The Antiracist Racket. And its mind-forg’d manacles.
by Myron Magnet

[ClaremontReview] Beyond its falsity, there is no current idea so destructive as the fiction that America is systemically racist. It harms black Americans by shrinking their horizons and stoking their resentment; it has fueled crime and disorder in our cities; and by replacing our national faith in the unique excellence of our self-governing republic with a sense of its pervasive injustice and oppression, it makes us more vulnerable in a dangerous world. Confidence that we have a civilization worth defending is vital to our future.

After all, the civil rights movement of the 1950s and ’60s succeeded. In what was the defining political experience of a generation, that movement turned the nation inside out in order to remedy the overt racism that then marred America’s promise of civil equality. Two decades of sit-ins and marches, of sermons and voter registrations, yielded changes that fully opened political, educational, and employment opportunities to blacks, while society grew dramatically more welcoming. Just compare the advertisements or movies—or college alumni magazines—of the 1950s to today’s to get a sense of the revolution in racial attitudes that occurred. Or consider the change in the percentage of Americans who tell pollsters they approve of interracial marriage—4% in 1958 versus 94% in 2021.

But as the number of Americans who remember the civil rights era dwindles, the harangues of Black Lives Matter and the critical race theorists have obscured that era’s accomplishment. The Gallup Poll tracks this trend: in 2014, respondents’ satisfaction with U.S. race relations reached a high of 55%, versus 35% dissatisfied, but it began dropping thereafter, in the wake of Eric Garner’s death in July of that year. Only 28% expressed satisfaction in 2022.

Because what people believe affects their actions as much as their real circumstances do, the imaginary world these propagandists have conjured up—in which racial injustice pervades everything, racist insults wound blacks at every turn, racism closes off advancement and shuts out fellowship—really does constrict black opportunity by denying it exists. By and large, the civil rights pioneers assumed that, once their movement succeeded, black Americans would gear up to seize the new opportunity, especially through wider educational choices. But the schools and colleges that were to arm black Americans for success now teach systemic racism, infusing a strange mix of suspicious resentment, fatalistic victimology, and aggrieved entitlement that doesn’t fuel initiative but instead feeds a resentment or hostility that hinders advancement and poisons race relations again. The poet William Blake wrote strikingly of “mind-forg’d manacles”; for many black Americans, the schools rivet them on, and BLM reinforces the chains.

-Land of the Free
Wise words from a reader
[Rural-Revolution] In response to my last blog post, "The Only Way to Survive 2023," a reader named Leigh chimed in with her two cents' worth. I found her words so wise — far better than I could phrase things — that I wanted to highlight them here.

She writes: In reading these articles, I notice a common denominator, which is basically (over-simplified, I suspect) that the alarms and cautions are related to embracing the current economic system, which relies on debt and the hope of wealth accumulation through investments. The ideas that debt can make us affluent, or that everyone has to be a millionaire before they can retire is a new one, within my lifetime at least. Growing up, it was explained to me that one strives toward their highest earnings in one's younger years: to buy a home, raise a family, and secure tangible assets. Once the children are on their own and the house is paid for, there isn't need for so much, and a smaller retirement income will suffice to be happy and comfortable. Now, this is foreign thinking.

My husband and I have never had the income to get caught up in the economic investment lifestyle. So honestly, people getting panicky over the state of the economy is something that makes no sense. Instead, we have "invested" in the land, tools, equipment, and skills to live a simpler lifestyle and become more self-reliant. Of course, I don't like higher retail prices and disappearing products. But because of our lifestyle, we can pretty much say "oh well" and shrug it off.

The biggest challenge is that learning how to be frugal also requires learning how to be content.
Yes.
And that it isn't a stopgap measure, it's a lifestyle. Unfortunately, contentment pretty is pretty foreign to human nature, which I suspect contributes greatly to people getting stressed out.

Yes!! This woman gets it! She explains things so clearly. Listen to her wisdom.

#3  I don't know how old this woman is but I'm presuming she and her hubby are pretty healthy late 60s or early 70s.

As they get older, they will probably need help taking care of their property and later maybe need help taking care of their house cleaning and organizing and then help with cooking and medicine. So they may find their income won't be enough at some point.

Is The U.S. Military A Domestic Threat To U.S. Citizens?
[MASONDIXONSURVIVALISTASSOCIATION] While talking to a fellow employee last week, he made the statement, "It’s not like the U.S. Military would attack Civilians.". My response was, "You obviously don’t know your history." I proceeded to give him some examples, culminating with what happened at Waco and the "Bonus Army" incident in Washington DC.

