Nigeria calls for Niger Junta to free ousted president Mohamed Bazoum
[AFRICANEWS] Nigeria is calling for the release of ousted Niger president Mohammed Bazoum and for the military junta to allow him to leave for a third country, its foreign minister said.

Nigeria is current chair of the regional group Economic Community of West African States or ECOWAS which has imposed sanctions on Niger following the July coup that ousted Bazoum.

ECOWAS had been demanding Bazoum's immediate return to the presidency, but the military junta has kept him in detention and says it may need up to three years for a return to civilian rule.

"We are asking them to release President Bazoum so that he will be allowed to leave Niger," Nigerian Foreign Minister Yusuf Tuggar told local Channels TV news in an interview published on its website at the weekend.

"He will no longer be in jug. He will go to a third country that is mutually agreed. And then we start talking about the removal of sanctions."

He said ECOWAS was still open to talks with Niger's junta.

"You know, the opportunity is there. We are always ready, willing, and able to listen to them and the ball is in their court."

ECOWAS leaders will meet in Nigeria's capital Abuja on December 10 to discuss the region, where since 2020 coups have put military juntas in power in Mali, Burkina Faso

Israel OTOH not as long. My guess , a few months.

Two State has been tried, butt the Palestinian keep F***ing it up by refusing to practice effective self governance.

I suggest that Macron concentrate on the French 'vermin' problems and not worry about other countries.

Since much HAMAS Leadership has already been decapitated.

HISTORICALLY WHERE WE GO FROM HERE
Generally speaking, it seems when this happens. The DC Swamp steps in and releases $$B to either IRAN or another Arab nation.

Which then funds, or rearms, a Terrorist Group.
While many of the beaten terrorist lower rank and file take roles in a New Terrorist Group, or join an already established terror group needing more cannon fodder soldiers.

Then the MIC literary sells boat loads of weapons to the other side using US Taxpayer $$$$$$. Which frequently also get used to kill or maim US Troops.

While a few Political/Elite Families get 5, 6 and 7 $-Figure jobs or positions to do little or nothing.

Denmark orders military to protect Jewish, Israeli sites amid rising antisemitism, terror threat
[IsraelTimes] The Danish government has ordered the military to assist police protecting Jewish and Israeli sites, Bloomberg reports.

Denmark’s Defense Ministry says troops will help protect a number of sites, including the Israeli embassy and the synagogue in Copenhagen.

"The terrorist threat against Denmark is serious," says Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsenm, according to the news outlet. "And the conflict in the Middle East has led to a completely unacceptable rise in antisemitism and more uncertainty among Jews in Denmark."

Lawfare: Father of Palestinian American boy slain near Chicago files wrongful death suit

[IsraelTimes] Landlord who allegedly murdered 6-year-old, stabbed his mother in hate crime tied to Israel-Hamas
...one of the armed feet of the Moslem Brüderbund millipede,...
war, accused along with wife and management company of not protecting tenants

The father of a 6-year-old Paleostinian American boy fatally stabbed in what authorities allege was a hate crime triggered by Hamas’s attacks on Israel has filed a wrongful death lawsuit.

Oday al-Fayoume filed the lawsuit last month against the suburban reliably Democrat Chicago, aka The Windy City or Mobtown
...home of Al Capone, the Chicago Black Sox, a succession of Daleys, Barak Obama, and Rahm Emmanuel...
landlord charged in the attack that left his child dead and the boy’s mother seriously maimed.
The journalist has to write the boy’s mother, because Mr. al-Fayoume divorced her some time ago. What odds that he is doing nothing at all to support her now, but is just seeking to cash out from the situation?
The attack — which has renewed fears of anti-Islamic discrimination in the Chicago area’s large Paleostinian community — has drawn condemnation from the White House.

Authorities allege Joseph Czuba, 71, targeted Wadea al-Fayoume and his mother Hanaan Shahin, on October 14 because of their Moslem faith and as a response to the war between Israel and Hamas. Czuba pleaded not guilty
"Wudn't me."
in October to hate crime and murder charges.

War erupted between Israel and Hamas after the terror group’s October 7 massacre, which saw some 3,000 bully boyz burst across the border into Israel from the Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
Strip by land, air and sea, killing some 1,200 people, mostly civilians, and seizing over 240 hostages.

