-Lurid Crime Tales-
"Sexfairy" reveals herself - Bernie Ward "Lion of the Left" is a sick puppy
SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- We're finally hearing from the woman at the center of the child pornography case against former KGO Radio host Bernie Ward.

Until now, you haven't seen her face and didn't know much about her except that she went by the screen name "Sexfairy" and called police when Ward sent her child porn.

Please note: Understand that before reading this story or watching the interview that the topic is graphic and may be disturbing to some.

Dan Noyes first contacted the woman known as "Sexfairy" three months ago. She agreed to speak with him once the Bernie Ward Case was over.

"Sexfairy's" real name is Linda Figueiredo. She told Dan Noyes she wanted to do the interview to clear up a lot of misconceptions, primarily newspaper reports characterizing her as a dominatrix.

Dan Noyes: "Is that in any way accurate?"

Linda Figueiredo: "Not at all. I am a simple woman. I work, I'm a mother of three, it was a part of my life, I was exploring something, who hasn't, and I just got caught up in something that was not at all fun."

Dan Noyes: "It was online, though, in your personal life, were you ever..."

Linda Figueiredo: "No, not at all."

Dan Noyes: "...being a dominatrix in real life?"

Linda Figueiredo: "No, uh-hmm. No, I never wielded a whip."
Figueiredo tells the I-Team she was a 29-year-old stay-at-home mother with three young daughters when she went online as "Sexfairy" to explore her sexual boundaries. A friend gave her the screen name of a man who appeared to be submissive -- "Vincentlio."

Only later would she find out it was KGO Radio host Bernie Ward.

Linda Figueiredo: "I was interested in doing the domination thing and he was submissive, so she introduced me to him, chatted back and forth and that's when this whole melee' happened."

Figueiredo says she chatted online from her home in the Central Valley town of Oakdale with Bernie Ward at his home in San Francisco for two to three weeks. Then there was a turning point.

A transcript of the chat from December 2004 starts with Ward's "Good afternoon, mistress." "Sexfairy" answers, "How was your day, slave?"

Ward describes having gay, group sex at a San Mateo porn theater in the past and then asks:

"Are you going to make me feel dirty, mistress?"

"Sexfairy" answers, "Yes, I am."

Then Ward types, "I love trading pictures." "Sexfairy answers: "And why haven't I gotten any pics, slave. Send me some." Ward answers, "you have mail, mistress."

Linda Figueiredo: "And up in my mail came up child porn."
It was a picture of a naked 14 year old boy, a clothed 12 year old girl, and a topless woman in her 30s, all touching in a sexual way.

Dan Noyes: "When you saw that, what went through your mind?"
Linda Figueiredo: "Oh my god, basically, I was, my stomach wrenched, my stomach turned, I was trying to figure out what do I do? It was the most disgusting thing I've ever seen, children shouldn't be put in sexually compromising positions at all, and then to be taking pictures of and sent around the Internet was just mind-blowing to me."

Dan Noyes: "I just want to be clear, at any point before Bernie Ward sent you child porn had you expressed an interest in children?"

Linda Figueiredo: "Absolutely not."

Within minutes, Figueiredo is on the phone with the Oakdale police. They instruct her to keep chatting with Ward to help build a case. It's a stressful assignment. In the days that follow, Ward discusses sexual activity with children and sends several more images of child porn.

Dan Noyes: "You said that seeing those images had a lasting impact on you. How so?"

Linda Figueiredo: "I still have nightmares."

Dan Noyes: "Really?"

Linda Figueiredo: "Uh-hmm. I still have nightmares. They'll be burned in my memory forever, forever that and the IM chats of him telling me what he was doing to his own children and I couldn't really at that point do anything about it."

Through his attorney, Ward says the online chat was 100 percent false, that he was role-playing as part of research for a book about hypocrisy and Republicans.

