The Fatal Flaw Of The Renewable Revolution
[ZeroHedge] Ramping up wind turbines, solar panels and electric vehicles can’t solve our energy problem
  • Renewables are hailed as a potential solution to the world’s energy problem, but it might not be as easy as simply installing more turbines or solar panels.

  • Renewable tech is incredibly complex and requires a lot of support in order to function.

  • Increasingly complex energy solutions are undoubtedly powerful and promising, but in practice, they often result in more fuel use rather than less.

#2  In addition to renewables being unpredictable (a no-no for the electric grid) they are low yield. The amount of materials, labor and support to create a megawatt of energy is akin to having a low paying job vs high paying and expecting to get rich.

#3  The genuine goal of the entire renewable fable was always to enrich those benefactors of your policy, not to serve the American people. Political corruption as national strategy, dressed up in messianic zeal with huge emotional loading for the useful idiots, a particular skill Demokrat Party skill.

#4  The renewable energy scam is like the CoVID vaccine scam, it continues only because too many people will be embarrassed or implicated when the truth is finally understood. Once about 70 percent of people realize the truth, the Jenga tower will tip over and the media will try to spin that nobody understood reality beforehand.

#5  if environmentalist were series they would have been pushing for nuclear and some kind of core tap to ge the energy from the Earth. Not wind and solar which obviously can't provide most of the time.

Systemic Racism Makes Animals Abandon Black Neighborhoods, Researchers Say
[ZERO] White neighborhoods have greater abundance and diversity of animal life, and Canadian researchers say racism is to blame.

"Systemic racism alters the demography of urban wildlife populations in ways that generally limit population sizes and negatively affect their chances of persistence," write the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg's Chloé Schmidt and Colin J. Garroway in a study published in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

In a study that examined 39 terrestrial vertebrate species in 268 urban locations across the United States, the researchers found "generally consistent patterns of reduced genetic diversity and decreased connectivity in neighborhoods with fewer White residents."

BLUF:

In search of a solution, some liberals may reflexively look to busing the animals. Schmidt and Garroway, however, call for "equitably distributing and increasing the amount and connectivity of natural habitat in cities."

Rep. Jim Himes, D-Conn., says he has 'real concerns' about Biden administration's transparency on flying objects
[ABC] Rep. Jim Himes, D-Conn., ranking member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, said Sunday that he has "real concerns" about the Biden administration's transparency on the unidentified objects that have been shot down in recent days.

In an interview on NBC News’ "Meet the Press" Sunday, Himes, who is part of the "Gang of Eight," the top leaders of congressional intelligence committees, said those lawmakers received a "very extensive briefing" on the Chinese spy balloon that was shot down over water last week.

Himes expressed concern that the administration has been less forthcoming about the unidentified objects shot down over Alaskan and Canadian airspaces on Friday and Saturday, respectively, though he acknowledged that information may be scarce.

"Part of the problem is that the second and the third objects were shot down in very remote areas. So my guess is that there's just not a lot of information out there yet to share," he said.

"The one thing I see troubling ... is massive speculation about alien invasions and additional Chinese or Russian action," Himes said, adding that the "absence of information" will make people anxious.

"So I do hope the administration has a lot more information for all of us on what’s going on," Himes said.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., said Sunday that the U.S. believes the unidentified objects shot down over Alaskan and Canadian airspaces were balloons smaller than the size of the Chinese spy balloon shot down Feb. 4.

Schumer said in an interview on ABC's "This Week" that he was briefed Saturday night by National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan hours after the unidentified object in Canadian airspace was downed. Asked if the two objects that were shot down in recent days were balloons, Schumer said, "They believe they were, yes, but much smaller than the first one."

Britain
Stark warning Britain may be on brink of becoming a ZOMBIELAND: Experts fear explosion of fentanyl ‐ a drug 50 times stronger than heroin which has ravaged America ‐ as Mexican cartels seek to reap billions from an untapped European market
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Britain faces being gripped by its own fentanyl epidemic, according to experts who fear that the devastating zombie-esque scenes plaguing US cities are coming soon to a high street near you.

EU drug enforcement chiefs believe that Mexican cartels are seeking to expand their billion-dollar empire beyond American shores, putting Europe's untapped market in their crosshairs.

