[FreeBeacon] The last bill that Ryan sponsored that was signed into law was in January 2021. That law renamed a Department of Veterans Affairs outpatient clinic. Before then, Ryan had not seen any of his bills signed into law since 2014.
Rep. Tim Ryan (D., Ohio) calls himself a "relentless advocate for Ohio’s working families," but his nearly two-decade stretch in Washington, D.C., has resulted in passing just four bills, according to a Washington Free Beacon review of his sponsored legislation.
Of those laws, three of them were to rename federal buildings, including a post office in Tallmadge, Ohio. The fourth bill transferred the ownership of a Ravenna, Ohio, building from the federal government to the Ohio government.
Ryan, who is running for Ohio’s open Senate seat in November, first entered Congress in 2003 after serving a half term in the Ohio Senate. He claims on his campaign website that he has spent his time in Washington, D.C., working on, among other things, bipartisan legislation to solve the opioid crisis, strengthen entitlements, and bring jobs back from overseas. "Tim has spent his career fighting for Ohio workers," Ryan’s campaign website reads.
But none of that rhetoric has translated into bills signed into law and raises questions about Ryan’s central campaign pitch: That he’s a bipartisan dealmaker looking to overcome partisan divides. Generally, incumbents try to sell voters on their record. In Ryan’s case, he speaks about what is possible if Democrats maintain control of the Senate—rather than what he has accomplished.
"So we have to invest into our people. Into child care. Into our families. Into our kids. Into shop class," Ryan said at a recent campaign stop. "Into building resiliency for our kids, so that they have the grit and the determination to go out in this world that's crazy as can be."
[Jpost] The US assassinated the leader of ISIS in Syria, Maher al-Agal, in an airstrike on Tuesday, US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on Tuesday afternoon.
The strike targeted al-Agal, one of the top five leaders in ISIS, and a senior ISIS official nearby was seriously injured, according to CENTCOM.
Al-Agal was also responsible for "aggressively pursuing" the development of ISIS networks outside of Iraq and Syria.
"This strike reaffirms CENTCOM's steadfast commitment to the region and the enduring defeat of ISIS," said Col. Joe Buccino, a CENTCOM spokesperson. "The removal of these ISIS leaders will disrupt the terrorist organization's ability to further plot and carry out global attacks.
Earlier in the day, the White Helmets reported that one person was killed and another was injured when an unidentified drone targeted a motorcycle near Jindires in northwest Syria's Aleppo Governorate. The injured person has since died.
One of the people on the motorcycle was carrying an ID card with the name Khalid Subaih, according to Syrian media.
The reported assassination comes just a day before US President Joe Biden was set to begin his visit to Israel and Saudi Arabia.
In June, US forces captured senior ISIS leader Hani Ahmed al-Kurdi in Syria.
In February, ISIS leader Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Quraishi killed himself and his family during a raid by US Special Forces in northern Syria. Al-Quraishi had led the movement since the death of its founder, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, who was also killed when he detonated explosives during a US raid in 2019.
This happened about ten minutes ago; a couple of knuckleheads laying down in the road and set off some red smoke bombs. Race was temporarily stopped by race officials.
If you get USA Network, check it out now; I'll post links as they become available.

Years & years ago there was this Catalan separatist group (forget the name right now) that used to pull these stunts whenever they went through the Pyrenees mountain stages. Haven't seen those guys in ages now.

They should have a car go before the cyclists. If anyone is in the road the car will either squish them or force them to reconsider their protests.

When the NBC crew was covering this live, I spotted a picture from the 1980's of Bernard Hinault ('The Badger', five time TdF winner) punching a protestor hard in the face with an overhand right when they pulled that shit back then. To me, that's the right response.
[AndMagazine] We have already seen multiple political opponents of the Biden regime targeted by the White House and the Attorney General. Now the Gateway Pundit is predicting that the Democrats may intend to arrest former President Trump in October prior to the fall elections. Sources talking to AND Magazine have reported they are hearing the same thing from inside the January 6th committee and that thousands of other Americans who were in D.C. on January 6, 2021, will be arrested as well.
#1
BTW, that's how the Romans formally ended their republic. Prosecuting the former rulers and followers. Why do you think they told Caesar to not cross the Rubicon with his legions?
#2
Arresting Trump will be the spark they cannot possibly misunderstand. I think far too many of the progressive democrats now fear the looming anger of the American people. But do they have the gumption to provoke outright, massive, political violence? I have my doubts. They saw the Covid opportunity to jump=start the revolution a generation too soon I think.
The Marxist long-march through the institutions is well underway, but needs another decade or more to erase our embedded cultural/historic memories from the middle cohort of American society. This will fail, God willing, but ruthless, legal culling of the elites who brought this must follow.
If the LSD pull such a Political Coup, then they likely have failed to take into account the 55+ year old age group that has no problem acting as defenders of the US Republic.
QUESTIONS?
1. Will they even have the power after NOV. 2022 Mid-Terms?
2. Do they have enough RINO's to help pull it off another coup?
3. I wonder who will be the 1st to publish the LSD's Coup members list of home, safe house hiding addresses and/or Restaurant/dining out locations? All Just like they did to certain SCOTUS justices.
#4
Fuck legal culling. I don't know why all of you are still with the "kill with kindness" or let the "law " take care of it. Neither 1 of these practices have worked and the POS have turned all the letter agencies into weapons against the people they are supposed to protect and serve. Fuck everyone one of the sob's up there and I would not give a shit if I seen their asses hanging from poles.

The J6 Committee has a fatal flaw in that they actually devour believe their own bullshit propaganda.
Take that 'grab the steering wheel' testimony. They had to have some idea it was false - but they went with it anyway and so did the media - a provable lie. Yet they still swear it's true.

