared sites, with the agency pushing Iran to provide an explanation.

reported Wednesday.

The report did not identify the site, but it appeared to be a new pressure technique by Tehran as Western nations seek to censure Iran at a meeting this week of the ineffective International Atomic Energy Agency.

The Iranian state television

report described the two cameras as monitoring "OLEM enrichment levels and flowmeters." That appeared to refer to the IAEA's Online Enrichment Monitors, which watch the enrichment of uranium gas through piping at enrichment facilities.

Iran currently is enriching at both its Fordo and Natanz underground nuclear sites.

"The Islamic Theocratic Republic of Iran has so far had extensive cooperation with the ineffective International Atomic Energy Agency," state TV said in its report. "Unfortunately, the agency, without considering this cooperation ... not only did not appreciate this cooperation, but also considered it as a duty of Iran."

Tehran said its civilian nuclear arm, the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, monitored the shutdown of the cameras. It said 80% of the existing cameras are IAEA "safeguard" cameras and they will continue to operate as before.

The Vienna-based IAEA declined to immediately comment.

Iran already has been holding footage from IAEA surveillance cameras since February 2021 as a pressure tactic to restore the atomic accord.

Iran and world powers agreed in 2015 to the nuclear deal, which saw Tehran drastically limit its enrichment of uranium in exchange for the lifting of economic sanctions. In 2018, then-President Donald Trump

unilaterally withdrew America from the accord, raising tensions across the wider Middle East and sparking a series of attacks and incidents.

Talks in Vienna over Iran's tattered nuclear deal have been stalled since April. Since the deal's collapse, Iran runs advanced centrifuges and has a rapidly growing stockpile of enriched uranium. Nonproliferation experts warn Iran has enriched enough up to 60% purity — a short technical step from weapons-grade levels of 90% — to make one nuclear weapon if it choose.

Iran insists its program is for peaceful purposes, though United Nations experts and Western intelligence agencies say Iran had an organized military nuclear program through 2003.

Building a nuclear bomb would still take Iran more time if it pursued a weapon, analysts say, though they warn Tehran's advances make the program more dangerous. Israel has threatened in the past it will carry out a preemptive strike to stop Iran — and already is suspected in a series of recent killings targeting Iranian officials.

In a statement Tuesday to the IAEA, La Belle France, Germany and the United Kingdom warned the moves taken by Tehran are "further reducing the time Iran would take to break out towards a first nuclear weapon and it is fueling distrust as to Iran's intentions."

"The IAEA has been without crucial access to data on centrifuge and component manufacturing for a year and half now," the statement warned. "This means that neither the agency, nor the international community, know how many centrifuges Iran has in its inventory, how many were built, and where they may be located."

The countries urged Iran "to stop escalating its nuclear program and to urgently conclude deal that is on the table."

But just before the camera announcement, the head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran had insisted the country had no secret nuclear activity and accused the West of making a "political move" by trying to censure his country.

"Iran has had maximum cooperation with the IAEA," Mohammad Eslami said, according to the state-run IRNA news agency.

-Short Attention Span Theater-
Drug addiction, depravity, cheating with his dead brother's widow... and very murky finances: the explosive book by the ex-wife of Joe Biden's scandal-ravaged son Hunter that is causing a new nightmare for the President
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] They’d been married for 22 years when Kathleen Buhle made the appalling discovery in 2015 that her husband, the father of her three daughters, was hopelessly addicted to drink, drugs and sex.

‘I found hundreds [of credit card charges] at liquor stores and strip clubs,’ she writes. ‘The whole time, he told me he was healthy and sober — and I was crazy. I continually told him that I was the one person actually trying to get him sober. It became my own kind of addiction.’

While this sort of tale of sordid excess certainly has a familiar ring to it, Kathleen wasn’t married to yet another troubled Hollywood star but to Hunter Biden, the son of the U.S. President.

Kathleen would later learn that Hunter — whom she’d met when they were serving together in their 20s in the Jesuit Volunteer Corps — frequently hired prostitutes, obsessively trawled through internet porn and had such a serious drug problem that she found a crack cocaine pipe in their ashtray.

Worst of all, he had an affair with his own brother’s widow — a shocking development even for someone as depraved as Hunter, 52, and a discovery that Kathleen reveals was only made after their children saw incriminating text messages on his phone.

Kathleen, 53, who finally divorced Hunter in 2017, has broken her silence about their sordid marriage in a revealing new autobiography, If We Break: A Memoir Of Marriage, Addiction, And Healing is due to be published next week — but early extracts have already left White House officials nervous. From what they’ve read, it is clear the Biden family will not be spared any blushes.

While the Biden camp has in the past been able to dismiss any focus on Hunter as political trouble-stirring — with the New York Times and Washington Post even claiming it was Kremlin disinformation — it will be much harder to change the subject when the criticism comes from his long-suffering ex-wife, a close friend of Michelle Obama.

And for the President, the timing really couldn’t be worse. Amid continuing questions over his mental alertness, he’s floundering badly in the polls, with the expectation that the forthcoming November midterm elections will hammer the Democrats.

And then there’s the potentially awkward — and still unanswered — questions over emails retrieved from a damaged computer of Hunter’s which he abandoned in a repair shop in April 2019 and which appear to contradict Joe’s repeated insistence that his son never discussed his shady business affairs with him.

Turkish Artillery Shells Villages In Aleppo

Turkish forces and their affiliated armed factions, also known as Syrian National Army (SNA), targeted on Wednesday Shahba region in Aleppo northern countryside where Afrin IDPs have been taking shelter since 2018.

The Turkish forces and the SNA factions shelled the vicinity of the village of Umm Hawsh in lands planted with wheat.

Since the Turkish “Olive Branch” operation in 2018, through which Turkey occupied Afrin region, the inhabitants fled their homes and resorted to Shahba region (Aleppo northern countryside) which includes about 40 villages and five camps and is controlled by Syrian government and Russian forces.

