#1 A terrible loss - I didn't even realize he was ill.

#2 Argh--it was bad enough to see the election results, but to lose a great author like this in the same timeframe is just excruciating.

#3 his book "State of Fear" depicted enviros as bad guys and/or dolts

#6 Just a great author. No one tied science to engaging storylines like this guy. I will miss his work, especially on cross-country flights. RIP Michael.
