-Short Attention Span Theater-
Jihad's Fellow Travelers
There is a problem, however. It is that a depraved mass culture and multiculturalist indoctrination in state schools have already largely neutralized the sense of historical and cultural continuity among young West Europeans and North Americans. By contrast, the blend of soft porn and consumerism targeting every denizen of the Western world, every day from millions of flickering screens and printed pages, have not had the same effect on the Muslim diaspora in the West. The roll-call of Western-born and educated Muslims supportive of terrorism confirms that failure.

Fifth Column
"ex-CIA Analyst" Revealed To Be Serious Moonbat, No Mention By AP
(via LGF)

The Associated Press reports that Donald Rumsfeld was verbally assaulted by several moonbats yesterday, but the AP doesn’t think you need to know anything more about them: Hostile War Critics Confront Rumsfeld.

The gloss they put on radical leftist, Jew-hating creep Ray McGovern is especially shiny.
ATLANTA - Already under fire from some retired military brass who want him to resign, Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld was greeted at a speech in Atlanta by unusually hostile anti-war protesters.

“This man needs to be in prison for war crimes,” shouted Gloria Tatum, 63, of nearby Decatur, Ga., before being hauled away by security officials.

Ray McGovern, a former CIA analyst and noted critic of the war in Iraq, waited patiently in line to question Rumsfeld, then let loose.

“Why did you lie to get us into a war that caused these kind of casualties and was not necessary?” McGovern said.

Here are some previous LGF entries about this “noted critic of the war in Iraq,” to provide the context AP doesn’t want you to know:

lgf: Dems Stage Mock Impeachment.
The session took an awkward turn when witness Ray McGovern, a former intelligence analyst, declared that the United States went to war in Iraq for oil, Israel and military bases craved by administration “neocons” so “the United States and Israel could dominate that part of the world.” He said that Israel should not be considered an ally and that Bush was doing the bidding of Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon.

“Israel is not allowed to be brought up in polite conversation,” McGovern said. “The last time I did this, the previous director of Central Intelligence called me anti-Semitic.”

This little display of Bush Derangement Syndrome went so far over the line that even Howard Dean was forced to condemn it:

lgf: Not Quite a Flying Pig.
“We disavow the anti-Semitic literature, and the Democratic National Committee stands in absolute disagreement with and condemns the allegations,” Dean said in a statement posted on the DNC Web site. ...

Conyers’ event occurred in a small Capitol meeting room, and an overflow crowd watched witnesses on television in a conference room at DNC headquarters. According to Dean, some material distributed within the DNC conference room implied that Israel was involved in the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

One witness, former intelligence analyst Ray McGovern, told Conyers and other House Democrats that the war was part of an effort to allow the United States and Israel to “dominate that part of the world,” a statement Dean also condemned.

And then there are the radical left groups that McGovern is often seen partying with:

lgf: The Feeble Thrashing of the Marginal Moonbat.
An all-star moonbat tribunal composed of retired CIA analyst Ray McGovern, authors William Blum and Larry Everest, Code Pink, Mike Hersh (Progressive Democrats of America/After Downing Street), Kevin Zeese (Director, Democracy Rising; candidate for U.S. Senate in Maryland), Travis Morales (World Can’t Wait — Drive Out the Bush Regime) and others TBA, has announced an indictment of President Bush.

The Associated Press: giving you just as much information as they want you to have.

India-Pakistan
Who will stand up and speak for Islam?
By Khalid Hasan

Tarek Fatah, the bane of Canada’s large and on-the-march community of screaming clerics, which now includes the Dar-ul-Huda lady, Dr Farhat Hashmi, wants to know why Muslims in Pakistan, Lebanon, Syria, Nigeria and Egypt rioted, causing death and destruction to protest the Danish cartoons, have said not a word about the planned destruction of the home of the Holy Prophet (on whom be peace) by the Saudi government. This indeed is a puzzling question and no one has so far come up with an answer.

