Chinese-Affiliated Miners Bribed Dogo Gide Terror Group To Access Mining Sites In Nigeria’s Niger State

Terrorists Regrouping, Gaining Ground In North-West, North Central Nigeria
[SAHARAREPORTERS] Bandits have started regrouping and gaining ground in the North-West and North Central following the respective governors' gross incompetence and incapability, SaharaReporters can report.

Following inquiries about the resurgence of attacks in Sokoto, Zamfara, Kebbi, Kaduna, Katsina, Niger, and Plateau states, a senior military officer who recently retired from service confirmed to SaharaReporters that had started regrouping and gaining ground in the regions.

Meanwhile,
...back at the comedy club, Boogie ducked another tomato...
all the states mentioned have new governors. Former governors of Plateau and Sokoto, Simon Lalong and Aminu Waziri Tambuwal failed to get their governorship candidates to win, while Bello Muhammad Matawalle of Zamfara lost his reelection bid.

The other former governors finishing their second term secured their states for their anointed candidates.

Security officers who spoke on condition of anonymity were actively involved in operations in both zones.

One of the sources said that the inter-state architecture and collaboration put in place by the immediate past governors for eight years with the military, police, Department of State Services (DSS) and other agencies was no longer active.

"I was among the experts assembled to assess the factors responsible for the renewed attacks and solutions in the North West and North Central. The frightening discovery was due to the new governors' ignorance and incompetence.

"The problems are incomprehensible to them, and there is no tangible evidence to observe and observe. As of May 2023, notorious bandidos like Dogo Gide, Karami, Turji, Ali Kachala and Boderi were running around for cover and denied freedom of action. They also lost many foot soldiers.

"Regrettably, the tide reversed and a few of them quietly began talking and paying bandidos behind, interrupting operations. And now, the bandidos have resumed killings, kidnappings, cattle rustling, and looting because they have acquired more weapons.

"If bandidos are asking for negotiation, they are definitely losing ground and it's a tactic to buy time. But they will never stop kidnapping for ransom because of the proceeds which run into millions of naira.

"They are always blaming the military and police after attacks, forgetting that this is asymmetric warfare. What can we do? Did they carry on with the system they met on the ground?"

Another security source recalled that actionable intelligence was actively sought from locals before the former governors left office but regretted that it was no longer the case.

The source said, "There was a system where actionable intelligence was actively sourced from locals and relayed to the military and police, aside from what comes from the DSS which gives us an edge ahead of the holy warriors and other things I will not mention. Currently, none of these things are working.

"They are busy travelling and shouting investments. Who will invest in Sokoto, Zamfara, Kebbi, Katsina, Kaduna, Niger, and Plateau? Listening to them talk about recruiting vigilantes is laughable. Can vigilantes confront these holy warriors and bandidos?

"Anyway, we will submit our recommendations, but as I said, they must reactivate what was working and stop this demonstration of insensitivity. It is necessary for them to wake up from their slumber."

Bandits have been carrying out heinous attacks since the new governors assumed leadership in these zones.

In July, bandidos killed over 45 villagers in Raka, Raka Dutse and Filingawa in the Tangaza local government area of Sokoto state aside from rustling cattle and looting shops.
On Wednesday, bandidos killed four persons and kidnapped over 30 villagers in Giyawa village of Goronyo local government area in the same Sokoto State. Other local government areas affected are Sabon Birni, Gwadabawa, and Ilela.

In Niger State, over 20 troops comprising officers and men were killed in August and in Zamfara, the bandidos have continued to carry out kidnappings and killings in Maru, Maradun, Gusau, Shinkafi, Bungudu, Zurmi and Anka areas.

The situation is similar in Kaduna where dozens have been killed and kidnapped in Birnin Gwari, Chikun, Giwa, Kachia, Kagarko, Zangon Kataf and Kajuru local government areas.

New front of attacks have also been recorded in Bauchi and Kano states and parts of the Federal Capital Territory.

Video shows train filled with migrants heading toward US southern border from Mexico
NOW...we could use a train wreck, Pete. /sarc
It’s a Mexican train. He has no power there.
[FoxNews] Migrants heard cheering as train rode toward US southern border

A FerroMex train out of Zacatecas, Mexico and heading toward the U.S. southern border was packed with migrants who could be heard cheering while hanging off the sides of the cars, video shows.

The train was captured on video on Sunday, despite the U.S. sending a stern message to migrants: "do not come."

Border patrols along the southern border have been facing overwhelming numbers of illegal crossings.

For instance, Ajo, Arizona saw 2,000 illegal crossings a day for several straight days last week, forcing agents to resort to street releases because shelters are packed. The migrants include people from Africa.

