#1 The "occupation" that Hamas in Gaza refers to is not the occupation of Gaza (which is non-existent) or of the "West Bank" but the occupation of Israel itself by Israel. So what purpose would surrender of West Bank territory to the terrorists serve, other than encouraging more terrorism?

#2 I seem to remember that Israel withdrew from Gaza not that long ago. Left them some nice greenhouses to make some money.

How'd that work out? Israelis seem capable of learning; the diplomatic community? Not so much.