One of the people putting out the info, concerning CAG, SMU, Delta (or whatever they’re calling themselves these days LOL) having "Operators" from "B Squadron" on the ground pulling triggers at Waco (In "Waco, Rules of Engagement" / "Waco, A New Revelation"), is a personal, long time Friend of mine. The info on the "Bonus Army" attack is widely available, but hardly ever taught in school in the last 40 years. The Bonus Army attack was led by General Douglas MacArthur with Major George Patton personally leading the Cavalry and Major Dwight Eisenhower as an Aide to MacArthur.

After seeing what has/is becoming of our military now, and the types that they are not only trying to recruit, but are actually getting in, I have no doubt they will follow an illegal order like firing on Citizens. We’ve been told recruiting is down by 25%, but after speaking with a Buddy, whose B-in-L is an Active Duty Recruiter, he said it’s actually closer to 50%.

I personally know a guy who just got in that would have never been considered prior to 2 years ago. He is too stupid to pass the ASVAB the first THREE TIMES! He is grossly overweight, and got in while still heavily overweight. Worse yet, I guarantee he would follow any order given, as long as he gets to be on his power trip. The first two issues listed above, were reasons I was never worried about him getting into the military or a Police Department, because they had standards. So much for that safeguard.

I’ve seen several videos where Soldiers (mostly female and one was a female Staff Sergeant and a Drill Instructor) say they have no problem coming to take our guns. I find this ironic, especially when it’s from a female, for two reasons. First, percentage wise, very few females are in the type of units that would probably be used for this task. Those units being the Infantry, Cavalry, and maybe MP’s (Which would have the highest concentration of females of those units). Second, since females have been allowed into the Infantry, I’ve heard from from Friends that, across the board, they are a nightmare in the real world of the Infantry, concerning their performance of Infantry related tasks.

This administration ran out the best that the military (I have several Friends that are in this category) had during Covid and their clot-shot requirement. This was purposeful. The majority of those left are subservient lemmings in need of an "All-Knowing Master". Those lemmings obviously can’t make good decisions, even for their own welfare, let alone think for themselves. Due to this mindset, they’ve proven that they won’t make a decision that could jeopardize their job. This means they will blindly follow orders, regardless of Ethics, Morality or Legality.

Several days ago, "IraqVeteran8888" did a poll which aptly shows that many feel the way I do, concerning whether the military would fire on American Citizens. The numbers are disturbing, but I think reflect how far we are into a situation which will require us to apply the Martial "Survivalist" skills many have practiced for years. Below I have shown the polls he’s done in the last couple months, and the video he posted yesterday. Look at the number of participants, and the number of the "Shares" that the polls received.Almost 52,000 votes on the first, most recent, one and just short of 96,000 on the second one shown, from February. That is significant, considering who is watching his channel, and the percentages show their mindset, in regards to the threat they feel they face. Here’s the video.

Prepare accordingly.

#1  the types that they are not only trying to recruit

Some time ago I shared a flight seat row with a uniformed recruiter. We chatted, his MOS was all about artillery setup. He rotated into recruiting for 'more stability'. I asked him how he liked his new job in human relations. His reply has stayed with me for 40 years.

"I'd rather be digging graves."

Sudan unrest: Why Sudanese army are in conflict with RSF
[Garowe] On Saturday, tensions between the Sudanese army and the paramilitary better known as Rapid Support Force [RSF] escalated in the capital Khartoum, with both parties primarily blaming each other for provocation, leading to ugly shootout exchanges in the busy northern African city.

Soldiers from either side opened fire against each other with smoke bellowing in several parts of the city as the team tried to take control of strategic locals. The mayhem-targeted the presidential palace and the main airport with the Ministry of Defense also being on the list of areas of interest.

According to RSF, the military targeted her bases in the capital leading to ugly confrontations. The paramilitary wing claimed soldiers were the first to hit, adding that they will not take responsibility for the ugly scenes that led to the destruction of property.

"The Rapid Support Forces were surprised Saturday with a large force from the army entering camps in Soba in Khartoum and laying siege to paramilitaries there," the RSF said in a statement. The army "launched a sweeping attack with all kinds of heavy and light weapons", it said.

But in a rebuttal, the Sudanese army claimed paramilitary forces had attacked her bases within the capital, a claim which could not be substantiated. The army also denied that RSF had taken control of the presidential palace and the airport.

"Fighters from the Rapid Support Forces attacked several army camps in Khartoum and elsewhere around Sudan," said Brigadier-General Nabil Abdallah. "Clashes are ongoing and the army is carrying out its duty to safeguard the country."