Last month, there were well over 20,000 migrants in Border Patrol custody, according to a U.S. Customs and Border Protection source, in the Rio Grande Valley sector in Texas.

Caravans heading toward the southern border included families with infants and children, along with unaccompanied minors.

Of the families that were stopped along the Rio Grande Valley, many were released with future court dates.

The Biden Administration is considering forcing migrants who cross into the U.S. to illegally remain in Texas while they wait out their asylum screening.

Officials with the administration have cited the plan as a way to curb the flow of illegal immigrants at the southern border. The plan would also include the implementation of ankle bracelets to track their location, for migrants who are actually caught. But the administration sued Texas to force it to remove a barrier the state floated in the Rio Grande in an effort to curb the historic level of illegal migration. The Biden administration also sued Arizona for building a barrier out of shipping containers on its border with Mexico.

Since May, DHS has removed or returned over 200,000 people, the agency said.

Texas has been operating a busing program to transport migrants to "sanctuary cities" like New York, Chicago, Philadelphia and Los Angeles to provide relief to border towns.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott argues that Texas cities have carried the weight of illegal immigration and "sanctuary cities" need to share that burden.

"Texas has bused over 35,000 migrants to self-declared sanctuary cities," he wrote earlier this month on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. "Over 11,300 to D.C., over 13,300 to NYC, over 6,700 to Chicago, over 2,600 to Philadelphia, over 1,000 to Denver, over 480 to LA."

Europe
Germany: Migrant deportations rise sharply
From a month ago. They keep saying this, but a closer look at the numbers keeps showing that while rejections of applications increase, in very few cases are the rejectees required to actually leave.
[DW] Germany has stepped up the return of asylum seekers from Georgia, North Macedonia, Albania, Moldova and Serbia, whose applications were rejected. More migrants colonists are returning home voluntarily too.

Deportations of failed asylum seekers increased by more than a quarter in the first six months of 2023, data from Germany's Interior Ministry showed Saturday.

Some 7,861 people were removed from the country between January and June, a rise of 27% over the same period last year. Of those deported, 1,664 were women, and 1,375 were minors.
See?
The increase follows a fall in the number of people deported during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The data was requested by the Socialist Left Party and published in the Neue Osnabrucker Zeitung.

EUROPEAN MIGRANTS COLONISTS RETURNED TO HOME COUNTRIES
The statistics showed that most of the migrants colonists were returned to Georgia, North Macedonia, Albania, Moldova and Serbia, their countries of origin. Many of the deportees — 2,473 people — were taken to the border with Austria.

The European Union
...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing...
's Dublin rules on asylum state that claims should be handled by the first country a migrant or refugee lands in.

The number of people who left the country voluntarily also increased, with 4,892 people accepting federal funding to return to their home country, and 2,309 people receiving state or local funding.
Golly. Some increase.
By law, those whose asylum applications are rejected or whose visas or residence permits have expired must leave Germany.

DEPORTATIONS ARE OFTEN SHELVED
The immigration authorities must carry out their deportation if there are no mitigating factors such as illness or other grounds for temporary suspension. However,
facts are stubborn; statistics are more pliable...
these deportations often fail.

According to the Interior Ministry data, 520 deportation attempts had to be aborted in the first half of the year.

The most common reasons were resistance from those being ejected, refusal by pilots or airlines to carry the deportee, and refusal by the federal police to take them into custody.

By the end of June, 279,098 people failed asylum seekers who were required to leave were still living in Germany. Almost 225,000 of them had a Duldung (tolerated stay permit), which is sometimes offered despite their asylum application being rejected.
Q.E.D. Really, why do the authorities waste their time on this?
A report earlier this year also showed that thousands of deported migrants colonists had sneaked back into the country.

The new data was criticized by Left Party migration policy spokeswoman Clara Bunger.

"All too often, this forces people back to places where they face war, extreme poverty, and hopelessness under the threat or use of violence. This is irresponsible," Bunger told the EPD news agency.

NEW EU, FEDERAL RULES DUE
German Interior Minister Nancy Faeser wants to tighten the rules on deportation and earlier this month, she presented a draft document that would give police more powers to enforce returns.

The EU is also working on reforms to the asylum system, which will include changes to deportation rules.

EU scrambles to address Italy island migrant surge
[AlAhram] The European Union
...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing...
said Saturday that its top official Ursula von der Leyen would visit the Italian island of Lampedusa, after Rome called on Brussels for help after a surge in migrant arrivals.

The president of the European Commission, the EU's executive arm, will head to the island on Sunday with Italia's Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, officials from both sides said.

Before that, the interior ministers from Italia, La Belle France, Germany and Spain held a phone call Saturday afternoon with the EU's home affairs commissioner on the crisis.

