#1 News Year's bombardment of a Russian battalion barracks in Makiivka. Two large multi-story buildings at a vocational school obliterated. Russians were warehousing explosive ammo w/ the troops and it detonated.

Reports of ~500 of the 600+ troops killed, including 3 high ranking officers. Trucks piled so high with bodies that bodies were falling of trucks and onto the streets.

#3 HIMARS attack on Pervomaisk city ~25km east of Bakhmut on PMC "Wagner" barracks with ~70 dead

Prigozhin is shown inspecting the damage. Russians claim it is a hospital but video shows rooms empty of any medical equipment. Looks like ex-hospital cleared out to make way for Wagner barracks/HQ.

#6 Ukrainian army was busy during NYE. Not only intercepting Russian missiles and Iranian drones.

Sadove and Davydivka also hit. Over 50 servicemen are reportedly killed.

Also Svatove ammo warehouse hit. Great Potemkin island (on Dnipro river) taken. Airbases in Berdyansk and Voronezh (Russia) attacked.

#7 Dale, it is no longer 2022. The initiative is no longer with Russian forces. The 500-600 Russian casualty estimates are from Russian sources, either local or bloggers. Photos of half dressed Russian dead spilled out from trucks onto Makiivka roads are on the net. I won't post it here.

To give you an idea of the size of the blast, this woman from Makiivka thinks the MLRS blasts are fireworks. Then the stored ammo explodes.

Every last one (600-700 reported) in that campus building is either dead or wounded. The Russian government has already admitted 63 dead. The Ukrainian government claims 400 dead, 300 wounded.

#8 Their morale was non existent to begin with. Every Russian soldier who sees another Russian soldier dead thinks "I want to go home." Every Ukrainian who sees his neighbors dead thinks "I am home. It's win or die."

#9 Girkin on Makiivka incident - hundreds of victims, many still under the rubble. The building where they were housed also contained an ammunition cache and vehicle storage, which is why the strike was so deadly.

In addition, was it a division headquarters? Would explain the initial reports of high ranking officers.

#11 Russian milbloggers say ~600 men mobiks were in the building. Rybar says a regiment HQ was there. All of them are casualties. The dead/wounded ratio is known to the Russians by now. Anyone not pulled out of the rubble by now is gone.
