If you look at the links on this page the stories have all been spiked by their respective news bureaus. I don't know if that is SOP after reporting a hoax, but I would think you would want some indication a story ran.

Update: The more I learn about the the weirder Ms. Dunn gets.

Look, this is a troubled individual. Maybe thats connected to her sexuality, or why she converted (though Ive known a lot of "Jews by choice" and in with a couple of exceptions they were quite mentally healthy - as much as other folks I know) Using this as an excuse for bashing Jews and/or gays is well, the kind of vileness we expect from the islamofascists and their sympathizers.

I said Ms. Dunn was weird a lawyer and a lesbian, and that is it. I linked to the Aztlan site bacuse it identified her as a lesbian, not because of my views. I used no disparaging terms at all.

And her sexuality IS open to criticism since it is in the public domain, but I didn't criticize it, I simply gave notice that she is lesbian and most likely psycho. The fact she staged a felony shows that in addition to her personal pecadilloes, she is a criminal

Do you really think the mere act of linking is homophobic? Are you heterophobic, yourself?

And I have news for you. I host one of the 14 mirrors for internet haganah, you prick. Maybe you should read a little closer what I am trying to say rather than ump to conclusions.

Look, if you disagreed with their views, but were just linking to them for a fact, you could have given us a disclaimer - people here do that even with sources like the BBC and the NYT. And this site was a helluva lot worse than those.

#8 You're like a bad door to door salesman. With all the other links I posted in this thread and elsewhere, you complain about one we agree we hate, but yet I need a disclaimer to indicate that link is unacceptable, even if it displays simple information?

I used the Azlatan link to demonstrate just what a psycho she is, and to point out her sexualty is indeed an issue.

Disclaimer: I absolutely did not know she was a lebian activist until I saw the information on the Aztlan site, so I must withdraw my claim I have dated women like this. I may have driven them to it, but never dated them. Disclaimer: The immediately preceding sentance was a joke.

#10 look bad, we already get a fair share of people in here who IMHO are pretty fringie rightists. From the Nuke Mecca crowd, to the anyone whos ever voted Dem is a Commie fag crowd, to the hispanic immigrants are destroying our way of life crowd. Now I'll accept that thats part and parcel of the territory, and I WONT go around protesting every time someone links to say LGF, despite my feelings about them. But a link to an overtly antisemitic site, even by someone whos not antisemitic, hell even by a Jew, is opening a door. I understand why you did it and dont hold it against you, but I think its worth being vigilant.

LH, if you are going to judge others, the least you could do is reach appropriate conclusions. What escapes your paranoid brain is that Badanov did not write the material in the link. An Hispanic wrote the material for other Hispanics to read, presumably because it was on an Azlatan site, and yet you say nothing about the writer. Instead you accuse Badanov of crazy things whereas all he did was use the link as a source for information it contained about the professor. Anyone with half a brain would realize that was his purpose. And by the way, Badanov was not being "homophobic" when he said that the professor was playing for the other side...Badanov was trying to be funny...like in ha, ha, wink, wink, wink...people can make jokes without having "evil intentions." It's called having a sense of humor. Not all of us want to go thru life without cracking a smile now and then.

Regarding putting in "disclaimers" whenever we post a link...are you intending that all us posters follow some kind of LH-inspired Chicago Style of Writing on this board? Fyi, sometimes articles from the NYT and Wash.Post have bits of info that raise good discussion points and this is a political discussion board for independent thinking, is it not? I'll be damned if I start following your authoritarian "disclaimer" rules. If people are not smart enough to figure out the intent of an article by themselves, than they should stick to boob tube watching not political discussion forums.

I like Charles Johnson. He is passionate about the WoT, and he has gotten a bad rap from moral preening leftists in recent months, all of it undeserved, in my opinion. He posts articles and he reaches common sense, moral conclusions in his editorial remarks. He basically says, here is what is happening, I think it sucks but you get to comment.

In fact the only thing issue I have with him ( and this may well get me banned from LGF ) is he needs a haircut. ;o)

#16 Those "Aztlan" people are the Hispanic version of the KKK, badanov. If they told me the sun was to rise tomorrow, I'd stock up on flashlight batteries, just in case. Therefore I would take anything they said about anybody with a substantial dose of salt, even if her sexual orientation was relevant to the discussion, and I don't see how it is.

LH, you could've just noted that the website's beyond flaky, you didn't have to go into a big song and dance about anti-Semitism. Not here. We get it.

Can y'all calm down. Please reread post number 4. I didnt call badanov Antisemitic or homophobic. Please quote me where i did. I did say the SITE was, which I stand by. I also said we dont need links to such sites - which as a general rule I stand by. We dont. The site is vile, whether its aimed at hispanics or anyone else. Im sorry if my smartass remarks went overboard, but im hardly the only person here to get emotional.

Feel free not to disclaimer things if you like, but my general assumption when someone links to a site without disclaimers is that they consider such a site a reasonable source of information. Especially if its not a cite we regularly mention here. I dont think thats an unreasonable assumption - i cant read your mind, or remember all your opinions on everything, or what sites you help mirror. Each post must stand on its own, including the links it contains.

My point in mentioning them was to make it clear that Im NOT some kind of PC police attempting to impose "moderation" on this site. The site you linked to was quite different, as im sure you recognize.

The ONLY reference I could find relating to Prof. Dunn's 'activism' came from the Aztlan site. The article being the only reference to Dunn's activism i could find on the net was clearly written and posted to inflame prejudices.

I guess I should have been more careful in the posting of links. I knew Aztlan was one of the bad guys, and I know that oftentimes socialist organizations lie often to advance an agenda, and this appears to be the case here as well. I was drawn in and I posted bad info. I failed to double check the facts.

Funny the truth that comes out in lies. The entire speech is a classic example.
