[TomLuongo] With the Fed raising by 75 bps yesterday I have to believe we’ve reached a major turning point in the War Against Davos. The deflation of asset prices and, most especially the Eurodollar markets is putting many other, over-leveraged central banks on a path towards bankruptcy.
There are a ton of moving parts, a lot of factions now warring against each other. When cartels break, the former members of the cartel always turn on each other. It was always going to be this way. Davos turned on its allies in the US commercial banking sector and they fought back.
Hard.
Everything I wrote about in my last post — SOFR/LIBOR spreads, US/German 10 year Spreads, Lagarde’s incompetence — were proven correct in the response yesterday by the markets to Powell’s hawkishness.
Davos has spent so long and so much money trying to convince us to ‘abandon all hope’ but it is they who now can do nothing but ‘enter here’ into our dragon’s den of asset deflation. The adjustment will be biblical. It will be painful.
And it didn’t have to be this way, but the solipsism and arrogance of evil people who have always known power and feel entitled to wield it in perpetuity is boundless.
Enjoy the rants and the wailing and gnashing of teeth by the very worst people in the world today.
Commentary by Russian military journalist Boris Rozhin
[ColonelCassad] The tug "Vasily Bekh" (previously called SB-739) was lost near Zmeinny Island, carrying the Tor air defense system and ammunition to the island.
The tug was hit by an anti-ship missile, according to some statements, "Harpoon", according to another - "Brimstone".
The exact number of those killed and wounded is still unknown.
[OdessaJournal] Official comment of Operational Command “South”:
In the Black Sea, the enemy fleet lost the tug “Vasily Bekh”, which provided delivery of ammunition, weapons and personnel of the Black Sea Russian fleet to the Snake Island, due to the accurate work of a group of Ukrainian defense forces in southern Ukraine.
"Despite of the anti-aircraft missile system “TOR” on board, the tug was turned into a floating hearth. According to preliminary data, 70 percent of the crew was affected, and the destiny of the rest is unknown."
As reported earlier, enemy ships are trying to conduct a search and rescue operation.
Reference: The tug “Vasily Bekh” built at the Astrakhan shipyard with a tonnage of 1605 tons, was accepted to the Russian Black Sea Fleet in 2017.

Don't know if the translation did this or what, but I love the wording of these two sentences.
[EmeraldDB3] Fulton County Gets Busted Certifying False Election Results!
Ex-Dominion employee Dominic Olomo refuses to show election records to Fulton County election officials.
Today I’ve got exclusive coverage of Fulton County elections — and the obvious fraud being conducted in Georgia using Dominion Voting machines. That’s because I’ve obtained documents from a source who has been in contact with Fulton County election officials, and those documents show that the claims made by Fulton County’s IT Director (and ex-Dominion Voting Systems employee and Nigerian citizen) Dominic Olomo are clearly false.
Let’s recap this story for you: the Fulton County Board of Registration and Elections (BRE) met on May 29th and certified the 2022 Primary Election results — those results were counted, tabulated and provided using Dominion Voting machines.
A week later, on June 5th, Fulton County BRE called an emergency meeting to recertify the election results because their IT Director, Dominic Olomo, claimed that the May 29th results had not been properly counted! So it’s beyond dispute: the May 29th election which used Dominion machines was a failure.
Why had the May 29th results not been properly counted — according to Fulton County IT Director Dominic Olomo? He claimed that poll workers had not properly pulled vote results from the machines.
At the June 5th “emergency recertification” meeting, Fulton County election officials asked for the updated election results, and received none from their own IT director — but they “certified” the election anyway!
This crucial exchange was caught on video.
Some members of the Fulton County BRE subsequently consulted with election integrity experts and were told that they needed to specifically request the “batches loaded” reports and the cast-vote record and the poll pad check-in lists from the machines in order to duly certify the election.
The next day, a complaint was filed with the State Election Board about the missing election results at this June 5th meeting.
On June 9th, the Fulton County BRE held its regularly scheduled meeting — but Dominic Olomo did not have any of the election results that he told Fulton County officials that he would provide! Some members of the Fulton County BRE demanded that Dominic Olomo release those specific election records from the machines to them.
The next day, on June 10th, Dominic Olomo sent an email to members of the Fulton County BRE with his explanation of the revised vote results. He also included the flashcard details — including the 6 precincts from which they came, and the number of votes on each — but these were not the complete election records that members of the Fulton County BRE had demanded.
Using this very limited information, my source has shown that Dominic Olomo’s explanation for “re-certifying” Fulton County’s elections is false. Here’s the explanation from my source.

BUT, would Chicago (America?) rather have Daley and the mob back or continue with this bizarre being named Lightfoot? Same with Philly. Or Baltimore (Pelosi's daddy)....
[France24] Shortly after Russia launched its invasion of Ukraine on February 24, reports of so-called 'filtration' camps in the country’s east began to emerge. Since then, thousands of Ukrainian civilians have passed through the centres, where Russian forces hunt for Ukrainian "nationalists". This means that many of those being processed are subject to interrogations, strip-searches or worse.
In early April, Vitaly and his wife and one-year-old daughter were offered a safe passage out of Mariupol. The Russians were going to evacuate them and other civilians by bus to Nikolske, a small industrial town controlled by pro-Russian forces around 20 kilometres northwest of the besieged city.
Once they arrived, the men were separated from the women, and sent toward a trailer where they were told they would be searched. Or "filtered", as the troops guarding them put it.
"We took turns going into the trailer, where two soldiers checked everything: phones, tattoos, personal belongings," he told the independent Russian-language news website Meduza in a May 12 interview. When Vitaly entered the trailer, he saw two men stripped to their underwear — one of them with his hands behind his head facing the wall, and the other sitting in a corner on the floor.
"As I understood it, they recognised [them as] participants of some anti-Russian rallies."
Vitaly, who was also strip-searched, was luckier, but only after successfully managing to explain why he had an American eagle tattooed on his body, and why his mobile phone was so clean of any messenger apps. "I had to prove I had nothing to do with the [Ukrainian military]," he said. "In the end they let me go."

Putin has said repeatedly that one of the 5 primary objectives is the “denatzification” of the Ukraine. That word doesn’t translate well into English. At a minimum it means that Russia doesn’t want to import the current “decadent” western memes and themes into Russian society (LGBQXYZ, privileged ethnic groups, printing money based on vapor, etc). Russia isn’t the USSR. Americans don’t seem to grasp that. All that aside, I was taught to efficiently process civilians as they pass through to rear areas to minimize the chance of allowing infiltrators to slip by. Simply prudent

Lest we forget, the real victims in this war are the Ukrainian Transgenders, who were having rights issues even before the invasion.
The Ghost of Kyeeev heard the call, and became the world's first Transgender Fighter Ace. Eighty men tried, and eighty men died, and now they are buried together on the countryside.

The confusion about "denazification" arises, as so often happens, from a bad translation compounded by political and historical ignorance. English speakers do not grasp that that the term is not strictly referring to "Nazis" but more generally describes Ukrainian nationalists.
In Russian as in German (and Italian as well), the 't' in the word "national" is pronounced "ts" -- like the 'z' in Mozart. In French and English it's softened to 's' and 'sh' so that there is a sharp distinction between na-shin/na-si-on and the very specific na-tsee.
But in Russian as in German there is no difference, linguistically or phonetically, between na-ts-i and na-ts-ional. When Russians refer to the Nazis, they use the term fashisti.
Politically, Putin is referring to the extreme nationalists in Ukraine -- politicians as well as paramilitary thugs and outright terrorists, but all of the violently anti-Russian forces who were responsible for stripping Russian speakers in Ukraine of basic rights, be they political (as in Crimea) or physical safety (as in Donbas) or economic and cultural-linguistic (everywhere).
"De-nationalization" means curbing the ability of Russian-haters inside and outside of Ukraine's government to suppress, steal from, harass or beat and terrorize Russian-speakers.
#12
To be absolutely clear, a Russian speaker who intends to describe Nazis or what we are erroneously calling "denazification" would use the word "fascist."
There is no question in the minds of any fluent Russian audience that Putin is speaking about removing the cancer of violently chauvinist, brutally anti-Russian Ukrainian nationalism. This cancer was more than any other factor responsible for the 8-year reign of terror against Russian speakers in Ukraine from March 2014-February 2022.

#11 ..so just like 'white supremacist' the Left is always screaming about in America.
Ok... I get that mindless sarcasm is like a reflex for some but it would help you to know that, for the better part of two decades, at least since the time of the pseudo-democrat and professional bandit Yulia Tymoshenko, Russian speakers in Ukraine have seen their basic rights and dignity under assault by chauvinistic Ukrainian politicians and thugs.
A better US analogy would be if in California an "Aztlan" ethno-nationalist political party along with street thugs were to gain power in Sacramento and
- force all classroom instruction in the state to be conducted entirely in Spanish and banned English from all official communications
- replace the English names of every town and street with Spanish names and dub Hollywood movies in Spanish
- redirect state funding from wealthy Anglo regions into the impoverished majority-Hispanic counties
- take over local regulatory, police and zoning rights from Anglo communities
- give funds to and direct their paramilitary "Aztlan" street thug battalions to beat, rape, torture and kill Anglos in coastal cities where Anglos are dominant
- declare that San Diego and Orange County belong to Mexico
- invite Chinese PLA advisers in to train and arm the Aztlan battalions
Nice, huh?