The villages of the northern countryside of Aleppo are witnessing a Turkish military escalation, as they are bombed almost daily, coinciding with the start of the harvesting season.

On Tuesday evening, the Turkish forces fired two shells at the village of Ibbin in the south of Afrin, wounding a woman in her forearm.

The shelling also caused material damage to the house of two other civilians in the village.

The Turkish military escalation in the northern countryside of Aleppo coincides with recent statements by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, threatening to launch a military operation on north Syria particularly Tel Rifaat and Manbij.

On June 1, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan renewed his threats of launching a military operation on northern Syria, and specified his targets in the two Syrian cities of Manbij and Tel Rifaat, which include many Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs).

On May 23, Erdogan announced taking steps to complete the so-called remained portions of the “safe zone” plan along Turkey’s southern border saying, “We will soon take new steps regarding the incomplete portions of the project we started on the 30 km deep safe zone we established along our southern border.”

The Turkish “safe zone” is an area of 30-35 km (19-22 miles) deep into Syrian territory that Turkey started establishing in 2019 to house Syrian refugees in an area along its border with Syria, as well as to keep it free from the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), which it regards as terrorists.

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
War in Ukraine. Summary 06/08/2022
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Commentary by Russian military journalist Boris Rozhin

[ColonelCassad] 1. Severodonetsk.
Fighting continues in the industrial zone of the city, as well as for the villages of Borovskoye, Voronovo and Metelkino. The fortified area near Borovsky is partially broken into. The enemy is concentrating his efforts on holding the Azot plant and adjacent buildings.

2. Svyatogorsk.
The clearing of the forest in the Svyatogorsk region continues, as well as fighting in the Lavra region, where the enemy maintains a presence on the heights and prevents the RF Armed Forces from expanding the captured bridgehead on the other side of the Seversky Donets. There are also reports about the occupation of the Russian Armed Forces of the villages of Sosnovoye and Tatyanovka. On a number of sites to Slavyansk 18-20 kilometers.

3. Izyum.
The RF Armed Forces continued attacks in the area of Krasnopolye and Dolina, as well as battles for Bogorodichnoye. No changes in the area of Kurulka and Bolshaya Kamyshevakha.

4. Kharkov.
Positional fighting to the north of the outskirts of the city continued. In response to the shelling of border villages in the Belgorod and Kursk regions, attacks on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kharkov and Sumy regions were intensified. The main front line - Cossack Lopan - Liptsy - Ternovoe - Rubizhnoye is still preserved.

5. Zolotoye.
Fighting continued in the Vrubovka area, as well as on the southern outskirts of Zolote. To the north of Gorskoye, fighting continued in the area of Ustinovka and Toshkovka.

6. Soledar.
High-intensity battles continued for the Artemovsk-Lysichansk highway near Berestovoye and Belogorovka. In fact, a counter battle is going on here, as the RF Armed Forces are trying to physically cut the highway, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on the contrary, are trying with all their might to push the RF Armed Forces away from the highway. At the same time, the RF Armed Forces retain fire control over its greater length. The supply of the Severodonetsk grouping has already been largely reorganized through Seversk. The fighting at Stryapovka also continued.

7. Svetlodarsk.
The battles for the Novolugansk and Uglegorsk TPPs continued. A serious advance from this direction to Artemovsk will be difficult without taking the thermal power plant and the fortified area located to the north-west. Also, it has not yet been possible to completely eliminate the fortified area of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Pilipchatino area.

8. Avdievka.
Fighting continued near the Avdievka-Konstantinovka highway. It has not yet been possible to advance to the outskirts of Krasnogorovka (which is necessary to bypass Avdievka from the north). Fighting continued near Novobakhmutovka and on the outskirts of New York.

9. Zaporozhye.
Positional battles continued on the Kamenskoye-Orekhov-Gulyaipole-Velikaya Novoselovka line. The front line does not undergo significant changes, although the enemy claims that the RF Armed Forces are preparing for an attack on the administrative center of the region.

10. Kherson.
After a number of unsuccessful offensive actions and losses incurred, the enemy temporarily went on the defensive in the Nikolaev and Krivoy Rog directions, but is preparing to resume offensive attempts, replenishing battered units and strengthening the group operating in the Krivoy Rog directions.

Seven attacks repelled in Donbas, fighting continues
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Vesti] On Wednesday, June 8, in the area of responsibility of the fighters of the Joint Forces group, the Russians unsuccessfully tried to attack seven times in the Donetsk and Luhansk directions . Fighting is still ongoing at two more locations, the JFO command said.

Today, the Russians shelled at least 20 settlements in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions. In doing so, they destroyed and damaged 28 civilian facilities, including 21 residential buildings, two schools , one prison, one farm, and one beekeeping farm. " As a result of these attacks , four civilians were killed and six more were injured ," the JFO said .

In turn, the Ukrainian defenders over the past day destroyed:

  • three enemy tanks;

  • two armored fighting vehicles;

  • four units of automotive equipment;

Air defense units in the sky of the Ukrainian Donbas shot down six unmanned aerial vehicles of the Orlan-10 type.

June 8 is the 105th day of the war between Russia and Ukraine. In Donbass, according to President Zelensky, between 60 and 100 Ukrainian soldiers die at the front every day. Briefly about the main thing that is happening in the country right now, about the situation in the regions, the addresses of the president and the government, as well as all the relevant information from key departments - online Vesti.ua .

Gaidai believes that there is no threat of encirclement of our people in Severodonetsk

[Vesti] In the Luhansk region, the most "hot" in Severodonetsk, there are battles, and the enemy regularly bombs the city. However, at the moment, despite the fact that the Russians promise to capture ("liberate") the city "in just a few hours", there is no threat of encirclement of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Severodonets, says the head of the Lugansk military administration, Sergei Gaidai.

