No savvy. Swedish chef? Anyway, when I think of hump day I think of spaghetti and meatballs... OT follows. As always, edit to taste.

On Odin's day, where folks forgot
To care what meat went in the pot,
In every corner poboy shop
You'd hear the eager cleavers chop,
Midst yelps and yowls and squeaks and squawks
From fruit of alleys, farms and docks,
And when the rusty grinders whined,
They'd grind up anything they'd find...
For 'twas the day when meatballs ruled
O'er subjects willing to be fooled.

So fat wop ladies stirred the pot,
And muthabastid, was it hot!
Enfin, the red aluminum gravy
Was fit to float a meatball navy:
Those dagos boiled the honours wavy
To crown a morn of kitchen slavery.
Pasta boiled and drained so quickly
Blew forth miasmic aether thickly:
'Twas something out of Dante's dream,
And the whole damned kitchen was clouded by steam.

Now swift they flew through Heaven's fringe --
Nor did their noodly spirits cringe --
Pale straggly strands swung to their fate:
Forked sideways on a styr'foam plate,
Where they would briefly wriggling wait,
White snakes on Miss Medusa's pate