I doubt Trump's driven any sort of vehicle in decades (or many other of the 'elite' politicians, for that matter); that's how I knew that particular lie was just that.
[TheDrive] The Air Force now has all the major components for its pod-mounted defensive laser weapon, paving the way for first airborne tests.
The U.S. Air Force has received a high-energy laser weapon that can be carried by aircraft in podded form. The news came today when Lockheed Martin disclosed that at least one of the weapons, which it developed, has been delivered to the Air Force for test work. This effort falls within the wider framework of still-evolving plans to have laser-armed fighter jets that can engage enemy missiles, and possibly other targets too.
A report today from Breaking Defense confirmed that Lockheed Martin delivered its LANCE high-energy laser weapon to the Air Force in February this year. In this context, LANCE stands for “Laser Advancements for Next-generation Compact Environments.” The recipient for the new weapon is the Air Force Research Laboratory, or AFRL, which is charged with developing and integrating new technologies in the air, space, and cyberspace realms.
Tyler Griffin, a Lockheed executive, had previously told reporters that LANCE “is the smallest, lightest, high-energy laser of its power class that Lockheed Martin has built to date.”
Indeed, Griffin added that LANCE is “one-sixth the size” of a previous directed-energy weapon that Lockheed produced for the Army. That earlier laser was part of the Robust Electric Laser Initiative program and had an output in the 60-kilowatt class. We don’t yet know what kind of power LANCE can produce although there have been suggestions it will likely be below 100 kilowatts.
As well as being notably small and light, LANCE has reduced power requirements compared to other previous weapons, a key consideration for a fighter-based laser, especially one that can be mounted within the confines of a pod.
#1
I can see replacing a spooky gunship's weapons with lasers so you could blast things silently with no evidence, but on a fighter it seems daft. You would need to keep the laser on target forever in fighter jet time.
#3
You would need to keep the laser on target forever in fighter jet time.
Maybe. They already have autolock systems for targeting lasers and to take down missiles and mortar shells. How long would it take to drill through the aluminum skin and start cutting engine fan blades off? That is the interesting question.
[Townhall] Consider the logic of the left and it’s no wonder that many people are considering the unspeakable — whether America will devolve into actual violent conflict. But I dare speak about it at length in my brand-new book We’ll Be Back: The Fall and Rise of America, which confronts this issue of systematic political violence head-on. The most important question related to the long decline of America at the hands of a corrupt, incompetent, and terminally foolish ruling caste that controls our major institutions is whether we can pull out of this tailspin without bloodshed.
I sure hope so, but the risk is real and we need to confront it.
The logic of the left accepts political violence. A few years ago, one of its acolytes tried to wipe out the congressional Republican caucus on a softball field; last month, another member of the MSNBCNN target demo tried to off Justice Kavanaugh for somewhat limiting the ability of progressives to conveniently kill babies. Even the reaction to the recent molestation of the famously beer-ophilic jurist as he nibbled on a rib-eye at Morton’s in DC was indicative — this personal confrontation was celebrated by the left instead of decried. What’s the logical limit when you sign onto the idea that one can legitimately influence politics via the personal intimidation of officials placed in office by our agreed constitutional procedures? If you can get in his face, why can’t you slap it? Or put a bullet in it? If there is a boundary, the left is not setting it. Keep in mind that civil conflict is not unknown in America, Our revolution was also a civil war — one sparked by tyrants seeking to enforce gun control. The Civil War that followed four score and change years later was sparked by Democrats angry over the Republican demand that they stopped treating human beings inhumanly — a theme that continues to this day. Prior to the War Between the States was a war between the pro- and anti-slavery militias along the Missouri-Kansas borders.
In the late-sixties/early-seventies, there was an urban leftist insurgency by groups like the Weather Underground and the Black Panthers that resulted in hundreds of bombings and many killings. It was dealt with as a law enforcement matter, but in a distinctly militaristic way. The Los Angeles Police Department famously annihilated most of the Symbionese Liberation Army — whose battle cry was "DEATH TO THE FASCIST INSECT!" — in a blazing firefight in South Central that was broadcast on national TV.
[Townhall] Shortly after Meghan Markle voiced her disapproval of the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, reports broke that she promoted a "woman power" necklace that raises money for abortion giant Planned Parenthood.
Page Six reported Thursday that Markle, 40, donned the necklace from the company Awe Inspired for a VAX Live Event, an event that celebrates the COVID-19 vaccine. Reportedly, 100 percent of the proceeds from the necklace and the company’s Ruth Bader Ginsburg collection will be donated to Planned Parenthood.

[ZERO] One question macro-watchers have on their minds is the state of the US consumer amid increasing threats of recession. The White House and Federal Reserve offer their perspective of a healthy consumer, but that's in total aggregate. It fails to show the entire story of working-poor Americans suffering amid the worst inflation storm in forty years.
What better way to get a fresh glimpse of consumer health is via CNBC's "Squawk on the Street" interview with Craig Jelinek, CEO of Costco Wholesale Corporation, on Monday, who said overall "the consumer isn't doing bad," but also mentioned, "a lot of people, right now, they're in a recession because they're just trying to survive by just buying gas and making house and rent payments."
Sounds confusing, right? But it's not. With some clarification, Jelinek said wealthier households still have "discretionary income to buy goods," which means the lower tier of consumers is perhaps tapped out.
What's important is the CEO of the second-largest retailer in the world said, "consumers are getting more cautious." It's not necessarily a sign that all consumption is about to roll over, but cracks appear in lower-tier spenders.

Considering their flood of daily email 'bargain' listings is composed of a lot of non-essential higher end appliances, electronics, furniture and assorted materials, his company doesn't seem as focused on what he's talking about other than the usual bulk food, healthcare items, and common consumables.
#2
As he points out, the Costco customer is in a higher income bracket, and thus in far less distress. But the sudden, new daily ads campaign suggests that those customers, too, are being considerably more careful what they spend on and how much, and must be actively seduced into considering spending beyond essentials.

A CEO who gets it and knows the messaging coming from the WH about the "best economy ever" is just gaslighting marlarky--They piss down our legs and tell us it's raining.
[Red State] It’s no secret that the Biden administration has made a mess of things — and it’s not just Joe. Kamala can’t get a coherent sentence out of her mouth and has done precisely nothing about the border crisis. Pete Buttigieg is apparently unbothered by continuing supply chain issues, and it seems that no one at the FDA is worried about babies being able to eat since it’s still difficult to find baby formula on store shelves (I know; I checked last night). In the midst of this chaos, while all of us have been focused on just getting by, Consumer Finance Protection Bureau (CFPB) Director Rohit Chopra has been busy installing allies in various regulatory agencies and working to massively expand the size and reach of the federal government — and his own power base — essentially in the shadows.
He’s being driven out of the shadows now, partly thanks to the US Chamber of Commerce, which "launched an extensive campaign to expose and defeat Consumer Finance Protection Bureau (CFPB) Director Rohit Chopra’s ideologically driven agenda to radically change the nature of America’s financial services industry" on June 28. In a press release, the Chamber alleges that "If [Chopra is] allowed to proceed, his agenda would harm consumer choice and innovation."
Elizabeth Warren and her lefty colleagues have been working on radically changing the nature of our financial services industry for years, and while the Chamber and business groups have repeatedly sounded the alarm, this campaign is definitely taking it to the next level. What makes Chopra and his actions any different from what we’ve already seen? According to the Chamber:
#2
Mr. Chopra was appointed to his previous position by President Trump — he didn’t bat 100% on his personnel choices, we see once again. It must be quite a shock for the administration to find themselves attacked because of him now.
Glad to see the Chamber of Commerce stepping up — the letter they sent out is a doozy.

The real lesson of the outburst is that nothing is ever enough for the gun grabber crowd. Every step is just one more step down the road to total disarmament of the civilian population. There is no "compromising" with them. It's time for Republicans to figure that out.
I'm not holding my breath.

Biddden (as my wife calls him ) can't stand criticism or interruptions because he's the biggest brain in the room.
[NYPOST] Europe is fearful that the Kremlin will indefinitely extend this week’s planned shutdown of a key Russian natural gas pipeline in a bid to ratchet up pressure on Western nations during the war in Ukraine, according to multiple reports.
Operator Nord Stream AG confirmed Monday that its Nord Stream 1 pipeline — a key artery for natural gas shipments from Russia to Europe — had shut down for routine maintenance. The annual shutdown typically lasts for about 10 days and is expected to conclude on July 21.
But rising tensions between Russia and Western allies have added to concerns that Russian President Vladimir Putin will cut off the flow of natural gas for a much longer period in response to crippling economic sanctions — a move that could push Europe into a full-blown energy crisis.
“The last few months have shown one thing: Putin knows no taboos. A complete halt to gas supplies through the Nord Stream pipeline cannot therefore be ruled out,” Timm Kehler, managing director of German industry association Zukunft Gas, told Reuters.
Germany and other European nations remain heavily reliant on Russia oil and gas — a reality that has undercut a movement backed by Ukraine’s government and some members of the European Union to end purchases from Russian sources in response to the invasion.

