#3 I suppose their 100 years of humiliation isn't forgotten. Nor are the Opium Wars (which makes one wonder about the China-Mexico nexus and fentanyl).

The world is changing, and I can't say the US didn't shoot itself in the foot. While it is totally obsessed with Ukraine and transgender killers, the rest of the world is moving right along.

#4 The dollar having been the world's reserve currency since the end of WWII has created a worldwide demand for dollars and made it easy for us to finance the balance of trade deficits we're so addicted to.

This move to replace the dollar, if successful, has very serious ramifications for our balance of trade, inflation, and economy.

Hello, Janet Yellen! You got your Ph. D. in economics from Yale one year after I got my BA in economics from Yale. We had the same teachers and read the same books. Use what you actually learned to do something about this!!!
