#4 So, that was OK? No. However, It’s not clear if these experiments worked seems not quite up to contemporary medical ethics (unless its Planned Parenthood).

#5 It’s not clear if these experiments worked ‐ though some preliminary reports suggest some of the various trials have had some success.

In other words, the cancers were not cured, but some of the patients were not killed or harmed by the procedure. While having no love whatsoever for the FDA as it currently functions, I stand with Procopius2k on this.