Why wouldn’t they start it back up - now. The EU is effectively funding the Russian SMO by purchasing gas. Now later - when it’s 20 degrees colder - there might be “unscheduled maintenance”…
#4
In addition to its continuing battlefield supremacy, Russia now has time on its side, thanks to the booming commodity market and Russia’s many willing energy buyers.
@MktsInsider:
Russia snagged $24 billion in just three months from its energy sales to India and China, report says
Russia has reaped bumper revenues from its oil, gas and coal sales to Asian buyers like India and China that have pounced on cheap prices.
Ukraine is in the polar opposite situation. Kiev is becoming a massive financial liability for the West. Even as Western powers have already allocated over 100 billion dollars in weapons and aid to Ukraine, the Zelensky-led government continues to demand incredible sums to sustain the war effort.
The West’s “long Ukraine” leveraged bet is facing another margin call and demanding additional collateral. On top of tens of billions already spent on protecting the position, hundreds of billions more will need to be injected into the Ukrainian government in perpetuity in order to avoid total liquidation, which would present itself through the loss of western control over Kiev. With over one hundred billion dollars already allocated to the country, the Ukrainian government is again in dire economic straits, while piling up major losses on the battlefield…

Germany is blocking more aid to the Ukraine grifters' cesspool:

Not just hindsight. Most people who are not in on the Ukraine grift saw that sanctions were the most idiotic policy of the most incompetent set of leaders we've ever seen.
In hindsight, it should be clear by now that the sanctions never had a chance of achieving the stated objective of bankrupting the Russian economy and slowing its military. China, India, and dozens of other countries remained neutral and continued to trade openly with Moscow. Despite U.S. pressure, they did not even consider joining the sanctions effort.
As U.S. sanctions against Russia continue to collapse, the Biden Admin may find itself being able to count the remaining parties to the coalition on one hand.
With all of these continuing crises, coupled with a historic failure on the part of the Biden Administration, don’t be shocked if the war in Ukraine comes to an end sooner rather than later.
#7
I see no Russian advantage to ending the SMO before the end of the year. By rotating their troops through the theater they will become the most experienced modern army in conventional modern warfare. EU/US forces participating vicariously don’t have skin in the game and won’t take away lessons viscerally - just academically. That’ll provide an advantage in next year’s operations (where ever they may be).
#10
Germany is being forced to fire up eleven COAL (!) PLANTS it was going to decommission -- just to keep its population from freezing in the dark this winter.
Oh thank goodness, they’re being sensible on the subject for the first time in years. Shutting down the coal plants, then depending on France and Russia for substitute energy, was suicidally stupid. As is currently being demonstrated.

Ukrs are strictly consistent in their primary interests. Their priority is ammunition depots and air defence positions. Just tonight they “put in the air” another ammunitions cache in Nova Kakhovka. The partners have already carefully posted the video online.

Another Russian, here" sees a broader problem:
"Another thing regarding the effectiveness of Ukrainian rocket strikes. Many write about how to minimise losses from them. Aside from strengthening air defence it is suggested to disperse ammunition storages, avoid bringing armoured vehicles to one base, avoid lining up helicopters in one line, and decentralise everything in general. But you see what the problem is – you can decentralise, but this will be a completely different army, not the Russian-Soviet army. Decentralisation is contrary to the structure of not just the army itself but the whole state structure in general. Indeed, along with distribution of ammunitions to different stockpiles, along with moving vehicles to various forests, also the powers must be transferred down – to these forests and stockpiles. But these powers for hundreds of years have been carefully focused in one location. And that is how the authority preserved itself. But here – decentralisation. This is worse than military losses."

And from the American side, here's Jim Mattis, whatever you think of his politics:
Mattis, a former Marine four-star general who led the Pentagon during the first two years of the Trump administration, condemned "the immoral, the tactically incompetent, operationally stupid and strategically foolish effort" of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
When asked during the forum what military lessons could be learned from Russia's more than four-month-long war with Ukraine, Mattis replied, "One is don't have incompetent generals in charge of your operations".

And the absence of the air force would explain the reluctance of "thousands" of ground pounders to go into battle:
“A couple of weeks ago one of my followers wrote to me that her son and some of his fellow soldiers at the front handed in their notices,” said Rinchino, who is head of the legal department at the Free Buryatia Foundation, an anti-war organization founded by members of Russia’s indigenous Buryat community.
“A hundred people all [resigned] at the same time,” he told The Moscow Times.
Since the start of Russia’s bloody invasion of Ukraine in February, thousands of Russian contract soldiers and National Guard employees have refused to be sent into battle.
Helping these conscientious objectors are a handful of Russian human rights organizations, NGOs and individuals with legal training. But, as the Kremlin looks to shore up support for the war and crush dissent, Russian lawyers have faced an unprecedented wave of pressure.

"He didn't sign up for a war in another country. It was basically a deception. Only on the eve of the invasion were they informed they would cross the border."
The woman, who asked not to be identified for fear of repercussions for her anti-war activities, is one of a growing number of mothers, sisters, and partners of Russian soldiers from poor regions like Buryatia and Tyva who are coming together to press officials to let their loved ones return home."

I’m sure, if asked, a similar percent would have said the same about Czechoslovakia or Poland before the official start of World War II. And then they didn’t, with the result written in our history books: in the end they suffered the dubious pleasures of being conquered by the conquerer of Poland and Czechoslovakia — half the continent being conquered twice when the Soviets came through.
To be fair, the other half of the continent was reconquered by the Allies with all the destruction that entailed, but unlike the Soviets they gave it back to the original owners.

the Germans are actually going to ration hot water, reduce street lighting, curb electricity usage.
Predicted as soon as Germany decided to mothball her own power plants and use Russia as a primary supplier. If it weren’t this war, it would have been something else — turning off the tap is just too deliciously easy to use, and Germany does like to posture, ignoring how annoying that is to countries that can do something about it.
[NYPost] A Florida vice mayor is facing calls to apologize after she snapped at local cops who pulled her over at a traffic stop to "find something better to f—king do."
Pompano Beach Vice Mayor Beverly Perkins was seen in footage posted to YouTube last week being pulled over in a white Audi in April.
An unidentified officer tells her that she was driving 15 to 20 miles over the speed limit in two separate zones before he pulled her over. After running her license, the officer opts not to ticket the official and approaches her vehicle.
"Ms. Perkins, you need to slow down, okay?" he said before giving her a warning.
Visibly annoyed, Perkins does not respond to the officer’s admonition.
"Did you hear what I said?" he asks several times before Perkins nods and begins to put on her seatbelt.
As the cop begins to depart, she asks for his name and then states her vice mayoral position.
"Y’all need to find something better to f—king to do," Perkins says as she drives off.
After the footage surfaced, Scott Mosely, the president of the Fort Lauderdale Fraternal Order of Police, issued a statement on the incident Friday.
"We suggest you apologize and then sign up for some ride alongs to see what [officers] do every day to protect the citizens of our great city," he wrote. "As an elected official, you too are held to a higher standard and should know better. We suggest you obey the speed limit and seek anger management."
Local 10 reported that Perkins was not available for comment on the exchange.