I thought the best person to ask this question was the one who had asked it first. A call to Tarek Fatah in Toronto, the city that Farhat Hashmi has chosen to sink her fangs into, had him saying that the Muslims of the world had suffered a collective loss of rational thinking. Since they have no faith in themselves or their future, they have sunk into their past, he said. “My feeling is that the Muslim leadership is almost universally bereft of any integrity or courage. Since the attack on the Prophet’s mother’s grave was carried out by the rich and powerful ruling house of Saud, no one will dare speak or protest. Had a Bangladeshi committed this act, the Mullahs would have been exhorting their congregations and madrassa pupils to take to the streets. But they dare not speak against those who butter their bread.” He argues, “It was easy going against the Danes and calling for a boycott of Lego and Danish cheese, but did anyone ask for a boycott of Microsoft, General Motors or other essential luxury American goods or services?”

KH Khurshid has recorded that the Quaid-i-Azam would get worked up when someone would talk about the glorious age of Islam. He would tell the person not to regale him with stories of Islam’s past glory. “What are you today?” he would ask. Today, the Muslim leadership, both clergy and politicians, is caught up in a medieval cobweb; the peasant in the village, the worker in the sweatshop, is a realist and his ideas are progressive. Recently, Fatah heard a Muslim leader in Toronto tell a gathering that the Muslims of India were in the sorry state they were in because of the Taj Mahal, which, he said, should be demolished since it was sinful to build such structures. God, he said, was punishing the Indian Muslims because they had allowed this wicked structure to stand on the soil of India for so long.

There is no dearth of Muslims in Pakistan, America and Canada who fervently believe that God punished us with the October 2005 earthquake because of our sins and for neglecting our religious duties. Had everyone prayed five times a day and had all the men let their beards grow and had all the women put on not the hijab but the niqab , divine punishment would not have been sent down. If you ask them what those thousands of flower-like children, who were buried alive in their schools, had done to earn divine wrath, you are told that the punishment was collective and some innocents also perished, but had their parents not been sinners, they would have been spared. What can you do with a mindset like that, except to hit your head into the first wall you come to?

But to return to the demolition of the grave of the Prophet’s mother, ironically it is the British newspaper, The Independent , and not one from a Muslim country, that has carried a report about this outrage. Daniel Howden’s story, published on 19 April, says that, “Previously unseen photographs reveal how religious zealots obsessed with idolatry have colluded with developers to destroy Islam’s diverse heritage.” He talks of a “growing shadow” being cast over Islam’s holiest site, as only a few metres from the walls of the Grand Mosque in Mecca, skyscrapers are reaching further into the sky, slowly blocking out the light. “These enormous and garish newcomers now dwarf the elegant black granite of the Kaaba. . . The tower blocks are the latest and largest evidence of the destruction of Islamic heritage that has wiped almost all of the historic city from the physical landscape. As revealed (in an earlier issue, the) historic cities of Mecca and Medina are under an unprecedented assault from religious zealots and their commercial backers.”

The correspondent writes that the Wahabis live in “fanatical fear that places of historical or religious interest could give rise to alternative forms of pilgrimage or worship. Their obsession with combating idolatry has seen them flatten all evidence of a past that does not agree with their interpretation of Islam.” Irfan Ahmed al-Alawi, the chairman of the Islamic Heritage Foundation, told the newspaper that the case of the grave of Amina bint Wahb, the mother of the Prophet (pbuh), found in 1998, is typical of what has happened. “It was bulldozed in Abwa and gasoline was poured on it.” Today there are fewer than 20 structures remaining in Mecca that date back to the time of the Prophet (pbuh). “The litany of this lost history includes the house of Khadijah, the wife of the Prophet (pbuh), demolished to make way for public lavatories; the house of Abu Bakr, the Prophet’s (pbuh) companion, now the site of the local Hilton hotel; the house of Ali-Oraid, the grandson of the Prophet (pbuh), and the Mosque of Abu-Qubais, now the location of the King’s palace in Mecca.

“Yet the same oil-rich dynasty that pumped money into the Taliban regime as they blew up the Bamiyan Buddhas in Afghanistan six years ago has so far avoided international criticism for similar acts of vandalism at home.”

Dr Mai Yamani, an author, says it is time for other Muslim governments to ignore the Sauds’ oil wealth and speak out. “What is alarming about this is that the world doesn’t question the al-Sauds’ custodianship of Islam’s two holy places. These are the sites that are of such importance to over one billion Muslims and yet their destruction is being ignored,” she has said, adding, “When the Prophet (pbuh) was insulted by Danish cartoonists, thousands of people went into the streets to protest. The sites related to the Prophet (pbuh) are part of their heritage and religion, but we see no concern from Muslims.”