Although similar fentanyl warnings in the past have never come to fruition in the UK, concerns are now ramping up.

China-Japan-Koreas
It's a Bird, It's a Plane, It's a Chinese Spy Balloon... Peter Zeihan
Unfortunately for the Chinese, their balloon didn't make it in time for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade...however, it's made a much bigger splash than the rest of this year's balloons.

Now I'm no balloon expert, but it seems to me that a "spy balloon" is a little outdated for 2023; especially when an open-source satellite could have given them the same intel.

The effect of this balloon is two-fold. First, it's shown the world that the disconnect within the Chinese government has reached an all-time high. Second, diplomatic relations between the US and China have grown colder than ever and will likely be strained even further.

#3  One reason to use balloons for Elint recon is that at 50-100K ft you need to have an antenna that is 20-50 times smaller than if it were in orbit.

#4  So I ask myself why China would float a spy satellite over America. They have them in space, right? It’s not a test of our reactions, because now they have lost any element of surprise. The list goes on and on. If this was not an attack with a release of something we don’t know about there is only one good explaination. Their satellites in space are Chinese junk that don’t work and to get the images they needed, they had to get within 40,000 feet.

China Policy at Center for Security Policy, Brad Thayer joined Rose Unplugged to discuss China's balloons
A pretty good assessment.
[Gateway] Key takeaways from the interview:

— Biden’s ’Sputnik moment’: Is China’s spy balloon political warfare?
— The spy balloon that China sailed over the United States and Canada should compel Americans to ask what, exactly, Beijing is doing.
— This was likely a component of china’s political warfare campaign against the US and its Allies.
— China WANTED us to know they had a balloon hovering over us

#1  [Amazon Review] This book examines the contours of the Sino-American confrontation and its future trajectories. It delineates the two major causes of the friction in Sino-American relations―change in the balance of power in China’s favor and the conf licting ideologies of the two states―and emphasizes why it is imperative for the U.S. to hold on to its ideological principles. It demonstrates the ultimate and irreconcilable gap in the visions the two competitors have for international politics and consequently why conf lict―certainly cold, and very possibly hot―is inevitable. The authors also suggest measures which the U.S. can adopt to sustain its leadership and deter China’s ideology and vision for the future of global politics.

A significant contribution to the study of Sino-American relations, the volume will be of interest to scholars and researchers of international relations, foreign policy, and U.S. and Chinese politics. It will be of great interest to think tanks, public policy professionals, and the interested general reader.

India-Pakistan
A culture of violence
[GEO.TV] Our society has become more and more violent mostly peaceful. There is no doubt about this and plenty of evidence to illustrate the point. In recent years we have the terrible murder of the Sri Lankan factory employee in Sialkot who was killed by a mob. Before this, we also have the brutal killing of Mashal Khan at his university in Charsadda and other incidents which include the burning alive of a Christian couple, again on charges of blasphemy
...the act of insulting or showing contempt or lack of reverence to a deity, or sacred objects, or toward something considered sacred or inviolable. Some religions consider it to be a crime. In Pakistain you can commit blasphemy by looking cross-eyed at a Koran...
. There have been many other cases involving the abduction and in some cases torture of persons accused of marrying of their free will.

There is also some body of evidence which suggests our political culture has contributed to these attitudes seeping down into society. The abusive language and misogyny used by our politicians has had an impact on younger people, particularly since the PTI, which is perhaps a party most guilty of the use of abuse, is followed by youngsters to a considerable extent. Other parties too are not completely clean in this regard and have used the most offensive language now and in the past.

Gun Control Or Psych Drugs Control? (video)
[Brighteon] Psychiatry, over the past five decades, has systematically and deceptively pursued a self-serving policy of medicalizing virtually every significant problem of thinking, feeling, and/or behaving. Their pharma allies have provided the money, and psychiatry has provided the credentials, in what is arguably the most widespread and destructive swindle in human history. And they have been enormously successful. Their spurious notions are widely accepted today as reality.

In a sane world where medical doctors practiced the Hippocratic Oath, psychiatrists weren’t deceived by drug company propaganda, and neither obeyed the seductive allure of kickbacks for prescribing modern snake-oil, antidepressants and other psych drugs would quickly become footnotes in history — minimally used, short-term tools — even abandoned. Let’s help them along before another national tragedy strikes.