Penalties for any politician caught breaking the law, no matter how minor should be at a minimum x10 or x100. And a minimum of 5 lashes in the public square with a cane or cat' their choice.
[NYPOST] Only in America, it seems, can border-patrol agents be cleared of breaking any laws but still be punished, while those entering the country illegally mostly escape punishment.
President Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. S I'm not working for you. Don't be such a horse's ass.... , then-press secretary Jen Psaki ...a valley girl who woke up one morning and found she was spokeswoman for the U.S. Department of State under Obama... and Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas all rushed to judgment when they saw a video of Texas Border Patrol agents last September herding Haitians attempting to enter the country without authorization. Biden had threatened the agents, saying they would "pay" for their actions.
They have paid in lost time on the job, the smearing of their character and probably an end to their careers. It is the administration that should pay. One hopes the agents will find a lawyer who sues them for slander.
In a 511-page report (only the government requires so many words to explain the obvious), Customs and Border Protection said the agents did not whip the migrants colonists but added they are still guilty of "unprofessional conduct," including using "unnecessary force on Haitians."
Apparently, some of the agents used bad language while trying to turn the people back. Shocking, I know. Were they supposed to say: "Would you pretty please turn around and go back to your country?"
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has joined other Republicans in calling on Biden and others to apologize to the four agents they falsely accused. Good luck with that. Being a high government official means never having to say you’re sorry. Paxton said instead of being punished, the agents "should be rewarded."
[Mediaite] First Lady Jill Biden told a group of progressive Texas Hispanic voters they were as "unique" as "breakfast tacos" during a speech Monday in San Antonio.
Biden addressed a crowd assembled for the UnidosUS Annual Conference, which began on Saturday.
According to video of her remarks obtained by Jorge Bonilla of the the conservative Media Research Center, she compared attendees to breakfast tacos.
She also mispronounced the word "bodega" when she said "bogeda."
"[Raul Yzaguirre] helped build this organization with the understanding that the diversity of this community, as distinct as the bogedas of The Bronx, as beautiful as the blossoms of Miami, and as unique as the breakfast tacos here in San Antonio, is your strength," Biden said.
Once again, Dr. Jill Biden butchers the Spanish language in furtherance of pandering to a client constituency (the org FKA National Council of La Raza). I hereby bless your timelines with Dr. Jill's rendering of "bodega". pic.twitter.com/Z4FSXtlUMe
— Jorge Bonilla, Bowgedah Bro (@BonillaJL) July 11, 2022
KENS reported the annual conference was titled "Siempre Adelante: Our Quest for Equity." The outlet noted:
The event is the largest gathering of Latino advocates, community members and businesses. They talk about the issues that are affecting the more than 62 million Latinos across the country.
During the conference today, UnidosUS will release a report called Latino student success: advancing U.S. educational progress for all. It explores the progress of Latino students over several decades and the impact the pandemic had on education.
"Each year the UnidosUS Annual Conference is the premier event devoted to the diverse Hispanic community that is moving our country forward," the conference notes on its website.

Are Joe, Jill, Kamala et al really that dumb that they just read whatever is put in front of them? Of course, the speech writers can't be blamed for an ad-libbing that goes on.

[LB] Shelling continues along the entire front line.
Iryna Gamalii
In the East, the occupiers are trying to advance in the Bakhmut, Lyman and Donetsk directions, but the Armed Forces of Ukraine are holding their positions.
Pavlo Kyrylenko , the head of the Donetsk OVA, announced this on the air of the UArazom telethon .
"The shelling continues along the entire front line. Indeed, during the past day, the enemy used all measures of defeat in order to advance in the Bakhmut and Lyman directions, but had no success. Similarly, in the Donetsk direction, these are Maryinka, Krasnohorivka and Avdiivka. The armed forces of Ukraine are holding their positions, and the enemy has no opportunity to advance," Kyrylenko said.
According to him, the invaders occasionally carry out offensive actions in small groups in Donetsk region, but the Ukrainian defense is ready to repel the enemy.
"But, understanding how many enemy armored personnel carriers are concentrated in the Bakhmut and Lyman directions, in the direction of the cities of Bakhmut, Sloviansk, Kramatorsk, we understand that there will be attempts and further aggressive actions of the enemy," he said.
Kyrylenko added that the Donetsk OVA, together with the military command, "are building a defense that will make it possible to stop the enemy."
"And then we can already talk about de-occupation, the General Staff will additionally inform about it," Kyrilenko concluded.
We will remind, today the Russian occupiers fired rockets at Toretsk, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Raihorodok in the Donetsk region. There are victims among the civilian population.
[LB] On July 11, rescuers continued to search for the dead and injured in the rubble of the five-story building, according to the message of the Emergency Department of Donetsk Oblast.
As of 5:47 p.m., according to the information of the deputy head of the Office of the President Kyril Tymoshenko, rescuers retrieved 9 wounded and 30 dead from the rubble. "Employees of the State Emergency Service dismantled 65% of the debris. They removed 170 tons of destroyed elements of the building. The work is ongoing," Tymoshenko added.
As of 8:00 p.m., rescuers reported that they had pulled out the bodies of 31 dead people from under the rubble.
The General Staff informed that the Armed Forces inflict losses on the enemy in all directions where hostilities are ongoing.
The enemy is concentrating its main efforts on establishing final control over the Luhansk region.
In the Slobozhansk direction, the enemy is trying to hold the occupied lines and prevent our troops from advancing to the state border.
About the situation in other directions - in our news.
According to preliminary data, three people were killed as a result of the shelling by the Russians of a shopping center and houses in Kharkiv with multiple rocket launchers.
More than 30 people were injured.
In the evening of July 11, the Russians launched another missile attack on Odesa.
According to the head of OVA Maksym Marchenko, there were no casualties.
Serhii Bratchuk, the spokesman of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, added that the Russian Federation had fired two missiles over the region.
Ukrainian forces are confidently advancing in the south of the country . Over the past two days, it was possible to destroy about a dozen of the enemy's barrel artillery and rocket salvo systems.
The destruction of command posts and logistics centers with ammunition and fuel and lubricants, as well as the occupiers' manpower, continues, Natalya Humenyuk, head of the United Coordination Press Center of the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine, said at the briefing.
"The situation in the southern region remains steadily tense. The advance of our troops is taking place, but it is slow. But it is sure. The announcement of our successes will be made when the consolidation takes place," she said.
According to the Commissioner Oleh Kotenko, more than 7,000 military personnel are considered missing in Ukraine.
"If we are talking about the military, let's understand who the military are. There is the Armed Forces, there is the National Guard, there are border guards, there are the SBU, and these are different institutions. They are not included in the figure given by the Armed Forces. The Armed Forces provides data on 2,000 missing military. Our call center has approximately 7,200 people," Kotenko said.
He added that most of the missing soldiers are in captivity.
Due to the law on oligarchs, Akhmetivska SCM is leaving the media business.
Media Group Ukraine will give up all broadcast and satellite television licenses and print media licenses in Ukraine in favor of the state.
The Akhmetiv media holding includes 10 broadcast and satellite television channels, including "Ukraine", "Ukraine24", "Football1/2/3", as well as the multimedia platform "Today" and other resources and print media. According to Akhmetov, the total amount of investments invested in this media holding exceeded $1.5 billion.
The consequences of this decision for the domestic media market can be very serious.

Some do, Chris. I never bothered. The vicious idiots reveal themselves soon enough — as we see here at Rantburg — and the rest are just people. When we moved back to the States we were pioneering integrators to our historically white, Christian (about half and half Protestant and Catholic) suburb. In most of their classes the trailing daughters were one of the two Jewish kids. As it turned out, the teachers were excited to have me come in to talk about Hanukkah as a subject matter expert, the kids came up to me years later to tell me how they enjoyed telling their friends what they’d learnt, the librarian appreciated the books and teaching kits I donated, and mothers would call me to politely ask about this or that question about Jewish beliefs or history that they’d long wondered about. Nobody was ever even slightly rude to me, and when my mother was honoured at the Memorial Day parade one year by the the local VFW chapter as a Holocaust survivor, people came running up to her afterward just to shake her hand.
Yes, Jew hate is fashionable again, which is why Aca Joe is so smug about it, but those with insight and understanding don’t fall for such nonsense.
[Newton County Appeal] So, you think a gallon of gasoline is expensive?
This is what it costs to buy a gallon of....
Diet Snapple, 16 oz. for $1.29 = $10.32 per gallon. Lipton Iced Tea, 16 oz. for $1.19 = $9.52 per gallon. Gatorade, 20 oz. for $1.59 = $10.17 per gallon. Ocean Spray, 16 oz. for $1.25 = $10.00 per gallon.
Pint of milk, 16 oz. for $1.59 = $12.72 per gallon. STP Brake Fluid, 12 oz. for $3.15 = $33.60 per gallon. Vick’s NyQuil, 6 oz. for $8.35 = $178.13 per gallon. Pepto Bismol, 4 oz. for $3.85 = $123.20 per gallon.
Whiteout, 7 oz. for $1.39 = $25.42 per gallon. Scope, 1.5 oz. for $0.99 = $84.48 per gallon.
And this is the REAL KICKER...
Evian water, 9 oz. for $1.49 = $21.19 per gallon!
$21.19 FOR WATER!!!
You get the idea?? So next time you are at the gas pump, be glad your car doesn’t run on NyQuil, or Scope or Whiteout or even water.