"At Severodonetsk, the situation is very difficult. For the Russians, the capture of the city is fundamental, because they have already lied that they completely control it, but in fact there are battles in the city. Therefore, they throw all the reserves there and fire from everything they have. A couple of days ago , (our) special forces really came in and cleared almost half of the city. When the Russians realized this, they simply began to level it with airstrikes and artillery. It makes no sense to sit in some high-rise building and wait until everything is completely destroyed. Therefore, ours are now again control only the outskirts of the city. But the fighting is still going on, Severodonetsk is being defended by us, it is impossible to say that the Russians completely control the city. And in the near future, I hope that this will not happen," Gaidai said.

According to him, the Lisichansk-Bakhmut highway is not controlled by the Russians, but "the Russians are shelling very powerfully."

"We have access to Lisichansk, we bring humanitarian supplies every day and we are trying to evacuate people now ," Gaidai says. He clarifies that he does not yet see the threat of encirclement of our forces in the Lugansk direction: "Russia really wants this. I communicate with the military, now there is no threat of encirclement. Our command is in control of the situation. Yes, it is difficult, but controllable ."

Gaidai notes that approximately 15,000 people remained in Severodonetsk and Lisichansk.

"Some of them are elderly people who simply do not want to go anywhere, their thesis is:" we were born here, we will die here. no matter what, but a projectile, a bomb or a rocket will not fly to them. Well, there is a small part of the people who are waiting for the "Russian world," - says the head of the regional administration.

He believes that in the near future the Russian army will concentrate all efforts on seizing Severodonetsk and blocking the Bakhmut-Lysichansk highway, the Russians will throw all their reserves into the complete capture of the Luhansk region. At the same time, Gaidai says that the Armed Forces of Ukraine can recapture Severodonetsk , but the city is not of great strategic importance.

Government Corruption
Former US Congressman (D-PA) Pleads Guilty to Election Fraud
[ET] A former U.S. congressman has pleaded guilty to several election fraud charges, including bribery and falsification of voting records.

Former Rep. Michael Myers (D-Pa.), 79, admitted to bribing an election judge in Philadelphia, Domenick Demuro, to illegally add votes for certain candidates, including candidates for federal and state offices.

Myers and Demuro, both Democrats, supported fellow Democrat candidates. Myers would receive payments from the candidates, by cash or check, and send a portion of the funds to Demuro.
And 10% for the Big Guy?
The judge of elections for the 39th Ward, 36th Division in South Philadelphia would then add fraudulent votes for Myers’s clients.

"At Myers’s direction, Demuro would add these fraudulent votes to the totals during Election Day, and then would later falsely certify that the voting machine results were accurate," the Department of Justice said in a statement.
I'm supposed to believe this is the only time and place this has happened?
The fraud took place during elections starting in 2014 and going through 2018, authorities said.

Myers also admitted to conspiring to commit fraud with Marie Beren, a judge of elections for the 39th Ward, 2nd Division in Philadelphia. Myers acknowledged directing Beren to add votes to candidates he supported, including candidates for judicial office who had hired Myers.

Demuro pleaded guilty in 2020 to conspiring to deprive people of civil rights and using interstate facilities in aid of bribery. Demuro was supposed to be sentenced on June 30, 2020, but sentencing has repeatedly been postponed. It is currently scheduled to take place on June 14.
Arranging for the pardon.
Beren, another Democrat, pleaded guilty in 2021. The charges to which she pleaded guilty weren’t clear because the details are sealed. Beren was set to be sentenced on Feb. 15 but the hearing was postponed until Aug. 16.
Maybe she's gonna hang herself.

Ukrainian Perspective: Invasion of Ukraine: June 8th, 2022
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Korrespondent] 23:35 The first deputy head of the "administration of the head of the DPR" was Alexander Kostomarov, the former first deputy head of the Ulyanovsk region, Russian media report. Yevgeny Solntsev, who previously served as assistant to the Minister of Construction and Housing and Public Utilities of the Russian Federation, and before that worked in the structure of Russian Railways, became the deputy chairman of the "government of the DNR".

23:33 Reznikov said he had a "fruitful" conversation with Slovak Defense Minister Yaroslav Nagy: "We appreciate that the Slovak Republic is so eager to help secure Ukraine. Thank you, Minister!"

22:57 In Kupyansk, Kharkiv region, Mayor Gennady Matsegora on June 3 signed a meeting protocol on the creation of a Russian-controlled "temporary civil administration of the Kharkiv region" and the election of its "leader", the Kharkiv regional prosecutor's office reports. Vitaly Ganchev, former deputy head of the Dergachevsky district police department, headed the "VGA" of the region.

According to the prosecutor's office, the meeting was attended by six more people who actively supported the creation of an illegal body and signed the protocol. Among them, in particular, are Izyum ex-policeman Vladislav Sokolov and a resident of Cossack Lopan Maxim Gubin. On the fact of treason, the prosecutor's office opened criminal proceedings.

22:19 Zelensky spoke about Severodonetsk in an evening video message: "Based on the results of these days, already the 105th day of a full-scale war, Severodonetsk remains the epicenter of confrontation in the Donbass. We are defending our positions and inflicting significant losses on the enemy. This is a very cruel battle, very difficult. Perhaps one of the most difficult of this war. I am grateful to each and every one who defends in this direction. In many ways, the fate of Donbass is now being decided there."

22:02 The SBU reported that it had detained more than 160 enemy DRGs, a thousand attackers are suspected of crimes against state security. During the last special operation, Russian agents were neutralized, which were preparing terrorist attacks in southern Ukraine. An enemy agent who was reconnoitring the deployment of artillery and special forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the southern front was also detained.

21:23 The European Parliament adopted a resolution calling for granting Ukraine the status of a candidate for EU membership , as well as sending weapons to Kiev as soon as possible. According to Deutsche Welle, 438 deputies voted in favor, 65 voted against and 94 abstained. The European Parliament recommended that the EU Council grant Ukraine the status of an EU candidate "as a clear political signal of solidarity with the people of Ukraine."

