By Definition: We Live In Bewildering Times
[News With Views] Are you confused about life in 2023 America? Are you confused about the meaning of a boy or a girl? Are you stymied as to why we have borders to protect our country, but our president has invited the largest invasion of criminals over those borders for the past 26 months? Does it concern you that drugs such as fentanyl have killed 100,000 of our youth annually for the past two years...as our leaders in Congress continue to help drug dealers import those poisons over our borders?

Did you see 1,000 illegal migrants "bum-rush" our border at El Paso, Texas yesterday. They are part of over 3,000,000 who will break into our country in 2023—at the invitation of President Joe Dementia Biden. Who is paying for this? Does that make any sense to you?

Does it make sense to you that our cities feature hundreds of thousands of homeless people in the richest nation on this planet? Does it make sense to you that Silicon Valley Bank collapsed last week because it board of directors and president cheated the system into bankruptcy? Are you confused as to the Secretary of Health and Human Services is a man who wears a dress, is obese, grows long hair and carries a five o’clock shadow even after "she" shaves?

Is it strange that our children are being indoctrinated into being "transgender" changelings at the tender age of 6, 7, 8, 9 and/or 10? Is it not strange to you that preteens are being castrated or having their breasts removed before they even know what their lives are all about?

#1  B, none of this is happenstance. But unfortunately even a lot of people on our side see this as some sort of organic transformation.

#3  #1 Agreed, and a half. The recurring pattern of creating a crisis without any objective or thought toward resolution and thus manufacturing refugees is not an accident at this point, it happens too often and keeps happening.

The refugees show up and essentially destroy the social cohesion of the host country. Along with 'globalism' of course which was sold as the easy travel and trade between all countries. But more practically results in 26,000 pages of regulations, a la EU, for growing, harvesting, selling and oh yes, consuming...cabbage, a European staple since Neolithic times.

The trannies and grooming of children is absolutely being promoted by multiple entities. Some like the Pritzgers have made their own contribution to that cause. Others simply see it as another way to rip any remaining cultural norms apart.

Yuval Harriri speaks casually of 10's and 100's of millions of useless eaters without social or military utility', although what his utility might be is somewhat harder to divine.

The SVB made poor decisions and refused to cut losses quickly. Signature Bank would seem to bear more examination since it is being reported that it was not insolvent and in no immediate danger of becoming insolvent.

There is plainly f*ckery a foot and by obvious design as well. They will keep pushing until somebody pushes back. Perhaps they are wealthy, but they are also few, we are many.

The Economic War in Ukraine a Year On - The energy war, politics & production-Perun
[YouTube] Over the last year, the Ukraine war has played out both on the battlefields of Ukraine, and on global markets where energy warfare, sanctions, and industrial mobilization efforts went head to head. Russia wanted to freeze Europe, while the Western allies sought to strangle the Russian economy with sanctions.

A year on - I want to look at how successful these competing economic campaigns have been. Setting the stage to look at battlefield developments, attrition, and force regeneration in the near future.
It is an hour long powerpoint presentation but damn, so much info pushed into it.
Watch if you can.

Russian Dementia Facility uses Joe Biden on marketing poster
[RipleyPorch] In the past couple of days around Moscow....this poster has shown up. It's a dementia-care facility poster....featuring President Biden as the person requiring care.

Between state TV and propaganda BS....I would imagine around half of Russia sees President Biden in a active dementia situation.

Putin taking him serious? I doubt it.
The (alleged) poster appears at the link.

Economy
Silicon Valley Bank had more red flags than a CCP meeting but regulators cared about climate not bank risks
[Fox via Yahoo - Liz Peek] Despite skeins of bank regulations supposed to prevent another financial meltdown, Silicon Valley Bank, the country’s 17th-biggest bank, went down in flames last week. It was the second-biggest bank failure in U.S. history and has prompted a lot of finger-pointing.

Management messed up by not addressing a serious cash shortage until it was too late. Some blame Peter Thiel, saying the venture capital investor’s call for small tech firms to withdraw deposits from SVB accelerated its demise. Others are critical of Goldman Sachs, SVB’s adviser who signed off on their ill-advised decision to try to sell equity, thus alerting investors to their capital shortfall.

There’s plenty of blame to go around, but when a financial institution goes under, you have to wonder: where were the regulators? After all, there were more red flags than you see at a CCP convention.

#5  Biggest Depositors in SVP who will be gaining access to their account include:

ROKU
Mark Cuban
iRhythm Technologies
Onconrus
Bill Holdings
Sangamo Therapeutics

Also interesting is that Barney Frank (of Sarbanes Frank Banking Reform Act) who was on Board of Directors of Signature, says Regulatory Reform in 2018 had nothing to do with the bank failures (hint: they purchased too many long T bonds)

#7  SVB had a really high ESG score though.
Posted by: mossomo || 03/14/2023 12:29 Comments || Top||

#8  SVB problems seem to have originated in where they kept their ‘cash’ (government bonds) than in where they made their loans; the (not) bailout seems to be aimed at saving their ESG alphabet borrowers, not either their investors nor their savers.

#10  Now for the rest of the story:

BeiGene, one of China’s largest cancer-focused drug companies, said Monday it had more than $175 million uninsured cash deposits at SVB, which represents approximately 3.9% of its cash, cash equivalents and short-term investments.

Iraq
BBC Report: How the search for Iraq's secret weapons fell apart
In which Shafaq shares the BBC’s most recent reshaping, though why this oft-argued situation matters to them now is beyond me.
[Shafaq News] Twenty years after the invasion of Iraq, controversy still rages over the existence of the "weapons of mass destruction" (WMDs) which provided the UK's justification for taking part. New details about the search for WMDs have emerged as part of a BBC series, Shock and War: Iraq 20 years on, based on conversations with dozens of people directly involved.

It has sometimes been alleged that the UK government made up the claims about WMDs. But ministers from that time say they had been assured by their own spies the weapons did exist.
"Crikey." That was the one-word reaction from a senior MI6 officer when told by a colleague in late 2001 that the Americans were serious about war in Iraq.

CIA officers also recall the shock of British counterparts. "I thought they would have a heart attack right there at the table," recalls Luis Rueda, head of the CIA's Iraq Operations Group. "If they weren't gentlemen, they would have reached across the table and slapped me."

#1  ...If, after DESERT STORM and the other DESERT operations and the fury that followed 9/11, His Majesty's Secret Service was surprised that an attack on Iraq was coming, then they're as screwed up as the CIA.

#3  Sources and methods kept the story from being examined in detail. But a reliable opinion might be formed that most of the assessments and conclusions were based on SIGINT, IMINT, MEASINT and NOT Technical HUMINT. A lot of WMD budget money was sloshing around the senior leadership of Iraq, a lot of it stolen or used in corruption pyramids, and they were telling Saddam and his leaders a hierarchy of lies and half-truths about much of the WMD assets supposedly on-hand. There were Chem rounds with Sarin discovered, and traces of potential biologics, and suspicious movement of convoys into Iran towards the end. But no real WMD capabilities of scale.

After the Church hearings of the 70's, old school professionals were convinced the Agency et al, lost huge levels of actual HUMINT assets and went to the politically safer, less messy but more removed technical means. Just an opinion based on Open Source readings over the years, nothing more.