Don't get it? Hey, they ripping down, renaming, and reclassifying anything and everything here in the name of diversity already. They're indoctrinating school children in using approved 'pronouns'. They actively and openly discriminate against the majority of people all in the name of 'justice' and operate a multi-tiered legal system based upon approved groups. If you don't play along you are a white supremacist. Ain't nothing new here.

[ZDNet] On Thursday, eBay announced the launch of its new live, interactive shopping platform called eBay Live. Much like the traditional cable TV experience of the "Home Shopping Network," viewers will be able to watch hosts showcase different items that viewers can instantly purchase. The platform also lets users chat with the hosts and interact with them via reaction buttons.
The platform launches in beta on June 22 with a curated selection of rare trading cards from top eBay seller Bleecker Trading. The series will be hosted by trading card enthusiast DJ Skee.
"eBay has always been the original home for trading cards and collectibles," Dawn Block, eBay VP, said in a statement. "As the collector community grows, we're offering a new live platform that combines an engaging environment with incredible ease, allowing our community to come together over shared interests and merchandise."
A number of other companies have already rolled out their own livestreamed shopping platforms online. The Chinese tech giant Alibaba was a pioneer in the space, debuting its Taobao Live platform in 2016. Live commerce quickly became a staple of the Chinese e-commerce experience. In 2020, Taobao Live reportedly generated a whopping $7.5 billion in total transaction value in the first 30 minutes of Alibaba's Singles' Day -- a sales event akin to Amazon Prime Day.
In 2019, Amazon launched its own livestreamed shopping experience called Amazon Live, while QVC rolled out a new app with shoppable videos. Facebook first tried out Live Shopping in 2018 and began testing "Live Shopping for creators" last year. Twitter launched a livestreamed shopping platform in 2021 as well. Then earlier this year, YouTube announced plans to roll out shoppable videos as well as a Live Shopping experience.
[Washington Examiner] Some Republicans in Congress are going to war against their own party, coming out in full force against a renewed effort to make women register for the military draft.
A coalition of 11 Republican senators led by Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) lambasted a proposed amendment to the 2023 National Defense Authorization Act by Senate Democrats that would require women to register with the Selective Service System, putting them at odds with even some members of their own party who voted in favor of the amendment.
The coalition urged Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman Jack Reed (D-RI) "in the strongest possible terms not to use this year’s NDAA to try to force America’s women to register for the military draft" in a letter on Wednesday. Revisiting a failed effort to add a similar provision to the 2022 NDAA would be "a grave mistake" and would "needlessly inject divisive social policies into important debates over our national security," the senators argued.
The Senate Armed Services Committee voted in favor of adding the provision with the support of seven committee Republicans hours after Hawley’s letter was released, leaving the Right fuming. Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX), an outspoken opponent of expanding the draft to women, excoriated Republicans who voted in favor of the proposal.

You can't continue the lie that we are equal but exempt an entire group from the responsibilities that go along with citizenship.
If you look at the very first Militia Act of 1792, those who were defined as the militia were also the ones who had the franchise of the vote. When the militia act of 1862 was modified to include males of African descent it was followed by the 15th Amendment extending the franchise to that group as well. In short, the vote and the obligation of duty were one and the same. That link was broken by the 19th Amendment in 1920 that expanded the vote without obligation to one large group. For men, its never been "my body, my choice".

Essentially, the argument is" we are all equal EXCEPT when its better for me to not be".
[Washington Examiner] The United States may cease to be a constitutional democracy if the country becomes more polarized, warned former President Bill Clinton on Wednesday.
In a guest appearance on the Late Late Show with James Corden, Clinton said he was not always optimistic about the future of the nation but said citizens should not respond to hatred with more hatred.
"I actually think there is a fair chance we could completely lose our constitutional democracy for a couple of decades if we make bad decisions," Clinton said on CBS. "I am not naive about this. I have been in a lot of fights. I have lost some and won a bunch. I have been elated and heartbroken. But I have never before been as worried about the structure of our democratic form of government. So far, every time we were faced with our own undoing, our conscience kicked in and we stepped away from the brink. And that is kind of what I think will happen here, but I don’t know when or how."

[Peak Prosperity] We were foolish enough to believe we could water the entire southwestern U.S. with the Colorado River. Nothing could go wrong. Now it has, and tens of millions of people are staring down the barrel of real trouble.
As much as 75% of the water from Lake Mead (fed by the Colorado River) goes to agriculture...so now we have a potential food production problem. Major cities like Las Vegas depend on that water for its citizens...now we have a potential personal survival problem for local residents.
More than 40 million people in seven states need to decide how they go on living if the rains do not return. Is anyone worried? Is there an emergency management team in place? Doesn’t seem that way if you review the local news there.
Are they prepared? No. Maybe 3% of the population has anything in place for survival. What do they do? Where do they go?
Is Kansas ready for an influx of evacuees from California? Can the East Coast handle another few million people?

Those of us old enough remember the Great California Drought emergency orders issued between 1988 and 1990.
The incoming water was diverted to from the food growing Valley, to many LA and its many swimming pools.
California in the last 100 years has experienced many droughts: 1924, 1928–1935, 1947–1950, 1959–1960, 1976–1977, 1986–1992, 2006–2010, 2011–2017, 2018 and 2020-2021. So it's not like California only occasionally has a Drought.
Hell, just 40+/- days ago (May 12, 2022) despite being in a declared drought already. The California Coastal Commission rejected a proposal to build a $1.4 billion seawater desalination plant to turn ocean water into drinking water.

The southwest was a lot wetter 750 years ago, then got hit with a huge drought some 500 years ago that lasted 75-100 years. Completely destroyed the Anasazi civilization as they couldn't grow enough food. It has happened in the past and will happen in the future if it isn't happening right now.

Something, something, garden hoses with gasoline.
We don't have the water either, unless you can convince the Denver area to give up green lawns and golf. I'd suggest the Panuco Basin, or Seattle/Vancouver area...I understand they have something called a CHAD district, very youthful, very urbane. Ashland Oregon is supposed to be very progressive, I'm sure they would welcome all the Joad family with open arms. Otherwise, keep'em moving until at least Kansas City.

[GO Banking Rates] In a June 13 Fox Nation debate, Sen. Lindsey Graham said seniors may have to “take a little less” and “pay a little more in” when debating Social Security solvency, reports Knewz via MSN. Graham made the comments while debating Sen. Bernie Sanders during a “Senate Project” debate.
“Let’s do something like Ted Kennedy would do: get Republicans and Democrats to find a way — like the Gang of Six, the Simpson-Bowles plan. Senator Sanders: bring your Social Security plan to the floor. All it does is raise taxes. To get out of this mess, people like me are going to have to take a little less and pay a little more in. We’re going to have to adjust the age one more time like Ronald Reagan and Tip — Tip O’Neil did. There is a bipartisan way forward. You describe problems, but your answer is always the government — it’s always socialism,” Graham said.
The estimated average Social Security retirement benefit in 2022 is $1,658 a month, announced the Social Security Administration. While this is a $93 increase from the year before, benefits only cover a portion of seniors’ living expenses. For his part, Sanders admitted that Social Security “does have a solvency issue,” but that his proposal — also backed by Sen. Elizabeth Warren — would extend solvency for 75 years while increasing benefits for recipients by $2,400 per year. Sanders’ proposal would ostensibly fund this expansion of Social Security via a tax on high-earning households, per CNBC.

It's all BS. Social Security was justified before SCOTUS as a tax. The 'tax' accounting was finally merged in the 1960s under Johnson and the Democrats. 'It' is a game of three card monte as much as all the governments bookkeeping. As long as they have a printing press, it won't run out of money. Whether that 'money' is worth anything is another matter.

With inflation pointing to a potential Social Security COLA increase of over 6 percent, nice time to redraw eligibility criteria.
'Needs based' is the key. 'The rich' (anyone making over $50,000 per year) will not be eligible for full benefits. See income offset at table 4b.

FWIW just started drawing social security at 64. Amazed the system was still solvent. Due military damage full medical coverage from the VA. At 65 I must sign up for Medicare A (free) and B (premium required). If I declined part B (due existing full coverage from the VA) then I forfeit my social security benefits. What a racket!

