Subverting Medical Science For A Race-Based Political Agenda
[American Thinker] For almost two years, everyone has ignored an important "health equity" story affecting 87% of Americans. It concerns the medical definition of chronic kidney disease (CKD), which is an impairment of the kidney’s ability to filter waste, toxins, and excess fluids from the blood. Affecting approximately 37 million US adults, the disease can lead to dialysis, kidney replacement, and death.

Physicians and health care providers rely on laboratory measurements of glomerular filtration rate (GFR) to diagnose CKD and to qualify patients for treatment, Medicare-paid education, referrals to a nephrologist (kidney specialist), and kidney transplants. GFR is usually estimated from a chemical in the blood called "creatinine." High creatinine levels signify that the kidneys are not functioning well. Nearly 250 million creatinine measurements are made each year in the US.

On average, blacks have higher creatinine levels than non-blacks with the same kidney function. Their higher creatinine levels may arise because blacks in America have greater average muscle mass than non-blacks.

For over two decades, the formulas used to estimate GFR have included a correction for the higher creatinine concentrations in blacks in order to obtain the very best estimate of their directly measured GFR (the gold standard of kidney function.) This correction factor increased black GFR between 16% and 21%.

#2  [yawn] same blood creatinine level, a black patient might not receive the same kidney treatment as a non-black patient

There's no 'treatment' until your numbers are truly awful and you're looking at dialysis, and then replacement.

I've had high creatinine numbers for 15 years, which stabilized when I stopped taking two Aleve every day - for arthritis pain.

My kidney doctor said to try hydroxychloroquine for the pain - "sometimes it helps". I still take it for the arthritis, but nothing at all for the kidneys.

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
‘The Holodomor': How Ukraine distorted the history of a tragic Soviet famine to help build its modern national myth
[RT] At the end of November, Ukraine commemorates the victims of the great Soviet famine of the 1930s. According to different estimates, the tragedy claimed from four to nine million lives throughout the country — in Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia and Ukraine.

The exact number of deaths is hard to determine due to a lack of records, but the general Western consensus is that most deaths happened in the Russian and Ukrainian republics, with slightly more overall in the latter. However, per capita, the biggest effect was in Kazakhstan (where it is called the Asharshylyk), which lost over a third of its entire population.

From the very first years of Ukraine’s independence, this event — known as the Holodomor (death by hunger) in the Ukrainian language — was politicized and served as a basis for constructing the country’s new national identity.

For decades, various Ukrainian politicians, and other opinion formers, have convinced their people that the starvation of the 1930s was a deliberate and cynical extermination of the country’s intelligentsia and peasantry. Perpetrated by "Russians."

However, not only was the Soviet Union controlled by the Georgian Joseph Stalin, at the time, Russians also died in their millions during the horrific great hunger.

CUTTING TIES WITH THE EMPIRE
Since the end of the 19th century, Ukraine has attempted to nationalize and mythologize its history in order to create a distinct Ukrainian national identity. For example Mikhail Grushevsky’s concept that Ukraine is the direct successor of Kievan Rus. In the post-Soviet period, the tendency to mythologize history grew even stronger in the new state. Backed by the government, Ukrainian researchers created their own historical narrative, attempting to separate the country’s history not only from its Soviet but also from its imperial past.

Modern Russia was considered an ’heir’ of the Soviet Union and of the Russian Empire — in Ukraine’s understanding, the "colonizers" who wanted to wipe out the country’s national identity. Kiev quickly assumed the role of a victim of the communist regime. This allowed the country’s authorities to cut themselves off from the controversial decisions of the Soviet era — for example, the policy of "korenizatsiia" (nativization) i.e. the forceful "Ukrainization" of the republic’s elites and its cultural and educational fields. Most importantly, this concept allowed Ukraine to blame someone else for the country’s modern-day problems.

The narrative implied that the main tragedy of the Ukrainian people in the Soviet era was not World War II and the German occupation, but the great famine of the 1930s. According to various estimates, between 3.5 million and 10 million people died of hunger throughout the USSR at that time. But in independent Ukraine, these tragic events were presented as a deliberate genocide against the peasantry and the intelligentsia. The tragedy became known as the Holodomor (literally death by hunger).

