OTOH, I suspect one of the reasons RUSSIA was charged wid the missions/plan as per COMET APOPHIS was becuz it claimed to had discovered all those Space Rocks back in the 1990's + POTUS Clinton-era. PRAGMATICALLY, IMO the most likely scenarios for earth are:

To wit,

* ASTEROID-COMET EVENTS > E.G. its not absolutely necessary for a space rock to hit Earth to threaten, damage or destroy Earth [OLD DREAM/VISION > People looking up to see explosions on the Moon].

* SOLAR EXPANSION? > as due to PERT(S) MISCALCULATION OR MISINTERPRETATION OF "MISSING SUNSPOTS" + OTHER NATURAL SOLAR ACTVITIES.

"MISSING/LOW SUNSPOTS" > among other, means NATURAL SOLAR ENERGIES WIDIN SUN'S ENGINE are NOT being released, which in turn means are contained + building inside the Sun.

There is no strong consensus = unity among the Perts on how the SUN BEHAVED DURING EARTH'S PAST ICE AGES OR ITS GEOL "GREAT EPOCHS/EXTINCTIONS".

MSM-NET > Many Perts have repor claimed or argued that EARTH TEMPERATURES WILL, NOT MAY OR MIGHT, GET HOTTER IN FUTURE TIME [read, THE SUN].

* "ALIEN AUTOPSY" > notsomuch an autopsy of a de facto or true SPACE ALIEN, as a TIME-TRAVELING ALIEN-LOOKING "NORMAL HUMAN" [evolved] FROM EARTH'S FUTURE TIME??? Again, MSM-NET > "ALIEN TECHNOLOGIES" > various Perts claim or argue that alleged "Alien" Materials + Manufacturing-Assembly Processes, etc. of same ARE NOT UNKNOWN TO EARTH IN CONTEMPORARY OR REAL-TIME [read, IOW the AUTOPSIED "SPACE ALIEN" MAY BE DE FACTO "FUTURE HUMAN" AS DE FACTO UNKNOWN "SPACE ALIEN"]???

They've got TWO YEARS to refine, calc + re-calc, their best Formulaes Simuls + Models, etc, just as they have 20-27 YEARS as per COMET APOPHIS.
