#2 That is a major problem. If we hold these people in a prison in some other country, that country becomes a target for attack by people who would want to spring those prisoners either by blackmail (let them out or we will bomb your capital) or outright springing them from prison.

If we bring them onto our soil, we risk legal complications. I can think of no better place to put them than gitmo. Unless maybe we have some old submarines we can use for brigs under the ocean someplace.

Why, it seems like just yesterday I sent a young man to make inquiries there. It was very, very complex matter. I didn't understand most of it.

#7 There is a really simple and LEGAL answer to the problem : simply apply the relevant portions of the Geneva Conventions and execute them as illegal combatants. The Geneva Conventions have VERY clear standards as to what constitutes legal and illegal combatants, and the Gitmo Boys absolutely fall into the ILLEGAL column.
