#3 Back on the old old days of air travel, the Civil Aeronautics Board had a rule. If you had in your hand a issued ticket and the flight was canceled, the airline has to put you on the next available carrier going to the destination. Not just their aircraft, but any competitor's aircraft. Now some would try to weasel out of that, but all you had to do was ask directions to the CAB office at the airport and they'd trip over themselves to avoid that from happening.

Sorry, Pete, those days are past. You ain't going to get anything from Congress on this one. Congresscritters enjoy 'bump' privileges on their flights.
