#3 Of course, 17% is roughly 1/6. The population of Pakistan is 164,000,000. If the tribal areas are even 10% of that, that gives over 2 and 1/2 Million jihadis. So "only" 17% can be misleading.
Of course, this is not really a valid sample, given the methodology and other problem with the survey, but I'll bet that the number of at least potential jihadis in Pakistan is over several million.