However,
some people cause happiness wherever they go; others whenever they go...
sources say tensions started building up on Thursday when the army accused the paramilitary wing of "occupying" strategic areas within the city, a violation of an existing agreement. The army which is loyal to military ruler General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, sources added, responded by thwarting the efforts of RSF under General Mohammed Hamdan Dagalo.

The conflict between the two started in 2019 during the reign of Omar al-Bashir
...Former President-for-Life of Sudan He came to power in 1989 when he, as a brigadier in the Sudanese army, led a group of officers in a bloodless military coup that ousted the government of Prime Minister Sadiq al-Mahdi and eventually appointed himself head cheese. He fell out with his Islamic mentor, Hasan al-Turabi, tried to impose shariah on the Christian and animist south, resulting in its secessesion, and attempted to Arabize Darfur by unleashing the barbaric Janjaweed on it. Sudan's potential prosperity has been pissed away in warfare that has left as many as 400,000 people dead and 2.5 million displaced. Hee was overthrown by popular consent in 2019. Omar has been indicted for genocide by the International Criminal Court but nothing is expected to come of it...
with RSF growing out of the government-backed Janjaweed militia. The powerful paramilitary wing was responsible for genocide in Darfur, leading to the issuance of arrest warrants for al-Bashir by the International Criminal Court [ICC].

Current tensions stem from a disagreement over how the RSF should be integrated into the military and what authority should oversee the process. The merger is a key condition of Sudan’s unsigned transition agreement, and the latest festivities could further derail a lot of political parties and reinstatement of civilian rule in the country.

Mohammed Alamin Ahmed, a Sudanese analyst, told al-Jazeera that "It’s a power struggle that began a long time ago and it has escalated to direct festivities today. There is an exchange of accusations on who started this, and the fighting has extended, not just in Khartoum, but also in the strategic city of Merowe where the Sudanese armed forces have a strong air force there.

"And it looks like the RSF is trying to neutralize the capacity of Sudanese army [and] air force there to pull them towards a ground battle."

Similarly, Kholood Khair, director of Khartoum-based think tank Confluence Advisory, says the two rivals have been wrangling over the consolidation of power, with integration and roles being a major obstacle. RSF enjoyed massive support during al-Bashir tenure and the return of military rule jeopardized their influence in government.

"There are signs that they are working together to escalate the tensions and very publicly show this escalation to get concessions from pro-democracy forces, only then to de-escalate those tensions. This has been a cycle of rinse and repeat over the past few years," Khair told Al Jazeera.

Al-Bashir was kicked out by the military in 2019 following a civilian uprising but the transition Council has struggled to accommodate civilians besides failing to strike a deal with the paramilitary. The skirmishes could prolong given the fragility of the country which has struggled to stabilize for years.

Government Corruption
Debbie Lerman: How America's National Security Complex Took Over the Pandemic Response
Lengthy EPOCH TV video.
American Thought Leaders
Jan Jekielek

In this episode, I sit down with Brownstone Institute fellow Debbie Lerman to discuss her research into U.S. government documents and the origins of America’s pandemic policies.

The response to COVID—from lockdowns to mask mandates to vaccine
mandates—was actually a national security response, not a public health response, she argues.

According to Lerman’s research, in a sharp break from official pandemic preparedness plans, the National Security Council (NSC) was put in charge of the pandemic policy in 2020. And Health and Human Services (HHS) was removed as the lead federal agency for the pandemic response and replaced with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), who “were like a deer in headlights,” she argues.

What really happened in the first few months of 2020?

And for years now, scientists have been working on mRNA technology, but prior to the COVID-19 vaccines, nothing had been approved. The pandemic turned into an opportunity, she says, and now—despite growing evidence of critical side effects from the mRNA COVID-19 vaccines—Moderna and BioNTech have dozens of new mRNA vaccines and therapeutics in development.

Ten Years After the Boston Marathon Bombing, No One Dares Discuss Why It Happened
BLUF:
[PJ] "I ask Allah to have mercy on me, my brother, and my family," Dzhokhar Tsarnaev
...the pretty, ethnic-Chechen college boy from Dagestan who, with his highly connected, “self-radicalized” older brother, used pressure cooker bombs to blow up the Boston Marathon in 2013. The mosque the brothers frequented, the Islamic Society of Boston, is a hotbed of jihadi sentiment and connections to so many different jihadi groups and individuals the mind boggles. It was founded by Clinton Friend and Al Qaeda financier Abdurahman Alamoudi as a Muslim Student Association/Muslim Brotherhood project in 1981. According to Russian intelligence, whose warning about our lads President Obama’s intelligence agencies ignored until afterward, the Tsarnaev boys had lots of jihadi-connected friends back in the Olde Countrie, too, but nobody seems to have found a formal connection between them and any registered jihadi group. He’s been living in Florence Supermax prison since he was sentenced in 2015...
said in 2015. He gave every indication of being a pious believer, as was his brother, and of this piety being the foundational motivation for the Boston Marathon bombings. So why is there such a universal refusal to discuss the bombers’ motives? Because Islamic advocacy groups in the U.S., notably the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), have successfully convinced the Leftist political and media establishment that informing the public honestly about jihad activity would fuel a dangerous "Islamophobia."