The wrongful death lawsuit filed November 21 in Will County names Czuba, his wife, Mary Czuba, both of Plainfield, and their property management company, Discerning Property Management.

Joseph Czuba allegedly told his wife to inform Shahin he wanted the family gone from the apartment where they’d lived for two years. He also allegedly said he was afraid Shahin’s "Paleostinian friends were going to harm them," according to the lawsuit.

The lawsuit claims Mary Czuba and the management company "were indifferent and failed to recognize a threat and prevent serious bodily harm" to their tenants. A hearing is set for March 11.

"Justice comes in many forms ... and there is, obviously, unbelievable loss in Wadea, but his mother also was injured seriously, and we believe that there are avenues to recover compensation for what the family’s been through," said Ben Crane, Oday al-Fayoume’s lawyer.

The Czubas do not yet have an attorney in the wrongful death case and Mary Czuba has filed paperwork to divorce Joseph Czuba, according to court records.

Czuba remains detained in Will County as he awaits a January hearing in the criminal case. His attorney, George Lenard, has said he won’t comment on the case outside court.

#3  Wrongful death suit seems reasonable; probably was a 'hate crime' but that should be irrelevant. Convict the guy of murdering the kid and at 71 he should not leave prison alive, nor need any assets that might be seized (though ought to go to the support of the mother, not the baby daddy.)

Poliovirus cases in Pakistan rise to 6 as disease cripples another child in KP
[GEO.TV] A nine-month-old baby has been diagnosed with polio
...Poliomyelitis is a disease caused by infection with the poliovirus. Between 1840 and the 1950s, polio was a worldwide epidemic. Since the development of polio vaccines the disease has been largely wiped out in the civilized world. However, since the vaccine is known to make Moslem pee-pees shrink and renders females sterile, bookish, and unsubmissive it is not widely used by the turban and automatic weapons set. Currently the disease is only found in Pakistain and Afghanistain...
virus in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa's Orakzai district, taking the total number of cases in Pakistain to six this year, The News reported on Sunday.

The diagnosis has caused a setback to the government's rigorous efforts towards the eradication of polio from the country, particularly KP where the number of cases saw an increase this year and the latest taking the tally to four.

Commenting on the new case found in the KP province, Caretaker Health Minister Dr Nadeem Jan, said: "A nine-month-old child from the Orakzai district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa has been paralysed by poliovirus. This is the fourth polio case from KP and 6th polio case in Pakistain. Earlier, three polio cases were reported from Bannu and two from Bloody Karachi
...formerly the capital of Pakistain, now merely its most important port and financial center. It is among the largest cities in the world, with a population of 18 million, most of whom hate each other and many of whom are armed and dangerous...
," he said, speaking with The News on Saturday.

Genetically, according to the minister, this case is 99.7% linked with the environmental sample of Lahore (Multan
...Home of the Multan Sultans...
Road), which was collected on September 26, 2023, and it is the continuation of the imported cluster in 2023. This is the first case from Orakzai district after almost 12 years.

On the other hand, the Regional Reference Laboratory for Polio Eradication at the National Institute of Health (NIH), Islamabad, also confirmed the detection of Type-1 Wild Poliovirus (WPV1) in 20 environmental (sewage) samples collected in November 2023.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman to become Pakistan's next president, claims JUI-F
[GEO.TV] JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman
...Deobandi holy man, known as Mullah Diesel during the war against the Soviets, his sympathies for the Taliban have never been tempered by honesty. Fazl seldom misses a meal and is now so large he has his own gravitational pull...
will become Pakistain’s next president no matter whether Pakistain Moslem League-Nawaz (PML-N) or Pakistain Pakistain Peoples Party (PPP) secures a majority in parliament following general elections scheduled for February next year, claimed a JUI-F spokesperson on Sunday.

Incumbent President Arif Alvi's five-year term ended on September 8 this year. However,
it was a brave man who first ate an oyster...
he is currently continuing as the country's head of state under Article 44 of the Constitution which allows the president to continue holding the office in the absence of the provincial and national assemblies — which were dissolved in January and August earlier this year, respectively.

The President of Pakistain is elected in a special session of the parliament, senate and all four provincial assemblies in accordance with Article 41 (3) of the constitution.