So how about LESS DC spending instead?
Of course that's the obvious answer but don't count on Lindsey Graham to admit it. He'd rather keep sending billions, trillions, to places like Afghanistan and Ukraine.
Ultimately, Social Security should be phased out and replaced with something like a 401k with as little government involvement as possible. Oh, and this 401k should be strictly voluntary. You can contribute as much or as little as you want or you can opt out of it altogether. You are responsible for yourself. The folks who administer a 401k have a fiduciary responsibility to you, unlike Big Brother who is never responsible for anything.
Social Security is socialism. It is Big Brother at his very worst. He doesn't trust you with your own money and, besides, he wants it for his own nefarious purposes. So he takes your money with a flimsy promise to repay you when you get old, which is whatever his definition of old is. And if you croak one day after you reach that age, well, too bad. Your wife may keep receiving partial payments until she croaks but you cannot pass that money to your children. People who talk about how great Franklin Roosevelt was make me sick because, forget about Biden or any of the others, Roosevelt was the worst president ever.

Doubt I will get any S.S. benefits in 2 years when I was planning to sign up.
[Sunny's Journal] Russian Ministry of Defense releases new official briefing, slides and documentation pertaining to US biological malfeasance! Direct accusations of violation of the Nuremberg Code and more direct evidence against Hunter Biden!
I will break this up into 8 posts here on Telegram it will all be in one thread on my Substack for easy sharing. Let’s get into it.
1) Experiments on mentally ill people:
Here Russia shows a series of facilities they are accusing of unethical medical experimentation and in violation of the Nuremberg Code.
They show a black site experimental lab in Kharkov, 4 million dollar facility built with funds from the Pentagon, disguised as a pharmaceutical facility. In addition to the surrounded labs and psychiatric wards where they were using to supply subjects for the experiments.
These allegations are not to be taken lightly. The punishment for the accused crime is death.
Be advised: Unsubstantiated, single-source reporting.
[Western Journal] Six months after first proposing the idea — and drawing national attacks from Democrats and the mainstream media — Florida Gov. Ronald DeSantis on Wednesday officially announced the re-establishment of the Florida State Guard.
"The U.S. military has been kicking out great service members over the Biden administration’s unacceptable COVID vaccine mandate, and they are even targeting members of the National Guard," DeSantis said, according to a news release from his office.
The governor said restoring the State Guard, which had been dormant since its 1947 disbandment, would broaden the state’s capacity to assist residents during times of crisis.
#2
When the national government federalizes the National Guard and deploys it, those states without a back up face natural and man made disasters without the usual tools available to assist in dealing with them. Many states have them.
#3
Family of four including grandparents acquired covid on vacation trip to Disney in Florida. Vaccinated and boosters. So supposedly they will not get as sick as those being un vaccinated. I post this today as I just got informed.
#4
Somebody will claim that the Florida Guard is unconstitutional. Dummies will echo the stupidity until anyone that actually quotes the Constitution will be banned from Twitter, YouTube and Facebook. That is where we arrived.

A critical component in the value of a State Guard, State Active Duty in California for example, is the ability to field a military force for law enforcement as needed. In either a State Active Duty status as defined by State Law, or a Title 32 federal status (where the cost is funded with federal money but the command authority rests with the Adjutant General/Governor of the state, the troops are NOT constrained by Posse Commitatus which severely limits the use of military forces for law enforcement purposes.

I didn't see any evidence of devastation in the Park. Most of the rain was north of the park, and all that drained into (quite large) Yellowstone Lake.
I'll wait for more Mail photos of "Changed Beyond Recognition".

People who build by rivers are like the people who build on the shoreline in the Gulf and coast, or that matter, in the middle of a forest. Make sure your insurance is up to date and pay it.

^ No lie. When I was a reporter, I talked to many people who described previous generations of their fambly being flooded out of the old home place and finishing with "well, I guess we'll rebuild again..." And insurance was not in the mix. Neither was common sense.

08:55 British intelligence reports that all the main bridges across the Seversky Donets River, connecting Severodonetsk with the territory controlled by Ukraine, have been destroyed. In doing so, Ukraine likely managed to withdraw most of its forces that initially held the city. And with the bridges destroyed, Russia will most likely have to either cross the river or advance on stalled flanks to turn a tactical advantage into an operational advantage.
Analysts note that Russian forces in the Donbas are likely to operate as part of increasingly fragmented and severely understaffed groups. For both sides, fighting on the front lines is likely to be more and more about confronting small groups of troops, who usually operate on foot. Some of Russia's strengths, such as its tank advantage, are becoming less relevant. This probably contributes to the slow pace of its progress, experts say.
08:42 In the Luhansk region, the enemy is pressing in Severodonetsk and Toshkovka, destroying the villages of the Gorsky and Popasnyansky communities. Yesterday, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled another assault on Toshkovka, said the head of the UVA, Sergei Gaidai.
08:36 In the Sumy region, as a result of an enemy missile airstrike on the Sadovskaya community, four people were killed, six more were injured, said the head of the OVA Dmitry Zhivitsky. Another rocket attack occurred in the Krasnopolskaya community, information about the victims is being specified.
08:33 Children born in the Kherson region after February 24, as well as orphans will automatically receive Russian citizenship, said the "deputy head" of the region Kirill Stremousov.
08:07 Macron, Draghi and Scholz arrived in Ukraine , German and Italian media report and publish photos. The information was confirmed by the head of Ukrzaliznytsia Alexander Kamyshin, who published the same photo and wrote: "For me today it was the third night on the train in a row. But not only I spent tonight on the train."
07:36 The government of the Czech Republic approved the allocation of another batch of military aid to Ukraine in the amount of more than 8 million crowns (about 320 thousand euros). Prague will transfer ammunition and chemical protection equipment to Kyiv. In the future, the Czech authorities intend to continue providing military assistance to Ukraine.
07:29 Russian troops are looking for weaknesses in the defense in the Slavic direction and are shelling civilian objects. On the Yegorovka-Shevchenko direction, the Ukrainian military discovered and destroyed an enemy sabotage and reconnaissance group. The enemy is concentrating the main efforts on the Bakhmut direction and continues to storm Severodonetsk, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports in the morning report .
04:11 The American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) suggests that pro-Ukrainian actions are likely to "continue to frustrate Russia's efforts to consolidate full-scale administrative control over the occupied territories and plans for annexation."
Experts also note that Russian troops launched a ground assault on Severodonetsk and nearby settlements, but as of June 15 they do not have full control over the city. The invaders are conducting mostly unsuccessful offensive operations around the T1302 Bakhmut-Lysichansk highway, trying to cut Ukrainian land lines to Lysichansk. They also continued to advance along the E40 highway to Slavyansk and southeast of Izyum. Fighting continues in settlements around Kharkov.
Russian troops continued to reinforce reserve positions in the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, while taking defensive measures to increase their presence in the Black Sea. Satellite imagery from June 14 shows an increase in fortifications and military equipment on Zmeiny Island.
03:23 The UN recorded 4452 deaths and 5530 injuries of the civilian population of Ukraine as a result of the Russian invasion. Most of the deaths and injuries are caused by the use of large-area munitions and explosives, including heavy artillery and multiple launch rocket attacks, as well as rocket and air strikes.
03:01 Russians are transporting wheat, seeds and even cherries from Melitopol in wagons. The trains with the loot go to the Crimea, said the mayor of the city Ivan Fedorov.
02:27 The G7 and NATO summits later this month will provide an opportunity to demonstrate the unity of the West and its determination to support Ukraine in the long term, Johnson said following a telephone conversation with Zelensky.
00:58 White House spokesman John Kirby commented on reports of the capture of two former US servicemen near Kharkov: "I think now is a good time to remind that we oppose Americans traveling to Ukraine and participating in hostilities in Ukraine." At the same time, he added that there are other ways to support Kyiv.
Kirby could not confirm the accuracy of the information about the capture of American prisoners, since he himself had just learned about it. "We will do our best to follow up on this," he assured.
00:41 Relations between Russia and the United States are "at zero point", there is no dialogue as such between the countries, Peskov said.
00:34 The Russians are abandoning their intention to annex the occupied Ukrainian territories through imitation of "referenda", said NSDC Secretary Alexei Danilov on the air of the telethon. According to him, they are replacing the separatists in power in the occupied territories with Russian officials, therefore, they may not "hide behind fig leaves of polls", but will immediately appoint the leadership of the Russian Federation.
00:28 Every day up to 1000 Ukrainian soldiers are killed or injured in Donbas. Of these, an average of 200 to 500 were killed, said Arakhamia , who is now in Washington, writes Axios. Earlier, Zelensky said that between 60 and 100 Ukrainian soldiers die every day. According to Arakhamia, this number has increased significantly over the past two weeks.
At the same time, Arakhamia says that Ukraine has drafted a million people into the army and has the opportunity to recruit another two million, so it has enough strength to continue the fight. However, Ukraine lacks weapons and ammunition: "Our negotiating position is actually quite weak, we do not want to sit at the negotiating table if we are in such a position. We need to somehow reverse the events."
Somebody needed a lasso. [NYPOST] An unsettled man climbed onto the tracks at the Washington Square Park subway stop — delaying trains for about an hour as emergency responders convinced him to climb back up, according to cops and witnesses.
The 42-year-old jumped down just after 2:30 p.m. and was walking between the north and southbound A/C lines at the West Fourth Street—Washington Square station, authorities said.
EMS workers and people on the platform yelled to try to coax the man to come back up onto the platform — with some straphangers even throwing down money to persuade him to climb to safety.
The unnamed man, wearing a floral v-neck shirt, can be seen in a video talking to dozens of people on the platform as he paced between the tracks but what he said was inaudible.
He eventually decided to come back onto the platform around 3:30 p.m.

