#5 Manchin's state is one of the poorest in America. West Virginia ranks 45th in education, 47th in healthcare, 48th in overall prosperity and 50th in infrastructure.

Yeah, but Manchin's not the governor of West Virginia and California under Governor Newsom has numbers that look a lot like West Virginia's. I think if those two got into a presidential primary debate they would have a lot to discuss.

#6 Manchin's a far leftist who's doing the minimum necessary to keep his seat in a state Trump won by 40%. He is probably the only Democrat who could win a Senate seat in WV. The reason he hasn't switched parties? He's too left-wing for the GOP. He is far to the left of even the most left-wing GOP senator, Susan Collins. And WV is far to the right of ME.
