#1 Some would rather die standing than live on their knees.

If anyone apart from the totalitarian theocrats of Islam is at fault, it is the Western political class.

The West could have easily survived standing by unapologetically putting to death at least some of the wannabe enslavers.

One could say that is was "Operation Enduring Freedom" that dragged these people to their deaths while "Operation Infinite Justice" would have saved both lives and liberty in the West.
