The age of the prime recruit pool has for their entire life the US has been combat deployed. Well, other than that three months between Kabul and Ukraine.

They new recruits grew up hearing from the media about W's shit war for profit. Generational recruits maybe had a parent or both deploy, maybe multiple time. Some had combat experience. Possibly killed, or maimed and crapped on by the VA. Maybe like my high school buddy committed suicide by bottle. He left a wife and two daughters.

Trump is elected and the media starts downplaying patriotism again. Starts recruiting for real women and gays. Flag waving is for suckers is back on the menu. Island Boys.

And so after all that, the dog fucking of Kabul happens and new recruits are affirmed about the media's tales of W's profit wars, and the generational recruits are like WTF did my family go through, for this?

And no sooner than the wire transfers have cooled, talking nuclear war against Russia. In the meantime, recruitment and media make it clear that trannies are what it takes to make it in the military. And you don't have to get your covid shot, sort of, but if you don't you'll be mopping the rain off the parking lot as a career.