Meloni has urged the EU to act to relieve the pressure after thousands of people landed in boats over three days this week on Lampedusa, just 90 miles (145 kilometres) off the coast of Tunisia.

The spike in arrivals has rekindled the debate over how Europa
...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum...
shares responsibility for asylum seekers.

Lampedusa, Italia's southernmost island, has long been a landing point for migrant boats from North Africa. But this week its migration centre, built to house fewer than 400 people, was overwhelmed.

Between Monday and Wednesday, around 8,500 people -- more than the entire local population -- arrived in 199 boats, according to the UN migration agency.

'UNSUSTAINABLE'
Images of people sleeping in the open air, scaling the perimeter fence and wandering around the town, sparked anger among members of Italia's hard-right government.

The congestion eased as officials transferred thousands of migrants colonists from the tiny island of Lampedusa to Sicily on Friday

While hundreds more were being moved across on Saturday morning, there were further arrivals by sea. The Italian Red Thingy said 2,500 people remained at the overcrowded migration centre.

Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini has called the arrivals an "act of war", and on Friday, Meloni urged the European Union to do more to help.

"The migratory pressure that Italia has been experiencing since the beginning of the year is unsustainable," she said.

She urged von der Leyen to visit Lampedusa and asked European Council President Charles Michel to put the matter on the agenda for October's EU summit.

Von der Leyen -- with Meloni's strong backing -- struck an agreement with Tunisia in July aimed at curbing the flow of irregular migration from the North African country.

ARRIVALS DOUBLE
Tunisia is a main embarcation point for migrants colonists making the perilous sea-crossing to Europe each year.

More than 127,000 migrants colonists have arrived on Italia's shores so far this year, up from more than 66,000 in the same period last year.

Over 2,000 people have died this year crossing from North Africa to Italia and Malta, according to the UN migration agency.

Mass migration is a key political issue in several EU capitals ahead of European Parliament elections next June.

In La Belle France, members of the far right said the government should not allow any migrants colonists from Lampedusa across the border from Italia.

French Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne said Saturday that the time had come "first and foremost to show solidarity with Italia" and "mobilise" the European Union.

She said La Belle France's President Emmanuel Macron would hold talks with Meloni.

Germany earlier this week confirmed it had stopped accepting migrants colonists living in Italia under a European solidarity plan aimed at easing pressure on EU border nations.

The EU is pushing to overhaul its rules on how to handle the thousands of migrants colonists heading to the continent.

Southern countries that face large numbers of arrivals such as Italia, Greece and Spain have long pressed for other countries to take more of those who come.

But right-wing governments in Poland and Hungary have strongly opposed an agreement.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Israel denies report Saudis suspending normalization talks over Palestinian issue
Negotiating in public with all the drama of the souk. But in private they’ve been working together for over twenty years, so it doesn’t matter nearly as much as is claimed — and it lets the Biden administration feel like they’re important.
[IsraelTimes] Saudi-owned site says hardline Netanyahu government’s refusal to make concessions to Paleostinians at heart of decision to pull away; Israeli, US officials say it’s untrue.

A Saudi-owned newspaper reported Sunday that the nation has told the Biden administration it is freezing US-brokered efforts to normalize relations with Israel because Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s hardline government is unwilling to make any concessions to the Paleostinians. An Israeli and an American official both said the report was false. According to the report in the Elaph newspaper, supposedly citing officials in Netanyahu’s office, the US has informed Israel of the Saudi stance.
Ah. A game of telephone involving anonymous sources — what odds everyone properly heard what was being said, there were no cultural/language miscommunications, and absolutely no one in the chain (including the Saudi news site staff and especially the Biden administration functionairies) had ulterior motives coloring what was said or heard?
It said that Israel was "confused" by the move, believing that the Saudis were prepared to move ahead with normalizing ties without linking it to the progress on the Paleostinian issue.

Days After Biden Approves $6 Billion Ransom Deal, Iran Takes Another Westerner Hostage
[LI] ValJar and Obama continue their patronage
President Trump: ’How much of a kickback does Crooked Joe Biden get?’
Days after President Joe Biden bypassed the congress to approve a $6-billion ransom payment to Iran, the Mullah regime has taken another Western national hostage as part of its ongoing ’hostage diplomacy,’ media reports say.

On Saturday, Iran’s Islamic Guard (IRGC) disclosed that it has taken yet another Westerner in its custody, less than a week after Biden White House agreed to pay $6 billion for the release of 5 U.S. hostages. The media reports did not specify if the captive is a U.S. or a European national.
The check cleared, they're ready for the next.
"The Biden administration has cleared the way for the release of five American citizens detained in Iran by issuing a blanket waiver for international banks to transfer $6 billion in frozen Iranian money," the Associated Press reported Tuesday.