People do not inculcate the true value of a gallon of gasoline. Think of the $5.50 per gallon you pay for it this way. A gallon of this liquid will move your car at least (reasonably speaking) 20 miles along the road for that $5.50. Now imagine being asked to physically push your car 20 miles farther down the road. You bet your life you'd be demanding far more than $5.50 to do that work. Pushing your car 20 miles is a hell-of-a-lot of effort. Far more than 90% of humans would be even capable of doing. In fact for most humans it would take multiple days in order to push that car 20 miles. The BTUs encapsulated into that liquid is totally under appreciated. Gasoline will still be "valuable" even when its up around $100 per gallon. For those unfamiliar with oil, its NOT proven reserves, NOR is it production rates that really determines its market value, its the hidden "depletion" rate of "currently known" reserves that is kept undisclosed from the public eye that determines where future price trajectories lie. I recommend everyone becoming more familiar with the 2nd law of Thermodynamics. Entropy is highly under-appreciated. Its what underlies our understanding of what we often describe as "civilization."

Price in 1964 was approx 0.25$/gal. Melt value of a pre '65 quarter (90% silver) is approx $3.44 @ $19.00/oz silver presently. Silver is running a bit below the recent averages. If you go with $24/oz that quarter would be worth about $4.34.

I must be older than a few of y'all.
My gas cost 16.9 cents (GA) in 1969-70.
I used to walk the ditches picking up soda bottles all after school for the 2 cents return deposit. For my well used and bondo'ed to hell and back Ford Falcon 1963 6cly with a large big seat ☺
Which was used for Friday night date night, driving/parking and $1 for 2 hamburgers and a Large Coke.☺
Using a popular website inflation calculator.
What was 16.9 (17 cents) then for gas, today, should only be paying $1.26 a gallon
What was 12 cent for a tall Coke in 1970 should only be $0.89
Overall, I walk away having read the Hendrix article thinking the LSD's know Gas prices are killing them in the Voter Polls. So deflect the facts with unrelated facts.

The fallout from all of this is going to be a disturbing note in human history. We as a race need to understand the ramifications of our actions and over reactions. We raced a vaccine to market around all the safeguards we had in place. Now we are living with myocarditis, sudden teen deaths, sudden adult death, micro clots, child seizures, adult immune disorders, and the psychological problems associated with kids being locked down, let alone the economic impacts of these bad decisions. Now the truth is finally out there that all these measures were an overreaction and driven by greed and opportunism.

India rising, China falling — the future belongs to those who show up.
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news]
2030, the world's population will reach 8.5 billion and by 2100, 10.4 billion ...or somewhat less, given how many countries have been overcounting their populations...
Population growth was growing at its slowest pace since 1950, estimates show
India's population was 1.21 billion in 2011 and will now surpass China at 1.4 billion
In 2021, the average fertility of the world's population stood at 2.3 births per woman over a lifetime, having fallen from about 5 births in 1950
Global fertility is projected to decline further to 2.1 births per woman by 2050
Researcher questions China's population data, says it may be lower
Dec 3, 2021
[Reuters] China may be downplaying how fast its population is shrinking, and a recent policy to promote three-child families has poor chances to improve birth rates, a fertility expert told the Rooters Next conference on Friday.Fuxian Yi, senior scientist in the obstetrics and gynecology department at the University of Wisconsin, said he estimated that China’s 2020 population was 1.28 billion rather than the 1.41 billion census number reported and that fertility rates were lower than reported.
Yi estimates that China's population has been shrinking since 2018.
China’s government did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The country's rapidly shrinking birth rate has raised concerns of slower economic growth and the potential challenges created by fewer workers supporting an older population.
Beijing scrapped its decades-old one-child policy in 2016, replacing it with a two-child limit to try to stave off those risks. In May a three-child policy was announced as the birth rates continued to drop given the high cost of raising children in Chinese cities.
China had a fertility rate of just 1.3 children per woman in 2020, recent state data showed, on par with aging societies like Japan and Italia and far short of the roughly 2.1 needed for replacement level.
Yi estimates that the real fertility rate is much lower based on a drop in fertility rates over the years by China’s ethnic minority groups which were not restricted by the one-child policy, and he calculated the population based on his own lower estimate rates.
Yi said local governments overstate their population to obtain more subsidies, including education fees they collect from the central government. He said that with over 20 social benefits linked to a birth registration, some families were using the black market to buy a second birth certificate online.
"The population numbers have been inflated mainly for financial benefits," Yi said.
#2
From the demographic data from multiple sources I've seen, the birthrates are so terrible in most countries the world population will peak around 9 billion mid-century, then slowly drop back to 7 billion in a century after that. There simple aren't enough people to keep the population up.
If global famine and war take hold in the next few years, expect that number to drop even faster.
It's true that there are more potential parents than ever before. And the American population has soared to over 330 million.
But our population is radically leveling off.
In just 14 years the fertility rate has crashed from 2.12 to 1.64 – meaning that both citizens and resident aliens in America are not replacing themselves.
While past demographic momentum has led to an all-time population high, the United States has already peaked demographically. And it will soon shrink and further age.
Thirty years ago, America had 80 million fewer people, but a quarter-million more annual births.

Why? They're just letting those counterparts in through the border. Simple supply and demand. Excess labor reduces the demand and wages. Those with technical skills, heck no problem, loads of 1HB visas.

[DW] Fingers were pointed to the church as the alleged shooter of former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe had said the church drove his mother into bankruptcy.
The Japanese branch of the South Korean Unification Church acknowledged on Monday that the mother of the man arrested for the shooting of former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was indeed a member, but said that neither the suspect himself nor Abe had been.
Abe was shot on Friday during a campaign speech in western Japan by who the police identified as a 41-year-old unemployed man who had previously been part of the country's navy.
The alleged shooter told police that he had targeted Abe because he believed the former prime minister had promoted a religious group to which his mother had made a large donation, driving her into bankruptcy.
"Trying to understand how such hatred may have possibly led to the killing is totally perplexing," the head of the church, Tomihiro Tanaka, told news hounds in Tokyo.
While denying that Abe was a member, however, he said that the former prime minister had supported the church in promoting peace.
WHAT IS THE UNIFICATION CHURCH?
Japanese media had pointed to the church, known fully as the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification
The church was founded in 1954. Its founder, the self-declared messiah and ardent anti-communist from South Korea, Sun Myung Moon also ran a business empire.
Critics have long called the church a cult and questioned where its financing comes from.
Abe, the longest-serving prime minister in Japan's history, attended an event held by an organization with connections to the church last September where he gave a speech praising that organization's work in promoting peace in South Korea.
DONATIONS SCANDALS
Church head Tanaka confirmed that some people make generous donations, but on a voluntary basis.
"The amount of donations is up to each individual,'' he said. "We are grateful to those who give large donations, but nothing is required."
He acknowledged several scandals related to donations in the past but said there had not been any problems since measures were set up in 2009.
A spokesperson for the church said that it has around 300,000 followers in Japan and up to 200,000 in South Korea. Its appeal in Japan has attracted celebrities as well as the attention of politicians who seek to court its influence.
[Rudaw] Moslems in the Ukrainian capital came together to perform Eid prayer on Saturday morning, praying for a lasting triumph for their country that continues to be locked in a war with Russia for five months now.
A large number of Moslems living in Kyiv are those who abandoned homes in Crimea in 2015 and sought shelter in the Ukrainian capital following the Russian takeover of the southern region.
"I hope this war will end as soon as possible. I have six sons and the eldest among them is a Ukrainian army soldier. All we wish is for this war to end," Anas Abu Warda, a Paleostinian man who moved to Ukraine 30 years ago, told Rudaw on Saturday.
Around 1.5 million Moslems live in Ukraine, 500,000 of which are from Crimea... 300,000 from Azerbaijan and the rest are from the Arab countries, Iran, Uzbekistan, Pakistain and the African countries.
"Around 1.5 million Moslems live in Ukraine, 500,000 of which are from Crimea... 300,000 from Azerbaijan and the rest are from the Arab countries, Iran, Uzbekistan, Pakistain and the African countries," Emad Abu Alrub, member of Cabinet of Ministers Council for religion, national minorities, and education said.
Hamza Issa, 48, moved to Ukraine from Paleostine in 1992 to pursue higher education in the eastern European country. He is now a surgeon. The father of eight moved to Kyiv from Donbas in 2014 following escalations.
Moslems in Kyiv slaughtered 250 sheep and 55 calves to be given to 5,000 destitute and needy families in Kyiv oblast, according to Issa.
Russia’s invasion of Ukraine began on February 24. The Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) on June 7 said over 4 thousand non-combatants were killed and more than 5 thousand others were maimed as a result of the conflict across Ukraine.