Al-Nour may be the next to go. Home to the Hira’a cave, it was here that the Prophet (pbuh) received the first verses of the Quran. According to the British newspaper, hardline clerics want it destroyed to stop pilgrims visiting. At the foot of the hill, they have inscribed a fatwa that says, “The Prophet Mohamed (pbuh) did not permit us to climb on to this hill, to pray here, to touch stones, and tie knots on trees.”

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Never Again?
By Charles Krauthammer

WASHINGTON -- When something happens for the first time in 1,871 years, it is worth noting. In A.D. 70, and again in 135, the Roman Empire brutally put down Jewish revolts in Judea, destroying Jerusalem, killing hundreds of thousands of Jews and sending hundreds of thousands more into slavery and exile. For nearly two millennia, the Jews wandered the world. And now, in 2006, for the first time since then, there are once again more Jews living in Israel -- the successor state to Judea -- than in any other place on earth.

Israel's Jewish population has just passed 5.6 million. America's Jewish population was about 5.5 million in 1990, dropped to about 5.2 million ten years later and is in a precipitous decline that, because of low fertility rates and high levels of assimilation, will cut that number in half by mid-century.

When 6 million European Jews were killed in the Holocaust, only two main centers of Jewish life remained: America and Israel. That binary star system remains today, but a tipping point has just been reached. With every year, as the Jewish population continues to rise in Israel and decline in America (and in the rest of the Diaspora), Israel increasingly becomes, as it was at the time of Jesus, the center of the Jewish world.

An epic restoration, and one of the most improbable. To take just one of the remarkable achievements of the return: Hebrew is the only ``dead'' language in recorded history to have been brought back to daily use as the living language of a nation. But there is a price and a danger to this transformation. It radically alters the prospects for Jewish survival.

For 2,000 years, Jews found protection in dispersion -- protection not for individual communities which were routinely persecuted and massacred, but protection for the Jewish people as a whole. Decimated here, they could survive there. They could be persecuted in Spain and find refuge in Constantinople. They could be massacred in the Rhineland during the Crusades or in the Ukraine during the Khmelnytsky Insurrection of 1648-49, and yet survive in the rest of Europe.

Hitler put an end to that illusion. He demonstrated that modern anti-Semitism married to modern technology -- railroads, disciplined bureaucracies, gas chambers that kill with industrial efficiency -- could take a scattered people and ``concentrate'' them for complete annihilation.

The establishment of Israel was a Jewish declaration to a world that had allowed the Holocaust to happen -- after Hitler had made his intentions perfectly clear -- that the Jews would henceforth resort to self-protection and self-reliance. And so they have, building a Jewish army, the first in 2,000 years, that prevailed in three great wars of survival (1948-49, 1967 and 1973).

But, in a cruel historical irony, doing so required concentration -- putting all the eggs back in one basket, a tiny territory hard by the Mediterranean, eight miles wide at its waist. A tempting target for those who would finish Hitler's work.

His successors now reside in Tehran. The world has paid ample attention to President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's declaration that Israel must be destroyed. Less attention has been paid to Iranian leaders' pronouncements on exactly how Israel would be destroyed ``by a single storm,'' as Ahmadinejad has promised.

Former President Hashemi Rafsanjani, the presumed moderate of this gang, has explained that ``the use of a nuclear bomb in Israel will leave nothing on the ground, whereas it will only damage the world of Islam.'' The logic is impeccable, the intention clear: A nuclear attack would effectively destroy tiny Israel, while any retaliation launched by a dying Israel would have no major effect on an Islamic civilization of a billion people stretching from Mauritania to Indonesia.

As it races to acquire nuclear weapons, Iran makes clear that if there is any trouble, the Jews will be the first to suffer. ``We have announced that wherever (In Iran) America does make any mischief, the first place we target will be Israel,'' said Gen. Mohammad Ebrahim Dehghani, a top Revolutionary Guards commander. Hitler was only slightly more direct when he announced seven months before invading Poland that, if there was another war, ``the result will be ... the annihilation of the Jewish race in Europe.''

