-Great Cultural Revolution
Erasing Women
Clarice Feldman
[Am Thinker] I’m not sure why it’s happening -- perhaps it’s a backlash from the most obnoxious of the feminists and their conduct or the widespread denigration of and discrimination against white heterosexual men, but there’s no doubt in my mind that there’s a concerted attack by the culture warriors to erase women, denigrate them, and allow them only symbolic powers -- like choosing the moronic Kamala Harris as vice president instead of someone with a demonstrated and earned record of competence. How long has it been since we’ve seen women we looked up to, like Golda Meier and Maggie Thatcher, wielding political power?

Here's a sample of what I mean.

In 2018, we were told "believe all women" in the context of the Kavanaugh hearings, when his accuser told a fabulous story for which there was no credible evidentiary support and nothing except political bias to believe her.

Now just a few years later, an administration nominee for the Supreme Court down gets tongue-tied when asked to define "woman." It’s confusing. How can we give someone automatic credence based on her sex when that sex defies definition? Well, definitions other than "birthing persons" or "persons who menstruate," but even then, some advance the notion that men (that is transmen) can give birth, and educational institutions are being forced to install free tampon dispensers in male bathrooms.

ESPN honored Lia Thomas for Women’s History Month. Thomas, as far as I know, has all his original male equipment and simply grew his hair long and donned a woman’s bathing suit to cheat women competitors who worked hard to be the best in their ranks. If you recall, Title IX was enacted to ensure women a better shot in sports competitions. Why is it still on the books if anyone can "be" a woman? The pretense that there is no physical differences between the sexes defies all we know about substantial biological differences in strength. Good for Riley Gaines for calling them out on this absurdity:

Riley Gaines: Lia Thomas is not a brave, courageous woman who EARNED a national title. He is an arrogant, cheat who STOLE a national title from hardworking, deserving woman. The NCAA is responsible.

The Federalist has called out nine other like examples.

USA Today included transgender Rachel Levine in its 2022 Women of the Year and then followed up this year in adding Leigh Finke of Minnesota "a pink-haired man who dresses like a woman and has been in office for less than 12 weeks" to its list of women honorees.

Glamour Magazine chose to honor transgender Caitlyn Jenner among its 2015 Women of the Year.

Laverne Cox: "The year before Jenner scored Glamour’s "Woman of the Year" title, the magazine handed it to another man: Roderick Laverne Cox, who now goes by "Laverne." Cox’s award from Glamour followed his June 2014 Time Magazine cover, a glowing profile that openly discussed the trans lobby’s attempt to coopt the gay rights movement and boasted about ’Fixing Nature’s Mistake.’"

Time Magazine last year included M.J. Rodriguez (born Michael Anthony Rodriguez Jr.), a male stage performer among its women of the year.

Male Laurel Hubbard, who finished last in the heavyweight lifting division, still garnered "sportswoman of the year" from a New Zealand college.

California’s Assembly District 7 named Ebony Harper, a man, as its 2021 Woman of the Year. This year, Harper also received a "California Woman Making History" recognition from Lt. Gov. Eleni Kounalakis. He’s the executive director of a group called "California TRANScends."

Californians seem to have particular difficulty figuring out who’s a woman. In addition to Harper, another man who now goes by the moniker Celia Chung was named "Woman of the Year" by his California district. His honor was apparently for having "successfully pressured San Francisco officials to make their city the first in the country to pay for uninsured residents’ mutilative sex surgeries.

Apart from Riley Gaines, another standout in opposition to this nonsense is the author J. K. Rowling, the creator of Harry Potter, came up the hard way to become successful -- she’s one of the richest people in the UK, and she earned it. She lived and wrote while subsisting in poverty until published. She has opposed placing transgender women in women’s prisons and shelters, opposed the denigration of women, and has faced death and boycott threats. In her view, denying biological realities erases women’s’ experiences, and she has expressed her view (which I consider legitimate) that many young girls transition in order to escape the now demeaned womanhood. As a victim of abuse herself, she has said, "[W]hen you throw open the doors of bathrooms and changing rooms to any man who believes he’s a woman, you open the door to any men who wish to come inside."

