#1 to get on the FTO list, the org has to be foreign, do terror stuff and pose a threat to US interests

shouldn't be too hard to designate Boko Haram

there are already 50+ orgs on the list now; about 70% are Islamic

#3 Given the list is maintained by the State Dept, once would expect all sorts of nonsense. However, according to the often interesting and sometimes factual Wikipedia, the non-Islamos are commies or violent nationalists like Sendero Luminoso, those wacky ETA Basques or the IRA:
FTO list. Color me surprised.