Alvi is the fourth head of state to complete his full term. The previous three presidents who completed their five-year terms were the fifth president Fazal Ilahi Chaudhry (1973 to 1978), the 11th president Asif Ali Ten Percent Zardari
...former president of Pakistain, husband of the late Benazir Bhutto, who has been singularly lacking in curiosity about who done her in...
(2008 to 2013), and the 12th president Mamnoon Hussain (2013 to 2018).

In an interview with a local TV channel, JUI-F leader Hafiz Hamdullah said if Fazl can be made the head of the Pakistain Democratic Movement (PDM), a multiparty alliance, then he can also be made the country's president, Geo News reported.

#1  As a young man the Maulana held the first important gathering of Islamist radicals following the Soviet expulsion from Afghanistan. He was known as a supporter of the Taliban movement in Afghanistan. A leader of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam movement, Rehman was elected as the member of the National Assembly in 1988 Pakistani general elections for the first time, and from that time to present maintained a close relationship with the Afghan Taliban. Wiki: Rehman led several anti-American protests and pro-Taliban rallies in the major cities of Pakistan following the war in Afghanistan in 2001. He criticizsed President of United States George W. Bush, and threatened to launch jihad against the United States if the bombings continued. ... In October 2001, PM Musharraf placed Fazal under house arrest for inciting citizens of Pakistan against the armed forces of Pakistan and for trying to overthrow the government of Pakistan. Later in March 2002, Fazal was set free and the cases against him were withdrawn. He has remained politically active since.

ICC prosecutor promises to ‘further intensify’ investigation of war crimes in Israel, Gaza
There are so many cynical responses to this. For the sake of efficiency, consider them all said.
[IsraelTimes] The chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court vows to step up efforts to investigate alleged war crimes, as he wraps up a visit to Israel and the West Bank.

Karim Khan stresses his visit is "not investigative in nature," but says he was able to speak to victims on both sides of the conflict. "My office will further intensify its efforts to advance its investigations in relation to this situation."

"Credible allegations of crimes during the current conflict should be the subject of timely, independent examination and investigation," he adds.

But ICC teams have not been able to enter Gazoo

or investigate in Israel, which is not an ICC member.

Khan says he witnessed "calculated cruelty" at the sites attacked by Hamas
...not a terrorist organization, even though it kidnaps people, holds hostages, and tries to negotiate by executing them,...
. Those attacks "represent some of the most serious international crimes that shock the conscience of humanity, crimes which the ICC was established to address." He adds also that "the manner in which Israel responds to these attacks is subject to clear legal parameters that govern armed conflict."

Israeli Minister: Michelle Obama Has Refused to Condemn October 7 Attack on Israeli Women; ‘Silence'
[Breitbart] May Golan, Minister for the Advancement of the Status of Women of Israel, said Saturday that she had approached former U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama to condemn attacks on Israeli women by Hamas on October 7 — and been met with complete silence.

Golan, a member of the ruling Likud party, spoke to host Erel Segal on Israel’s Channel 14, in the course of an interview about the broader failure of women’s rights organizations to condemn allegations of sexual violence against women during the terror attack.

In recent years, Michelle Obama has participated in projects helping the advancement of women and girls around the world.

A search of Michelle Obama’s social media accounts does not show any statements about Israel or the October 7 terror attack.

As Breitbart News reported, UN Women — the United Nations organization for the advancement of women’s rights and equality — finally condemned allegations of “gender-based violence” against Israeli women on Friday, eight weeks after the attack.

SecDef Austin Warns: If Israel Isn't Careful, Palestinians Might Support Hamas
[Breitbart] Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin warned at the Reagan National Defense Forum on Saturday that Israel could face “strategic defeat” if it was not more careful about how it fought Hamas, because more Palestinians might be driven to support the terrorist group .

Austin seemed not to know that the vast majority of Palestinians already support Hamas, at least in one recent opinion poll.

A wartime poll of Gaza and West Bank residents last month by Birzeit University’s Arab World for Research & Development (AWRAD) found that "the majority of (59%) strongly supported or (16%) supported to some extent the October 7 attacks carried by the Hamas-led factions." Hamas received the support of 76% of respondents. The poll is marred somewhat by the fact that there is no free speech in Hamas-run Gaza or the Palestinian Authority-run areas of the West Bank. Still, the results are notable.