A Liberal Democrat city, with 8+ million, is bound to have collected some serious mental cases that need constant babysitting and even then still present safety issues to others.
BTW: Given the upcoming Abortion ruling and the 2023 election results in a few months. I hope NY has a lot of free beds and Thorazine in their mental wards for those that can't handle the return to the real world.
[NYPOST] A deep-blue House district in South Texas turned bright red following a special election Tuesday — suggesting November’s midterms could be even more successful for Republicans than previously thought.
Mexico-born GOPer Mayra Flores stormed to victory with 51% of the vote in the four-person race to succeed outgoing Democratic Rep. Filemon Vela. Democrat Dan Sanchez, Vela’s pick to follow him in Congress, came in second with just 43.3% of the vote.
The outcome in a district where 85% of the residents are Latino — and which Barack Obama teachable moment... and Crooked Hillary Clinton ...former first lady, former secretary of state, former presidential candidate, Conqueror of Benghazi, Heroine of Tuzla, formerly described by her supporters as the smartest woman in the world, usually described by the rest of us as The Thing That Wouldn't Go Away. Politix is not one of her talents, but it's something she keeps trying to do... won by more than 20 percentage points in the 2012 and 2016 presidential elections, respectively — sent shockwaves through the political landscape.
"This is sort of how I felt seeing some of the shifts in Appalachia in 2010, or blue collar areas in 2016," RealClearPolitics senior elections analyst Sean Trende tweeted as the results rolled in Tuesday night. "Except this I genuinely didn’t think I’d see for another 20 years or so. Just astonishing."
Signs of a rightward shift in the district appeared in the 2020 election, when President Joe Biden ...... 46th president of the U.S. We get to suffer the consequences. So does Afghanistan, aka Biden's Bungle...... only defeated Donald Trump ...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and whatever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States... by four percentage points, and Flores paid tribute to the 45th president in her victory speech.
"We cannot accept the increase [in the price] of gas, of food, of medication, we cannot accept that. And we have to state the facts, that under President Trump, we did not have this mess in this country," she told a cheering crowd.
Flores, who is married to a Border Patrol agent, ran heavily on border security and was strongly backed by the Republican National Committee — spending more than $1 million on TV ads introducing herself to voters, according to the Texas Tribune. As a result, she became the first Republican to represent any part of the Rio Grande Valley since 1870.
"Congratulations to Mayra Flores, the next Congresswoman for TX-34! Mayra is leading the charge for Republicans who are working to flip South Texas red," RNC chair Ronna McDaniel said in a statement. "She is a fierce conservative who will make the RGV proud, and we will continue working to reelect her in November."
Flores also earned the support of her most famous new constituent, Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who owns a home in in Boca Chica — part of the district that snakes up the Gulf coast between Brownsville and Corpus Christi before turning inward into rural South Texas.
"I woke up this morning still feeling surreal from everything that’s happened over the last 24 hours," Flores tweeted Wednesday. "Earning Elon Musk’s vote was just the icing on the cake and I can’t wait to work with his team! The American Dream is worth fighting for."
Flores won’t have long to serve in Congress. As she finishes the remainder of Vela’s term, she will have to run to keep her seat against Rep. Vicente Gonzalez. The redrawn 34th District will be more friendly to Democrats, who cited the low-turnout nature of Tuesday’s special election and the money behind Flores to downplay her victory.
"Based on the results, we came up short tonight despite being outspent by millions of dollars from out of state interests and the entire Republican machine," Sanchez said in his concession statement. "Too many factors were against us, including little to no support from the National Democratic Party and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee."

[NYPOST] Florida churchgoers helped save two maiden of tender yearss from being kidnapped after one of the victims mouthed "help me, this is not my dad," authorities said.
The two girls, both aged under 12, were leaving a restaurant outside Tampa on Sunday night when 37-year-old David Daniels approached them and said he’d "supervise" their walk home, FOX13 reported.
Daniels allegedly started hitting one of the girls over the head multiple times and continued to follow them, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said.
The girls, who didn’t know Daniels, then jumped on their bikes and rode towards a nearby church to ask for help.

[LB] The occupiers hit one of the buildings where people were hiding.
by Tanya Matyash
The Russian Federation launched an air strike on the city of Lisichansk in the Luhansk region.
This was announced by the head of OVA Serhiy Haidai.
He also said that the occupiers hit one of the buildings where people were hiding.
"At least three people were killed and seven were injured. We are dismantling the debris," he added.
It will be recalled that the defenders of Ukraine do not allow the enemy to break through to Lysychansk, but this city is constantly under fire. In the Luhansk region , the Armed Forces are holding back the Russian offensive from three sides .
According to the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the enemy is trying to surround the group of troops of the Armed Forces in Luhansk region .
This was announced at a briefing by Deputy Defense Minister Anna Malyar, reports LB.ua.
"The security situation around Ukraine remains difficult. The Russian Federation has been waging a full-scale war against our state for four months.
The main strategic, military-political and military-economic goals for our country remain the complete destruction of Ukrainian statehood and nation. According to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, given that Russia is unable to conduct successful offensive operations in several directions simultaneously, the Kremlin's main efforts are currently focused on establishing full control over the Luhansk and Donetsk regions, "said Malyar.
Russian troops are currently trying to surround the defense forces in the Severodonetsk, Lysychansk, Zolotoye, Slovyansk and Kramatorsk districts. The enemy continues to use high-precision means of destruction of ground, air and sea bases.
"According to the GUR, the biggest threat today is the Iskanders, the X-101 and X-155 cruise missiles, and the Caliber naval-based cruise missiles, which could strike at the entire depths of Ukraine." said the Painter.
She also said that another of the main goals of the enemy is the destruction of weapons and equipment, logistics coming from foreign partners.
"The enemy is also trying to damage the transport infrastructure used by us to transfer military and civilian cargo. In the future, Russia's actions will largely depend on Ukraine's availability of resources for hostilities and the scale of international military support," Malyar said.
According to her forecasts, the Kremlin will try to use military achievements as a key lever of influence in negotiations with the Ukrainian authorities.
[NYPOST] The Walt Disney Co. has delayed its plan to relocate 2,000 employees from Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, to Florida until 2026 amid a feud with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis ...Republican governor of Florida, stone in the shoe of the Dems and their ilk, maybe one-day president... and the Republican-dominated state legislature over the firm’s opposition to the new "Don’t Say Gay" law.
Initially, Disney planned to have the workers from its theme parks as well as its experiences and products division on the ground in the Sunshine State by the end of this year or at the beginning of next year.
But the company now says it wants to give those workers added "flexibility" by pushing back their scheduled move east, The Hollywood Reporter is reporting on Thursday.
A Disney spokesperson told THR that while "a growing number of employees" have already settled in central Florida, "we also want to continue to provide flexibility to those relocating, especially given the anticipated completion date of the campus is now in 2026."
The move has reportedly upset some employees who had already sold their houses in California and were working with local Orlando-area realtors on buying a home in central Florida, Orlando Business Journal reported.

Disney said they are delaying relocating workers, but I suspect they're really are making excuses and laying off workers discretely.
Aimee Harris is under investigation for selling Ashley Biden's diary after the president's daughter left it behind at a Palm Beach 'halfway house'
Previous reports claimed the Bidens reported it stolen in an alleged burglary, but DailyMail.com has learned Harris is not being investigated for theft
'It's her selling of the property that could be considered a crime. And the fact Ashley is the president's daughter kicks it to a different legal level,' a well-placed source said
Harris, 39, moved into a Palm Beach home and found the diary under the mattress shortly after Ashley moved back to Philadelphia in 2020
She is said to have later passed the private journal around at a Republican fundraiser before selling it for $40,000 to right wing organization Project Veritas
The diary contained shocking and sensitive information, such as details about her chronic drug abuse, sex addiction, and being 'hyper-sexualized' in her youth
'I remember having sex with friends @ a young age; showers w/ my dad (probably not appropriate),' she wrote in a January 2019 entry

IF the USA returns to normal.
We need to flush out the DOJ of Politics and require that it be run solely according to law and procedures that follow the US Constitutional. Or face a mandatory 10 year sentence for each violation.