21:05 Germany has not sent any weapons to Ukraine over the past few weeks, writes Spiegel. Despite Scholz's statements, according to the publication, the supply of German weapons to Ukraine is still not going on. In fact, over the past few weeks, mostly spare parts have been added to the list.

In this regard, the federal government decided to stop the closed publication of the list of deliveries. Only a few members of the European Parliament had access to it, but now they will be deprived of any information on this topic. The German government justifies this with security considerations, since Russia can attack the transport if the deliveries are announced publicly.

21:03 Russian official Vitaly Khotsenko, who until today was the director of the department of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, has been appointed acting "chairman of the government of the DNR".

As the adviser to the mayor of Mariupol Petr Andryushchenko noted, this is the first direct appointment from Russia to the authorities of another state. At the same time, the rotation of the "government" of the occupiers took place simultaneously with the visit of the first deputy of the presidential administration of Russia, Sergei Kiriyenko, who delivered the order and monitored its execution. And then there was a visit by Pushilin and Kiriyenko to Marupol.

"From the important point - neither escort nor participation of local collaborators or curators from Russia Sablin and Co. Moreover, the center of the security perimeter with the concentration of policemen and the MGB / FSB will be set up in Novoazovsk, where the corps of Kadyrovites who control Mariupol and the region settled. What is it about says? Firstly, all collaborators go to waste, and power is transferred directly to the Russians. Secondly, the scenario of controlling Mariupol through marginalization and banditry comes into play. And most importantly. No referendums. No crap. Direct integration into Russia is gaining momentum" , Andryushchenko wrote.

20:53 Putin will not hold the annual "direct line" in June, Peskov said. According to him, the date of its holding is unknown, but preparations for the event are underway. At the same time, he did not specify the reasons for the transfer of the "direct line", which the President of the Russian Federation has been holding annually since 2017. The only exception was in 2020 due to covid.

20:49 U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink said following a meeting with the heads of the Ministry of Finance and the National Bank of Ukraine that $ 1 billion in assistance to Ukrainians from the States is already in the country, and another $ 7.5 billion is expected.

20:47 Biden plans to visit Europe at the end of June to participate in the summits of the G7 and NATO leaders. The war in Ukraine will be high on the agenda of both meetings, the White House said.

20:43 Zelensky spoke at the Yale CEO Summit: "This is our common war. Companies that are on the market of the Russian Federation must leave, and leave completely. The main thing for us is that they will not finance weapons with which the Russians are killing us with their taxes ".

The President also said that together with the American businessman Howard Buffett, he discussed assistance that would be valuable to Ukraine: "He proposed to join projects to restore irrigation systems in the Odessa region, support our people, demining and reforming school meals."

20:39 The head of the Lugansk OVA Serhiy Gaidai said that fighting continues in Severodonetsk, and Lisichansk is completely under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The situation in Severodonetsk, according to him, is difficult, but it is controlled by Ukrainian troops. Part of the territory of the Mountain community is occupied by the Russian Federation, the rest is controlled by Ukraine. The Russians shoot with large calibers, so the destruction is huge.

20:37 Foreign citizens who serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine are subject to the legal status of combatants, the General Staff reports. If they fall into the hands of the enemy, they are considered prisoners of war, which means they are protected by the Geneva Convention.

20:35 People's Deputy Alexei Kovalev, who went to the occupied Kherson region and was expelled from the Servant of the People , admitted that he was collaborating with the Russian invaders and supported the annexation of the region by Russia. At the initiative of the State Bureau of Investigation , criminal proceedings were initiated against him .

20:27 Citizens of Britain Sean Pinner and Aiden Aslin, as well as a citizen of Morocco Saadoun Brahim partially admitted their guilt in the "DPR court". Also, Ukraine is doing everything to increase the possibility of exporting electricity. Another top task for the Ministry of Energy is the repair of thermal power plants, thermal power plants and boiler houses.

Zelensky stressed that gas and electricity tariffs will not change in the next heating season: "This will be ensured. Local authorities are responsible for tariffs for heat and hot water, and the same tariffs must be maintained at the local level in the winter of 2022-2023 ".

00:28 Zelensky, in an evening video message, said that the launch of a special Book of Executioners , an information system that collects confirmed data on war criminals and criminals from the Russian army, is scheduled for next week. " The book of executioners is one of the foundations of not only the responsibility of the direct perpetrators of war crimes - the soldiers of the occupying army, but also their commanders. Those who gave orders. Those who made everything possible that they did in Ukraine. In Bucha, Mariupol, in all our cities, in all the communities that have been reached," the president said.

Mercenaries from Britain and Morocco partially plead guilty in Donetsk court
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[RIA Novosti] British citizens Sean Pinner and Aiden Aslin, as well as Moroccan citizen Saadoun Brahim, who fought on the side of Ukraine, partially admitted their guilt, follows from a video from the meeting published by the DPR Supreme Court.

The detainees admitted to violating Article 232 of the Criminal Code of the DPR "Training in order to carry out terrorist activities."

Crimes under this article are punishable by imprisonment for a term of 15 to 20 years with restriction of freedom for a term of one to two years or life imprisonment.

The investigation claims that the British and the Moroccan took part in the armed aggression of Ukraine to forcibly seize power in the DPR for a fee.
In addition, Pinner and Brahim also pleaded guilty to actions aimed at seizing power by force, a crime provided for by Article 323 of the Criminal Code of the DPR. It is punishable by imprisonment for a term of 12 to 20 years with restriction of freedom for a term of up to two years, and in the presence of aggravating circumstances or in wartime - by the death penalty with confiscation of property.

At the same time, both of them did not plead guilty under part 3 of Article 430 - "Participation of a mercenary in an armed conflict or hostilities."

