#1 Yuuup.

But UKRAINE is historically also Russia's breadbasket for food, as well as for much of the rest of Eurasia.

Lest we fergit, much like its now the US-VS-CHINA-VS-NUCLEAR-ISLAM in Asia-Pacific, China is now also involved in the Ukraine brouhaha.

* VARIOUS > CHINA OFFERS NUCLEAR DEFENSE/SECURITY GUARANTEE TO UKRAINE.

#2 There was an article in Gates of Vienna that presents a quite different view Things Are Not What They Seem.

#3 g(r)omgoru, is that link suggesting another chapter of the teutonic vs. slav campaign? I just defaulted on the good guys winning because neither Obama or Occupy has farted a whisper - is this the I was for Hitler before he attacked Stalin deal?

Being stuck between a boar and a bear is not good, but is there a way to not join either? Ukraine has a strategic position both in energy (Russia/EU trade), food, and Black Sea?

Real question as I checked the morning news for info and found that puppies really are cuter after two glasses of champaign.

#5 p.s. If they overthrow the pro-Russian gov, Putin will cut of their gas (that why the current gov is pro Russian)

#6 IMHO its what Russia is going to do to the EU anyways in the long game - right government or no gas. They could just get their energy from...oh that's right, the EU chose to live off of windmills and tulips.

I'm sure Russia's obsession with the Black Sea has a part in it. Russia having a hand in Israel's energy field. The EU and Obama being the EU and Obama, kinda puts Ukraine in strategic and isolated.

I'm not agreeing with, but does it make sense for a Russian alliance - other than the memories of being in the Russian alliance?

Then there is Turkey over there, trying to pick a fight with Syria, who is allied with Russia.

Russia didn't mind rolling up Georgia not too long ago.

I'm guessing Ukrainian nationalist means not friend of Jews?

What a mess. After watching the grammys last night I do not see anything effective from the USA until 2018, if there is even an interested population.

#7 In the GoV article, there is a graphic in which the symbolism is identified except for "some unidentifiable beige object". That object would appear to be a Saracen helmet.

#9 Ukraine is also one of VladVedev's desired key energy links between Mama Russia + the EU.

* DEMOCRATIC UNDERGROUND > [ABC] WORLD'S FIRST "NUCLEAR CIVIL WAR" MAY BEGIN IN UKRAINE - SECURITY SERVICE OF UKRAINE [SBU] STATEMENT.

ARTIC = denotes that Ukraine has 15 NucReax in current operation, wid 4 not operating at Chernobyl.

VERSUS

* RIA.RU > RUSSIA WANTS MORE FTZS [Free Trade Zones] LINKING EU, MOSCOW-LED CUSTOMS UNION, aka
EurAsian Economic Union comprised of Russia, Belarus, + Kazakhistan.

HHHHMMM, HHHMMMM, + the China-shared SCO-CSTO???

FYI IIRC Beijing has officially denied recent MSM-Net Reports that it will set up to 12 new FTZS around the country, including in + around Pudgy-land NORTH KOREA???

#10 A problem, If Vlad cuts off gas, doesn't he also cut off food?

It takes gas to run tractors and combines.

See Holodomor holocaust - a very nasty piece of work the soviet union inflicted on the Ukraine before.

Holodomor: (Ukrainian: Голодомор, "Extermination by hunger" or "Hunger-extermination"; derived from 'Морити голодом', "Killing by Starvation")