Linda Figueiredo: "I think it's the most absurd thing I have ever heard, number one, I'm not even a Republican, number two, you don't send somebody child porn to do research for a book."

The Ward child porn case went from the Oakdale police to the FBI to federal court, and one week ago, he pleaded guiltyto distributing "between 15 and 150 images" of "prepubescent children engaged in sexually explicit conduct, some with sadistic, masochistic or violent conduct."

Dan Noyes: "With your help, Bernie Ward's been prosecuted, he's lost his career, he's going to prison. What do you think about that?"

Linda Figueiredo: "I think that he needs to sit in that prison cell and I think he needs to think about what he did. What he did didn't affect just one person, it affected those children that he had on that computer screen that are all over the Internet. It affected me, I was highly stressed, it put me into a deep depression for four years. And I think he needs to sit there and I think justice has been served."

Figueiredo might not have sympathy for Bernie Ward, but she does for his wife and four children. After all, she knows how important family is. Her parents have helped her through a tough four years, since "Sexfairy" first met "Vincentlio" online.

Dan Noyes: "Anything else you want to say, anything else you want people to know?"

Linda Figueiredo: "No, I'm just a normal girl that tried to do the right thing and no children should be harmed that way and no children should be taken pictures of that way and I just had to do what I had to do."

Figueiredo tells us she had no idea "Vincentlio" was, in fact, Bernie Ward until the FBI told her. There's much more to her story, including how she came up with the name "Sexfairy"

#4  So, the people or persons who took the child pr0n pictures walk freely, but some poor fool down the road is slandered to death. Hmmmm ! I find no justice here, just knee jerk reactions to simple crimes. Posession of pr0n in this day seems pretty petty. I don't give a fig about Bernie Ward, but he seems to be the victim of 'justice' here. We really need a more serious form of justice. I am reminded of a local pol who was squeezing local businesses for $ and one of those squeezed wrote 'loan' on the memo line of a check. Eventually, somebody trapped him, and he went to trial. The 'justice' was that he went states evidence, and walked free, while all the doners went to jail. Except the guy who wrote 'loan'. There's no law aginst a personal loan.
Our justice system failed long ago, and as with other issues, not a word is uttered.

#5  Through his attorney, Ward says the online chat was 100 percent false, that he was role-playing as part of research for a book about hypocrisy and Republicans.

LOL I understand hypocrisy and he's a liberal but what does Republicans have anything to do his research lol

#6  James:

Two points.

1. You don't know if the creep that took the photos walked or not. Photos like that get subjected to detailed analysis by the cops (we ran an article on this a few years ago, but I can't find it right now) with the objective of identifying where and when they were taken--so the creep with his finger on the shutter button can be taken down. If it does happen, it probably won't be reported in a way that connects it to this story.

2. Circulating and re-circulating images like that keeps the demand up, which leads to the creation of more images--that is, to the abuse of more children. Anybody who trades in these sorts of things is part of the problem. It's no injustice to take them down.

#7  I understand hypocrisy and he's a liberal but what does Republicans have anything to do his research

He's a liberal.
1. He lies...even to himself.
2. It's always someone else's fault.
3. Republicans are evil.
4. Liberals are good.

If he was caught doing something wrong, he couldn't have been doing something wrong because he's a liberal. So it must be the fault of the evil Rethuglicans.

#8  I agree with what I heard Savage say abouy this. The reason many liberals do not like the military, the Christian faith, the police, or traditional America is because they have something about themselves that is dark that they do not want uncovered. Anyone who would be a danger to that side of them, they rail against.

#11  The flip side of this, the master-slave thing is actually pretty big. They hold an annual convention in Phoenix that last time had thousands of participants. That being said, for the most part the master-slaves are a pretty tame bunch.

Most of the time they are couples where the strong wife has long resented not feeling in charge ("because she's a girl"), and her husband is tired of always being in charge. So they do what they think is role reversal where she gets to boss, and he gets to relax and just obey orders.