According to the conclusions made by the Institute of Russian History of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the famine was the result of a policy of forced collectivization that was implemented throughout the USSR. The censuses of 1926 and 1937 indicate that some other Soviet regions suffered from the famine, per capita, even more than the Ukrainian SSR. For example, the population of Ukraine decreased by 20.5% while that of Kazakhstan decreased by 30.9%, and the population decline in Russia’s Volga Region amounted to 23%.

However, Ukrainian historians chose to ignore the data and insisted that the famine affected only Ukraine and, moreover, was a deliberate plan to annihilate the Ukrainian population. The Holodomor was widely discussed in the late 1980s, in light of the increasing criticism of communism. It played a major role in legitimizing Ukraine’s secession from the USSR and was actively used for propaganda purposes. Before the independence referendum, Ukrainian TV broadcast a publicly funded documentary film about the 1930s famine.

The Ukrainian diaspora abroad played a major role in presenting the Holodomor as a deliberate extermination of Ukrainian people. In 1985, through the efforts of an organization called Americans for Human Rights in Ukraine, a parliamentary commission was established in the United States to investigate the circumstances of the great famine. In 1988, the World Congress of Free Ukrainians helped establish an international legal commission that recognized the policies of collectivization, "dekulakization" (repressions against ’kulaks’ or wealthy peasants), and starvation as acts of deliberate genocide against the Ukrainian people by the Soviet government. Ukrainian organizations also sponsored memorial exhibitions and rallies in cities and villages that had been particularly affected by the hunger.
Long, but worth reading - I just got tired of MSM bullsh*t cited as fact here.

I believe the British enabled the political environment in it's troubled island state which fostered the number of domestic and foreign institutions leading to the Great Famine deaths and population migration.

Under any intellectual disguise, I don't see much difference in population behavior.

Europe
Miserable Germans are the second-grumpiest in the EU, study shows, as their economy heads towards recession and their government faces budget crisis
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Germans are among the least happy bunch in Europe, reporting the biggest shock drop in life satisfaction over the last 10 years of any country in the EU, data shows.

Research by Eurostat, the EU's stats agency, took a year-by-year measure of satisfaction between 2013 and 2022, asking Europeans to rate how they were doing on a scale from zero to 10.

Germans have seen the most dramatic shift downwards, self-reporting an average of 7.3 in 2013 down to just 6.5 last year as the country heads for a deeper recession -- making them the second most miserable on the continent overall.

Only in October the International Monetary Fund predicted the German republic would be the worst performing major economy this year, hit hard by high inflation and a manufacturing slump, and expected to shrink 0.5 per cent year.

The country also now faces a troubling budget crisis, with the coalition in charge struggling to agree a deal aimed at plugging an estimated €17bn gap in next year's spending plans.

Germany, Growing Desperate
[Claremont Review of Books] A lot of European governments were thrown into confusion in October when Hamas’s coordinated massacres and abductions sparked war between Israel and Palestinians in Gaza. Germany’s ruling coalition of Social Democrats, Greens, and free marketers was not among them. In early November, economics minister Robert Habeck, a leader of the Green party, issued a ten-minute video warning over the internet to German Muslim supporters of Hamas and to various homegrown leftists and rightists. In gauging its response, their country did not enjoy the luxury of relativism. "It was my grandparents’ generation," Habeck explained,

who sought to destroy Jewish life in Germany. The founding of Israel...was a promise of protection to the Jews. Germany is bound to help that this promise be kept. This is a historical foundation of our republic.

This kind of speech—grounded as it was in the country’s constitutional principles rather than the speaker’s sentiments and policy ambitions—is almost never given in Europe today. It was superior to almost anything else said on the continent in the aftermath of the attacks. But a constitution is only as strong as the society committed to defend it, and the consensus around Germany’s 1949 Basic Law, inspired by American federalism and introduced during Allied occupation in the wake of World War II, is eroding.

...Well before the events in Gaza, Germany was nervous over migration. Today, 24 million of Germany’s roughly 80 million people—almost 30%—are of "migrant background," and 2.7 million migrants settled in the country in 2022 alone.

...What is clear is the direction Europe wishes to go. Today Denmark, where financial support for asylum seekers is negligible and where it takes an average of 19 years for a migrant to become a citizen, gets about 2,000 asylum applications in an average year. Germany is expected to get 400,000 by the end of 2023. Denmark is the country on which virtually all European governments have announced they wish to pattern their policies. Germany is the country whose example other countries most wish to avoid.

