The guidance kit is a great idea, Shrimp.
They'll need to re-engineer it for the higher speed and mass, so it's prob not ready yet.

#4 Double the range and now you have an area twice as large in which you have aquire the target. At what point will we see a return to large caliber howitzer and field cannon. At least in units that can be stationed father back. Or it what point will the Navy's work on electromagnetic coil guns bleed over into the Army's equipment. On top of that the Crusader Programs work on liquid propellants may come into play. Of course the bigger the gun, the slower the rate of fire etc.