One of the family members of the seven kidnapped passengers of the Abuja-Kaduna train recently released, says over N100 million was paid to faceless myrmidons for each before they were released.
The faceless myrmidons on Saturday released the victims after spending over 100 days in captivity.
On March 28, a train on its way from Abuja to Kaduna was attacked by terrorists. Several persons were killed, dozens injured, while others were kidnapped.
Eleven of the kidnapped passengers had earlier been released in June.
The newly-freed passengers are Muhammad Paki, Bosede Olurotimi, Abubakar Zubairu, Alhassan Sule, Sadiq Ango Abdullahi, Aliyu Usman and Muhammad Abuzar Afzal, a Pak.
"It’s so sad, each family paid over N100m each, they were not just released. Now they demanding N100m for others.
"We had no option but to pay after they (kidnapped passengers) were abandoned by the government," the source told SaharaReporters.
There are 43 more victims of the train incident being held captive by terrorists.
[NYPOST] Sri Lanka’s parliament will elect a new president on July 20, its speaker said on Monday, after protesters stormed the residences of the current president and prime minister, who have both offered to quit amid an economic meltdown.
President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, who had overseen a ruthless crushing of the Tamil Tigers snuffies as defense secretary, is set to resign on Wednesday. His brothers and nephew earlier quit as ministers as Sri Lanka began running out of fuel, food and other essentials in the worst crisis since independence from Britannia in 1948.
Parliament will reconvene on Friday and will vote to elect a new president five days later, Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena said in a statement.
"During the party leaders’ meeting held today it was agreed that this was essential to ensure a new all-party government is in place in accordance with the Constitution," the statement added.
"The ruling party has said the prime minister and the Cabinet are ready to resign to appoint an all-party government."
Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, whose private home was set alight by protesters, has said he will step down. His office said Rajapaksa had confirmed his resignation plans to the prime minister, adding that the cabinet would resign once a deal was reached to form an all-party government.

[CFP] A Bill Gates Foundation supermarket in the Netherlands that focuses on new-age foods like plant protein meat has spontaneously caught fire in the middle of the night.
While a distribution center operated by a Dutch online grocery service was destroyed in a fire in the eastern Netherlands, the facility was not a factory that produced meat alternatives, nor was it owned or operated by Gates. The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Trust invested in the e-grocer in 2021, but the trust is not a controlling shareholder, the gates foundation is a very minor investor,

[Facebook] Tomorrow we are going to a very interesting place.
A family inherited a farm in Kurland, by the family legend, after the battles, when family returned in 1945, yard was all full of big unexploded ordnance and the only way for the farmer to get rid of that was to dump it all in a huge bomb crater and cover with ground. On top of that was planted an apple tree, so no one will dig there.
The family which inherited the place want to develop the yard, apple tree was cut down and they contacted the police on the matter of unexploded ordnance under that tree. Police replayed that they can not help on the matter, as the ordnance is not yet found. After a moment police gave a call and told to contact Legenda Military Archaeology/Latvia, told that these are the only guys who can help on the matter. Therefore we are hearing out tomorrow to see what's there.
In that place should be another crater full of steel and might be buried around a dozen soldiers. Such craters in the yards of farms were found by us before, photos below show one crater like this from two years ago, human remains, horse, parts of T-34, unexploded ordnance and other war rubbish.
Hopefully tomorrow there will be good enough cell coverage and we would be able to do a LIVE stream in less than 24 hours.

...I'm a member of several eastern Europe/Baltic military archaeology pages on Social Media(TM) - it is stunning to see how many finds are still popping up on a regular basis. The fighting and devastation were almost uniformly so bad that when it was over there was sometimes little or no organized effort to ID the lost or clear things up - piles were often shoved into holes or ravines, and that was that.
Without exception (on the pages I see, anyways) these groups are very respectful in identifying and handling any remains, no matter what side they were on.
[National Review] The Secret Service confirmed Monday that it is aware of reports that the contents of Hunter Biden’s iCloud account were hacked over the weekend, exposing alleged texts, pictures, and videos of the president’s son doing drugs and engaging in other salacious and likely illegal activities.
4chan users claimed they hacked Biden’s phone late Saturday night, posting pictures to the website’s main political forum, according to the Washington Examiner. Many of the posts were taken down by the website.
The Secret Service said they are "aware" of the "social media posts and claims" about Biden, but are not in position to "make public comments on potential investigative actions," in a statement to National Review.
One video purports to show Biden measuring the amount of crack he had while in conversation with a prostitute.
Another alleged video shows Biden going down a water slide naked, and texts allegedly revealed show Biden claiming that President Joe Biden was in possession of five guns in 2019, despite campaigning on gun control.
Many of the files posted by 4chan were already found on Biden’s abandoned laptop via an iPhone XS backup, according to the Washington Examiner.
Former Secret Service agent and cyber forensics expert Konstantinos "Gus" Dimitrelos previously told the outlet that the contents of the iPhone are authentic.

I don't think Big Mike wants to make that much effort, but being the Most Powerful Black Woman in the history of the world does have a certain appeal, and it will make the white people go nuts. So if they sell her on the idea of the campaign and election being delivered on a silver platter....

Surveillance footage from an AMPM gas station in Roseville caught the moment
The amount that the unsuspected driver ended up paying for remains unclear
The suspect, who was wearing a black windbreaker, remains unidentified
He switched out nozzles and walked in between pumps with no other cars around him before the unsuspected driver's arrival
He then goes back to his black Mercedes and observes the other driver filling up his car with the wrong nozzle, while pretending to be filling up his own car
Similar tacks to steal gas across the country have been reported due to a spike in prices
The average price of gas is staying above $4 in all 50 states - and in California, the price exceeds $6 a gallon, while in New York, the price is almost $5

In addition to whatever punishment the court issue, the Mercedes driver should also be made to pay for the hapless driver gas for the next year or so.