The British Sean Pinner, Aiden Aslin and the Moroccan Saadoun Brahim surrendered in Mariupol in mid-April. The official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry , Major General Igor Konashenkov , stressed that "the mercenaries who arrived in Ukraine are not combatants, the best thing that awaits them is a long term in prison."

The day before, British Deputy Prime Minister Dominic Raab said that the British government intends to file a protest in connection with the criminal case against Aslin.

The Washington Post reported that Fluke-Ekren
...that’s Allison Fluke-Ekren, mother of five, wife of three jihadis — sequentially, they kept getting killed, first the sniper, then the Bangladeshi drone expert, then the failed defender of Raqqa—teacher, home schooler, fluent in Arabic, Turkish, and Spanish. Two of the kids escaped her clutches, getting themselves to safety with her first husband — who was unromantically uninterested in jihad — in America...

The New York Times also confirmed several details about her involvement in the attacks on the US Consulate in Benghazi in 2012.
Her first jihadi husband, Volkan Ekren, was Ansar al Sharia there, the local Al Qaeda connection.
She was among those who trained a number of attackers on the use of machine guns, and explosive devices. A verdict against her is expected on 25 October this year.

#1  Thank you for sourcing this.

The NY Times reveals today that even our intelligence agencies are being kept in the dark about wgarsxactually going on with the Ukrainian military.

U.S. Lacks a Clear Picture of Ukraine’s War Strategy, Officials Say

It borders on the surreal... the Biden Administration's national security team doesn't even have any clue about actual Ukrainian casualties, weapons lost, or troops' morale. They are flying blind, and getting blindsided by the Russians' success on the battlefield

#3  kept in the dark

Bullshit. They know in great detail what a botchjob the Ukrainian military are. They know that the Ukrainians are losing horrific numbers of men and materiel, that they're running out of trained, competent troops and that the Russians are grinding them into dust.

British, French, German military analysts all expect the Donbas to be under Russian control within a couple of weeks at the latest.

This New York Times piece is a purchased editorial designed to get out front of the blame for Ukraine's defeat. The American intelligence agencies are launching a pre-emptive strike before the collapse: "It wasn't us!"
Posted by: Palmerston || 06/09/2022 11:35 Comments || Top||

#4  Never mind reality. Keep lying to the Americans -- they'll swallow anything and tell their people any fairytale, no matter how detached from reality, so long as the dosh keeps flowing:

Ukraine, the officials said, wants to present an image of strength, both to the public and to its close partners. The government does not want to share information that could suggest a weakening of resolve, or give the impression that they might not win.

In essence, Ukrainian officials do not want to present information that might encourage the United States and its other Western partners to slow the flow of arms.

#5  I would keep our intelligence communities in the dark too. Honestly, I wouldn't call the "intelligent" at all.

#6  They're not in the dark. The German and Austrian military analysts have spoken publicly, at length and in detail, about the actual situation in the Donbas.

Col. Markus Reisner of Austria's prestigious military academy has even posted his detailed tactical briefings, in English as well as in German, on YouTube.

No one is "in the dark." Russia is dominating the Ukrainians and is now completing its capture of the south and east.

#7  Even Zelensky's mouthpiece is edging closer to reality -- still undercounting by at least 200 but nonetheless starting to prepare the American and British publics for the inevitable collapse. From the BBC's World Service:

Ukrainian military casualties are now between 100 and 200 a day, according to Mykhaylo Podolyak, senior adviser to President Volodymyr Zelensky - the highest estimated total to have been made public so far.

Speaking to BBC World Service's Newshour programme, Mykhaylo Podolyak says one of the main reasons for the high casualty numbers is the lack of parity between Ukrainian and Russian military capabilities.

According to Zelensky's senior adviser, Ukraine needs hundreds, not a handful, of the most powerful artillery systems the West can provide.
Posted by: Jean-Paul || 06/09/2022 12:17 Comments || Top||

#8  The true number of Ukrainian losses per day is in the range of 500. The Russian reported data is precise, detailed, verifiable and the Killed In Action numbers are realistic:

- 320 Ukrainians KIA:
11:57 Missile troops and artillery hit 68 command posts, 172 firing positions and 261 areas of concentration of manpower and equipment, more than 320 nationalists were destroyed.

- Another 160 Ukrainians KIA:
11:57 A total of 63 areas of accumulation of manpower and equipment were hit, the command post of the 14th mechanized brigade, more than 160 nationalists, eight tanks, two Grad installations, an artillery battery, an electronic warfare station were destroyed.

- Unknown but likely another 10-20 Ukrainians KIA:
11:57 Missiles hit two Ukrainian command posts, 13 areas of concentration of manpower and equipment, and near Kharkov - a battery of multiple launch rocket systems "Hurricane".
11:57 Russian air defense shot down two Air Force MiG-29 aircraft near Snegirevka in the Nikolaev region and a Mi-8 helicopter near Belaya Krinitsa in the Nikolaev region.

#9  Yes, the real casualty rate is so catastrophically high that the CIA is telling Julian Barnes and Andrew Kramer to create a new Narrative of plausible deniability.

Ukraine's remaining Donbas troops will be wiped out and 1/3 of the entire country will be under Russian control in short order. Poland is moving in from the west.

Close to 90% of Ukraine's productive regions are lost, for good, to Russia. All the natural gas reserves, the minerals, the most fertile land, the shipyards and steel mills...

Within a few months Ukraine will have the same GDP and wealth as a west Saharan basket case. It's no longer a viable state. Will there even be an independent Ukraine a year from now?

No wonder Washington's already started the Blame Game. Afghanistan last year, Ukraine this year... Heckuva job, Brandon!

#10  shipyards

Not all... Nikolaev / Mykolayiv is under Ukrainian control (for now). Once the Donbas Ukrainian troops are destroyed, the Russians will redeploy toward Nikolaev and take that last remaining industrial prize. Then Ukraine will have a GDP of about €20 billion per year

#11  Poor bastard.