Last week, Bernard Lewis, America's dean of Islamic studies who just turned 90 and remembers the 20th century well, confessed that for the first time he feels it is 1938 again. He did not need to add that in 1938, in the face of the gathering storm -- a fanatical, aggressive, openly declared enemy of the West, and most determinedly of the Jews -- the world did nothing.

When Iran's mullahs acquire their coveted nukes in the next few years, the number of Jews in Israel will just be reaching 6 million. Never again?

#3  If it comes to a choice between killing every Muslim on earth to save the Jews, or letting the MMs finish Hitler's work, my vote is for wiping Muslims from the face of the earth. And if preempting their threat requires that, so be it.

And no, I'm not Jewish.

#4  Too bad we couldn't just flush the toilet, and the muslims, being good turds as they are would circle around a few times and then drop out of sight. Problem solved. Maybe that's what's happening on Jupiter.

#5  If it comes to a choice between killing every Muslim on earth to save the Jews, or letting the MMs finish Hitler's work, my vote is for wiping Muslims from the face of the earth. And if preempting their threat requires that, so be it.

I find it increasingly difficult to argue with this sort of logic. Besides the communists, Muslims are one of the few groups that pose any significant threat to world peace. If they are incapable of coexisting with other cultures, there is no reason to suffer their constant erosion of global stability.

As I have said many times before; The Islamists cause a 9-11 death toll every single day with the way they divert such enormous amounts of financial support towards (otherwise largely useless) intensive security measures and away from critical projects like fighting hunger, AIDS, illiteracy and disaster relief. Combine this with their constant abuse of women and the putative worth of this culture diminishes at a phenomenal rate.

If Islam cannot rehabilitate itself through an authentic and genuine renunciation of violent jihad then they should be either quarrantined upon their home turf or outright exterminated. Too many lives are lost each day, both at their hands and indirectly whereby they are overstaying their welcome on this planet.

#6  I'll give you an "amen" Zenster. This is a war for our very survival. I'm not sure everyone realizes it yet however.

#7  Good point regards the resources which are now directed towards trying to keep them from killing even more of us, Zen. Not that we didn't / don't need better security, there are plenty of "isms" intent on our demise, but I'm sure just the tabs for Afghanistan, Iraq, and all of the other less direct efforts being waged to stop the jihaids would be better spent in other pursuits.

I find it surprising that the Dummycrats don't see this, too. They're always looking for resources they can waste. If they ever wake up to this, they'll suddenly start advocating jihadi genocide, lol. I'm sure they can rediscover what "liberal" really means if there's money on the line.

Terror Networks
The Future Jihad
Interview with Dr. Walid Phares
Excerpt:
Question: In Future Jihad you present the Jihadists plans against America and their future threat. You touch upon the dormant cells, and the role of the Mosques and the Islamic organizations in America. Has the US government done enough since 9/11 to forestall an attack, and are we winning the war against the Jihadists?

Answer: The Jihadists, as I argue in the book, are living off the dividends of Wahhabi activities within the US. This ideological influence was first propagated via Saudi Arabia since the 1973 Oil crisis. Hundreds of millions of dollars were invested in America as part of a propaganda campaign to strengthen the Saudi influence in this country. But it was not limited to diplomatic influence. It quickly mutated into a full fledge infiltration of U.S. universities and some media, in addition to organized lobby groups. The Jihadist influence in America is of two dimensions: One is public and militant, backed by the Wahhabi political influence and financial power. This track developed the ideological penetration of the country under its laws. It controls the overwhelming majority of the religious and social centers, hence it controls the political representation of the (Islamic) community within the U.S.

The other track is the Jihadi-terrorist, including al Qaida, but not exclusively. The network has a second generation in the making. A number of cells have been dismantled by government action. But the public remains the most important player in the homeland security strategy. If we increase public education about the Jihadists, the U.S. would be winning the war on terror in the long term. If the Jihadi ideological influence continues, chances for future strikes will increase.

From my personal observations, the pro-Jihadi current is still growing, and I assume recruiting, because the intellectual elite in this country is still blurring the vision of Americans. Imagine that pro-Wahhabi organizations are called upon to teach members of official institutions about the War on Terror and human rights!
Rest at link.
