#2 I refuse to give our piel neuse Champ credit for that degree of long-term, strategic thinking. Smells like the efforts of the Brennan and his Foggy Bottom surrogates. Once Netanyahu confirmed the regime's Mooslim Broederbond linkages, the intelligence sharing probably suffered some significant downsizing. In the past the US Democratic Party had a captive NGO "cooperate' with Israel's Labor and other leftward parties during elections. Given that the Democratic President tends to be in charge of the Party, work of this sort tended to be off-stage, and generally supported by the Party politicians as long as it was.

However, the DNC is now monetarily bereft. Most of the Democrats in Congress were not (pre-election) and (post-election)are not willing to play the White House's game this time around.

That leaves the administration itself. And they're being a lot more clumsy and thuggish about it.
