You really think so? The UN is full of islamics and quasi islamics now, policies and resolutions being decided in favor of them everywhere. The 'generous idiots' may not be idiots at all in fact. Who's to say the Emirate of Afghanistan was not an intended outcome all along? A new training ground for islamic terror with a refugee pipeline straight into the heart of western countries willing to adopt Afghans? There's this new islamophobia resolution now, for enabling islamics to propagate their pre-modern ways in all our cities without being called out. There is some new sympathy with Palestinians and Arabs everyday. March 15 is World Anti-Islamophobia Day now. I don't think this is idiocy. Idiocy is keeping the UN funded.