Aiden Aslin, the captured soldier of fortune, now says he has been abandoned by both Kyiv and London. "They [the Ukrainian government] could have easily ended the war. They had the opportunity but they chose not to, mainly because I think money was involved,” Aslin said.

Aslin urges other western would-be mercenaries considering shipping off to with Ukraine not to be “duped into a war that is one you should not be fighting.”

His view of the Azov fascists changed when they threatened to slice off his pro-Kurdish tattoos. Aslin says he has more affinity for the pro-Russian Donbas troops than for the neo-Nazis he found himself thrown in with on the Ukrainian side.

#5  Another interview a few days ago with Colonel Markus Reisner of Austria's Theresianischen Militärakademie.

INTERVIEWER: Selenskyj spoke of up to 100 killed Ukrainian soldiers a day.

COL. MARKUS REISNER: In addition, there is at least twice the number of wounded. Selenskyj even spoke of up to 500 wounded. If you extrapolate that, that's 3,000 dead and 6,000 wounded in one month. That's an enormous number.

The medical supply is precarious. In the hospitals of Bakhmut, Sloviansk and Kramatorsk, only amputations are done anymore, there is no more reconstructive surgery. It's all about survival. Most soldiers die at the front or on the way to the hospitals.

You spoke of a chain reaction that could develop on the Ukrainian side.

COL. MARKUS REISNER: The danger is that general panic will break out in the pocket and the soldiers will try to retreat to a favorable line that is easier to hold. If this is done in an orderly manner, that would be a line east of Sloviansk and Kramatorsk. But if panic breaks out, that last line could be much lower, on the Dnipro.

Then practically half of Ukraine would be lost.

COL. MARKUS REISNER: The Russians currently occupy 24 percent of Ukraine - less than they already had, but a lot.

Before February 24, 80 percent of the country's value creation took place in this 24 percent.

The Russians have captured 95 percent of the Kherson district, about 70 percent of the neighboring Zaporizhia district, 60 percent of Donetsk, and 97 percent of Luhansk.

By the way, there are two interesting comparisons from history to the Donbas pocket, both of which have a German connection. One is the heavy fighting around Verdun in the First World War. The German General Erich von Falkenhayn wanted to turn Verdun into a "meat grinder" for the French, he wanted to beat them there in a war of attrition. He would have almost succeeded if the Allies had not come to the French's aid. It could be that the Russian tactic is to use up as many incoming Ukrainian arms and troops as possible in the Donbas pocket.

And the other potential parallel?

COL. MARKUS REISNER: This is the Falaise cauldron, 1944 in France. This battle broke the neck of the German Wehrmacht in France. They waited too long, were surrounded, panic broke out, the Germans had to retreat and were only able to form a continuous front line again on the German-French border. If Ukraine hesitates too long in Donbass and they have no realistic chance of winning this battle, such a chain reaction may set in.

#6  Another interview yesterday with Col. Reisner

Previous interview was from Saturday 04 June 2022 and has the English headline, War in Ukraine: "Four rocket launchers, that's purely symbolic"

At the beginning of the war, the Ukrainian army acted very wisely, says military historian and colonel in the Austrian army, Markus Reisner. "The Russians recognized that and adjusted to it." In the current battle in the Donbas pocket, he sees the chances being unequally distributed.

Similarly, Der Blaue Reiter was an art movement lasting from 1911 to 1914, fundamental to Expressionism, along with Die Brücke [bridge] which was founded in 1905.

#9  Actually, the Russians are now going to take Zaporizhiye and Kherson, and they've set up anti-missile batteries on Zmeony Island, so Odesa might be in play as well.

They completely control the land bridge, the railway's operational and they can resupply all across the south and east with heavy artillery, missiles and weaponry.

They're now on the brink of controlling almost 30 percent of the whole country, and nearly 90% of its productive assets.

This is really astonishing in view of what Putin asked for at Minsk II -- just Crimea and limited authentic bony for just two regions in the East, or about 7% total and no real economic clout.

Now they'll have complete control of the most valuable parts of Ukraine, about four times as much territory as per the status quo ante. This represents a colossal failure by the West.

Egypt Sentences 3 Brotherhood Members to Death, 20 to Life in Prison

An Egyptian court on Tuesday sentenced three of the banned Muslim Brotherhood members to death, 20 others to life in prison and one to nine years in jail in 18 different cases.

According to the indictment, the convicts attempted to assassinate a former criminal court judge in Fayoum and police officers.

In 2014, the Public Prosecution filed terror charges against Muslim Brotherhood leaders who operated the group’s secret apparatus, the Committee of Qualitative Operations, and assigned it to carry out assassinations and hostilities against public figures, army soldiers, employees in the Ministry of Interior and the judiciary who violated its orders.

The court’s presiding judge, Yasser Muharram Darweesh, said the defendants had planned to assassinate a criminal court judge in Fayoum, Tareq Abouzeid, while he was driving, but they mistakenly shot at a different vehicle.

They also killed two policemen in Fayoum and planted roadside bombs across much of the province, opened fire at a local police station and carried out surveillance of police officers they intended to assassinate.

The members of these terrorist cells shared tasks that included execution, surveillance and security when they carried out acts of sabotage and violence.

They also shared the tasks of preparing firearms, explosive devices and firebombs to use them in terrorist attacks.

In this context, the Court of Cassation upheld Tuesday prison sentences ranging between three and 15 years against 52 Brotherhood members after rejecting the appeals filed by their advocates. It also acquitted five others.

The convicts are accused of committing violent crimes, carrying out arson attacks, and vandalism on assaultings policemen and citizens, as well as attempted murder during the sit-ins at al-Adwa area in Minya Governorate after ousting former president Mohamed Morsi in 2013.

The issued verdicts are final and cannot be appealed.