The majority of Palestinians also voted for Hamas in the last Palestinian election of any kind, the parliamentary elections of 2006.

Saudi journalist blasts Hamas leaders for living in luxury, sending people to die
[WND] A new diatribe from a Saudi journalist has excoriated the leaders of Hamas for living in luxury while sending their people to die.

The blast from journalist Musa'ad Al-Thobaiti explains that's what Islamic leaders appeared to be fond of doing.

It's a report from the Middle East Media Research Institute
...MEMRI, for short...
that explained the writings are from Al-Thobaiti in the Saudi daily Okaz.

The punishing article was headlined, "They Hide in Their Tunnels and Sell Out Their People For a Paltry Price."

The author "condemned the fighters of the Hamas military wing, who hide in tunnels in Gaza, as well as Hamas' leaders abroad, who stay in luxury hotels, saying that they all forsake their people instead of fighting Israel."

He pointed out that they "resemble numerous other leaders of terrorist organizations, such as al-Qaida founder Osama bin Laden and the Islamic State leader Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi, who hid in tunnels or in fortified houses with the members of their family while leaving their supporters alone in the fray."

He charged that "the Islamic nation" is being "deceived by 'a gang of cowards and traders in blood' who sell their people illusions and bring them nothing but death and destruction."

Israel identifies Hezbollah's Ibrahim Aqil as head of the deadly Radwan unit
[Jpost] Over the weekend, KAN News identified the man responsible for Hezbollah’s elite Radwan ForceIbrahim Aqil,
...a.k.a. Tahsin, wanted by the U.S. State Department with a bounty of $7 million for information. A photo of the gentleman in question can be seen at the link...
a Hezbollah terrorist who has been sanctioned in the past by the US.

The report noted that the Radwan Force includes many of Hezbollah’s elite fighters, and has suffered casualties in the last 60 days of tension with Israel in the North. More than 100 Hezbollah fighters have been wounded or killed since October 7, when the Lebanese-based terrorist group began to launch rockets, drones, and mortars at the Jewish state to support Hamas.

As of this writing, around 90 Hezbollah operatives have been killed since October 7 - some were operatives and commanders in the Radwan unit.
The report said that Aqil is “also the one who is largely responsible over the last two years for the movement of Radwan personnel toward Israel’s northern border.” The report noted that under Aqil’s leadership, the elite force has seen several operational failures.

“Dozens of failed launches of anti-tank missiles have led to casualties and damages to property on the Lebanese side,” it said, adding that “following the [pause in fighting on November 24], the presence of the Radwan Force in the border area has decreased, compared to the period before October 8, when Hezbollah joined the fighting… Since the firing was renewed yesterday in the North, Aqil continues to conduct his war effort, despite the many failures and deaths in the first round.”

HEZBOLLAH HAS FAILED BUT REAL THREATS PERSIST
The main gist of this discussion is to highlight the fact that this known Hezbollah terrorist has failed. Nevertheless, the Radwan Force, and Hezbollah in general, remain a major threat.

Alma’s Research and Education Center noted last week that “Hezbollah’s Radwan unit is capable of invading the Galilee at any given moment.”

That report noted that Hezbollah has had to shift some of its posture in the wake of October 7. “Even if most of the Radwan operatives have distanced themselves from the border since the beginning of the war, in our assessment, this does not neutralize their ability to fulfill their main objective. We assess that the Radwan unit is continuing to collect intelligence near the border, and is making adjustments to its operational plans.”

It further stated that “as of this writing, around 90 Hezbollah operatives have been killed since October 7. It seems that some of those killed were operatives and commanders in the Radwan unit. The number of operatives killed has no bearing on Hezbollah’s overall competence or that of the Radwan unit in particular.”

Aqil is a central figure in Hezbollah, having played a role in the terrorist group’s involvement in the Syrian civil war after 2011, according to a July 2021 article by Matthew Levitt at the Washington Institute.

Also, Aqil was a member of the group’s “Jihad Council,” and was sanctioned by the US, which offered a reward to the tune of up to $7 million as of this past April. The reward noted that Aqil, “also known as Tahsin, serves on Hezbollah’s highest military body, the Jihad Council.”

