Incident occurred around 7PM, and started in parking lot and migrated to the roof. Never inside the school where students were involved in after-hours activities. Few additional facts available, but not a hostage or school invasion scenario, perhaps because of prompt LE reaction? DOJ involvement seems premature but perhaps protocol triggered at SWAT roll-out to a school location?
Overnighted at Walmart!
Ahahaha...
[FoxNews] Police say that the four thieves stole $234,500 in dimes from the truck.
Federal authorities unsealed charges against four men who earlier this year allegedly broke into an unmarked trailer containing 2 million dimes in Philadelphia.
Authorities say that 25-year-old Rakiem Savage, 31-year-old Ronald Byrd, 30-year-old Haneef Palmer and 32-year-old Malik Palmer face conspiracy, robbery, theft of government money and other charges.
Authorities said that the truck filled with dimes was headed from the U.S. Mint in Philadelphia to Miami, Florida when the heist occurred on April 13.
During the night, the driver parked the trailer in a Walmart parking. The thieves broke into it there.
Authorities said that the group made off with a portion of its cargo of $750,000 in dimes, a shipment weighing about six tons.
The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that prosecutors say that theft the was part of a spree of robberies from tractor-trailers passing through the region that included the theft of frozen crab legs, shrimp, meat, beer and liquor.
Detectives said at the time that surveillance video showed six men, dressed in gray hoodies and armed with bolt cutters, approaching the truck in the middle of the night and breaking into it, then loading the coins into smaller bags and into a waiting truck.
The indictment unsealed Friday alleges that after the theft, thousands of dimes were converted into cash at coin machines in Maryland or through deposits to at least four different suburban Philadelphia banks, the newspaper reported.

So, the money was going from the US Mint in Philly to Miami, and the driver overnighted at a Walmart in Philly. He sure made it a long way before he had to take a break. Clear across town.

[FoxNews] High schoolers in Oregon won't need to demonstrate basic competency in reading, writing or math in order to graduate for at least five more years because, according to education officials, such requirements are unnecessary and disproportionately harm students of color.
"At some point … our diploma is going to end up looking a lot more like a participation prize than an actual certificate that shows that someone actually is prepared to go pursue their best future," former Oregon gubernatorial candidate Christine Drazan told Fox News.
The essential skills requirement has been on pause since the coronavirus pandemic, and last week the Oregon State Board of Education voted unanimously to continue suspending the graduation requirement through the 2027-2028 school year.
Under the requirement, 11th graders had to demonstrate competence in essential subjects through a standardized test or work samples. Students who failed to meet expectations were required to take extra math and writing classes in their senior year — thus missing an elective class — in order to graduate.
Board members said the standards were unnecessary and harmed marginalized students since higher rates of students of color, students with disabilities and students learning English as a second language ended up having to take the extra step to prove they deserved a diploma, The Oregonian reported.
Board Chair Guadalupe Martinez Zapata previously described the opposition as a "campaign of misinformation" and "artistic quality mental acrobatics."
"If only they weren't automatically discredited by the myopic analysis and bigotry that follows them," Martinez Zapata said in a late September meeting, adding that "rhetoric about cultural and social norms being the underlying reason for underperformance on assessments by systemically marginalized students" was reminiscent of "racial superiority arguments."
Oregon has one of the lowest graduation rates compared to other states, according to Oregon Public Broadcasting, but also has among the most rigorous credit requirements.
Who of course won't be harmed at all in the larger adult society they are headed for with an inability to read, write, or do basic math. No, won't be a problem for them at all!

The move towards electric vehicles is the ultimate totalitarian move--it restricts freedom of movement. Any action that throws a wrench in how quickly that comes about works for me.

Employees of companies that have a dying business model go on strike for a bigger cut. I would say let them kill it off, but then they'll say the public will have to bail them out.