#1  After India, Turkey is emerging as one of the big winners from the West's debacle in Ukraine.

Like India, Erdogan holds an extremely strong hand. He's desperately courted by NATO at the same time that Russia is offering all kinds of economic benefits.

These include new trading opportunities in the wake of western firms' hasty forced exit from Russia to new financial ties including the new Russian credit card that replaced MC and Visa and that's based on the strongest global currency of 2022.

Most important, Turkey is emerging as the central transit hub for Russian (and Azeri and Kazakh) gas shipped to the Mediterranean nations, both south European, Arab and African.

Erdogan shows no sign at all of caving to NATO regarding his insistence that they stop harboring PKK terrorists. He has an extremely strong hand and seems to be intent on playing it successfully.

#4  Turkey has had a shaky economy since the 1990s — crash after crash after crash. Demographically, President Erdogan has been fighting a desperate rear guard action to protect his precious Turks from the fact that they’ve had below-replacement birthrates for years, while the Kurds have been well above replacement despite all that the Turkish army has killed. Erdogan has been warning that within two generations the Kurds will inherit Turkey based on relative birthrates alone, accomplishing in reality what the Palestinians have been pretending to do.

Turkey may prove a short term winner — that outcome still remains to be seen — but whether there will be enough Turks in Turkey to enjoy the fruits of that labour for long is a different question.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Iranian Commander Threatens to Destroy Haifa, Tel Aviv

Iran will raze the cities of Tel Aviv and Haifa should its enemy Israel make any mistake, Commander of the Iranian army ground forces Kiumars Heydari threatened on Tuesday.

“For any mistake made by the enemy, we will raze Tel Aviv and Haifa to the ground by the order of the Supreme Leader,” the semi-official Tasnim news agency quoted the Iranian commander as saying.

Heydari said all units of the army are being equipped with precision-guided, long-range and smart weapons, adding that the range of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) and that the operational missiles of the army have increased.

He underlined that the military and defense achievements of the Iranian army are a thorn in the enemies' eyes.

“All this equipment is to respond to the stupid aggressions of the enemies of the Islamic Revolution,” Heydari noted.

The Army commander reiterated that the usurper Zionist regime has occupied Muslim lands and these lands will return to Islam in less than 25 years.

However, Heydari failed to refer to any of the security developments that shook Iran lately.

Last May 25, an engineer died and another employee was injured after an accident in a research center at the Parchin military site affiliated with Iran's Defense Ministry.

The next day, Iranian authorities confirmed the death of engineer Ehsan Ghad Beigi in an "industrial accident" at the military site.

The New York Times said that according to three Iranians with knowledge of the attack and to a US official, a drone strike targeted the highly sensitive military site outside Tehran where Iran develops missile, nuclear and drone technology.

The attack came four days after a senior member of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Corps, Col. Sayad Khodayee, was assassinated in Tehran outside his home, according to a statement by the Guards.

NYT said Israel told the United States that it was behind his killing, according to one intelligence official.

The Israelis intended it as a warning to Iran to stop targeting Israeli citizens abroad, the official said.

Few days following the Parchin explosion, another commander of IRGC Quds Force died under suspicious circumstances in Karaj. There were conflicting reports concerning the reason for his death, his role at the IRGC and his link to Khodayee.

Later, reports revealed that Ayoob Entezari, a senior Iranian engineer who held a PhD in aerospace engineering and was reported dead under unclear circumstances early this month, had been intentionally poisoned in the city of Yazd.

A letter written by the governor called him a "martyr" and a picture allegedly showed officials paying a condolence visit to his home.

Khodayee’s killing and the Parchin bombing dealt a major blow to Iranian authorities, who tried to reduce Israel’s ability to carry out operations deep inside Iranian territory, especially after hardliner Ibrahim Raisi was elected President.

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
Nebenzya successfully mentioned this about Denisova
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Commentary by Russian military blogger Andrey Chervonets.

[Chernovec] The Ukrainian Ombudsman lied to the whole world about sexual crimes allegedly committed by military personnel of the RF Armed Forces and rape of children in Ukrainian territories, Permanent Representative of Russia Vasily Nebenzia said during a meeting of the UN Security Council.

Behind such statements of Kyiv there was not and there is not even the slightest evidence base.
Denisova took one for the team in saying it was her idea to invent stories of rape by Russian military in Bucha in the early going of the war. I seriously doubt this was discussed with anyone in the Ukrainian government, top to bottom. It was later I found out several members of the Rada found out Denisova could not back up her story, and -- to their credit -- chucked her out the window.
"Better than others, this was recently proved not by anyone, but by the Ukrainian Commissioner for Human Rights, Ms. Denisova herself. She, as they say, went too far and was fired by the Ukrainian regime with an interesting wording: an incomprehensible concentration on numerous details of sexual crimes and rape of children in the occupied territories, which could not be confirmed by evidence. In other words, the Ukrainian ombudsman has been lying to the whole world without evidence all this time, which turned out to be shocking even for the Kiev authorities," the Russian plenipotentiary said.
Yes, we know, but you can't blame the Russians for bringing this up since the stories have yet to be disputed in western press.
Earlier, on May 31, the Verkhovna Rada dismissed human rights commissioner Lyudmila Denisova with a scandal. In fact, the Ukrainian ombudsman was "expelled from the Gestapo for cruelty."

Even the Ukrainian authorities could not stand the fool. The level of lies voiced by Denisova could not stand even the Ukrainian propaganda, which is not embarrassed and does not get tired of riveting fake after fake. All that fierce trash that the Russian Denisova
Denisova is Russian by birth
carried against the Russians and Russia was surprising even among the real ideological Galician Bandera. After all, even the most vigorous Nazis from the most dense caches of the Carpathian forests could not become such a repulsed Russophobe.
As I said elsewhere. Denisova screwed up so badly, she got the Russians and Ukrainians agreed on something.
It was she, a Russian native of Arkhangelsk and a former Crimean woman (which once again proves that Svidomism is not a national trait, but a contagious disease), who has recently been spreading chilling stories about the rape of children by soldiers of the Russian army.