[HexBear] It's a whole thread, click through to read it. Too many people dismiss anyone to the left of Newt Gingrich as "liberals" but these leftists aren't liberal at all. In fact they despise liberals. Painting them all with the same brush is foolish in the extreme, but people do it all the time.
If you know what you're doing, you can get Marxist-Leninists to start fighting with anarchists and Trotskyists. But being educated about what the hard left really thinks is valuable and a mark of an educated person. Too many people simply invent some stupid position that they imagine "commies" might hold and hand it to them, having no idea what they really think. Ignore them at your peril.

What a bunch of mentally ill, sick $hits for a future generation we are looking at.

[An Nahar] North Korea ...hereditary Communist monarchy distinguished by its truculence and periodic acts of violence. Distinguishing features include Songun (Army First) policy, which involves feeding the army before anyone but the Dear Leadership, and Juche, which is Kim Jong Il's personal interpretation of Marxism-Leninism, which he told everybody was brilliant. In 1950 the industrialized North invaded agrarian South Korea. Twenty-one countries of the United Nations eventually contributed to the UN force opposing the invasion, with the United States providing around 90% of the military personnel. Seventy years later the economic results are in and it doesn't look good for Juche... reported a new "epidemic" of an intestinal disease on Thursday, an unusual announcement from the secretive country that is already contending with a COVID-19 outbreak and severe economic turmoil.
It's unclear how many people are infected in what the official Korean Central News Agency said was "an acute enteric epidemic" in southwestern Haeju city.
The agency didn't name the disease, but enteric refers to intestinal illnesses, such as typhoid, dysentery and cholera, which are caused by germs in contaminated food or water or contact with the feces of infected people. Such diseases routinely occur in North Korea, where there is a shortage of water treatment facilities and the public health system has been largely broken for decades.
Some observers said the purpose of the announcement was not so much to report the infections themselves as to mention that leader Kim Pudge Jong-un ...the overweight, pouty-looking hereditary potentate of North Korea. Pudge appears to believe in his own divinity, but has yet to produce any loaves and fishes, so his subjects remain malnourished... donated medicine from his personal stock — an apparent effort to burnish his image at a moment of extreme hardship.
The official Korean Central News Agency reported that Kim donated medicine from what it referred to as his family's reserves. The country's main Rodong Sinmun newspaper carried a front-page photo showing Kim and his wife, Ri Sol Ju, looking at saline solutions and medicine that the paper said they donated.
In a country where power is concentrated is the hands of a small ruling elite and hospitals often lack even basic supplies, defectors say it's common for anyone who can to keep stocks of medicine in their homes — and bigwigs are typically able to stockpile more than ordinary citizens. Observers also said the donated medicine may have simply come from state storage facilities but was distributed in Kim's name.
"The outbreak of measles or typhoid isn't uncommon in North Korea. I think it's true there is an outbreak of an infectious disease there, but North Korea is using it as an opportunity to emphasize that Kim is caring for his people," said Ahn Kyung-su, head of DPRKHEALTH.ORG, a website focusing on health issues in North Korea. "So it's more like a political message than medical one."
Last month, North Korea reported a rising number of patients with fever. At the time, South Korea's spy agency said that "a considerable number" of the cases included those sick with measles, typhoid and whooping cough.

[REGNUM] Polish prosecutors have appealed a 2021 acquittal against three Chechen natives living in Poland in a case of raising funds for terrorist activities. It is reported by " Polish Radio."
Four natives of Chechnya were brought to trial in 2014 on charges of involvement in an organized group that acted in the interests of the Islamic State.
According to Polish law enforcement officers, they raised funds for the "jihad", recruited volunteers, bought military equipment, and also helped with the treatment in Poland of a militant who was wounded in Syria.
The defendants in court claimed that they were raising funds not for Syrian militants, but for the so-called "Chechen Republic of Ichkeria".
Following the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991, the so-called Chechen Republic of Ichkeria evolved into the Al Qaeda-linked Caucasus Emirate, the umbrella group for the jihadi organizations in the North Caucasus. Russia has been hunting down the jihadis of Caucasian Emirate for three decades...
In 2017, the court sentenced three to two years and a month in prison, and acquitted the fourth. It was recognized that the defendants acted in the interests of the terrorist group "Caucasian Emirate" (an organization whose activities are banned in the Russian Federation).
Caucasian Emirate most recently affiliated with ISIS under the name Caucasus Province. Thousands made hijra to the ISIS caliphate in Syria, others were adopted by Turkey — that whole Turkic peoples thingy. Most famously, the Tsarnaev brothers blew up the Boston Marathon for them.
Both parties appealed the verdict, but in July 2018 the Białystok Court of Appeal upheld it. After the defense complained to the Supreme Court, the case was sent for a new trial by the Bialystok Court of Appeal, and in March 2021, all three were acquitted.

[REGNUM] Peace has finally come to the liberated Mariupol. Shots and the roar of guns are not heard, only explosions of mine clearing are occasionally heard. Ukrainian troops have mined the territory for more than one year, so the process of getting rid of mines will not be quick. The war is gone from the city (hopefully forever), but have the problems disappeared?
No, a lot of problems remain - in most of the city there is no electricity, water supply and gas. Well, in the cold period, heat will obviously not come to all Mariupol houses. Are these problems being solved? Yes, but the process of completely rebuilding the city will take several years, given the extent of the destruction.
And what do the Ukrainian media say about this, which back in March unanimously claimed that Mariupol is better protected than the famous Fort Knox? Now these journalists have a new "song" - no one will restore the city, since the Russian budget will not pull such a feat. I would like to recall the restoration of the city of Grozny, which was destroyed during the Chechen war more than Mariupol. Now many European cities can envy the skyscrapers of this settlement.
Lies of the Ukrainian media number two. Specialists who came to the city (and Mariupol, as we remember, no one will restore) occupy the few surviving houses in the city, driving residents out onto the streets. Personally, I saw a large tent city in the village of Melekino (about ten kilometers from Mariupol), where employees of the Russian Emergencies Ministry live. Lots of tents...
Each district of Mariupol will be restored by one of the Russian cities.
The central district of Zhovtnevy, where I lived, will be restored by the forces of St. Petersburg. Municipal equipment from St. Petersburg is present on Mariupol roads and streets in considerable quantities. At the moment (almost around the clock) garbage and debris are being removed, rubble is being sorted out, under which there are still bodies of people and, possibly, unexploded ordnance.
Along the way, commissions work in the city, which decide whether it is technically possible to repair the house or whether it needs to be demolished “under the root” and a modern high-rise building should be built in its place. And after that there will be a special map of the city, on which the picture of the upcoming work will be fully visible. But it is already clear that a lot of construction work is underway, and it began before the hostilities in Mariupol were fully completed ...
On reading this, the wife is no longer riding my back about the $250 7c/ft chest freezer I bought and stocked with Beef and Chicken.
HINT: According to the FDA/USDA published Frozen Food Storage charts meats properly stored in vacuum heat sealed bags and frozen at or below Zero degrees will remain safe indefinitely. Losing only minor flavor over the months or years.

Some estimates have 10,000 but there is a lot of, pardon me, bullshit out there too.
110 is not unusual; we generally accept triple digits for extended days beginning late May through September. That it was cold (80s) and rainy and went straight to the 100s is tough, and with the humidity and lack of a breeze, lack of clouds is making the most sense at the moment.
Lots of people trying to ride this wagon, so keep your filters clean and the salt handy. For example, the forecast for last Wednesday had people screaming from the wheat fields about the high being 115F. The high ended up being mid-80s.
FWIW $250 for a 7 today is a hecuva deal; people around here who can are trying to bring their capacity up to at least 15cf as that will hold a cow and extras, or a half cow and pig, so forth.

So I went to the link at looked at the pictures and it was just as I thought. These animals were fenced into an area that had no shade. They had no way to escape the direct heat of the sun. Grow some trees, morons, or build some patio covers so your livestock can find some shade. Is that so hard to figure out?

Yes, the cows might be stupid but they know enough to seek shade when it's hot. I've seen them do it.

Back in the late 50's early 60's in south central Alabama we built shades for the livestock. We weren't stupid and neither were the cattle.

