Where he got the nickname "Golden Jet" - according to my Son-in-law, whose Mother grew up in Winnipeg.

#2 He was the Golden Jet before he jumped to the WHA for cash. They might have named the franchise after his nickname as a marketing ploy. I saw him in that league and he was still very good. By that time his golden mane had sort of degenerated into something akin to Friar Tuck with a mullet.

I never cared about hockey as a kid cause I couldn't skate for $#!t.

Then I went to school in the Boston area and.......

Jesus saves and Esposito scores on the rebound was beaten into me. I loved Ken Dryden for that reason. The arrogance of Bruins fans annoyed me.

#6 I played as a kid in the Cleveland area but I lacked a key element in my game - talent. We had an NHL team for a year and a half.

#8 Jpal I loved the Flames, remember I went to the playoff game against the Canadians, which at that time was longest fight in NHL history. it must’ve been 20 minutes and with all the beer that was thrown from the stands they had to have another stoppage for the zamboni to come resurface