As it turned out, Denisova was lying - there is no evidence of such crimes, and representatives of the nationalist Ukrainian regime themselves were forced to admit this. It remains to be seen what made the official savor the details with scenes of sexual violence.

The prosecutor of the Buchansk district noted that he did not know anything. The Ukrainian police were also unable to indicate the locations of the basements, where, according to Denisova, this could happen. To date, the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine has NOT A SINGLE CONFIRMED CASE of rape by the Russian military in general of anyone or even anything on the entire territory of Ukraine.

All the proofs of Ukraine are the painted panties on the girls, roaming and screaming through the cities of Europe.

Complete stupidity.

#2  The real problem is our incompetent “intelligence services “
As an old neighbor told me few years back, many CIA managers are not well trained at all, they lack exposure to the various real theaters in with are involved. Their knowledge and experience it’s only theoretical. Our media is reporting what is been forceful told by our fascist civil servants, protecting their job security at any cost.
In USA, young people come into intel horribly miseducated from about 6th grade onwards; poisoned in the head at US universities (and military academies).
And then you have to add the politicization of US intel.
The top intel people want to see things that fit their narrative or fantasy.
For example this bunch are so stupid that together with Mossad and NATO, the CIA because their incompetence It’s not even pretending anymore they don’t run and farm Muslim extremists, and then pretend to fights them on the eyes of the taxpayers Religious whack jobs always make fertile ground for creating chaos, and CIA like Fbi are chaos creators, so they can keep their jobs.
This is not anymore about intelligence and security.
Is anybody paying attention since 9/11?

Triple bottom operation
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited

Commentary by Russian blogger Donetsk

[DonRF] Day 105 and whether there is any day of a special military operation to protect Donbass. The execution of Donbass continues. I can say without looking at the reports that the Nazis will kill from 5 to 20 civilians per day. It's daily. And regularly. Moreover, having lost their fear, they fire from fire in the Peski, Tonenkoye, Opytnoye ... in fact, point blank. Today Donetsk, Makiivka, Gorlovka, Yasinovataya are under fire...

Undoubtedly, this is an operation. Operation of the enemy with a triple bottom. The first bottom is obvious - shelling demoralizes the population of Donbass. They are demoralized by the fact that it flies everywhere, and by the fact that on TV regular clowns talk about the fact that everything is according to plan, and in the meantime, explosions outside the window. Clowns scratch, people suffer.

The second bottom is the dispersal of wild rumors about self-attacks. Nothing new, it has been practiced since the age of 14, but it begins to act on some people. Why? And therefore, how to believe that there are not enough forces for counter-battery combat, and the RF Armed Forces cannot reliably cover the city, against the backdrop of all the same TV propaganda about having no analogues, not everyone can. Not everyone reads bloggers either, those who read do not always read critics. We created geovictory ourselves, and now they are attacking it.

Literally with blood.

Plus panic, plus sur outside the window. A saleswoman at a newsstand was wounded today. Tell me, is a kiosk an urgently needed enterprise at this time? Do we have a circus with the illusion of a peaceful life? And how many victims are needed to close unnecessary enterprises and remove utility bills for the duration of the fighting? These are crests in Kharkov, and they did it.

And the third bottom. They shelled the Government House. Decision making center. Easy and casual. Breaking an unspoken agreement. So what? I'm guessing nothing. That is, just do. Everything will go on as usual. The center of Kyiv is inviolable, and Donetsk is not a pity. Actually, this is the essence of the third bottom of the enemy's actions - a demonstration, in the language of the Scythian, of a low potency of leadership.

I wrote about the purely military sense earlier - sooner or later, forces and means will have to be thrown at Avdiivka. They will start killing and destroying more, that's all. To the limit, beyond which either suicide riots, and a million-strong agglomeration was sentenced to death, or the complete discrediting of Russia, which allowed its cities to be killed. And something needs to be done about it. For example, respond to decision-making centers.

How this affects the army, which is in the trenches, and their relatives are killed in a conditional rear - think for yourself. In that war, besieged Leningrad was shot like that. But there is no blockade here. Or is there? So far, only vague statements and the resignation of the government have taken measures. I would like to believe that at least people will be kept at home and their children will be taken out without playing at the end of the school year and other nonsense.

Just a year after concluding that Saudi Arabia’s de facto leader ordered the brutal murder of an American resident and journalist, and after winning the White House with a vow to make Riyadh a “pariah,” Biden is weighing travel to the kingdom next month as well as a meeting with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. It’s a stunning reversal in the president’s treatment of a bilateral relationship that U.S. leaders have long struggled to use to their advantage at home.

Make room for a fourth, boys. Mind the Depends.

#9  More Americans would like to see Biden forced out than Putin

#10  I would pretty much love to see DC burned to the ground with all the government personal in there and the earth salted at this point. The corruption and rot is to widespread.

#12  Swapping out Biden for Putin would be a good trade for us. More oil production, better missiles, an end to BLM extortion & a good stomping on the woke Democrat / alphabet people sickos.

#13  I liked the suggestion in All Quiet on the Western Front that the leaders of countries that want to make war against each other should strip down to their drawers, get into a boxing ring and have at it so the young men could live in peace. It would be a hoot to watch Biden and Putin doing just that.

#16  Wasn't Corn Pop in the KGB?
Biden beat him up right after Biden got admitted to the Naval Academy but joined the CIA Clandestine Service instead

#17  [i]Biden is scum, but he was never in the KGB. [/i]

Well, he's working for a former KGB agent named Vladimir Putin. That's what the whole Burisma thing was about. It's one of many reasons the current and former KGB and their mouthpieces here despise Biden but _won't talk about_ because as Groucho Marx said they need the eggs.