Back in the 1980’s, Aqil was a principal member of the Islamic Jihad – Hezbollah’s terrorist cell – that claimed the bombings of both the US Embassy in Beirut in April 1983, which killed 63 people, and the US Marine barracks a few months later in October, which killed 241 US personnel.

The report further highlighted that the US Department of the Treasury associated Aqil to a hostage-taking situation on July 21, 2015, and that he was added to the list of Specially Designated Global Terrorists in 2019.

The overall trajectory of Aqil and his role in Israel’s current tensions with Hezbollah remains unclear. Whether Hezbollah has failed in Lebanon and this failure has led to losses for the group, or whether the group sees this as a success, will take time to determine. Because, since it has a lot of military hardware and numerous fighters, Hezbollah continues to pose for a threatening presence, despite having suffered losses.

The British Defense Ministry tells the network that the surveillance aircraft "will be unarmed, do not have a combat role, and will be tasked solely to locate hostages."

"Only information relating to hostage rescue will be passed to the relevant authorities responsible for hostage rescue," the ministry is quoted as saying.

#5  Like Yogi said, you can observe a lot by just running surveillance flights. Ground penetrating radar, full motion video, traffic analysis, target reference points, probably a bit far away for facial recog, but I'm told you can train a neural network to recognize people by their shape and gait.

As for being unarmed, you don't need a weapon to spot for artillery and drones.

It's nice to see the Brits helping out, but one can't help being a bit suspicious.

IDF said to amend Gaza war plans in light of US demands for much-reduced civilian deaths

He previously served as deputy national security advisor from 2013 to 2015 and deputy secretary of state from 2015 to 2017 under the corrupt and inept Obama administration. , the IDF "updated" and "made amendments" to its plans for expanding operations into the southern Gaza Strip, an Israeli diplomatic official is quoted telling Channel 12 news.

Blinken specified that Israel must designate multiple safe zones in southern and central Gaza for civilians to avoid the fighting, avoid the targeting of "life-critical infrastructure" such as hospitals, power stations and water treatment plants, and minimize the displacement of Gazooks, among other demands.

"We did not ignore the American points, and this will become clear in the coming few days," the official was quoted saying in the TV report, which comes as the IDF is gearing up for ground operations in Khan Younis and elsewhere in Gaza following the collapse on Friday of a week-long truce.

The TV report said Israel has also decided to keep humanitarian aid entering Gaza at the same levels as during the truce. It said senior Israeli officials are considering significantly increasing humanitarian aid — including food, medicines, fuel and gas — in light of the US concerns.

The report quotes the Israeli official saying that Blinken and US President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. We hold these truths to be self-evident. All men and women created ... by the — you know — you know, the thing...
, in his most recent phone conversation with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, presented the demands as "a kind of condition: In order to receive continued American support for the achievement of the war goals, Israel must prove that all its plans take the civilian population into consideration, that it reduces to a minimum the evacuation of civilians from their homes, and that it works to provide more and more safe areas for non-combatants."

#4  How can one tell the difference between Hamas terrorists and Palestinian civilians in Gaza?

Near as I can tell, the Hamass terrorists are actively trying to kill Jews while Paleo citizens only do it opportunistically. Admittedly, in the heat of the moment, say when you are working a checkpoint and a young girl tries to stab you with scissors, this may be a distinction without a difference.

"What is the meaning of the humanitarian truce

wants the spread of the war to the South and to our innocent Lebanese residents there. If, God forbid, it spreads to the South, no one would know where it would stop and the magnitude of victims and destruction it would leave, so we pray to God to keep it away from us," the patriarch added.

"No one can force the Lebanese people to bear the burdens of a war in which they have nothing," al-Rahi went on to say.

The patriarch also said that "the failure to elect a president and the closure of the presidential palace are a blatant crime that is destroying state institutions and public administrations while spreading chaos and corruption and tarnishing Lebanon’s civilized face."

"We are acting in the north all the time against all efforts by Hezbollah to operate against us. We are eliminating terror cells, pushing them away from the border, destroying munitions. We will continue with strong deterrence in the north, and total victory in the south," Netanyahu said.

"We will restore security to the north and the south. If Hezbollah makes a mistake and enters into a broad war it will have destroyed Lebanon with its own hands," he warned.