Chevron's big Hess Oil buy tells me the long term outlook for oil and gasoline fuels vehicles is far from over. The whole green/EV/climate change reset is fraying rapidly. But any basement buying opportunity for Ford preferred A, assuming the basement isn't radioactive or rubble, is still some time away.
[FoxNews] Off-duty Alaska Airlines pilot reportedly tried to shut down plane's engines from cockpit.
A flight that took off from Washington state bound for San Francisco was diverted to Portland, Oregon, over a "credible security threat" Sunday, airline officials confirmed to Fox News Digital.
A man, identified as an off-duty Alaska Airlines pilot, has since been arrested and charged with more than 80 counts of attempted murder after he tried to disable the plane's engines while the plane was airborne, the Seattle Times reported.
"Alaska Airlines Flight 2059 operated by Horizon Air from Everett, WA (PAE) to San Francisco, CA (SFO) reported a credible security threat related to an authorized occupant in the flight deck jump seat. The crew secured the aircraft without incident," Alaska Airlines said in a statement to Fox News Digital on Monday.
"Following appropriate FAA procedures and guidance from air traffic control, the flight safely diverted to Portland International Airport. The event is being investigated by law enforcement authorities," the airline added. "All passengers on board were able to travel on a later flight. We are grateful for the professional handling of the situation by the Horizon flight crew and appreciate our guests’ calm and patience throughout this event."
A senior law enforcement source confirmed to Fox News there's no relation to terrorism at this point in the investigation.

[FoxNews] Footage of someone emptying their bladder into ingredients used in creating Tsingtao beer has prompted the Chinese brewery and authorities to look into the situation.
Tsingtao Brewery on Monday informed consumers and investors of the investigation. Its announcement came not long after video of a hard hat-donning man urinating into a large, open vat for one of its Pingdu facilities gained massive attention on the Weibo social media platform late last week.
"The company places high importance on the media reports and has reported the matter to public security authorities at the first opportunity," CNBC reported the company said. "The public security authorities are presently involved in the investigation."

[Gateway] Now that Poland has fallen to the siren song of Globalism and former liberal PM Donald Tusk is set to return to power, Hungary is the next nationalist target in the European Union.
Prime Minister Viktor Orbán kicked off the campaign towards next year’s European Parliamentary Elections aiming his criticism at the EU’s unabashed authoritarianism, that he compared to another ’Union’ of the past: the Soviet Union.
The Guardian reported:
"Speaking in Veszprém, Hungarian prime minister Viktor Orbán poked fun at the EU’s rule of law measures against Hungary and called Brussels a bad parody.
’Fortunately, Brussels is not Moscow — Moscow was a tragedy, Brussels is only a bad contemporary parody. We had to dance as Moscow whistled. Even if Brussels whistles, we dance as we want, and if we don’t want to, we don’t dance.’
But while the Soviet Union was hopeless, the EU is not, the prime minister said, pointing to next year’s European parliament election.
’Moscow was beyond repair, but Brussels and the European Union can be repaired’."
Orbán ramped up the criticism of the bloc’s leaders on Monday, after 13 years of power in a constant struggle against EU globalist policies such as LGBT and migration.
He also tightened state controls over NGOs, academics, the courts and media, in an attempt to avoid liberal infiltration.
Liberals rallied in Budapest to protest Orbán’s agenda. Some fear Hungary might leave the EU altogether, a prospect the Prime Minister has repeatedly dismissed.

