#1 From CDR Salamander, the commanding officer of the US Naval Academy, Admiral Fowler said "Diversity is my number one goal,"
Not warfighting skills, not ship handling, not leadership. No, his number one priority one priority is diversity.
When I used to work at a large corporation, my comment on diversity was "Sure, we have lots of diversity. We have lots of talented, technically savvy people. We also have managers to balance it out."

#2 I worked in a large corporation that championed diversity as a primary goal. Not great products, not increasing market share, not exceptional people, but diversity. I cashed out at ~$175/share when I left and they're sitting at a split-adusted $6/share ten years later. Welcome to the economics of diversity.

#4 I had a 4 day diversity training. It was like Divorce court with the additional crime that you're white and male. I never knew I'd oppressed so many people I didn't know. Unfortunately, it didn't take. My thought-crimes persist every time I see crime statistics, out-of-wedlock birth statistics, population estimates of illegals, ....etc.

#5 I got out of it by pointing out that I was married to woman of another race and my kids were mixed so anybody accusing me of racism who was from a single race unit would have an interesting discussion.
Nobody followed through with an "official" request for me in the training. In fact some Philippine friends told me I would never be permitted to take the course.
(Explaining to them how the ancestors of blacks had been slaves and they hadn't so were really not qualified to yell racism didn't help.)

#6 At this point, unless one actually indeed comes from a continual line of ancestors that were all from an unmolested Ruling Class since time immemorial, at some time, somewhere, in one's background some of one's ancestors had horrible existences as either slaves, serfs, indentured servants, religious heretics, prisoners, or maybe all five terrible categories at different times in history, who would have been toiling for free, or nearly free under tyrants.

Wah, affirmative action people, Wah, call yourself a Wah-ambulence if you find your minority status so debilitating.