Those are not viable solutions to ranching this countryside.
Bunch of dangerous weather conditions happening all at once, including no wind, a rare thing. Fist I've heard of anything like this in scale.
[SHAFAQ] A rare U.S. military ground raid in northwestern Syria has captured a top ISIS leader, according to the U.S.-led anti-ISIS coalition.
A U.S. defense official said there were no injuries to U.S. military personnel and no damage to aircraft involved in the raid.
"Coalition forces detained a senior ISIS leader during an operation in Syria June 16," Operation Inherent Resolve said in a statement. "The detained individual was assessed to be an experienced bomb maker and controller who became one of the group’s top leaders in Syria."
A U.S. official told ABC News the name of the ISIS leader captured in the raid is Hani Ahmed al-Kurdi and described him as actively planning ISIS operations.
"Though degraded, ISIS remains a threat. We remain dedicated to its defeat. Last night’s operation, which took a senior ISIS operator off the battlefield, demonstrates our commitment to the security of the Middle East and to the enduring defeat of ISIS," said Gen. Erik Kurilla, the commander of U.S. Central Command, in a statement provided to ABC News.
Saudi-based al-Arabiya tv quoted sources saying that al-Kurdi was transferred to Iraq later.
U.S. military ground raids into northwestern Syria are risky because they are carried out far west from U.S. bases in eastern Syria in areas that are controlled either by snuffies or Syrian Hereditary President-for-Life Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad Oppressor of the Syrians and the Lebs... ’s government.
"The mission was meticulously planned to minimize the risk of collateral damage, particularly any potential harm to civilians," OIR said. "There were no civilians harmed during the operation nor any damage to Coalition aircraft or assets."
U.S. military ground operations in northwestern Syria have targeted top ISIS leaders, most notably Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, who killed himself during an October 2019 raid near the border with The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...just another cheapjack Moslem dictatorship, brought to you by the Moslem Brüderbund... that was carried out by the elite Delta Force.
His successor, Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Qurayshi, let 'er rip with a kaboom during a similar raid in February this year.
"Coalition forces will continue to work with our partners, the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Iraqi Security Forces, including the Peshmerga, to hunt the remnants of ISIS wherever they hide to ensure ISIS’s enduring defeat," Operation Inherent Resolve added. ISIS is another name used to describe ISIS.
U.S. coalition forces said they captured a senior Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... group bomb maker in an airborne operation before dawn Thursday in northern Syria. A war monitor and AFP correspondents said helicopters touched down for only a few minutes in a village in an area controlled by Ottoman Turkish-backed rebel groups.
"The captured individual is an experienced bomb maker and operational controller who became one of the top leaders of ISIS's Syrian branch," it said, using another name for IS.
Such operations by U.S. forces are rare in areas of northwestern Syria that are under the control of Ottoman Turkish-backed rebels and non-IS jihadist groups.
The latest previously was a raid in early February that led to the death of the group's leader Abu Ibrahim al-Qurashi, who detonated a bomb vest to avoid capture.
Observatory head Rami Abdel Rahman told AFP that two helicopters landed in Hmeirah
...also spelt Al-Humaira...
and took off seven minutes later, adding that only a few shots were fired during the operation.
"The U.S. operation was quick and smooth," he said. "It took place in the village of Hmeirah, northeast of the city of Aleppo and four kilometres (2.5 miles) from the Ottoman Turkish border."
[An Nahar] The life imprisonment verdicts issued Thursday by the Special Tribunal for Lebanon Hezbollahstan ...The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years. It produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. That's three statements. Only the first is subjective.... are the "clearest condemnation of Hizbullah ...Party of God, a Leb militia inspired, founded, funded and directed by Iran. Hizbullah refers to itself as The Resistance and purports to defend Leb against Israel, with whom it has started and lost one disastrous war to date, though it did claim victory... " in the 2005 liquidation of ex-PM Rafik Hariri, al-Mustaqbal ... the Future Movement, political party led by Saad Hariri... Movement leader ex-PM Saad Hariri ...Second son of Rafik Hariri, the Leb PM who was assassinated in 2005. He has was prime minister in his own right from 2009 through early 2011. He was born in Riyadh to an Iraqi mother and graduated from Georgetown University. He managed his father's business interests in Riyadh until his father's assassination. When his father died he inherited a fortune of some $4.1 billion, which won't do him much good if Hizbullah has him bumped off, too.... said.
"After the conviction of Salim Ayyash in the crime of the liquidation of martyr premier Rafik Hariri and his lover companions, the Appeals Chamber of the Special Tribunal for Lebanon unanimously sentenced two other Hezbollah members, Hassan Merhi and Hussein Oneissi, to life imprisonment," Hariri tweeted.
"The penalty is the harshest one stipulated by the statute and rules, but it is the clearest in terms of condemning Hezbollah as a side responsible for orchestrating and executing the crime," Hariri added.
Hezbollah "cannot evade the responsibility of handing over the convicts" so that "the penalty can be levied against them," the ex-PM went on to say, warning that "history will not be merciful" on Hezbollah if it does not do so.
Merhi and Oneissi had been found guilty on appeal in March by the Dutch-based STL after they were initially acquitted. The court found Merhi and Oneissi distributed a video in which a fictitious group grabbed credit for the attack, in a bid to protect the "real perpetrators" from a covert Hezbollah network.
But the pair are unlikely to ever spend time behind bars as Hezbollah has refused to hand them over, as it has refused to surrender a third man, Salim Ayyash, who was sentenced to life imprisonment in 2020.
Presiding judge Ivana Hrdlickova said both Merhi and Oneissi were aware that Hariri would be killed in the attack, adding that the sentences reflected the "evil nature of terrorism."
"The appeals chamber therefore unanimously decides to sentence Mr Merhi and Mr Oneissi to life imprisonment, the heaviest sentence under the statute and the rules for each of the five counts on which they were convicted," she said.
The men were found guilty of conspiracy to commit a terrorist act, and of being accomplices to commit a terrorist act, accomplices in the intentional homicide of Hariri and of the 21 other people, and accomplices in the attempted homicide of the 226 injured.
The attack on Sunni billionaire Hariri, who had stepped down as Lebanon's prime minister in October 2004, triggered protests that drove Syria out of Lebanon after a 29-year military deployment.
The court was born in 2009 out of a United Nations ...where theory meets practice and practice loses... Security Council resolution and eventually tried four suspects in absentia: Ayyash, Merhi, Oneissi and Assad Sabra.

[NYPOST] Tesla CEO Elon Musk will reportedly reiterate his desire to acquire Twitter during a virtual question-and-answer session with employees of the the Socialist paradise of San Francisco ...where God struck dead Anton LaVey, home of the Sydney Ducks, ruled by Vigilance Committee from 1859 through 1867, reliably and volubly Democrat since 1964... -based social media site on Thursday.
Shares of Twitter surged by nearly 3% in pre-market trading on Thursday after The Wall Street Journal reported what Musk was expected to tell the company employees during the all-hands meeting.
Investors were caught off guard by Musk last month when he indicated that he was putting the $44 billion acquisition "on hold" pending an examination of the site’s prevalence of bot and spam accounts.
It has been speculated that Musk was using the "bot" issue as a ploy to renegotiate a lower purchase price. Musk agreed to pay $54.20 a share, but Twitter’s stock since then has dipped to below $40 per share.
Musk’s one-hour long planned meeting as well as his move to increase the equity he is committing to the deal has reassured shareholders that the acquisition will go forward.
[Western Journal] President Joe Biden on Wednesday issued an executive order promoting transgender procedures for children, calling them "gender-affirming care."
In a White House background call to the news media, an unnamed senior administration official said the order was designed to "fight back against the onslaught of hateful anti-LGBTQI+ legislation that we’re seeing in the states."
"President Biden always stands up to bullies," the senior administration official said. "And that’s what these extreme MAGA laws and policies do — they bully kids. Hateful, discriminatory laws that target children are out of line with where the American people are. And President Biden is going to use his executive authority to protect kids and families." Just like he did with Corn-Pop!
The official accused states of passing "un-American policies."
The order gives the Department of Health and Human Services the lead role in ensuring that minors can undergo "gender transition" surgeries, according to Fox News.

