#1 I'm guessing this isn't their first "discussion"

#2 I'm a lifelong golfer, and yes, some of the clan get too wound up over non-golfers on the course. OTOH, I'm pretty much dog agnostic, but have had lots of trouble with "dog people" from time to time.

#4 Many years ago I was playing golf with some friends when we got to the 10th hole tee. There was a couple who were setting up a picnic in the middle of the fairway halfway to the green. When I pointed out this was a golf course and not a picnic ground the young woman said, "We are in this park and we have every right to be here". I then pointed to the actual park and told her that was the park. They refused to leave so we played through. When we got to the green and looked back the course manager was escorting them off.

Evergreen CO is in the mountains west of Denver, @8000 ft. Common course practice was to issue a bucket of range balls with each cart. The 10th hole was wide and long, like a mountain pasture.

On more than one occasion, range balls were used to startle and drive the elk herd from the green into the rough.

#6 Dog Walker should have been carrying a 1-Iron with him to hold up in case someone started shooting.
