#1 I hold a favorable opinion of the former VP because he couldn’t give a rat’s ass if I hold a favorable opinion of him or not.

#2 I bet Cheney and Bush's favorable ratings continue to rise over time as the Obama administration gets bogged down by its broken promises, characteristic double-speak, overspending, and continued economic stagnation.

For all the "damage" wrought by the Bush administration, I think people are slowly beginning to realize that all things considered and given the challenges he was faced with, he actually did a half-decent job. Especially when it comes to the President's most sacred duty, keeping the American people safe.

#3 wait til the next attack on American soil. Bush and Cheney will be remembered fondly for their providing that safety after 9/11. Obumbles? Not so much, but at least we'll all find comfort under his confident smile and kind eyes, and moral superiority.

Cheney's speech today was a contrast with Oblahblah: one was petulant, defensive and condescending. Cheney's was calm, cool, adult

#4 Something else about Cheney to be remembered. He is not somebody you would want to seriously cross, at least if you were a foreign enemy.

#5 I admire Cheney. It this era of self-serving politics, he saw our country in danger and he responded the bst he could. We need more heros like him.

#6 Growing up a Western Republican (and remaining one to this day), Cheney is pretty much the perfect politician in my book.

As one blog suggested today, it would be interesting if they did a poll about who you'd want in charge during a big crisis, such as a killer asteroid hurtling towards earth.
Bet Cheney would fare better than his poll ratings.

Cheney might not be loved, but he is feared by our enemies.

#7 I love him....but in a straight guy buddy-sock-in-the-shoulder-way, not a bromance or anything. Cause his death squads might get jealous

#8 It helps to be right. Obumble is finding that being wrong erodes the Cult of Personality even with Newsweek and others kissing his ass -- people are starting to realize the emperor has no clothes.