#1, It's not about votes.
DC is overrun with gays and trannys. More so than San Fran. They have become entrenched into the fabric of government. They hire same and promote same. Essentially they have become strong influencers to the elected officials.
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited. About Russian literature. Well-known writer and literary historian Igor Petrovich Zolotussky answers questions from REGNUM news agency.
[REGNUM] Baku Today: Igor Petrovich, what do you think is the most important thing in Russian literature? What does she teach?
Igor Zolotussky: I think that the most important thing in Russian literature is its confession. No one can write, as Gogol said, "past himself." Everyone contributes to it their life, their experience. This begins with Derzhavin and continues in Pushkin, Gogol, Lermontov, Tyutchev, Tolstoy, Dostoevsky.
Its other important property and lesson is the literature of philanthropy and conscientiousness, aggravated conscientiousness in the face of God and in the face of one's people.
Baku Today: What are the most important faces in Russian literature? What are they teaching us?
Igor Zolotussky: Russian literature teaches us frankness, sincerity, the inseparability of personal, private life and Russian history.
Take Eugene Onegin. What's this? A novel about Onegin and Tatyana? This is the story of Pushkin's inner growth. This is also evidenced by his remarks accompanying the fate of the heroes. And it is no coincidence that Pushkin at the end of the novel, touching on the defining thoughts of Onegin, writes the word Confession , moreover, he writes with a capital letter. Confession is present in all his creations.
Or "Hero of our time." The history of Lermontov's soul is openly visible in Pechorin.
Finally, Tyutchev, Tolstoy, Dostoevsky. We read in their writings the stories of our own souls.
At the same time, Russian literature is the Educator. Also capitalized. She brought up entire generations, including mine: both outstanding heroes and simple workers. This is the most important feature of our tradition, that literature should be in the first place in Russia, in high esteem. Russian people will always think so.
Baku Today: What are the most important conclusions from Russian literature that we can draw in relation to our days? What is the most important thing about her right now?
Igor Zolotussky: It is impossible to name any specific advice that Russian literature gives in order to solve the ripe problems of the day. It's all about its general influence, the comprehension of its spirit.
Since childhood, we get used, reading the classics, to the beautiful Russian language, which sounds like music and enters our souls. Having already matured, we think about how her characters live. And we want to participate in what happens to them: we take them so close to our hearts. And their hearts are full of compassion. Today it is in demand more than ever.
Baku Today: There is no doubt that Russian literature is alive. Or is there? Who are the main figures in Russian literature now?
Igor Zolotussky: In recent years, I have read little contemporary authors. Basically, I was busy with the same classics.
For several years in a row, we made films on the Kultura channel. Here are my heroes: Gogol, Karamzin, Bunin, Tyutchev, Lermontov, Goncharov, Saltykov-Shchedrin, Turgenev, Nekrasov.
And plus more writers of the 20th century: Fedor Abramov, Viktor Astafiev, Vasil Bykov, Konstantin Simonov, Vladimir Nabokov, Solzhenitsyn.
But, despite the fact that I am not very familiar with modern Russian literature, I hope that it is alive. Because she inherited a powerful, wonderful legacy, which I mentioned above.
Baku Today: What should a writer be like if he wants to be a Russian writer? What should be a Russian reader?
Igor Zolotussky: As for the question of what a modern writer should be, I would like him to write in good Russian and give his reader at least some hope for the world. One thing you definitely cannot live without is without such hope.
In the reader, I hope for his sensitivity and thoughtfulness.
[Townhall] I get that people don’t like the idea of scumbags murdering kids. I don’t either, which is why I want criminals prosecuted and cops in schools. And I understand the appeal of a process to take away the guns from people we would all agree are bad but who have not yet actually gone and become felons or certifiable crazies. I have friends who argue for these laws, confident that our rights will be protected by due process. But I do not share their faith; if the last few years has taught us anything it is not to put our trust in institutions to do their constitutional duty when it conflicts with their political preferences. But even if a fair process could be established, the idea of red flag laws is entirely based upon a flawed premise. The premise is that you can just take a right away because you think it’s a good idea. It’s hard to see the due process when someone being processed has done nothing wrong. That’s key – if they have done something wrong, there are already constitutionally sound ways to restrain them.
You don’t get to take people rights without convicting them of a crime, or showing they are nuts and need to be in the booby-hatch. There’s no special exception to the Constitution because ten invertebrate Republican senators want to “do something.” We already have well-established and constitutional ways of “doing something.” If someone is a convicted felon, he’s banned from having a gun. If someone is making threats, get a restraining order or, better yet, arrest him. If someone is crazy, then channel that old Van Halen album and 5150 him. But the Founders would look upon you if you told them “Hey, we think it’s cool to strip people of their sacred rights because someone complains about them and a judge is too scared to actually demand real evidence and risk letting him keep his rights,” and they would say, “Taketh ye head from inside your rear endeth, for thou art a fool.”
Red flag laws are ripe for abuse. You can tell because the left is slobbering to get them enacted. Do Dems arrest the myriad scumbags wandering the streets of Democrat cities? Do they prosecute them? No, and these animals commit an Uvalde every few days. If Dems cared about “gun crime,” they would arrest, charge, and lock-up gun criminals, but they don’t. They care about thought crimes – yours. These laws might be used to disarm a few nutballs, sure, but they will also be used against us when we dissent too much. We’ve seen how they use the power of government against political opponents like us – IRS targeting, FBI entrapment, selective prosecutions, to name a few – and why the hell would we give them a new weapon when they have abused the ones they already have in the service of the regime? [REGNUM] After being detained by Ukrainian Nazis in Zaporozhye and the Dnieper, 367 people went missing, Colonel-General Mikhail Mizintsev, head of the National Center for Defense Control of the Russian Federation, said at a briefing on June 16.
Relatives and friends of the detainees since June 1 cannot find out their whereabouts and further fate.
"Only from June 1 to June 16, 2022, out of those detained, the fate of 367 people is still unknown to their relatives and friends: most of them are women and teenagers," Mizintsev said.
Mass detentions are taking place at checkpoints in Dnipro and Zaporizhia, where Ukronazis carry out total checks on the civilian population. All those suspected of disloyalty to the Kyiv regime are subjected to physical violence and taken away in an unknown direction.
“Ukrainian authorities, under the pretext of allegedly ensuring the safety of citizens, blocked all exits from the settlements they control towards the liberated territories of the people’s republics of Donbass, Zaporozhye, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv and Kherson regions, thereby endangering the lives of civilians and forcing them to independently evacuate to the western regions of Ukraine," said Mizintsev.

Commentary by Russian military journalist Boris Rozhin
[ColonelCassad] Captured American mercenaries Alexander Dryuke and Andy Hyun.
They were taken prisoner near Kharkov. This is the first confirmation of the capture of American mercenaries.
There is an opinion that they don’t talk about the dead in principle, but they start talking about the loss when the mercenaries are captured and they know that sooner or later they will be shown anyway.
[REGNUM] Another American “fighter against Russia” went missing on the territory of Ukraine, Ned Price , a spokesman for the US State Department, told reporters on June 16.
According to him, the person in question disappeared several weeks ago.
"I can’t talk about the specifics of this case. We understand that this person went to Ukraine to participate in hostilities. Unfortunately, we don't know all the details," Price said.
“We continue to urge US citizens in every possible way not to travel to Ukraine because of the great dangers posed by Russia,” the State Department spokesman added.
As REGNUM reported earlier, the British media previously announced two American Ukronazi mercenaries, 39-year-old Alexander Dryuk and 27-year-old Andy Hune, captured by the Russian military.

The process is pretty straight forward.
If they had enlisted into the Ukraine military, they will fall under the Geneva convention for POW status. As should all the Ukraine military captured. If they did not, they will fall under spies and mercenaries as far as Geneva is concerned and Russia will use them as political tools or put them on trial and execute them. They had to know the cost of being captured.

I actually heard Secretary of Energy Granholm use the term "war footing", and Biden is talking about the Defense Production Act. It sure seems like the administration thinks we are back in the Cold War.
WIKI citation: "The Defense Production Act of 1950 (Pub.L. 81–774) is a United States federal law enacted on September 8, 1950 in response to the start of the Korean War.[1] It was part of a broad civil defense and war mobilization effort in the context of the Cold War"
[NYPOST] Attempted presidential assassin turned musician John Hinckley Jr. is free from court oversight, but not yet free to rock and roll.
Hinckley — who attempted to kill President Ronald Reagan in 1981 — was set to perform at a sold-out concert in Brooklyn next month, but the venue where the gig was booked has cancelled the show.
Market Hotel, in Bushwick, announced Wednesday that the July 8 event was nixed.
"We don’t see the need to allow someone who did something awful to skip the line and play even our middle size independent community stage," the event space said in a statement posted to Instagram.
"And in doing so put our vulnerable communities at risk (without their consent) — especially if that artist wouldn’t have sold the tickets without the story of who they are and the violent mostly peaceful thing they did."
Hinckley, 67, shot up Reagan on March 30, 1981 outside the Hilton in Washington, DC. He maimed the 40th president, his press secretary James Brady, police officer Thomas Delahanty and Secret Service agent Tim MCarthy.
Reagan recovered from his injuries, but Brady spent the rest of his life in a wheelchair while Delahanty suffered nerve damage.
[NYPOST] One of the suspects arrested in the disappearance of a well-known British journalist confessed to killing him and the indigenous expert he was with in Brazil earlier this month, a federal police investigator said Wednesday.
The confession comes as human remains were found in the Amazon area where 57-year-old freelance news houndDom Phillips, who has written for the Guardian and Washington Post, and Bruno Pereira, 41, had disappeared on June 5.
The remains have not yet been identified, according to Justice Minister Anderson Torres.
The two men were last seen passing through a remote part of the Amazon rainforest by boat.
Two suspects, fishermen Amarildo da Costa de Oliveira and Oseney da Costa de Oliveira, have been arrested by Brazil’s federal police in connection to their disappearance.
Police said Amarildo, whose nickname is Pelado, confessed to shooting and killing both men Tuesday night. He then led authorities to the area where remains were found.
[NYPOST] A new Siena College poll has warning signs for President Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. Old, boring, a plagiarist, fond of hair sniffing and grabbing the protruding parts of women, and not whatcha call brilliant. Just look at the competent way he dumped Afghanistan... and other Democrats in the Empire State in what could be bruising elections for their party later this year.
Just 35% of respondents say President Joe Biden ...... 46th president of the U.S. The guy who lost Afghanistan, aka Biden's Bungle...... is doing a "good" or "excellent" as president while 37% and 25% respectively say the state and country are heading in the right direction.
Such numbers could help sink Democratic hopes of retaining several swing districts in the US House from New York are their narrow majority hangs in the balance this November.
Voters’ awareness of an ongoing increase in crime could weigh down Democrats as well despite the relative popularity of new gun restrictions at the state level, according to the poll of 802 registered voters conducted June 7-9 and June 13.
"About two-thirds of New Yorkers think crime in their community is a serious problem, including 78% of New York City voters — 40% very serious — 61% of upstaters and 51% of downstate suburbanites," pollster Steven Greenberg said in a blurb.