As a group, m-s couples have considerable etiquette. Masters do not hit on other masters' slaves without permission, for example. And while some couples are gaudy, for the most part they dress normally.

They are pretty high up on the totem pole of sexual deviancy, and it is no surprise that she nuked Bernie Ward.

Sweetie pierces lover's heart in botched sex game
A Canadian man who asked his lover to carve a heart-shaped symbol on his chest during a rough sex game almost died when she accidentally pressed too hard and punctured his heart, a newspaper said on Thursday.
"Oh, baby! I lo-o-o-o-o-ove you!... Ummm... Baby?"
The Winnipeg Free Press said the 25-year-old woman had been sentenced to three years' probation after she pleaded guilty to assaulting the man in February 2007.
"Yeah. It wuz me, I guess. I dunnit. Wudn't nobuddy else there but us, and it wudn't him."
The 24-year-old man was initially given little chance of survival but made a full recovery and is backing the woman. Both had been drinking heavily and engaging in rough sex when he asked the woman to carve the symbol, the paper said.
Somehow we guessed strong drink might be involved.
Look, I've had sex drunk before, but this just DIDN'T end up on the menu. I guess I'm a sissy. Or I don't remember it (nervously checking chest for knife marks...)

Icelandic museum offers long and short of male organ
Sigurdur Hjartarson is missing a human penis. But he's not worried: four men have promised to donate theirs to him when they die.

Hjartarson is founder and owner of the Icelandic Phallological Museum, which offers visitors from around the world a close-up look at the long and the short of the male reproductive organ.

His collection, which began in 1974 with a single bull's penis that looked something like a riding crop, now boasts 261 preserved members from 90 species.

The largest, from a sperm whale, is 70 kg (154 lb) and 1.7 meters (5.58 ft) long. The smallest, a hamster penis bone, is just 2 mm and must be viewed through a magnifying glass.

One species conspicuous by its absence is homo sapiens, but that may soon be rectified since a German, an American, an Icelander and a Briton have promised to donate their organs after death, according to certificates on display.

The American, 52-year-old Stan Underwood, supplied a written description of his penis -- which he purportedly nick-named "Elmo" -- for display alongside a life-size plastic mould of the member as well as his pledge to donate it.

Hjartarson said the Icelandic donor, a 93-year-old from nearby Akureyri, was a womanizer in his youth who thought having his penis in the collection might bring him eternal fame.

#3  I've actually been to this place in Iceland. I was over there on a trip with a group of friends and we were walking around downtown Reykjavik when we happened upon this place. Curiousity got the better of us and we decided to take a look.

It's not a big place, roughly the size of an average room on one floor. Needless to say, we didn't stick around for very long. Two or three minutes, tops. The trip to Iceland was great, but this was one part I kind of wish I had forgotten.

Australian Scientists bring Tasmanian Tiger DNA back to life
AUSTRALIAN scientists say it may eventually be possible to bring a dinosaur back to life, after a world-first experiment with DNA from the extinct Tasmanian tiger.

DNA from preserved Tasmanian tiger specimens was injected and brought back to life in a mouse embryo in the nine-year experiment conducted by Melbourne University zoologists Andrew Pask and Marilyn Renfree.

The experiment proved the tiger DNA was able to grow cartilage and bone in the mouse, showing the extinct gene could be brought back to life, results published in the international scientific journal PLoS One show today.

Dr Pask said the same technique could now be used with other extinct species such as the dinosaur, mammoth and neanderthal, all of which scientists had large amounts of DNA available.

4 more robbers get 'mob justice'
Four men accused of robbery were beaten up on Sunday in two separate incidents in Karachi. Police said a group of people tried to beat up two men, suspecting them to be robbers in the Gulberg Police Station precincts, when a passing police patrol rescued them. In a second incident, two men were shot when they tried to rob a man who was carrying a gun. People at the site roughed up the two men before police arrived and arrested the alleged robbers.
