#2 China gave up their little red religious book as the be all and end all of political & economic & religious wisdom. They stopped beating their head agains that stone wall.

Muzzies, after 1400 years still believe that the little green book IS the be all and end all of political, economic & religious wisdom...they're wrong.

#3 The Chinese hit this one out of the park.

Since the Shia and the Sunnis are still killing each other in droves over who is supposed to succeed Mohammed...a death which occurred over 1200 years ago and are still upset over the massacres of the Crusades almost 1000 years ago, apparently they do look back too much.

AND as long as you use a holy book as the sum total of all learning in a culture, you're never going to have the chemists, physcists, engineers, or mathematicians necessary to assimulate today's technology except vicariously.

#7 Mo keeps the Muslim world back. Other religions have reformed. They keep applying the same old storyline and it is not working.
