#2 I can't really feel all that sorry for these three. Anyone with more than half a brain would stay away from Iran.

gorb, the three were in Iraqi Kurdistan. Iranian troops came across the border and kidnapped them. It's possible they were sold by their local guide.

#4 I was aware that Iran jumped the border to get to them. I thought Fattal was guiding them.

Were it me, I wouldn't have gone anywhere near the place. Sorta like not walking on the wrong side of the street.

I could imagine a guide taking them in the wrong direction and claiming it was somewhere safe, though.