It's not who votes that counts. It's who counts the votes. They got away with outright fraud two years ago. Why should they be worried about doing it again? [cause they can't read history].

The warning signs are flashing but the Dems continue down the same road and appear to be stepping on the gas. Hopefully, at the last minute, they will respond by pouring money into Beto’s campaign which would be akin to holding a currency bonfire.

Israel doesn’t bomb countries with which it signed peace treaties, Mr. Pholing Crererong6639. On the other hand, as we’re seeing in the Ukraine, bombing is everyday behaviour when countries are at war.
Could that tweeter Hadi Nasrallah possibly be related to to the Hezbollah big turban? I ask because Hezbollah has 150,000 missiles aimed at targets across Israel, just waiting for Iran’s signal. Many of those missiles were shipped to Lebanon via that airport you’re fussing about, which makes the airport a legitimate military target.
[NYPOST] Progressive Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascon is facing mounting efforts to be ousted amid outrage that his "reckless" policies left a violent mostly peaceful gangbanger free to gun down two cops.
The woke prosecutor — already facing recall efforts — was blamed for cop-killer Justin Flores, 35, being free when he shot full of holes El Monte Police Cpl. Michael Paredes and Officer Joseph Santana on Tuesday.
The felon — who had his gang allegiance tattooed on his face — was free even though he was accused of breaking his probation for illegally carrying a gun.
Sen. Ted Cruz; ...US Senator from Texas. Republican contender for president in 2016, his stiff and abrasive manner earned him the title most hated man in the Senate. After a close win over Beto O'Rourke, who tried to out-Lastino him, he grew a beard and let his biting wit shine through. Cruz's comments have been known to leave life-threatening wounds at better than forty feet... was among those slamming Gascon after the DA issued a statement offering "heartfelt condolences" to the slain cops’ grieving loved ones.
"Officers Paredes and Santana gave their lives in the service of their fellow citizens," Cruz tweeted late Wednesday.
"It is outrageous the murderer was not in jail due to the reckless actions of George Gascon, a radical, soft-on-crime, Soros-backed DA," the Texas senator wrote.
Kurt Schlichter, an army veteran and lawyer with more than 450,000 followers on Twitter, went even further.
"Gascon flat out murdered those guys," he tweeted angrily. "Recall this piece of garbage."
Jennifer Van Laar, the managing editor of conservative outlet Red State, said she was "heartbroken and mad as hell."
"George Gascon, you are getting coppers — and lots of other people — murdered. TIME TO GO," she tweeted.
[NYPOST] A customer’s racist tirade was caught on camera as she berated workers at a Florida seafood restaurant while demanding a refund in addition to her leftovers to go.
The startling encounter unfolded at King Cajun Crawfish in Orlando on Monday, according to workers at the restaurant.
A woman repeatedly called the owner a "Chinese b—h" and told her to "go back to her country" while complaining about her food, the eatery said, according to a video of the incident.
"She ordered snow crabs and fried shrimp. At the end of the meal to pay, she said the shrimp was spoiled (it wasn’t) and she ate 3. We said sorry we cannot refund it and she started saying racist remarks," King Cajun Crawfish wrote on its Instagram page.
"We’re gonna make sure you go on Google," the irate customer said while filming Kristen Nguyen behind the counter, according to cellphone and security video.
"You’re a Chinese b—h, not me," continued the apparent instigator, clad in jeans and a black T-shirt.
"Okay, I got you on camera calling me that," Nguyen replied, as she recorded cellphone footage of her own.
"You’re a Chinese b—h," the customer continued.
"Okay, thank you," the worker replied.
"You’re a Chinese b—h, you want me to spell it for you? You’re a Chinese b—h."
As the hateful exchange dragged on, the angry customer welcomed the idea of involving authorities.
"Who gives a f—k, b—h? Call the police! What they gonna do? I’ll say it front of them. You’re a Chinese b—h, now what?" she said, growing more irritated.
The customer then taunted the worker with a series of insulting approximations of the Chinese language before getting the food she complained about boxed up in a take-out container.
"Take your a— back to your country. Ching chong," she said as she left the establishment.
The woman’s hatred of Chinese people was actually misdirected toward Nguyen, who was born in the US and is of Vietnamese heritage, according to Orlando Weekly.
Orange County sheriff’s officials were investigating the outburst, the outlet said. The department had recently started an Asian American and Pacific Islander liaison program to address the nationwide uptick in hate crimes against people of Asian descent during the coronavirus (aka COVID19 or Chinese Plague) ...the twenty first century equivalent of bubonic plague, only instead of killing off a third of the population of Europe it kills 3.4 percent of those who notice they have it. It seems to be fond of the elderly, especially Iranian politicians and holy men... pandemic.
The restaurant identified the woman from her receipt as the proprietor of a local skincare business whose Yelp page was subsequently shut down after being inundated with bad reviews from web users who were horrified by the racist tantrum.
The Post is not including the name of the woman or her business as alleged by Nguyen.
The restaurant owner, however, said that a different business called Beauty Bar Orlando was being incorrectly targeted by online advocates and stressed that that establishment was not connected to the racist rant.

[RIA Novosti] Units of the LPR and the Russian military have entrenched themselves in the industrial zone of Severodonetsk, including near the Azot chemical plant, where Ukrainian militants are located, Lieutenant Colonel of the People's Militia of the Luhansk People's Republic Andrei Marochko said on Channel One.
"Our units, together with Russian units, have already established themselves in the 'promka' (industrial zone) and have begun a special operation. That is, we are already slowly starting to move along the industrial zone and clean up this territory," he said.
The official representative of the Lugansk department , Ivan Filiponenko , noted that there were fighters of the People's Militia, as well as "allied troops represented by the Akhmat regiment." (special purpose regiment named after the Hero of Russia Akhmat-Khadzhi Kadyrov. - Approx. ed.)
According to the LPR authorities, there are up to a thousand Ukrainian nationalists and militants on the territory of the plant.
Fights for Severodonetsk have been going on since the beginning of May. Last week, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu announced the complete liberation of residential areas of the city.
Ukrainian armed formations control the territory of Azot and, according to the Ministry of Defense, hold hundreds of civilians there.
For the evacuation of the civilian population from the territory of the chemical plant, the Russian side provided a humanitarian corridor in a northerly direction towards the city of Svatovo in the Luhansk People's Republic. However, the Ukrainian troops violated the ceasefire twice and disrupted the process by shelling the city blocks as well. In just five days of evacuation, the DPR army evacuated more than a thousand people from Severodonetsk.

[Censor] The main strike group of Russian troops in the Donbass is advancing on the Bakhmut-Soledar area. The enemy is trying to expand the breakthrough zone from Popasna. At the same time, the enemy continued to attack Slovyansk and stormed Severodonetsk.
The Russians reached the Bakhmut-Lysychansk highway near the villages of Nagirne and Berestove.
At the same time, the occupiers extended the breakthrough wedge north to Pokrovsky and south of the village of Vrubivka to Lysychansk.
The occupiers of Lysychansk and Severodonetsk are thus trying to capture and surround on both sides.
The Russian command is trying to cross the Bakhmut-Lysychansk route, which is a convenient line of defense, to attack Siversk and threaten the entire environs of Severodonetsk-Lysychansk.
At the same time, the enemy is trying to attack Lysychansk from the south and reduce the Ukrainian defenses in the area of Zolote Hirske-Toshkivske.
The Russian offensive can be stopped only by defeating the Russian strike group in the Bakhmut-Popasna area.
The issues remain the same: front-line control, artillery reconnaissance, corrective means, counter-battery combat, shells.
Russian troops are also suffering heavy losses, and advancement is very expensive for the Russians. The Ukrainian infantry bears the main burden and allows Ukrainian firearms, especially artillery, to beat the enemy.
The Ukrainian command defends every meter of Ukrainian land to the last opportunity, trying to stop the enemy everywhere. There is a hard battle for depletion, Ukrainian troops remain in control and high fighting spirit and motivation, it is a daily mass feat, and people are doing everything possible despite the lack of weapons and ammunition.