[REGNUM] After the loss of Tsaritsyn, Denikin turned to Pilsudski with a letter in which he spoke of the need to start a new period in the history of Russian-Polish relations:
“Having once met with a feeling of complete satisfaction the turn of Russian policy towards the recognition of the national rights of the Polish people, I believed that this turn marks the oblivion of past historical mistakes and the union of two kindred peoples. But I was wrong. On this difficult day for Russia, you Poles are repeating our mistakes to an even greater extent. I mean the desire to occupy purely Russian lands, not justified by the strategic situation; the introduction in them of a government that denies Russian statehood and has the character of Polonization; finally, the plight of the Russian Orthodox Church both in Poland and in the Russian lands you have occupied. It is perfectly clear to me that it is precisely now that the foundations are being laid on which international relations will be built for many years to come. And our current mistakes will be paid for in the future with abundant blood and people's impoverishment to the delight of the enemies of the Slavs. There is no need for me to prove to you that the policy of the Polish government, incomprehensible to Russian society, can give very serious support to the Germanophile trend, which previously had no basis in our country. I have no doubt that if such a trend ever prevailed, it would be fatal for the Polish Republic. This cannot be allowed. Meanwhile, the eastern Polish army, successfully advancing against the Bolsheviks and Petliurists, in the days most difficult for the Russian troops, for about 3 months, stopped the offensive, allowing the Bolsheviks to transfer up to 43 thousand bayonets and sabers to my front. that the policy of the Polish government, incomprehensible to Russian society, can give a very serious support to the Germanophile trend, which previously had no basis in our country. [Vesti] Russian troops are already experiencing problems with the supply of ammunition
Russian troops are trying unsuccessfully to "squeeze" the Lugansk region, but they are daily held back by Ukrainian defenders. This was announced by the head of the Lugansk OVA Serhiy Gaidai.
According to him, enemy warehouses in the deep rear continue to burn. Some detonate for several days, and the invaders are already experiencing problems with the supply of ammunition. The logistics of the Russians are broken.
"The Luhansk region is holding back the Russians from attacking the cities of the Donetsk region. The so-called "operational pause" of the Russians is their helplessness, as a result of "pops" in the warehouses," Gaidai noted.
The head of the Luhansk OVA added that people in the occupied territories want to leave en masse, but there are no ways to do it safely, and not everyone decides to travel through several countries.

Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have invaded First Baptist Church, Nekede in Imo State and kidnapped Mrs. Bola Abioye, the wife of the General Manager of Imo State Zoological Garden and Wildlife Park, Mrs. Bola Abioye.
SaharaReporters gathered that the hoodlums who were in police uniform drove a grey-coloured Toyota Sienna minivan to the church.
The incident happened on Sunday, around 1:30 pm when the church was about to dismiss service.
The assailants were said to have shot indiscriminately to scare people.
Narrating the incident to Daily Post, a congregant who identified herself as Dr Blessing, said the church had just concluded thanksgiving and congregants were members were heading to the car park to drive out to the venue prepared for merriment when the button men struck.
He said, "The church had just dismissed so everyone was heading to the car park with the intention to go to the home of the member, only for an ash-coloured Sienna vehicle to drive in shooting sporadically.
"The abductors who wore police vests were shooting right there at the car park. They first dragged a woman but after some seconds, one of them shouted it’s not this one.
"Before they went to drag Mrs Abioye shooting directly to scare people away. Though she tried to resist, there was so much commotion. And within minutes, they drove off still shooting."
Efforts made by SaharaReporters to get the reaction of the Imo State Police Command were unsuccessful as the mobile line of the front man, Michael Abattam, failed to connect.
He also did not reply to a text message sent to him.
Meanwhile, ...back at the palazzo, Count Guido had been cornered by the banditti... he told to some journalists earlier, saying the command was yet to get information on the incident.

Just a year and a half into his first term, Mr. Biden is already more than a year older than Ronald Reagan was at the end of two terms. If he mounts another campaign in 2024, Mr. Biden would be asking the country to elect a leader who would be 86 at the end of his tenure, testing the outer boundaries of age and the presidency. Polls show many Americans consider Mr. Biden too old, and some Democratic strategists do not think he should run again.
...
He often shuffles when he walks, and aides worry he will trip on a wire. He stumbles over words during public events, and they hold their breath to see if he makes it to the end without a gaffe....
The Times wants Biden out of office. They want him gone. Period. His age, dementia, failures, jaw-dropping incompetence, and growing unpopularity...

As I just commented in another post; this is simply more evidence that the White House and Biden administration is a collection of 'B Movie' actors performing on a very expensive Pinewood Studios set. The actual decision making and the running of the country is conducted elsewhere.
It's a very bad cover story, getting terrible reviews and approval ratings. Whomever is in charge is well aware that it must soon be replaced.
And yes, as Airandee has indicated, the NYT is indeed a 'communication arm' of the deep state.

Exclusive investigating from me w/@HannahNighting: A radio host for far-left Portland station @KBOO allegedly kidnapped a child & raped her. His various social media accounts that I uncovered expressed graphic pedophilic sentiments. https://t.co/UZo8OysiZ8
Following the disappearance of a Canadian child last month, a 40-year-old Portland ...a formerly lovely city in Oregon, governed by an unholy alliance of communists, anarchists, and incompetents. In 2017 the city was named as the fifth most business-friendly in the nation. It took only three years for the city to degenerate to the point where it became a national embarrassment, with antifa and Black Lives Matter bullying taxpayers and occasionally shooting one as an example to the others... -area man and radio host on the left-wing station, KBOO, has been arrested for child trafficking and child rape.
Noah Whitefield Madrano, of Gladstone, Ore., allegedly kidnapped a 13-year-old girl from Edmonton, Alberta. She was reported missing by her family on June 24 after never showing up for school and was finally discovered in an Oregon City hotel room more than a week later by local police and agents with the FBI ...Formerly one of the world's premier criminal investigation organizations, something for a nation to be proud of. Now it's a political arm of the Deep State oligarchy that is willing to trump up charges, suppress evidence, or take out insurance policies come election time... . Oregon City is about 12 miles south of Portland.
Madrano is currently being held on a $500,000 bond in Clackamas County, Ore. on felony charges of first-degree sexual abuse, second-degree rape and second-degree kidnapping.
Madrano used male, female and nonbinary pronouns and the monikers, "Bud Jackson," "NoMad" and "Noah Zark."
At a bail hearing last week, Clackamas County prosecutors said the girl was targeted and groomed "over the course of a year" before being kidnapped. They also accuse Madrano of making "threats to kill her and have sex with her dead corpse."
Until the publicity around Madrano’s arrest, he was a producer and co-host of the "Sub-Human Intellect Theater" (S.H.I.T.) monthly show at far-left self-described Antifa ...the armed wing of the Democratic Party... Portland radio station, KBOO-FM. The show’s other host is Karen Green, who has deleted all her social media accounts after the arrest of her co-host.
KBOO broadcasts far-left political content and one of its main membership programs is called the "Fight Fascism Power Pack" which gives donors a flash drive with access to content from violent mostly peaceful group Rose City Antifa and Portland Antifa members, Alexander Reid Ross and Shane Burley. (Rose City Antifa members were involved in assaulting TPM journalist Andy Ngo in 2019 and he is suing the group.)
After the child was found, she was taken to a local children’s hospital for evaluation, and has since returned home with her parents to Edmonton.
Madrano is also expected to face charges in Canada. He has a no contact order with the child and his Oregon indictment is scheduled for July 12.

My wife used to say the way to handle a child molester was to train a very large gorilla to like taking them from behind and put them in a cage to find out what it's like from the little kid's perspective.

Re #7. Reminds me of a joke's punchline "Death by Boomfa", where Boomfa is a gorilla.
[OneIndia] Two forces of Evil have been killed in an encounter with the security forces at the Wandakpora area of Jammu and Kashmir ...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there.... 's Awantipora on Monday.
The Jammu and Kashmir police said that the terrorist Kaiser Koka was killed in the encounter. The identity of the second terrorist was being identified at the time of filing this report.
The security forces also recovered arms and ammunition, incriminating material, including a US made rifle- M-4 Carbine. The encounter broke out days after the police and the Army arrested a hybrid terrorist
...an Indianism that means those not officially registered with any jihadi or jihadi-linked organization (madrassa, terrorist group, or ISI recruiter) but radicalised enough to carry out a terror strike and then slip back into routine life. Similar to Sudden Jihad Syndrome...
of the Lashkar-e-Tayiba. The terrorist identified as Mohammad Iqbal Bhat is a resident of Tilgam Payeen and was arrested at a checkpoint in the Kerri area of Baramulla. The police said that the terrorist was involved in providing logistic support and was in touch with Pakistain based forces of Evil Saifullah and Abu Zarar.