[REGNUM] When on October 17, the National Electoral Commission of Poland announced the results of the Sejm elections, in which the ruling Law and Justice party (PiS) took the lead with 194 seats out of 460, but the following three opposition forces together received 248 mandates, plus 18 seats - “Confederation”, most commentators, as a matter of course, positioned the “troika” as a kind of single monolith.
However, this idea still needs to be tested in practice.
“Civic Platform”, “New Left” and “Third Way” are a political “dragon”, Serpent Gorynych with three heads, the connecting element of which is the desire to remove “Law and Justice” from power (preferably forever), and some figures of the ruling party put in jail.
In Russian folk tales, the Serpent Gorynych was a fairly stable construction from the point of view of internal organization. How does this apply to the three Polish opposition forces?
On Tuesday-Wednesday (October 24-25), Polish President Andrzej Duda will test the troika. He will speak in turn with representatives of the five forces that made it into the Sejm, given that PiS also has a tiny chance of enlisting the support of the 231 newly elected deputies.
According to the head of the presidential chancellery , Pavel Shrot , during the consultations Duda will ask questions about party programs, primarily about security and defense issues, as well as about the vision for solving social and economic problems. Schroth noted that the president must be fully aware of the extent to which the likely ruling coalition that will be presented to him “will turn out to be internally coherent ,” because “it is obvious that he has doubts.”
This made it clear that the three opposition forces have weak points that Duda, whose election as president in 2015 and 2020 was thanks to Law and Justice, could put pressure on.
Some of these “pain points” have begun to be identified in the public space.
The most problematic link is the left.
The New Left has the fewest seats in the troika - 26 (Civic Platform - 157, Third Way - 65), but without them it is impossible to take a majority. At the same time, they insist that ideological issues, in particular, the liberalization of abortion, be spelled out in the future coalition agreement.
With this point, the New Left went to the elections and won. The almost complete ban on abortion in Poland, lobbied by Law and Justice three years ago, brought down the party's ratings, which it has never been able to recover. And the massive turnout of women at the polls on October 15 led to the victory of the three opposition forces.
However, liberalizing abortion is a taboo for the Polish Peasant Party (PSL), part of the Third Way. Its conservative electorate will not forgive agreement with the left on this issue. Therefore, the PSL leadership is already declaring that under no circumstances will they allow any mention of abortion to appear in the coalition agreement.
This is one example of potential “blood clots” during the development of a formal agreement by the opposition “troika”. In fact there are more of them.
That is why Duda agreed to talk one-on-one with representatives of the five parties in a confidential atmosphere.
Firstly, this will make it possible to better sense the potential vulnerabilities of a possible coalition of opposition forces. Secondly, to create an atmosphere of suspicion and mistrust between its participants, when each of them suspects the other or others that they went a little further in their communication with the president than they should have.
Realizing this, the troika is trying to implement the advanced scenario.
“ On Tuesday morning, opposition leaders will publish a joint statement on the formation of a new government,” the Rzeczpospolita newspaper reports. “ The purpose of this statement, according to our interlocutors from various opposition circles, is to create a new political situation even before Duda holds consultations with the leaders of all the forces whose deputies will be included in the new parliament.”
In this case, the “troika” is in a hurry to sign, if not the full and final text of the coalition agreement, then at least agree on and publish its main points in order to narrow the space for maneuvers and intrigues for the president. First of all, this concerns the candidate for the post of prime minister.
The Civic Platform insists that its leader, Donald Tusk, should head the government.
However, Duda can play on the ambitions of the remaining members of the “troika”, for example, by entrusting the mission of forming a government to the chairman of the Polish Peasant Party, Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz .
The fact that the president is not going to tie his hands by the tradition of entrusting the creation of a government to a representative of the winning party or coalition, in our case the Law and Justice party, was hinted by a senior official in the presidential office, Małgorzata Paprocka . According to her, the Constitution leaves “ this issue absolutely to the discretion of the President .”
So the opposition troika faces a difficult task.
After all, the coordination of the position of the candidate for prime minister comes as a package with the determination of who will become deputy prime minister, occupy leading ministries, and head the Sejm and Senate of Poland. Analysts suggest that difficulties here may again arise due to the “New Left”, who are applying for posts “out of rank.”
Tuesday will be the day that will show how ready the “troika” is to work harmoniously. Or it will turn out that the idea of \u200b\u200brevenge on “Law and Justice” in general and its leader Jaroslaw Kaczynski in particular is insufficient for the survival of the Polish opposition Serpent Gorynych.