There is no reason why this should be so any more than it is in any other context. Does the Biden regime refrain from speaking about their phantom bogeyman, "white supremacist terror," because innocent white people might be victimized? Of course not. And the same forthrightness should hold for actual threats just as much as for imaginary ones. Otherwise, no lessons will indeed have been learned from the Boston Marathon bombing.

When the FBI was informed by the Russian government about his brother, they contacted him and tried to recruit him to infiltrate terrorist organizations. They did not tell him that their information about him came from Russia, and he instead suspected his wrestling friends here had spied on him. He then murdered all three of them. He then went on to the attack on the marathon, his rage and guilt in his mind atonable by a blow against the hateful Americans, for the glory of ISlam..

Iraq
Iran-Iraq competition in regional maritime and overland transit corridors
[Shafaq News] In recent years, Iraq has become one of the leading destinations for Chinese investments in the Middle East and a crucial link in Beijing's Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). To capitalize on its geostrategic location and central position within the Chinese BRI, Iraq is seeking to develop a sprawling new 54-square-kilometer port project in the far southern town of al-Faw, known as al-Faw Grand Port, which will reduce the country’s reliance on Arab Gulf ports and overland transit from Iran and Turkey for its imports. The project also underscores Iraq’s growing economic rivalry with neighboring Iran, as both countries seek to carve out a similar niche in handling regional transit traffic.

IRAQ’S HURDLES TO DEVELOPMENT
A number of hurdles have hampered Iraq’s efforts to diversify its economy, including extreme underinvestment and widespread corruption. There are some signs that change may be on the horizon, however. Earlier this month, Baghdad reached an agreement with France’s TotalEnergies to move forward with a massive, long-delayed $27 billion energy project, highlighting the potential for foreign investment and partnerships to contribute to Iraq’s economic growth and development. This follows an earlier deal, announced in July 2021, between the Iraqi Ministry of Oil and China National Chemical Engineering Co. (CNCEC), whereby CNCEC will develop an integrated petrochemicals and refining complex at al-Faw capable of producing 300,000 barrels per day (bpd) of oil as well as, in a later second phase, 3 million tons per annum (mtpa) of petrochemicals.

#2  I am now seeing marijuana use among teens to older in heavy use. This stuff is not cheap. No negatives. No second hand smoke issues. Big cash cow is all I see. Yes, some help but over utilized. It is obvious in use as they smell like grass just as in the days Vietnamese came to this country smelling like garlic. Key centers owned by a select few having had inside track with politically connected.

Maryland state troopers have been issued testing units to practice for future use as marijuana use is legalized in July in Maryland. When tested operating a motor vehicle testing positive within an hours use will tag you as DUI violation. Everything you have used, Flu med, metformin all recorded. So take your pick in other words for violations.

#3  No negatives.

Except the chance of triggering paranoid schizophrenia in genetically susceptible. But what’s a few more spree killers in the grand scheme of things?

#4  There's really no sense trying to discuss the downsides of marijuana with its adherents.

They don't have the attention span necessary to follow the arguments.

#6  The turnaround is , if you're not healthier and happier, you don't care.
(Say that to someone with a hangover. See what happens.)

#7  Murcek I'll discuss the merits I get from smoking pot. 1. I don't lose my absolute shit and choke random people out. 2. I like to get fucked up.

#8  While on guard duty in Vietnam a pair passed some Cambodia Red. The red glow allowed a sniper to target him. Last time other smoked in his life. In service smoking pot or doing drugs has got to be a serious problem these days. Zombie idea #5 where you repeat order three times.

Terror Networks
EER Webinar: Beyond Syria and Iraq: The Islamic State’s Growth Around the World
[Shafaq News] It is now four years since the destruction of the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems...
(ISIS) "caliphate". ISIS no longer overtly controls cities in Iraq and Syria, the terrorism wave in Europa
...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum...
and America has been reduced, and three "caliphs" have been eliminated. Unfortunately, ISIS continues to show not only signs of life but of growth.
