#1 According to Wikipedia, the doctorate is in Baptist ministry.

He’s right that for at least some people, homosexuality is a choice. For others, possibly not — it seems to me we don’t know enough about either biology or psychology to say definitively. Faith is often described as taking a leap exactly because it skips over the need for external proofs.

#2 Just two questions. Regardless of the metaphysics or "science" on the issue, is homosexuality necessary or essential to the continuance of the human race? Why does the left have a maniacal need to promote homosexuality?

#5 It is true that we haven't identified a gay chromosome. It is also true that no event identified that effects 'in the womb' to make a person gay.

Those facts do not, however, lead to the conclusion that homosexuality is a choice or that it doesn't exist.

Our knowledge of this subject is limited because human psychology is so complex.

#6 Just one question for me - why are all of the French post-Enlightenment philosophers (Satre, Balzac, Proust, Foucault) gay? Ima gonna say it's a Paris / Sorbonne thing, but what do I know?

#9 The 'born that way' argument is a double edged sword. If true, then it's potentially 'curable.' In other words, whatever is happening genetically or in the womb can potentially be altered to produce a different outcome.

#13 The Bible tells us it was going on way back when. After the Fall, all manner of unfortunate human behavior began and is with us still.

The argument that something has historically occurred is not a legitimate argument that it should occur.

#14 #12 There are a dozen of theories. My favorite one: heterozygote advantage. For example: if you have two gene alleles (one from each parent) for sickle cell, you die. But if you have one sickle cell allele and one normal - you're immune to malaria.
So, imagine (it's just a hypothesis) there are two different alleles in the same genetic locus: G & H. GG = gay. HH = hetero, GH makes you more attractive (possibly to both genders).

#18 It could be a variation of the grandmother theory that applies to later children in a family who get less investment in their raising than earlier children. Which would be consistent with it being conserved by social/genetic inheritance over generations, even though it is not helping either the grandmothers nor the later children.

But no one is saying that, so it is probably true.
