Old Dixie Highway renamed in honor of Obama in Riviera Beach
[SUN-SENTINEL] Riviera Beach renamed Old Dixie Highway in honor of President Barack Obama during a ceremony on Thursday, a change that city officials say will help move the community past its segregated history.

It is the second road in Palm Beach County to be named in honor of the 44th president, county officials said. Two years ago, Pahokee in western Palm Beach County renamed East First Street to Barack Obama Boulevard.
"We are not now and never have been part of the South! All that stuff with the guns and such, that never happened here. It was someplace else. We dunno where."

#2  The PC police and Obama's legacy legion should name some hala food after Obama; quit annoying us and leave the Dixie Highway alone too.

#5  The truth is that in three years the people that voted for this are going to realize how stupid they were.

AND they will probably be voted out of office for being so stupid.

When the house of cards comes crashing down and the next administration either GOP or Dem has to explain some of the actions they are taking to fix his mistakes, the press cannot run cover for him. When it all gets out on the table what a terrible president and what an awful person he really is/and how dark his motives were, it will be a very interesting time for the media that ran cover for him.

Feel the Bern
Bernie Sanders'
...The only openly Socialist member of the U.S. Senate. Sanders was Representative-for-Life from Vermont until moving to the Senate for the rest of his life in 2006, assuming the seat vacated by Jim Jeffords...
' campaign on Friday threatened to sue the Democratic National Committee for suspending its access to the national voter database, saying the move threatens to undermine the Vermont senator's presidential run.
Since he's a Socialist (Big S) and not a Democrat I'd say they were perfectly justified.
Even as the campaign admitted its staffers had inappropriately reviewed and saved Hillary Clinton campaign data made available as a result of a software error, it emphatically accused the DNC of sabotage and of blatantly favoring Clinton.
Took him this long to figure that out?
"We are announcing today that if the DNC continues to hold our data hostage, and continues to try to attack the heart and soul of our campaign, we will be in federal court this afternoon seeking an immediate injunction," Sanders' campaign manager Jeff Weaver said at a press conference Friday afternoon, on the eve of the third Democratic debate.
"The leadership of the Democratic National Committee is now actively attempting to undermine our campaign. This is unacceptable," he said. "Individual leaders of the DNC can support Hillary Clinton in any way they want, but they are not going to sabotage our campaign -- one of the strongest grassroots campaigns in modern history."
Silly man. He thought he had a chance.
At issue is a revelation that Sanders' digital director Josh Uretsky -- likely along with other staffers -- took advantage of a software error this week by political data technology company NGP VAN that allowed them to see the voter file that contains vital information used by campaigns to identify and monitor voters and potential supporters.

#1  The promoters should hype this sham as a mud-wrestling contest between Hildabeest and Bernie--someone might watch. Alas, Bernie and Hilda in tights or wrestling togs might be too much for people.

#2  It is indeed a sham. She's about as worried about being defeated by Bernie as she is be buggered by Bill. Political theater and media hype at it's very worst.

#3  I have a feeling this will get much worse. The Hillary camp and Wasserman-Shultz, but I repeat myself, are accusing the Sanders campaign of outright lying about what happened and calling for criminal charges. Move On is howling and in Bernie's corner. Bernie doesn't seem to know just how brutal and vindictive Hillary is.

The New York Times Just Memory-Holed This Devastating Champ Admission
[Federalist] A story published by the New York Times late Thursday night caused some major media waves. The story, which was written by reporters Peter Baker and Gardiner Harris, included a remarkable admission by Obama about his response to the recent terror attacks in Paris and San Bernardino, California.

By Friday morning, however, the entire passage containing Obama's admission had been erased from the story without any explanation from the New York Times. Here's the passage that was included in the story when it was published Thursday night, courtesy of CNN's Brian Stelter:

In his meeting with the columnists, Mr. Obama indicated that he did not see enough cable television to fully appreciate the anxiety after the attacks in Paris and San Bernardino, and made clear that he plans to step up his public arguments. Republicans were telling Americans that he is not doing anything when he is doing a lot, he said.

The version of the New York Times story that was published early Thursday evening indicated that Obama knew he was out of touch with the country on terrorism, and he thought that was due to not watching enough television. Obama critics immediately pounced on the stunning admission from the president, expressing shock that he would claim that a lack of TV time was the real reason for him not understanding Americans' anxiety about terrorism.

As of Friday morning, however, the passage containing Obama's admission was gone. Newsdiffs.org, a web site which captures changes made to online news stories, indicates that the major revision to the NYT story happened late on Thursday night, several hours after the story was published (text with a red background and strike-through is text that was eliminated from the story; text with a green background is text that was added to the story since its last revision):