[Just the News] Many observers believe leaking this information is tied to the Biden administration's efforts to revive the 2015 Iran nuclear deal.
As President Biden prepares to visit Israel and Saudi Arabia next week, experts and former officials are warning that an often-overlooked issue risks undermining efforts to increase cooperation among U.S. allies in the Middle East.
That issue is anonymous U.S. officials consistently leaking information to the media about alleged covert Israeli operations against Iran, from targeted killings to explosions at nuclear sites.
"It's a sign of extraordinary incompetence and unprofessionalism from Biden and his foreign policy team," said Fred Fleitz, a former CIA analyst who also served as a senior staffer on both the House Intelligence Committee and the National Security Council. "It's outrageous they would leak this kind of information."
Unnamed officials recently told CNN that Israel has ramped up its covert attacks in Iran and is largely keeping the U.S. in the dark.
A month earlier, an American intelligence official leaked to the New York Times that Israel told Washington it was behind the assassination of top officer in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), an Iranian military force and a U.S.-designated terrorist organization.
The leak infuriated Israeli officials, who often share intelligence with American counterparts.
"It mainly harms trust," Ram Ben Barak, who heads the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee of Israel's parliament, said at the time.
"We have very many close relationships and a lot of cooperation between us, which all depend on trust, and when it is violated in some way then it damages future cooperation," he added. "I hope the Americans investigate the leak and figure out where it came from and why it occurred."
Former Israeli Ambassador to the U.S. Ron Dermer explained on the podcast "Diplomatically Incorrect" that the Biden administration seems to be trying to distance itself from Israel by putting the blame on Jerusalem and keeping Washington out of it.
"That's very disturbing because that would only encourage attacks against Israelis," he said. "The fear of potential American action against Iran or other actors, that actually deters aggression. For the United States to think they're going to stabilize the situation by distancing themselves from Israel not only endangers Israeli citizens and officials but it actually also makes the chance of an attack much higher."
Interpreting these leaks as a "message to Israel that the U.S. disagrees with the action that was taken," Derner said, "And essentially what that means is they are trying to curtail Israel's freedom of operation" to combat Iranian aggression.
Such leaks have been occurring for years, indicating the problem is entrenched within America's national security bureaucracy, not just among political appointees. During the Obama administration, anonymous U.S. officials told media outlets about Israeli military plans to strike Iran's nuclear facilities. During the Trump administration, officials confirmed Israel bombed Iranian targets in Iraq.
However, the leaks have been occurring with striking frequency since Biden entered office. Last year, for example, unnamed U.S. officials told the Wall Street Journal that Israel had been attacking several Iranian ships.
"This decreases trust," said Jason Brodsky, policy director of United Against Nuclear Iran. "I think it's irresponsible for any U.S. official to seek to implicate Israel in an attack in Iran using anonymous quotes in the media. Unfortunately, all too often, we have seen this tactic employed in the past, likely to express disapproval and send a message that Washington was not part of the operation."
These leaks, added Brodsky, risk "provoking Iran to retaliate against a U.S. ally in the region."

Many need to understand that everything is already planned in advance, and some things are already in motion including the possibility that Israel cease to exist as a country as we know today. “Peoples” or what is left can be repositioned, by sugar or by fire.
The way things are changing in the world.. make me think that I’m very lucky to have visited Israel few times, and it’s been scratched from my notes….

[AnNahar] Boosted by a new mandate in weekend elections, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida met Monday with the U.S.'s top diplomat, Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who delivered condolences over the death of influential former leader Shinzo Abe and reassurances of a strong bilateral alliance.
Kishida's governing Liberal Democratic Party and its junior coalition partner Komeito secured a solid majority in elections for parliament's upper, less powerful, chamber in a vote Sunday that was imbued with meaning after Abe was assassinated while campaigning Friday.
Abe's death imbued new meaning in Sunday's vote, with all of Japan's politicians emphasizing the importance of free speech and defending democracy against acts of violence. It also may have generated sympathy votes, with turnout around 52%, up about 3 points from the previous 48.8% in 2019.
The vote gave the LDP-led coalition 146 seats in the 248-seat chamber — far beyond the majority — and means Kishida stands to rule without interruption until a scheduled election in 2025. That would allow him to work on long-term policies such as national security, his signature but still vague "new capitalism" economic policy, and his party's long-cherished goal to amend the U.S.-drafted postwar pacifist constitution.
Advancement on changing the charter is now a realistic possibility. With the help of two opposition parties supportive of a charter change, the governing bloc now has two-thirds majority in the chamber needed to propose an amendment. The governing bloc already has secured support in the lower house.
Kishida welcomed the victory but also acknowledged that unifying the party will be a hard task without Abe, who even after resigning as prime minister in 2020 had led a powerful party faction. In media interviews late Sunday, Kishida repeated: "Party unity is more important than anything else."
He said responses to COVID-19, Russia's invasion of Ukraine and rising prices will be his priorities. He said he will also steadily push for reinforcing Japan's national security as well the constitutional amendment.
Kishida and senior party politicians observed a moment of silence for Abe at the party election headquarters before placing on the whiteboard victory ribbons next to the names of candidates who secured their seats.
On the final day of campaigning Saturday, party leaders avoided fist-bumps and other friendly gestures in close contact with the public — a sign of tightened security after Abe was shot on a city street by a man carrying a homemade weapon.
On Sunday, the suspect accused of his murder was transferred to a local prosecutors' office for further investigation, and a top regional police official acknowledged possible security lapses allowed the gunman to get close to Abe.
The suspect, Tetsuya Yamagami, told Sherlocks he acted because of Abe's rumored connection to an organization that he resented, police said. Some Japanese media identified the group as the Unification Church.
Oh? Interesting.
Abe stepped down two years ago, citing health reasons. He said he regretted leave many of his goals unfinished, including revising Japan's war-renouncing constitution that some ultra-conservatives consider a humiliation.
He was the grandson of another prime minister and became Japan's youngest prime minister in 2006, at age 52. The overly nationalistic stint in office abruptly ended a year later, also because of his health, prompting six years of annual leadership change.
He returned to the premiership in 2012, vowing to revitalize the nation and get its economy out of its deflationary doldrums with his "Abenomics" formula, which combines fiscal stimulus, monetary easing and structural reforms. He won six national elections and built a rock-solid grip on power.
In 2015, nationalist battalion Tornado was formed from a collection of released violent convicts, so bad that the Ukrainian Army was preparing to engage in combat with them, until they surrendered.
[RIA Novosti] Former commander of the national battalion "Tornado" Ruslan Onishchenko was released after serving seven years out of eleven, ex-deputy Igor Mosiychuk said.
"Ex-battalion commander "Tornado" Ruslan Onishchenko was released from prison. He spent almost seven years behind bars. <...> He was accused of torturing separatists and prisoners," the Strana.ua online edition quotes the text of his message.
The consideration of the case, in which there were 80 volumes, 111 witnesses and 13 victims, lasted almost two years, and on April 7, 2017, the Obolonsky District Court of Kiev sentenced the former fighters of the National Battalion: the Tornadists received 74 years in prison for all.
According to the prosecutor's office, Tornado militants are involved in serious crimes - "satisfaction of sexual passion in an unnatural way under the threat of violence", kidnapping and illegal detention, torture, incitement to suicide, extortion, robbery, robbery.
The unit was created by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in September 2014, and its ranks included militants from the Shakhtersk battalion disbanded for looting and crimes against local residents. At the same time, speaking about its dissolution, Interior Minister Arsen Avakov said that they "fought beautifully near Ilovaisk."
Onishchenko himself, before joining the ranks of the Tornado, had already served time twice.
