"French President Emmanuel Macron called Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki “an extreme-right anti-Semite who bans LGBT people.” In an interview with French daily Le Parisien, Macron also described as “shameful” comments by Morawiecki comparing the French president’s frequent phone calls with Russia’s Vladimir Putin to talking with Hitler.

The Polish premier earlier this week criticized Macron for achieving little in his discussions with Putin. “Mr. President Macron, how many times have you negotiated with Putin, what have you achieved? Have you stopped any of the actions that have taken place?” Morawiecki said at a press conference Monday. “One should not negotiate with criminals … Nobody negotiated with Hitler. Would you negotiate with Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot?”
