#1 The fire chief estimated there were 800 gallons of oil in the gearbox

The 'clean' wind energy is dependent upon (wait for it) fossil oil. Well, I guess we can always fall back upon whale oil.

#2 Let me see if I understand this correctly.
Wind Turbines are Earth ECO Friendly Tree Huggers answer to Fossil Fuels and nasty oil. But they use over 5000 gallons of that nasty earth hurting oil over their life expectancy in recommended service maintenance.

Plus, they are a Lighting Magnet.

FAILURE CHART of 1200 various location wind turbines, two of them are offshore

#3 It is my understanding that much of the wind turbine components and the solar panels are manufactured in China. Obviously we should establish total reliance on these environmentally sound systems.

#4 There's already problems disposing of used wind turbine propeller blades. Like solar panels, they have a lifespan that is not infinite.

#5 But I was told this is renewable energy! Didn't that mean the windmill will just re-grow after a while? All of this reality gives me a headache.

#6 You will always need lubricants, no matter what high falutin', earth savin', tree huggin' mission you're on. From oil for gearboxes to shafts and anti-rust to WD40 to the Vaseline for Pete Buttigieg's ass... you'll always need petroleum products.

#7 ^ Not to mention the chemical feedstocks that basically support all of modern civilization. Oh, I forgot. They don't want modern civilization any more...

#10 Thunk is the sound you will hear when reality blots out the leftists' fever dreams.

It's the sound of a body hitting the ground. It's the sound of a gallows trap door opening.

#12 The Wake Turbulence, if that is the correct term, is interesting.

In certain condition these things are noisy AF.