For her courage and forthright statement of reality, even people who owe their acting careers to her have disowned their connection to her: Daniel Ratcliffe, Emma Watson; Rupert Grint; Bonnie Wright; Harry Melling; David Tennant; Eddie Redmayne; Katherine Waterston; Kattie Leung; and Chris Rankin.

One member of the Potter cast, Jim Broadbent -- older and wiser than these kiddie stars -- voiced his support of Rowling this week.

Actor Jim Broadbent has backed JK Rowling's position on transgender issues, pledging to confront her critics 'if it came to it'. Broadbent, who played the role of Professor Horace Slughorn in three Harry Potter films, said the abuse aimed at the author was 'really sad'.

I predict her career will last far longer than theirs will. In any event, she’s weathering the storm in style, responding to the most recent boycott threat that she’s stocking up on champagne.

Meanwhile, from the administration that can’t define "woman," our gormless Secretary of Transportation just announced that he will be spending $20 million dollars on female crash dummies. I mean, really, how can he tell them apart?

Politico wills it! - Truth tellers like Musk must be destroyed
[Politico] Nobody says, "Hey, look at me!" with an authority and confidence to match that of Elon Musk. Not the Kardashians, not Donald Trump, and not even Marjorie Taylor Greene when she sees a camera following her. Like clockwork, Musk feeds a compulsion to work himself in the daily news cycle with a tweet, a threat, a product promise, a media interview or a stunt like smoking dope on Joe Rogan’s show.

This week alone, Musk earned headlines for vowing to sue Microsoft, for talking to the BBC about the "painful" part of running Twitter, for promising to compete with ChatGPT by creating his own AI platform, for attaching the "government-funded media" label to NPR, BBC and CBC’s accounts and then dropping it, for claiming Twitter is "roughly breaking even," for telling Tucker Carlson birth control will lead to the "end of civilization," for sharing his views on violent crime in San Francisco and for anointing his dog the CEO of Twitter.

As Elon Musk media weeks go, it was a light one. But it illustrates his strategy, almost certainly calculated, to hog our newsfeeds by quipping and provoking those around him, by making promises or predictions, and by lofting crude insults or weird theories. In a free country, there’s no law against being a dork or a fantasist of the Musk type, so we can’t ride him too hard for his incitements. And given his status as one of the world’s richest men, he probably deserves at least some of the outsize attention he draws from the press. But factoring all of that in, why do reporters and editors continue to treat his every gesture from the grandstand as worthy of paper and ink, airtime and Internet pixels? Why has the press become such a willing accomplice in his narcissism?
"Why are we such whores?"

Afghanistan
Failings that Led to the Collapse of Afghanistan Now Fund the Taliban and Prevent Allies from Entering the United States
[CSIS] The Special Inspector General for Afghan Reconstruction (SIGAR) has just issued two devastating reports to Congress on American Failures in Afghanistan. Both should be required reading for everyone in the U.S. national security community.

The first is has a remarkably bland title for its contents: Testimony of John F. Sopko Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction. It was presented as part of Sopko’s testimony to the Committee on Oversight and Accountability of the U.S. House of Representatives on April 19, 2023. The testimony is available here.

The sheer blandness of the title hides the fact that it is probably the best and frankest description to date of the problems that led to the collapse of the Afghan government and forces — and a sweeping Taliban

She is delusional and even the big cheating skills of the party can't pencil whip that big a loss.

Look for the smoke behind the big floor fight in Chicago, because the serious negotiations will be bloody and require major players face-to-face as they flush Jojo's ambitions with careful attention to keeping him on script (as best as he can) until January 2025.