Government Corruption
Here's how we know COVID-19 crimes have been decades in the making
[LifeSite] STORY AT-A-GLANCE

  • In an October 2023 lecture, David E. Martin, Ph.D., detailed how we can know that SARS-CoV-2 is a manmade bioweapon that has been in the works for 58 years.

  • The virus called "coronavirus" was first described in 1965. Two years later, the U.S. and U.K. launched an exchange program where healthy British military personnel were infected with coronavirus pathogens from the U.S. as part of the U.S. biological weapons program.

  • In 1992, Ralph Baric at University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, took a pathogen that used to infect the gut and lungs and altered it with a chimera to make it infect the heart, causing cardiomyopathy. This research was part of the efforts to produce an HIV vaccine.

  • In November 2000, Pfizer patented its first spike protein vaccine. Between 2000 and 2019, vaccine trials using this technology proved it was lethal, yet in the summer of 2020, the clinical trials for the SARS-CoV-2 shots went straight into human trials.

  • mRNA spike protein was publicly described as a bioweapon 18 years ago. In 2005, at a conference hosted by DARPA and The Mitre Corporation, the mRNA spike protein was hailed as a "biological warfare-enabling technology," i.e., a biological warfare agent.

After Millions Of Illegal Crossings, Senate Republicans Finally Discover America Has A Border Crisis
[Federalist] It only took millions of illegal immigrants violating American sovereignty during Joe Biden’s presidency, but Senate Republicans are finally concerned about the ongoing invasion at the U.S.-Mexico border — or are they?

In recent weeks, Senate GOPers have been unusually vocal about the unprecedented influx of illegal immigrants at the U.S.-Mexico border, a crisis created by Biden administration policies that’s wreaking havoc on communities across the country. On Wednesday, for instance, Senate Republicans blocked a $110.5 billion foreign-aid package proposed by Biden that sought to give tens of billions of U.S. taxpayer dollars to Ukraine, arguing that the measure must include "strict new changes related to asylum" and other border policies before it receives GOP support.

The bill also would have earmarked funds for Israel and "other global hot spots."

"As we’ve said for weeks, legislation that doesn’t include policy changes to secure our borders will not pass the Senate," Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, a major proponent of shipping U.S. aid to Ukraine, said.

But Republicans’ push for increased U.S. border security isn’t as heroic as they’re making it out to be. McConnell and Co. aren’t saying they’ll no longer advance more aid to Ukraine altogether. They’re just stating they won’t consider doing so unless funding for U.S. border security comes with it.

In other words, the Republican message to Democrats is: "Give us enough border funding to placate our base, and we’ll keep helping you bankroll Ukraine’s forever war."

Of course, Biden could Amnesty all the ILLEGALS and given them citizenship and the right to vote for Christmas.

#2  Can do amnesty but can't give citizenship without throwing out the Constitution. Article 1, Section 8, Clause 4, also allows the Congress to create law regarding naturalization, which includes citizenship. All it takes then is a few state to similarly declare that the compact in thus rendered null and void due to such and act.

Of course if any Trunk ever got to the position again, they could grant amnesty to all living Americans for the 'crime' of slavery that ended over 150 years ago. Race hustlers hit hardest.

Niall Ferguson: The Treason of the Intellectuals
[The Free Press] In 1927 the French philosopher Julien Benda published La trahison des clercs—"The Treason of the Intellectuals"—which condemned the descent of European intellectuals into extreme nationalism and racism. By that point, although Benito Mussolini had been in power in Italy for five years, Adolf Hitler was still six years away from power in Germany and 13 years away from victory over France. But already Benda could see the pernicious role that many European academics were playing in politics.

Those who were meant to pursue the life of the mind, he wrote, had ushered in "the age of the intellectual organization of political hatreds." And those hatreds were already moving from the realm of the ideas into the realm of violence—with results that would be catastrophic for all of Europe.

A century later, American academia has gone in the opposite political direction—leftward instead of rightward—but has ended up in much the same place.
No. Back then fascists were creatures of the left. National Socialists are only of the right when viewed from the perspective of International Socialists competing in the same political space. Though otherwise the point stands.
The question is whether we—unlike the Germans—can do something about it.
