#2 Putie-pie has pretty much all but guaranteed Sweden entering NATO with his bullshit and I would bet better than 50% odds on Finland joining later.

Putin was pretty clear about this in regards to Ukraine also, but apparently, no one took him seriously. Perhaps being non-serious people themselves, Team Brandon could no believe Putin actually meant what he said.

For the Russians, NATO membership for Sweden and Finland is undesirable, but it does not present the same threat as Ukraine in terms of being a prime invasion route.