Really smart foreign intelligence agents (except for the Chinese) would be tracking every Executive Airport private jet arrival tail numbers, manifests, and payment records to get the OB map of the true Central Committee membership.
As Central Committee sponsors, the Chinese will be running the counter-intel/smoke and mirrors ops for CNN/MSNBC/ABC/NBC/CBS/NYT/WaPO.

Timeless Glenn Beck Vets Day 2020 clip goes viral; striking parallels resonate with viewers years later
[The Blaze] A clip from a Glenn Beck special highlighting government corruption went viral Friday, garnering millions of views.

"I don't know about you, but I am tired. I am worn out. I am fed up. I've had enough," Beck declared.

"I am tired of exposing corruption ... then once we expose it, nothing happens. Nobody goes to jail. Nobody pays for a d*** thing anymore."

Though the clip was filmed on Veteran's Day in 2020, just after the presidential election, many of the topics he addressed remain front-and-center today. The parallels were so striking and so direct that some commenters may have believed Beck was speaking of issues happening much more recently.

"If you and I did half the things that people in Washington do every day, you and I would go to prison," Beck said, illustrating his point with the example of Hillary Clinton.

"Good has been made evil and evil is made good," he also said, gesturing for emphasis.

They don’t want you to see this ... Big Tech does its best to limit what news you see. Make sure you see our stories daily — directly to your inbox.

"Our children are being indoctrinated with all kinds of crap," he added, noting that children are being told they are racists because of their race and that teachers unions are "out of control."

One commenter described Beck's clip as "the most powerful speech Glenn Beck has ever given."

Horrifyingly incompetent Biden official looks poised to fail upwards (again)
[Washington Examiner] In the real world, being bad at your job will get you fired. Yet, in the government, being bad at your job will get you a massive promotion. At least, that’s seemingly the takeaway from the Biden administration’s bizarre decision to nominate Julie Su to be its next labor secretary.

"Julie is a tested and experienced leader, who will continue to build a stronger, more resilient, and more inclusive economy that provides Americans a fair return for their work and an equal chance to get ahead," the White House said .

MEET JULIE SU, THE WOULD-BE SECRETARY OF FORCED SOCIAL JUSTICE UNIONISM

Su currently serves as deputy labor secretary, but she is seeking Senate confirmation for a promotion to replace outgoing Labor Secretary Marty Walsh. However, prior to becoming a deputy in the Biden administration, she was labor secretary for the state of California — and her tenure was an absolute disaster.

Su personally oversaw the state’s distribution of expanded COVID-19-era unemployment benefits, massively expanded payouts subsidized by federal taxpayers thanks to the so-called CARES Act passed in March 2020. Under her watch, the state gave tens of billions of dollars away to scammers, by its own admission. At least $11.4 billion and possibly up to $31 billion were lost to fraud, local media reported .

In one hilariously depressing example, California reportedly sent $1 billion to fraud rings involving prisoners who were filing fraudulent claims while actively behind bars. The level of bureaucratic incompetence it takes not to realize you’re mailing thousands of unemployment checks to literal inmates is astounding.

"There is no sugarcoating the reality; California did not have sufficient security measures in place to prevent this level of fraud," Su herself admitted in January 2021.

Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) called Su out for this past failure.
Mittens Romney? You gotta know how bad she is if Pierre Delicto is calling her out
"The fact that under your lead, unemployment insurance payments in California of some $31 billion went to people who were basically receiving money on a criminal basis ... $31 billion, that’s about as much as we provided in military aid to Ukraine," the senator lamented. "That’s almost twice the total budget of the Department of Labor."

"In this case, your record there is so severely lacking, I don’t know how in the world it makes sense for the president to nominate you to take over this department," Romney concluded.

Think about this for a second. Julie Su woefully failed as the labor secretary for one state. She lost up to $31 billion in taxpayer dollars to criminals. And President Joe Biden is seeking to promote her and make her labor secretary for the entire nation.

There’s no other word for it: This is madness.

