#9 Deer are tested for all kinds of diseases. CWD, Chronic Wasting Disease comes to mind, bluetongue, EHD, lice and ticks. Hunters try not to shoot an unhealthy looking deer, but sometimes it happens. State fish and game agencies are helpful in such matters. I suppose someone threw C19 into the mix for the heck of it.

#11 Deer tuberculosis is a thing in Michigan. That is why you can put corn out for the squirrels but it is illegal to put corn out for the deer.
