The officers allegedly said that they had to detain and interrogate the survivors for two hours because "they had to make sure that you are not going to do what you are doing in Gaza over there."

So, British policy haven't changed all that much since the Mandate days - when they imported million+ Arabs into Palestine.

They game the system. Their polling is no different than political polling with rigged questions. They ask people have you ever been hungry? Everyone has been hungry sometimes. As recently as last year when I had to prepare for a colonoscopy. There are plenty of federal, state, and local programs, funding, and services that no one has to go hungry. Some still do because the systems of access or delivery are opaque to them.

As for the airdrops, much of it will end up on the local 'market' where the usual miscreants will profit off the people its intended for.

#16 Heh. Probably better than OLD C-rations like we got in RVN. I remember skimming the weevil corpses off the top of the cocoa. If it wasn't in a can, it had weevils. You can get used to anything.