And it’s not even the only issue with Su’s nomination. She’s also facing backlash from workers groups for her past work to implement California’s disastrous anti-freelancer law and criticism for her clear bias against business and in favor of labor unions.

Is this really the best the Biden administration can do? It was supposed to "put the adults back in charge" and "restore normalcy" to the federal government. Instead, it’s promoting incompetent bureaucrats and encouraging them to fail upwards

VDH - The useful veneer of the aging Dem
[Jewish World] President Joe Biden is now 80 years old. He will be 82 when he campaigns for the 2024 presidency — and a clearly debilitated 86 should he be elected and fill out his second term. He has been in government for over a half-century.

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and current representative from California is 83.

Rep. Steny Hoyer, D-Md., the second-ranking Democratic House member behind Pelosi, was House majority leader until early this year. He is 83, and has been an elected official for nearly 60 years.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., is 72, with 48 years in elected government.

Democratic luminary and former chairman of the Senate Judiciary and Intelligence Committees, Senator Diane Feinstein, D-Calif., is 89, and ailing — after 53 years as an elected official.

James Clyburn, D-S.C., is House minority whip and 82.

These are the official faces of the Democratic Party.

They came into power and maturity three decades ago during the Clinton years of 1993-1999.

Decades ago, they sometimes supported strong national defense, secure borders, gas and oil development, fully funding the police, and a few restrictions on partial-birth abortions.

Not now.

"It's a Settlement That Never Should Have Happened…Something Else Had to Have Been Involved." – Harvard Professor and Attorney Dershowitz on FOX Settlement with Dominion
[Gateway] The likelihood of FOX News winning a case with Dominion was better than 50% says Harvard professor Alan Dershowitz.

Attorney and Harvard Professor Alan Dershowitz was on Lindell TV last night with Brannon Howse to discuss the FOX News and Dominion settlement that was announced this week.

FOX News agreed to pay Dominion Voting Machines $787 million in a settlement. This astronomical amount was shocking to all who read about it.

Dershowitz shared that the most shocking thing about this settlement is "that it happened"

#5  I think the problem for Fox was that they didn't always weasel during reports, e.g., 'we have an allegation that...'. There were probably some very nasty things said that Fox didn't want to come out during trial, e.g., "I don't care if it is true or not, I want this on the air NOW"

#6  Settlement/payoff is a reasonable theory.
Another is that Fox looked at the judge and potential jury and decided they were going to lose.

Changing roles of Russia, China in the Middle East, Part I
[NPASyria] It was a classic T-bone collision. Northeast Syria, where speed limits and lane direction are open to interpretation, sees dozens of traffic accidents a day. But the one on August 26, 2020, near the city of Derik (al-Malikiya) in the far northeast Syria, was different. A Russian military patrol purposely rammed a US army convoy, leaving four American servicemen with concussions. It was, in fact, the first physical altercation between the armed forces of both countries since the beginning of the Cold War. The attack did not escalate beyond road rage, but it highlights the claustrophobic and volatile space which regional and global superpowers share in the Middle East, and especially in Syria.

On March 10, a new global player seemed eager to establish itself in this crowded space. Chinese media reported that the country’s top diplomat, Wang Yi, had brokered a rapprochement between the Middle East’s two main heavyweights — Saudi Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian Peninsula. Until the accession of King Salman the place was under the thumb of Wahhabi holy men and was the driving force behind Salafist terrorism world-wide. Western intelligence agencies, even the dumb ones, were wise to this from at least September 12th, 2001, but politicians were reluctant to upset the international applecart. Once we started assassinating people instead of invading them the Saudis quietly folded the Death to Infidels tent, did some assassinating of their own, started modernizing, and pretended that Osama bin Laden thing had never happened...
and Iran. It was an unprecedented foray into the world of Middle East politics for Beijing, which had never so openly intervened in the region. What does this development herald for the people of the Middle East?
